There was a fantastic breakfast feast every morning, and a baby grand piano I played in the salon. The rooms were spacious and quaint

Breakfast was great! Very tasty, many selections and plentiful! The grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, so we didn't really get to appreciate them that much... Train whistles (11pm, 4am, etc.) caught us a little off guard.

Great place. Staff was very helpful and nice. Accommodations were excellent and the homemade breakfast was great as well. Will plan to be back.

There is a train nearby and you can hear the train pretty often. We didn't mind, but I think it's worth mentioning since it was pretty loud and pretty often.

I also loved the little touches that made the meal feel special: a fresh bowl of cheese and grapes, a bright and refreshing fruit parfait, and a great cup of coffee to bring it all together. It was the kind of breakfast that makes you slow down and savor the moment. The Virginia Cliffe Inn truly knows how to make guests feel welcome, and this breakfast was the perfect start to the day. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Best breakfast I have had at a Bed and Breakfast. Both mornings of our stay had fantastic well prepared options. Staff service was great.

Janice is an excellent host. She was there to greet us, help us get acclimated, and she cooked breakfast! She is sweet and kind. Everything was great.

Such a charming B&B. The grounds and house are beautiful. The innkeepers have a definite gift of hospitality. The entire house is well kept, clean, and had everything we needed. It was nice to have access to a refrigerator to keep our items cold. Breakfast was delicious.

We arrived late; however, our room and check in was very efficient. The room was wonderful. The house and its history was fascinating. The owner met us in the morning, The cook was very helpful and breakfast was amazing!. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Breakfast does not disappoint! It was very good and there was alot of food! The weekend cook was accommodating and set up our table and food as if we were royalty. The fenced pond had two swans named Romeo and Juliette. They will follow you around the pond and are nice to look at however they are territorial and will try to peck your shoes or hands So don't allow yourself to get close. House is beautiful and historical. The staff are amazing and very accommodating. Listing does state that possible events could be taking place on the weekends during the stay, however we did not expect to pull up to a full parking lot and likely 100 other people throughout the property for a wedding and reception. Felt very out of place. Everyone dressed up and we show up carring pillows, blankets and luggage pass them to our room. Somewhat embarrassing. Our room was right next to the commotion. Both windows looked down upon the partying. Blasting music stopped around 10 pm. A better heads up would have nice. Not only that but the listing does not mention the noise from the trains that passed throughout the night and day. I counted like 5 times. May not be the place for you if you are looking for a quiet stay. The king size bed was a little too hard for our touch but you might not think so.

We loved our stay at the Virginia Cliffe Inn; a truly unique and beautiful property. There was a wedding being held in the backyard, and we were worried at first about the noise, but we needn't worry. Promptly at 10:00 pm all the noise ceased, and we heard not a peep all night. Very peaceful. Glen Allen Suite is large with a comfortable bed, and is beautifully furnished. Judy fixed an amazing breakfast; she's quite the chef. We look forward to coming back next time we are in the Richmond area.

Beautiful place to stay. Super clean, great hospitality. Amazing breakfast served. Comfortable bed in the Glen Allen Suite. Not the inn's fault, but there is a train that runs nearby every 30 min up til 2a and begins again at 6a. Other than the train horn, it is super quiet, no road noise.

Every part of our stay was exceptional! The house and the property are beautiful, the room we stayed in was spacious, clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, bountiful and full of fun lively conversation! Could not recommend this bed and breakfast more and we will be staying there anytime we're in RVA!

A very lovely place to stay. they were very welcoming and accomodating. We had to leave before time for breakfast to be served, so they prepared a bag of food-muffins, fruit and granola bars-to take with us. The garden is beautiful and a lovely place to relax.

We loved this place,so clean...staff was fabulous, Judey was so sweet,and informative about anything we may need,and handed us a key to our room,showed us all yhe accommodations she had prepared for us....and it was just a lovely place that we would recommend to all our friends and family!!!!

If my husband and I had any Stress, it completely vanished when we drove up to the B&B . The Hostess (Judey) was very pleasant to talk with and made Unbelievable Breakfasts . Owner Janice came by in the morning at Breakfast to say Hello to her Guests and ask how everyone is doing :) . My husband and I have traveled to many places, and the Virginia Cliffe Inn is by far the most Relaxing and Serene place yet .It is hard to put into words on how Lovely it is ! One has to go Experience it !

Beautifullly decorated and clean home, wonderfully landscaped, accomadating and gracious host! The best breakfasts I've ever had, and I am not usually a breakfast eater...we look forward to going back.

Our stay here was so lovely and would 100% recommend this to potential guests. Our check in and check out process was easy, our host Judey was friendly and helpful, and the property was beautiful. I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before and this had exceeded our expectations. The rooms were well kept and had a nostalgic old south charm. Our breakfast was delicious and timely. My one note would be that if you are sensitive to noise, there is a train that goes by occasionally and some events on site. We did not have issues as noise doesn’t bother us. Thank you again to Judey and everyone at Virginia Cliffe Inn !

No concerns are significant: Blinds were not sufficient to keep front spotlights from illuminating room at night; Nearby trains whistle quite frequently during the evening hours and mid morning. Did not hear any whistles after 8 or 9 pm so definitely not an issue during sleep hours

The Virginia Cliffe Inn was absolutely stunning! It was so peaceful and the grounds are kept beautifully! I can’t wait to come back there for our anniversary! Everyone was so great! This is the place to stay!!

Well kept, historic home with modern conveniences in a bucolic setting. The Innkeeper was welcoming, pleasant, and created a comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious!! The bed was very comfortable, and the room was outfitted with everything we could possibly need. A far better deal than many of the hotels in the area. We'll definitely be back, and highly recommend it for travelers or those looking to get away for a while.

The breakfast was wonderful. The email we got said loud music would be off by 10:30, but it didn’t stop till 11. I couldn’t sleep till it was off.

We stayed at the Inn during the weekend of our granddaughter's wedding at their venue. It was certainly convenient for that purpose. However, the home needs some upkeep, the bedrooms are very small and there are no pictures of the bathrooms because they are tiny, dated, and dingy. There is no housekeeping not even clean towels. The breakfast is ok. It is only served at 8:30 which is not always convenient for a busy weekend or if you want to sleep in. Flexibility is in short supply all around. You pay a lot of the convenience of being at the venue.

The house was beautiful, as were the grounds, the food was delicious. The property was quiet and really enjoyed my time with my family. Will def come visit again.

The food was amazing, the place was beautiful and the staff were like family. That I didn’t get to stay longer. My friend stayed in the other little room, and it would’ve been nice to have a little table beside the daybed, and it would’ve been nice to have curtains that she could’ve poured over the door at night when she slept.
