I loved the modern look in the room. It was very clean. The staff were friendly and they made sure I was good. My room didn’t have an ironing board and also the fact that the microwave isn’t in the room. I personally feel alll hotels need the microwave in the room. It’s an inconvenience to have to leave to warm up anything.

Quiet and clean property. There was an event during our stay and we didn’t even notice.

There was no regular door to the bathroom, it was a frosted glass sliding door. When closed, you could see through the crack, could not lock the door and when going in the middle of the night, once you flipped on the bathroom light, it lit up the whole hotel room due to the frosted glass, which woke up my family members.

Breakfast was great and morning wait staff was also very good. Everything seemed pretty clean. Front desk was very accomidating and helpful. Cleaning staff was good. In room 212-The workmanship on the bathroom was not very good. The caulking was very messy and the whole sink area looked like it could fall off the wall. The water would not drain in the sink because it was not installed in the correct angle to do that. In the evening I went down to the dining room and sat down and waited over 10 minutes with workers that could see me from the bar. No one came over to take care of me. I had to go to the front desk and ask if the dining room was open because no one was waiting on me. One of the workers from behind the bar then came over and waited on me but the whole experience was not good. The beds where very uncomfortable. I tried both beds in my room and neither was very good.

I would definitely stay again . I loved it.

Three improvement opportunities: 1) refrigerator turns off after 2 hours ama must be turned on by pressing a button inside the fridge. This doesn't work for anyone with refrigerated medicine and perishable foods which require refrigeration. I had to get up every 2 hours throughout the night to get the medication refrigerated. 2) we were on hold for a long, long time to ask for a refrigerator that stays on. 3) the shower floor was insanely slippery.

Everything thing was great! That was my second time staying at the Short Pump Marriott! I was there for the Saint Paul’s Collage National Alumni Conference and the staff was very helpful.

Staff was super friendly. Lobby is beautiful and the M lounge is very nice. But the room was not very good. 2nd floor room with a view of roof and HVAC. Next to my room was an odd section blocked off by an accordion door. Just weird. The shower handle was broken and difficult to get hot water. The air conditioning in the room does not work well.

Pool closed...toilet stayed backed up entire visit...no working ice machine...breakfast was very expensive...maids took bag of food left on counter during our packing process...had not checked out...maids came in and took food and children's water bottles...got the bottles back...back should not have been in room until we checked out.

Location was great with a lot of shops and restaurants near by. Just under a 20 minute drive from downtown Richmond so I was able to enjoy a quality hotel for a more reasonable rate and parking included. The room was clean, minimal wear and tear, and a friendly staff. They were more than happy to provide extra bottles of water. Would definitely recommend for travelers of all types.

I was put in a wheelchair accessible room and told that was all that was available. It really was not a pleasant experience at all for me and my partner.

The property was impressively well maintained from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean, inviting, and nicely decorated. While the beds sat a bit lower than expected, they were surprisingly comfortable. The heated pool was a highlight and perfect for relaxing. We also enjoyed the on-site restaurant and bar…both had a great atmosphere. The modern fireplace added a beautiful, contemporary feel to the space. Nothing that I can think of.

Location Took forever to check in for a prepaid stay.housekeeping came into room when we had do not disturb on door, same staff came knocking on my door at 10am asking if I was checking out when my checkout time was 11. Got checked upon checkout for a fee that a day later the staff still can’t tell me what it was for when the booking said all taxes and fees included. This was only a 2 day stay I could only imagine if how much would have went wrong if I were there longer

Location, proximity to Richmond and Short Pump town center. Gym is updated. Rooms were partly updated and partly in need of strict maintenance. Bathroom countertop had turned color in places, wooden closet was breaking and chipping off in places, bathroom had some other dust as well.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Please upgrade the floor in your pool area...it needs to be pressure washed/replaced. Your lobby is beautiful and inviting! I would stay at this property again:)

This being an extremely hot summer, I was disappointed that the "courtesy bottles" of water were virtually nonexistent. The bed, although a king sized unit as requested, was more akin to an army cot...very firm mattress and extremely low. I think it literally consisted of a mattress on a bed-frame. Receptacles/plugs were unusable...need to be replaced or some type of insert added. Items plugged into the wall constantly ''dropped out'' of the wall plug! Bathroom facility (shower) did not have an exhaust fan. Steamy windows, humid inside the shower, and (worst of all) God forbid you needed to do a #2. Never experienced "that" before. All-in-all, the Hyatt (or any for that matter) would have been a better choice. Definitely will never use "this" Marriott again. Very Disappointing!!!!

The staff were very kind. That’s bout the only good thing. The price for one small room was over $200 and it was dingy, dark, and not very clean. There were crumbs and dirt from whoever was in the room before us. My room was a very far walk from the elevator and the first time I went to the room, the key card didn’t work. I first called to see if I had to come down to fix it and there was no answer. They only had one person working the desk, and she was apparently dealing with other people having the same problem because when I did go back down, there were two other people down there with the same problem. After we got settled and started watching tv to go to sleep, the power went out. It took about five minutes to get it back in and then the tv wouldn’t work at all after that, so we just went to sleep very disappointed with the entire experience. I thought I was paying a higher price for a clean, safe, and comfortable experience and I got none of that. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The staff was friendly the hotel was clean. Our room was a little dusty, the bathroom sink had a crack in it, the toilet tank cover did not fit properly , and the bed was so hard my back ached the next day. It was convient to shopping and restaurants. Im glad I only stayed for one night.

The woman that helped us check in was wonderful the man who answered the phone and gave me the wrong rate by $150 more was not great. The sheets had a stain on them. Room was average.

I loved my stay and was very easy checking in and out. However I was never able to get a hold of room service to order breakfast in the morning.

Overall the stay was ok,except when inspecting the bed there was a spot on the sheet,didn't like that and a staff member barged in with no knock or anything when my wife and i were in bed we yelled and they quickly ran out

Every staff member we came in contact with was super nice in a very genuine way. The bar staff, Jeanne, is the perfect balance between kind and funny. We enjoyed two nights at the bar while she was working. We were very impressed that she remembered us a couple nights after the first time we met her.

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, this property is amazing! It’s clean, well lit and peaceful all while the busyness of the city around the corner. The staff were welcoming and friendly always going the extra mile to make sure our stay was one to remember. The room was clean and nicely updated. You will not be disappointed with this property!

Booked the room only to find out the hotel restaurant was closed and the hotel was under construction. Nothing like paying $450 to stay in a disaster area.

It was ok. We were told our room was ready prior to arrival. I called and confirmed then when we arrived we were told our room was not ready. We had to wait 3.5hrs for the room. When we got to our room there was : towels and face cloths. We had 2 adults and children. We called for more towels which never arrived.

Well upon checkout my wifes medicine was left in room housekeeping must have stolen it when asked front desk to look into it took me to loading docks where he showed me trash compacter did not look a security footage or anything like that

We were on a family road trip returning home, and stopped here to rest. Upon first encounter, most of the staff barely spoke english. We asked that a crib be ready for us, and they had no idea what we were talking about when we checked in. When we finally had a crib brought to us, the staff tried to put bedding into the crib, and when we told them a 9 month old doesn't use bedding the housekeeper seemed put off we told her no thank you. The shower flooded our bathoom because there's no way to keep water in. I was also excited for my morning coffee, but was disappointed to find the creamer they provided had expired. Normally we'd change rooms, but we arrived so late and the kids were exhausted. Everyone just wanted to sleep, but I think a prison bed was more comfortable than these mattresses.

First check in walked to my room after a long drive and received the wrong type of room. Second, walked quiet a ways to the room, the key card wouldn't work, third very stuffy and hot, seems the air wasn't working. Thankfully I was only there 2 nights or I would have had to check out because of the air.

The towel was never change, we leave hotel at 9 am and come back in the night, the bed was made but the towel was wet and never change. Also bed sheet was never change. Otherwise it was good.

Quick weekend trip…probably won’t ever stay at this property again. Walked into the room to find it smelled old and damp. The bathroom was not clean, there were stains in the toilet from the previous guest. Someone came to clean the bathroom really quickly, and she apologized for it not being cleaned properly. Overall, my stay was not horrible, but if you want clean bathrooms and a room that doesn’t smell wet and like mildew, you probably shouldn’t stay here.

This was a solid option if you want stay in the short pump area and be close to everything. The room and the service was okay. It times for the hotel to look at new carpet for the rooms as they had a bit of a smell.

Rooms were not very clean when compared to others nearby. On checkout date we noticed several old bloodstains on the comforter and pillowcase but was too late to ask for clean bedding. If rooms were clean hotel would be average.

My stay was pretty good overall. The reception was very kind and helpful with giving me a later check out time. My room was also very comfy and classy. My bathroom and shower 🚿 was nice too. My only reservation is better plumbing with flushing commode or toilet.

I found the hotel clean and attractive. Good shower too. I did not like the beds, it was noisy and i feel its overpriced.

Overall, I think this is a great hotel! The staff were extremely friendly and professional. The only suggestion would be the pools cleaning system. We noticed slimy like substances floating in the water. But my family would go back! Clean and spacious rooms.

The overall condition of the property and furniture was verry good. However our room had bugs crawling throughout the room. We complained and supposedly an expert was going to come and spray. This never occurred.as we continued to see the bugs for the 4 days we were there. For this reason we rated the facility poor. No one want pest crawling in their room.

The hotel facility is very nice and comfortable. The weekend we stayed there, however, the hotel restaurant was very understaffed and wait times were long.

Website advertises free breakfast but it is not for everyone, only their elite customers.

Very nice property! Pleasantly surprised.

I loved everything about my stay, the only issue I had is that Expedia says they have a Jacuzzi and they don’t.

Excellent hotel!

This is my second stay here and I always enjoy it. It’s always clean and has a pleasant smell in the lobby area. Front desk staff is pleasant and helpful. I will always recommend this location!

Great experience, guy on night shift with the blazer full of pen's is great and very flexible!

Convenient location with easy parking and great rooms.

Room was fine. We called for room service and it took an hour to get someone on the phone. When we finally ordered it took 1.5 hours to get the food. Food came up cold. Staff was friendly but they needed help. There was not enough people working to take care of the guests.

The staff was very professional, polite. The hosiptality excellent and clean and we felt safe. Thank y'all so much.😃

I love Marriot but the bed was not comfy. We felt the springs in the mattredd

It was the perfect place to land at the end of the work day. Convenient to dining and great shopping, too.

The hotel was clean and very peaceful. My stay was very relaxing. The only thing I felt that needed improvement was the breakfast options. There were no alternatives offered for people who don't eat pork products. I just settled for the bottled water and juice. If i had known that this would have been the case, i wouldnt have purchased the breakfast option.

Easy check in with friendly staff! Room was comfortable and clean. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in general, room was clean and comfortable. Desk staff were very wonderful and friendly. Not so sure I would get lounge service again, the breakfast was just ok, evening appetizers were not wonderful, apparently these are not offered over the weekends, we could see why when guest would come in with bags and take all the snacks and drinks. Very close to attractions we were going to, and our floor at least was very quiet.

The stay was good. The only issue i had was that on Saturday i went to the fron desk to request more towels. Noone ever came to bring towels so i had to find housekeeping on my own to get towels.

1st of all I was celebrating my anniversary with my wife but soon find out that the room was not worth the money my wife went to take a shower and the shower head was broken and the tub was dirty and we had to clean it out.The shower didn’t drain I told the front desk and they told me the would send someone up the next day so when we went out for the day I stop by desk and ask to take care of needles to say it wasn’t fixed just a all around horrible experience

Hotel lobby was great and nice looking. Room was spacious and midern. Ice nachine didnt work on 4th floor and had a prepaid breakfast but couldnt take advantage because of delay of aervice and had a flight to catch.

A beautiful and clean hotel! We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay!

The visit prior me and my family had to wait over an hour before check in. This last visit the shower was clogged so much that I was standing in water which was over my ankle in the shower. After I told the front desk lady who was checking me out she assumed I wanted a receipt and immediately told me she couldn’t supply one. This was only because a family member had just asked her for one prior. She claimed that she couldn’t supply one to my family however we’ve been staying at the same hotel each time we visit which has been for 4 years. This is the first time my family member was told no receipt was available and the front desk lady tried to argue about it.

There was no coffee machine at the lobby and when you ask a question to the lobby team they reply in a rude way

We loved staying here! Everything was very clean and the bed and pillows were so comfy. We got the breakfast and it was very good! They even have a self brew starbucks coffee machine where the breakfast is held. We really wanted to stay another night, we will be back!!!♡♡

The staff was extremely attentive and kind. Huge plus, on top of everything else being great!
