Spark by Hilton Glendale Phoenix North

Very close to where we had appointments. I don’t think it merits the Hilton namesake. It was overpriced for the quality of the hotel and rooms. If the price had been more reasonable I would have given it a better rating. I just had higher expectations based on the price and the Hilton name. I have an issue with ALL hotels, not just this one. It has become standard practice for “pet friendly” hotels to automatically charge a $75 fee for your pet. That is quite a bit of money. I assumed the charge is based on the additional cleaning expense that “might” be required. But in most cases the “pet friendly” rooms travelers are assigned to have filthy carpets. $75 should cover a carpet shampoo once a week or as needed.

We had a very pleasant stay at Spark by Hilton Glendale Phoenix North. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and provided excellent value for the price. The rooms were well-maintained, with comfortable beds and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The common areas were clean and inviting, and the property felt safe and well cared for. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient, making our stay hassle-free. We also appreciated the convenient location, which provided easy access to nearby restaurants, shopping, and local attractions. The complimentary breakfast was a nice addition and offered a good variety of options to start the day. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Phoenix/Glendale area. We would definitely stay here again.

I was lucky to travel with disposable sheets because one of the beds had some noticeable stains on them. The website said there was complimentary breakfast, but all it really was was a bagel bar. Based on the site, I thought there would be a microwave in the room, but there wasn't. The shower pressure was not the best.

Hotel was not in the best condition. Neds to be updated. The cost of the stay ws not worth the expense based on the condition and the quality of staff present

The hotel stay was pleasant, and the staff were super nice. I really enjoyed the breakfast, spacious rooms, comfy beds, and the stores, restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. My only critique was the furniture in the rooms was dated and one of the lamps didn't work. With that said, If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely stay there.

Everything was just average. I think the price point for the property is too high. The small single sink and small bathroom with pry marks on rhe door was disappointing. I also sought to upgrade to a king bed but they said none were available. This is odd because on a Tuesday the place was empty.

The room was clean and suited our purposes for the trip. There’s a small area in the lobby to purchase snacks and drinks and there’s a microwave in the lobby as well (none in the room). The hotel is walking distance to a few restaurants. It does have a swimming pool, but it was very basic and average. The staff was very friendly and I’d stay here again.

The 24/7 coffee was really a nice touch. The pool and hot tub were the perfect temperature. Location was great. There was a beeping sound right outside my room door going off til like midnight and it was hard to go to sleep. Also I asked to check in just one hour early and they tried to get me to pay $35 for that. Ridiculous!

This is an okay place to lay your head for the night, but that’s it. Very bare-bones. Breakfast is meh, rooms don’t have coffee makers or clocks. There is a communal microwave in the lobby. Beds are old. It is quiet though. Not what I expected from a Hilton property.

Didnt care for just bagels for breakfast. Would like some warm items as eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and some bananas.

The listing said breakfast provided. I expect a full on breakfast, including cooked eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes, and those devilish waffle makers. This Hilton had a nice layout, with muffins, toast, fruit, cereals, and drinks, but not the full breakfast I expected from a Hilton. Sadly this was the second time in the past several months the listing said breakfast provided, but it was really a Continental breakfast inviting you to go down the street to get a real breakfast. For the $$ I paid, I expected a full breakfast, but didn't get it. Disappointed to say the least.

We stay at this property anytime we spend the night in Glendale. It’s always welcoming and clean and has friendly staff. We enjoy the location as it’s only about a mile from our great grandchildren.

I was blown away by the friendliness that I experienced from everyone I ran into. The front staff were super friendly and helpful, as well as were constantly asking if there's anything else that they can help me with. The room was very clean and the bed was superrr comfortable compared to other hotels that I've stayed at. The AC worked amazingly and cooled the room where you could escape from the hot Arizona heat! Amenities like shampoo conditioner and body wash are provided in the showers as well as a pump-style hand soap! Really enjoyed that as I don't usually prefer the bar of soaps most hotels give you. The area felt super safe and was near many restaraunts such as Outback Steakhouse, Krispy Kreme, and Popeyes. I'm definetely planning on staying here when I come to Phoenix! 5 outta 5 stars, maybe even more!

This hotel is an old comfort Inn that has been converted to a Hilton. The amenities and the standard fall short of what I am accustomed to being a longtime Hilton customer and staying at all of their different properties. There’s nothing wrong with the place, but it doesn’t meet the expectation of Hilton.

Major rip off for $260/night. Exterior “security” door does not even stay closed. I notified the hotel and they said it would be fixed and it wasn’t. Room was not very clean. Shower floor felt like you were going to fall through the floor. Pillows were mush. Pool is tiny and made bathing suits smell like vomit. Do not recommend staying here.

Our stay was good, the rooms were clean. We stayed to attend spring training games, so rooms were a bit pricey. The pool is small, but we enjoyed it after the hot games. The breakfast was bleak, and no microwaves in the rooms were the only negatives. Friendly staff, plenty of parking, and decent area. Enjoyed the convenience of Outback Steakhouse being just a few steps away for dinner.

The staff was nice. The room was inferior. No drawers to use for clothes. Tv was terrible. Need a new provider. Breakfast was not up to Hilton standards and the same every day. No place for 4 people to sit together. Get rid of the benches and put in tables. Air conditioning very noisy had to shut off to sleep. Couldn’t even buy 16 oz water bottles. Just larger ones. I booked 2 rooms and both me and my other and the other couple very disappointed. We are both Hilton honors customers. Won’t recommend this hotel and unhappy with Hilton

Shower water was ice cold. In fact, the cold water is warmer than the hot water, typical for this hot country. Smoke detector light bright green shining right into my eyes. Why do they even need lights on?

The hotel is clearly a low-budget hotel refurbished minimally with a Hilton label stuck on it. The quality of the "fixes" were minimal. Door on our fridge needed to be tightened. Door to bathroom didn't close 100% because the screws were properly screwed in (and not the right screws). The maid service didn't come in the four nights we stayed and they had plenty of opportunities. The front desk staff was very good. 24-hour coffee was nice. Felt like everything was done as cheaply as possible. The pictures over the beds were mismatched in whatever aesthetic you want to apply to them.

Rooms were clean and's the beds were comfortable. AC was a bit loud but kept the room nice. The bagel/ breakfast bar was adequate for a quick bite to eat. Lots of good breakfast restaurants in the area. “First Watch”, comes to mind.

Nice hotel for the value. Only issue I experienced was housekeeping forgot to leave us a floor mat to step out of the shower on to. I called Madeline at the front desk and she said I needed to come to the front desk myself to get one. She wasn’t very friendly!

Very near to Midwestern University. It’s clean and the sound proofing is good. Got a good night sleep. Very near to other restaurants. Limited breakfast offering but pretty decent for the price.

The walls between rooms are pretty thin and if you have neighbors you can hear them speaking or watching tv fairly clearly. The breakfast and coffee was wiped out by 0900, despite being offered until 1000. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

We went in December & it was nothing like the pictures. We got the king suite w/balcony & not worth the $197 per night. Complimentary breakfast has limited varieties. You could tell that it's been remodeled. Not too bad if you are looking for a safe place to sleep. Quiet area with lots of things to do near by.

Staff wanted to finish mopping floor before checking us in. After checking in and with our luggage we had to walk across a wet floor which I was very careful not to slip and fall. Why not get us checked in and let us walk across a dty floor. We already had driven 4 hours and were ready to relax.

I cannot say enough good about this hotel Robert and Stephanie and the rest of the staff made me very comfortable and at home. Everyone there is very happy and always smiling I stayed for 2 and 1/2 months enjoyed the saltwater pool!

Check in was good. Lobby seemed updated however the suite was outdated. Should have been a pool view but from the patio almost the entire view was a palm tree. There were no chairs to be able to sit on the patio. We returned from a party around 10 and some poor pup must have been left alone in a room nearby just barking. We ended up checking out at 11pm didn’t even sleep there.

The room was nice and confortable. My only critique is that the room smelled a bit of damp towels. You can definitely tell that upgrades were made now that Hilton is the owner. I would definitely return. Air conditioning units are new, bathroom is new, room furniture is new also.

It was a very good value.The time we spent there was very pleasant.However, for convenience, not having a microwave in the room to heat your drink and having to go back downstairs to either get more hot water( which when I went to get my extra hot water, it was cold) or get a fresh cup of coffee. That is very inconvenient. Also a little tiresome, for someone who's older. Would I stay there again?Yes, but I would make sure that I brought my own hot water kettle to plug in.

It’s an older hotel that has been redone - kind of you can tell lots of paint. Our room had a strange smell.

Just a stay over but felt safe location was great for what we had planned next to a steak house other shops near quite easy check and service was excellent the were willing to accommodate our early departure with the bagels. We declined but very thoughtful

The hotel was clean and up to date and everyone was friendly and helpful. It was nice that the pool opens early so I could swim before it was too hot to be outside. Parking was convenient.

The room wasn’t even cleaned before the next guest. When I arrived at my room there were food crumbs everywhere and the tv didn’t work. I asked the front desk to please fix the tv and vacuum the crumbs. They fixed the tv but left the mess.

Stephanie was amazing. She checked us in and immediately arranged our request for a crib and extra blankets. She was also understanding about my Grandson, whom is autistic. Kudos to Stephanie!!

Quick weekend trip. The hotel was nice and clean, large size rooms staff was wonderful.

For an Inn type of hotel, it’s great. It’s not a vacation spot but more of a serves the purpose of clean room and board. The staff is friendly and helpful and most importantly the hotel is clean. It’s really nice that they serve coffee and a light breakfast.

Room wasn’t very clean and lots of stains on furniture. Pink mold and rotting drywall in bathroom near shower. Pool was great

The TV has nothing on it. The programming is all wrong. The pool was dirty. Too noisy in the morning!

There are no dresser drawers- plan accordingly. Bring ear plugs. The walls and ceilings are paper thin. Staff was very friendly.

Nothing it was an average hotel

It is the second time I have sprayed here. I came back because it is a clean and well maintained hotel. It is also located close to dining and to the North Phoenix/Glendale area.

I found the check-in assistance to be outstanding. Both the afternoon and early morning assistants were highly professional and knowledgeable, providing me with information about nearby restaurants. The wake-up call was scheduled at the perfect time and executed promptly, as I had an important meeting to attend.

We were on the second floor and for two nights they were very loud, sounded like stomping all over. So we decided to cut our trip short and came home a day early. Would like to see a refund please.

Our room smelled terrible as soon as we walked in, the bed was very springy, water rot around the edges of the shower, and our bathroom sink literally fell apart and crashed down off the cabinet that was holding it up in the middle of night.

Water did not get hot in the room. Luke warm at best. Breakfast limited. Very thin walls and the hotel although had upgrades done to it was still aged, older building. Not my first choice to stay again.

I love this hotel , I enjoyed my last stay! This stay was also great , but I paid $200 for a suite and it was extremely hot and the ac wouldn't cool the room. Only the bed room was cold but the living room area was extremely hot.

In Phoenix for my granddaughters graduation and needed a place to stay nearby. We had stayed in a Spark in Tucson and it was wonderful so we chose it here. Really nice place. Highly recommend it if you need a clean and comfortable place to stay at a reasonable cost. My only complaint had to do with the “store”. We checked in about 10:15, tried to buy some things and were told it closed at 10. Not a big deal but it would have been nice

good location, easy access, close to shopping and restaurants. "Bagel bar" breakfast had lots more than just bagels - fresh fruit, muffins, bread/toast, etc.

Electronics didn’t work and the pool was really small and the hot tub wasn't hot

The breakfast service was impressive, being both prompt and clean. The room was exceptionally clean and provided a comfortable environment for rest. My appreciation goes to the team.

Excellent building, clean and very convenient, breakfast could have been better

From day one, the staff was amazing. The only issues I had was the pool. The Jacuzzi was not cleaned. It had a lot of debris in them and when I wanted my room clean, they did not vacuum nor did they wash out the bath bathtub all in all four star would definitely stay there again.

The room was very clean, the bed comfy and the staff excellent. I would have preferred some drawers to put clothes in and we could hear our neighbors TV.

Super clean and quite.

Great location, newly renovated, good condition facility. Many empty spaces in the king room, not enough furnitures to place bags and luggages. Staff doesn’t seem to want to work. Breakfast has no hot items.

Very good for a nice place to have a good nights sleep.

The bed's sheet wasn't clean with big yellow stain.
