Solid hotel experience.

I didn’t like it I didn’t like that the shower was cold. No hot water. The comforter was not cleaned. The vending machine area was dirty. The bed was shaky. The bathroom was small

The lobby is nice, but once you turn the corner the carpets, walls and wall panels in the elevator are dingy, ripped and have dirt and oil discoloration from where people put their heads while waiting in the elevator. The rooms have dirty carpets, and it looks like they just painted old furniture and called it a day. Do you like your room cold? Too bad. The thermostat can be turned as cold as it goes, with the fan as high as it goes, and your room is still going to be warm and humid. The thermostat has to be 40 years old. The bathroom doorknob is stuck in "locked" mode no matter what, which is a fun surprise when your child calls for your help figuring out the bathtub. Is your reservation for four people? That's fine. You only need two towels. The pool area is gross. No clean towels to be found, but there were dirty ones (and trash, and fake eyelashes) all around. The gym floor is made of uneven floor squares that are lower in the middle and higher as you go up the sides. It's a liability and a tripping hazard. Asked for no housekeeping, they came anyway. We stayed 4 nights. Finally, by the last night we had towels and a box fan. Staff was apologetic but made no attempt to fix anything aside from the fan and towels, citing it was our fault for booking on hotels.com

I’ve stayed in better and a little cheaper before. It was ok. I still would stay here again. Just not The best. No free breakfast either for the price we payed.

Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. On our reservation we mentioned one request that would make our stay better and we were delighted the staff handled it right away. Excellent breakfast and server staff.

Heating and cooling systems were very old. The bathroom was so small only one person at a time could fit. The bed was old and very hard with no comfort. I was very disappointed. I’ll be staying a few miles away at the Westin or Embassy Suiy.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk, Will, was very kind, knowledgeable and made the check-in/out seamless.

In regards to the room, it was fine. The bathroom was very tight. Carpet was sticky. Hotel breakfast was very limited and the items were not being refilled faster. I wouldn't call it a buffet for the small spread it had. Some items we were told as done, though an hour remaining in the breakfast timing on Saturday. Next time, I'd choose some other hotel.

Rooms need updating. Thermostat is manual with no temp readings. Rooms were kind of tight. Rooms were clean and the lobby was very nice. Staff was friendly.

I never got a room. I was notified that expedia over booked ...so I did not get a room....and I am waiting for my credit(room cost) to go back to my credit card from Expedia.

Breakfast was simple and delicious. Saturday morning, only one overworked young lady was available for a full dining room. The shuttle set up for the weekend was extremely helpful and appreciated. Parking was plentiful and access to local shops very easy. This was our second visit and we will return.

A nice hotel. But a little dated. I was on the 3rd floor. So not sure if other rooms were updated.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Room service and cleaning was great. We did not try the breakfast. Traveled for a football tournament. Property is a lil older but very family friendly. The mattress for the pullout bed was older and stained.

Everything was okay. When I booked my room online it said that breakfast was included but it wasn't. This wasn't a huge deal for me because I don't usually eat breakfast but needs to be fixed.

The hotel room keys continuously malfunctioned and I needed to get new keys. The restaurant was not open Sunday or Monday. My rooms were prepaid via Expedia (Itineraries #73400939577096 and #73401902913251) for a total of $539.26. However, my bank statement currently shows four additional pending transactions from your property totaling $526.28 ($314.60, $105.84, $55.84, and $50.00). These charges were never disclosed, authorized, or explained at any point during my stay. Beyond the financial discrepancy, the quality of service was unacceptable: One bathroom was filthy upon arrival, and the plumbing in the walls knocked loudly for the duration of the three-day stay. On Saturday, while we were napping, front desk staff woke us up to blame my sleeping son for a noise complaint. Despite our own complaints about children running in the halls and beating on doors, your staff refused to review security footage and instead threatened us with fees. Staff refused to help when after midnight, there were a dozen people in the hallway, trying to get into rooms they didn’t reserve. One, actually vomited in the hallway. The stress of this stay was compounded by a medical emergency. On the morning of my last day, I suffered a stroke. After my children were picked up, I utilized self-checkout to go immediately to the hospital. I had intended to book two rooms at your location on alternating weekends for the next two years, plus holiday breaks.

I went to celebrate my daughter's 10th birthday and the gentleman put us RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE POOL!!! best stay ever. I frequent this hotel because I love the location and the well maintained indoor pool. Everything was beyond excellent ? thank you!!!

We stay at this hotel often and generally enjoy it. This time the suite was nice overall, but there were a couple noticeable spots where the wallpaper was lifting, and on the last day there was a leak dripping in the bathroom. Aside from that, the pool area was very clean and the other guests were courteous. Overall we would still recommend staying here.

The smells in the rooms, they varied from smokey to musty. The AC system is loud. Front desk staff is mediocre. They provide basic services but extra questions or requests seemed burdensome.

The facility was a little bit run down. We got a suite with a sleeper sofa and it said it slept 4 people, but the sofa was a twin so one of our kids slept on the floor. It was fine. But don’t plan on going back.

We were directed to where the rooms are before we even checked in. No information was provided upon check-in except for room number, key cards, and breakfast vouchers. The desk worker ("Will") was dismissive and did not do anything that made us feel welcome.

The rooms were old and poorly maintained. The wallpaper was peeling, the lighting was terrible, and the overall condition made the stay very uncomfortable. For a hotel that carries the Crowne Plaza name, this was nowhere near acceptable. I will never return and definitely won’t recommend this place to anyone. Crowne Plaza needs serious improvements in both their staff training and room upkeep.

Everything from the front desk personnel to the cleanliness of our room was excellent.

Staff was particularly helpful on this trip as I accidentally booked 2 rooms….was expecting a nights charge (or worse) for the second room but they simply cancelled it with no penalty. Very clean and comfortable rooms…close to everything we need while we’re there.

Room is outdated but it was great for our purposes. We would only be there to sleep and shower. It was clean and comfortable.

We love this hotel, especially for the outstanding restaurant on the premises. The breakfast voucher is a great value! My kids also love the pool - the room itself is so bright and it feels like a retreat. My only critique is that the pool really needs a good cleaning. The water is clean but the sides of the pool really need a deep cleaning.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean, but worn down. Everything worked in the room though. The fitness center had a broken bike and elliptical, but the treadmill worked. You get what you pay for, and it was inexpensive.

Breakfast was ok. It was a continental breakfast. Bacon and sausages were great. Oatmeal was runny but good. For $20 each person it wasn't worth it! The kitchen help was awesome! The location of restaurant was very nice! French toast was hard. Coffee was luke warm. The cost was way too high for this particular breakfast. I just wish they had a made to order breakfast like I thought it was supposed to be. The bar/restaurant isn't open all the time and when they are they close way before 9 pm.

Horrible hotel! Dirty and outdated! Room stink was unbearable! Fridge had old food in it and didn’t work so when I opened it everything got worse! No breakfast included. For breakfast there is a limited choice in the menu and the waitress asks you to chose from it (like bagel sandwiches or fried eggs). At least when she brings it, there is a lot of it ... Where should I start. Everything about this hotel screams old and poorly maintained. The staircase smells horrible. The hallway rugs felt slimy, like it would be impossible to clean them even if you really wanted. The furniture in the rooms is old and degraded. The bathrooms is again old and poorly maintained - I got a foot fungus (athlete foot) from the shower. The breakfast is very limited - there is no buffet.

One of the reasons I chose this hotel was for the fitness center. I workout everyday even when traveling. One of the treadmills kept stopping and the bike was so loud and squeaky it was ear piercing. Also the remote in our room didn’t work.

Would definitely stay at this property again, the room needed a little bit of updating as the wall paper seemed to be coming off but other than that it was clean, spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful, except for the first night I was there I over heard the front desk guy telling someone in another room that he was going to call the cops on them and there was a good amount of yelling during that interaction as well, but other than that it was a nice stay

The pool was beautiful and I think the water temperature was good. We got a room for 4 people with a king bed and a pull out couch. The couch was a twin size bed and would only sleep one person!!! We despise a reservation for 4 people, we only had space for 3 people.

The location was convenient for visiting family in the area. It was quiet considering it was located at the intersection of a semi-busy intersection.

I liked the fact that the hotel was clean, the pool was nice, and parking wasn't too bad. There were 2 customers ahead of me when I checked in. The first person/couple were asked if they preferred a certain floor, and then the second guy received directions to the best elevator to use to get to his room. I proceeded to check in, and I was asked if I would be requiring housekeeping. There was an elevator directly across from my room, this would have been nice to know. The ice machine next to my room was out of order the entire time. The furniture was outdated and stained. The bathroom was extremely small, nothing like the one advertised when I booked the room.

This place is exactly what I would expect as a frequent business traveler, clean, easy, friendly folks. The only thing that’s missing is a decent breakfast and better coffee in the lobby all in all I’d say it’s a winner.

Didn't like set up, doors from outside went right to hall of rooms and they didn't always close, leaving access to hotel vulnerable and unsafe. Rooms were dated and noise carried easily in the halls.

This is a very nice hotel at a reasonable price. One of the nicest indoor pools I’ve seen. Rooms are charmingly retro, which I prefer to the cold, austere atmosphere in many hotels these days. The bed was very comfortable and caused me to oversleep. (The clock was not set correctly) I will definitely stay there again.

Breakfast was delicious. Staff was excellent. Very attentive. The oatmeal was very watery. we wanted it but were unable to eat it. Very dark bathroom lighting. No conditioner in our shower. we reported this to the staff and they were responsive to our needs.

We stayed for 3 nights at the hotel. I love the interior design, free and spacious parking, cozy ambience, very clean surroundings, friendly and accommodating staff. No microwave inside the room, but available near the vending machine. We are four in the family, 2 kids and 2 adults. Only 2 free breakfast. There are a lot of food restos nearby that we can try.

Room is very poorly lit. Working at the desk or shaving in the bathroom is virtually impossible the lighting is extremely poor. Not enough lights and those they have are inefficient bulb wattage/brightness. Karen at the front desk was excellent! Restaurant service and food was solid. Room was clean except the shower gel container was empty!

This is a very convenient location for us, easy to get to, and close to an area where I can take an early morning walk. We did much prefer the breakfast that used to be served rather than the current buffet. I must say that the staff is awesome—welcoming, personable, and helpful, even when busy.

When booking this hotel, I read the distance from the airport to the location as well as how close the hotel was to the city. It has that the distance is about 30 minutes when in fact the distance from the airport to the hotel is close to an hour and the distance from the hotel to the city was also an hour both by vehicle. This was a huge inconvenience. Besides that the stay was overall good.

Beds smelled and shower was dirty. Wet towels were left in the shower and the sink had someone’s toothpaste in it. First guy was nice others weren’t.

Booked this hotel specifically because of the onsite restaurant. Arrived after traveling over 12 hours expecting to be able to relax with a meal & a drink and the restaurant is not open. Area is not what I expected either. The hotel itself is nice and the staff member I interacted with is super courteous and helpful.

We are a family with young kids, and having the pool amenity was the biggest deciding factor of booking this hotel. The pool was a good temp and so fun for our kids! The room was very comfortable and fit our needs perfectly! We will be back and absolutely will recommend this hotel!

Very clean, nice staff, perfect location. Lots of space in the room and we loved the little couch. Pool was nice and warm and very well maintained, one of the nicest we have stayed at. Just wish there was a little more space in the bathroom for items on our counter and much better lightening as it’s a weird orange glow. Tv could use an upgrade to allow streaming. Even were allowed a late checkout which was perfect for why we were there. Overall fantastic stay!

We stayed several days due to a family visit. The room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of essential supplies. The breakfast provided was very tasty and substantial. We would definitely stay here again if our life brings us back to the area.

I was in Glen Ellyn to attend to some family matters and once again opted to stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The rates are very reasonable. The staff is genuinely friendly and courteous, helpful, first-rate professionals. The restaurant adjoining the hotel is excellent -- pay for the breakfast option. All in all, very highly recommended.

The bed was comfortable and staff were nice… but this property is old very old.. i was shocked by the non digital thermostat. i didn't even bother to shower it was so small and felt like i could touch the ceiling.. I also felt like the key card system is weird and malfunctions.. i wont stay here again unless they do a remodel lbvs

This property is very outdated. I did not get the feeling like it was very clean, either. The pool had dirt all around the perimeter where the water didn’t reach, the chairs in the pool area and the in our room were likely purchased in the 1990s and remain with little upkeep. The wallpaper in our room was peeling and overall the room was very, very dusty. I have allergies and they were on overdrive all during my stay. I don’t expect much, but I was not comfortable at all during my stay.

I can't say enough about the wonderful front desk staff at this hotel. Helpful, friendly, smart folks who know how to make a hotel stay an enjoyable one. The rooms are spacious and clean, including generous desk space that was very useful for this visit. Very reasonable nightly rates. The adjoining Prairie Glen restaurant serves quality food, and it's worth adding the breakfast option for a hearty, made-to-order breakfast. I was in Glen Ellyn on a family-related matter, and this hotel was the best option in terms of location. I was fortunate that it also happened to be a fine place to stay. Thank you for the terrific service.
