    This is a lovely, quiet location, in a residential neighborhood, but close to restaurants and shopping. The property needs some TLC and some updating. It is a patriotic site, with classical architecture and inspiring quotations by our founding fathers. all the staff were very helpful and accommodating. I would certainly stay there again.

    It is a worn out resort that was pretty gorgeous probably at one time. Pool seemed not be chlorinated and hot tub had been broken for months if not years. Rooms were ok but one restaurant with less than decent food. I ordered Uber Eats.

    This property has a traditional and country club vibe. It sits on 20 acres which would be lovely for a wedding or event. It’s obviously an older property but has been kept well. It was pretty empty when we arrived for an overnight stay and the cars are parked behind the building to the right when you drive up. We did not partake in dinner or breakfast.

    The location is gorgeous, a scenic rolling hill in a quiet neighborhood. While the facility is older, the rooms were clean and the bed was beyond comfortable. We enjoyed room service, which was expedient and professionally delivered. Overall, a very pleasant stay with local coffee, restaurants and access to major roads.

    large rooms, super comfy bed and the shower was fantastic extremely large hotel with multiple buildings. it was very confusing with little signage for both buildings, elevator banks, etc. I spent 15 min trying to find my room and then trying to get out to my car again.     The hotel is in need of an overhaul. The common spaces were very dirty. The elevator moved so slowly I thought it just might stop. The mattress, while not uncomfortable, had two distinct indents from lots of use. The room appeared clean, but I didn’t walk barefoot on the floor. We were happy to leave in the morning and found our way to breakfast elsewhere. The staff I encountered were very helpful and nice. See above

    But don’t pay the higher price for breakfast. It’s all the same. They really need to update. The place carpets are very stained and dirty. Coming into the place to register needs a major paint job it’s like they’re just letting it go. They said there’s a pool there but they have no instructions or tell you nothing about where the pool is or nothing. They said you can order room service, but there’s no menus in your room to let you know what they have and how much it cost.

    Room had multiple issues: sink wouldn’t drain (almost overflowed just washing my face), and the closet smelled like urine. Elevators were extremely slow, and WiFi was unusable—I had to rely on my phone hotspot. Overall, the hotel needs serious improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and basic guest experience. It’s sad because you can tell at one time, the property was probably gorgeous!

    The price jumped from one day to the next. The sink was clogged. For the second time in 2 weeks, my favorite entree was unavailable. The shrimp & grits is one of the reasons we always try to stop there. I dont know if we’ll stay there next time.

    1. Poor experience with staff checking 2. Not recognized as a Hilton Rewards member 3. Room was filthy, with hair all over the floor of the bathroom and in the sink. 4. No replacement of toilet paper, coffee pods not replaced, shampoo dispenser was empty, rug not vacuumed, and given 3 towels for four people. 5. Fire alarm went off at 1 in the morning with no one telling us we could re-enter,no apology, and text as to what happened (was there a fire?) 6. Restaurant was empty at 6 pm and floor was sticky 7. We were overcharged on the food, so check your bill (could be a scam for all travelers) 8. Property is failing apart. Doors leading to the outside missing knobs, gutters hanging door, and light bulbs out. 9. Best part of my families stay was leaving this once nice property.

    The property was very cool! We stayed in the middle of clean up still occurring from the recent winter storm so the parking lot was a bit tricky with the ice. The staff was very nice when an issue came up with our room. They were prompt in moving us. The room was a bit dated with the cabinet that hides the fridge being broken and unable to close all the way. Also pretty positive there was the beginnings of mold on the ceiling in the bathroom.

    I liked that I was able to pick my room prior to arriving at the hotel. We have been staying at the Tapestry for years - it’s our stop over to and from NY/SC. We’ve seen a decline in the upkeep of the hotel; issues like peeling paint, stained carpets, mildew smell. One of the rooms we stayed in did not have a headboard and the outlet on the night stand didn’t work. Both rooms on our recent stay had an oversized refrigerator that caused the cabinet to stay open. We overlooked these issues because the rooms are clean, comfortable beds and perfect location.

    Was very good. Rustic. Rooms were clean. Staff very helpful. For first timers, might be confusing to find t registration building. When you enter, come all the way in the back. You will see three buildings. The middle one is the registration building

    We arrived at night so the check-in was a little confusing because we needed to go to a separate building which was not noted in the reservation. And the hotel does not have Hilton or Tapestry signage. And the entrance is also not well marked and located at the back of the building. I'm sure it would have been easier in daylight!!

    The hotel is okay, it's a bit dated. The tub had definitely some black yuck around the caulking. The staff doors were propped open that didn't really make me feel safe.

    My fiancé and I booked this trip months ago and drove over an hour to celebrate our anniversary and we booked specifically to recreate our first time staying at the hotel and the Tavern was closed which was the main reason we booked and it was closed!! No credit, no apology, no offer of free breakfast, nothing! We spent over $200 for this experience. Then we discovered blood on our sheets and when we tried to call down to the front desk there was no answer. We paid too much money for this experience and will be asking for our money back!!

    The conference facility, restaurants and staff warrant a 5 Star review, but my room at the Monroe Guest deserves only 3 Stars. The room was clean and comfortable, but many of the electrical outlets did not work. The sink in the bathroom backed up and would not drain. The iron was broken and I had to request a new one. The carpets in the hallways were worn and stained. It wasn’t what I’ve come to expect from the Hilton Brand.

    We've recently become "snowbirds" between Maine and SC, and we found this gem in Virginia. We stayed here on the way way to Maine and again on the trip back to SC. It's a beautiful property. Clean, safe and pet friendly at a great price. The grounds are beautiful and serene. The rooms are large and comfortable. The staff are gracious and welcoming.     Electrical needs lots of work. Many outlets loose and not working. Plumbing needs work. Rooms need updating. Pool needs to be resurfacing. Hot tub needs to be drained and cleaned. It was green. Walls in the tunnel to the pool were crumbling, and moldy. The gutter system on the outside of the building was falling off. The grounds were beautiful. We were charged way to much for the condition of the hotel!

    I booked 2 rooms. One I requested an accessible room with grab bars. I didn’t realize I needed to be specific, ie grab bars in bathtub or walk in shower and bars by toilet and elevated toilet. My note was acknowledged. It it was not clear to me until check in and seeing the room and then calling it was for hearing. I do not understand why whoever replied did not ask. My other room was near a machine of some sort that made noise all night. I would not recommend anything in Monroe near the low 100’s. I’ve stayed here before and had no issue. The room itself was comfortable otherwise but the accessibility challenging room was a challenge for an aging relative.

    The layout was confusing. The only parking to our building was out back and you entered through a service door and then took an elevator that you prayed was going to make it to your floor. The pool area needs to be renovated, pool tiles are missing throughout the pool, the spa was not working. I have no idea how AAA gives this hotel a prestige 3 diamond rating, I would give it .5 diamond. The buildings lack maintenance. The overall experience was lacking. The rooms are adequate in comparison to other hotels and there was nothing really great about our stay. The main building is really cool, and some of the grounds are really well kept, but it is not likely a place we would stay again.

    Our stay was ok. The property was having electrical issues and had a huge generator out back. The hallways and elevator were warm, stuffy, and had a faint musty odor. The room was clean but a stuffy degrees when we arrived. The room did cool down after a few hours but we were hot as it was 95 degrees outside and coming from Kings Dominion.

    The setting of the hotel is bucolic. The grounds are well kept. The hotel interior rooms and public sreas have not been well maintained. Hallway carpets are stained and filthy. The grout in the bathroom shower are is stained and has not been cleaned in months. The ground floor elevator was out of order for an extended period. Overall the interior of the hotel requires major updates and a through cleaning.

    The room itself was neat, clean and comfortable. The property is showing signs of wear. The railings leading to the dining and reception were very rusted out, the elevator carpeting is stained and dirty and needed vacuuming, and the main elevator of the back parking lot has not been working for months so you need to walk all the way around the building to get to a working elevator.

    Victoria Crossing is a beautiful resort-like hotel with so many amenities, on-premise restaurant and bar, and beautiful architecture.     We thought the grounds was beautiful and the outside was elegant. Once you go inside (which was in the back), the lock had tape placed over it to keep it unlocked even though it said to use a fob. We have 2 young children. One found a hair tie with someone's hair on it under the bed, the other found tissue behind the chair. The chair was stained (white stains), the curtains were ripped and had coffee drip stains down them. The shower curtains were also ripped and stained. The furnited was a mismatch of typical hilton furniture and really old 70-80s... it was weird. Upon checking in we were told the AC unit was going to be worked on... which is ok I know things happen, the overall cleanliness or lack thereof and not wanting our kids crawling on the floor or touching anything made ua check out the next morning. Its a shame I had such high hopes, ESPECIALLY with it being a hilton property.

    Our air conditioner did not work. Maintenance came three times to try to fix it, didn't work. They moved our room. In that room, the A/C worked for the first night and that one broke for the second night. Many people at our event also had non-functioning A/C units. Our original room had the safe non-functioning and could not be fixed. Staff was nice, but they could not fix the A/C units. Room was nice and clean, but no A/C and it gets to 80 degrees in the room is a deal-breaker.

    Lovely location but starting to show signs of maintenance neglect. Things like stains on the hallway carpet, outside trim needing paint, a broken window in an entry foyer, weeds in the flowerbeds, elevator in operable. I had several reasons to visit the front desk and never left feeling valued. Efficient, but no warmth from the personnel.

    Overall, it was a nice stay. The common areas are very nice. The breakfast, was great. The chicken wings at the Tavern were excellent. On another note, the room was dated. The air conditioning was not working at full capacity and the toilet ran all night. Hopefully, the rooms will be updated. I’m sure, it was once a beautiful place!

    I’ve stayed at this hotel for the last 5 years, a few times a year. It’s gone downhill. The staff are all friendly, but the property just isn’t being maintained. Stained hallway and room carpets, rattling AC unit in my room, an elevator out of service so long they’ve put framed detour signs on the wall. The golf course next door is defunct and over growing with weeds. The window blinds were broken. The sheets were very clean but had small holes. The bed was comfortable enough, but that’s about all I can say positive. With many newer hotels nearby I’ll stay elsewhere on my next visit.

    This hotel served its purpose for a one night stay. A little off the beaten path from hwys, but worth it for the quiet. Restaurant onsite was ok but convenient. Breakfast buffet was not included in cost of stay and started after we already left.

    Unique hotel with a colonial setting. Nice rooms and beautiful scenery. The hotel is showing a bit of age, mostly in the halls and exterior, but the rooms are very nice.

    This is a lovely hotel in all respects -- the grounds are elegant and perfect for a walk (with our dog, or without). The bar/restaurant is perfect for a casual, enjoyable meal, including outdoor seating. Rooms are large and very well-appointed, in excellent condition. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. We'd look for an opportunity to stay there again!

    Pictures tell a different story. More aged than online pictures show but clean and comfortable enough. Shower was great! If someone were to walk through and fix things, it would make a huge difference.

    Probably a lovely hotel at one time but needs some updating and cleaning. I love that the hotel allows pets to stay but our room smelled like cat urine. Soft bed. Needed a warm blanket.

    This is a place with old fashioned charm. It’s quiet even though it’s by I95. The room is cosy. The setting is just beautiful. We also liked the breakfast. Our only issue was that it’s not easy to find the place at night, and after we got in the property (it’s huge), we struggled to find the place to check in. Better illumination would be helpful.

    The restaurant staff were great - friendly, attentive and efficient. They made our family feel welcome. The cleanliness of the rooms was great, but the facility maintenance needs work: bathroom sink was completely clogged; back door to the building doesn't have a handle or secure access, the fertilizing of flower beds stunk up the hall during our whole stay. The hotel was expensive for what it offered - breakfast was not included despite the high rate.

    This place is not what it appears to be. The multiple buildings have no visible signage and the only sign for the registration building is only visible from one side, so I had to walk through ball rooms, the kitchen, the prep area, etc. , just to find someone to ask. They gave me terrible directions so I ended up making the same trek (I am a senior citizen so this was quite inconvenient). When I was directed to a different building, I finally found the registration area it was about 80 degrees. Then had to retrace my steps to move to another building. The temp in the room was set to 75 degrees. The "bar" and restaurant are in a different building so it was more walking. The food prices are ridiculous ($16 for grilled cheese and $52 for 2 normal breakasts) There is nothing to do nearby. It might make a nice venue for a wedding but for a 2 night stay, you spend more time trying to find out where you're going. Also, the elevator is out order so after walking all the way from parking, you have to walk down a long way just to climb the stairs only to find your room is as far away as it can be. I am a Hilton member and this property is definitely not up to the standards expected. Highly disappointed and will not return.

    Property was a little on the older side but well maintained. Nice to have restaurants available on property because restaurants outside of resort were not accessible by walking. Staff was all very friendly. towels could use an upgrade. Overall enjoyed our 1 night.

    Pretty hotel. Nice rooms. Great service. Will come back. Guests should note that you sleep in one building and walk to another building to eat. They let me drive my elderly father so he didn’t have to walk.

    The front desk employees are really friendly. And they told me they gave me an upgrade on check-in. I’m always grateful for those. The room did look like what I had booked, but maybe slightly larger. Overall, it was a good stay. I just had to find a way to pad the center of the bed (from side to side) to support the hips while sleeping, so that I was discomfort-free throughout the night. The beds aren’t hard. I don’t think that it has a thick topper on it. Rm 555. Overall, I was tucked away in a quiet place to rest during the long trip.

    Gorgeous scenery and grounds. The staff here are amazing. The rooms? Great. But one thing is going to keep bringing down my rating: the broken elevators. Yes - there IS one working elevator, but for a busy weekend (at a conference center?) makes life inconvenient. Last year at the big conference, long lines for getting luggage up - or huffing and puffing at the stairs. This year? STILL not fixed. Come on - it can't be that hard. With another big conference coming up, and several for other groups, they need to know - and the hotel needs to do better. This isn't the Hilton way.
