The place was clean and food delicious

The room was very clean and relaxing. My daughter and I enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi. The hotel staff at the front desk was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The lighting in room and the convenient room design. The lady at the front desk was was very nice and pleasant and easy to talk to. The fire alarm at 12 a m!

Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Room was clean and larger than expected. The only downside was guest room doors slam shut very loudly, night and day. When built there wasn't enough soundproofing between floors. We were kept away until 3 in the morning with the sound of walking in the room above.

Updated rooms and hallways. Staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I like that it’s kind of tucked away in a real neighborhood, 100 yards from a Safeway and on a pretty walking path along the river. I’ve never felt unsafe arriving late.

Free breakfast was excellent. Lots of options, and what I tried was very tasty. They supply top notch soaps and lotions in the room. Our shower head and walk-in shower were super nice.

We only had two minor issues. 1. The hot tub was out of order. I think that happened the night we got there. A little disappointing, but not a huge deal. 2. One morning we came down and there was no hot food left. There should have been another 20-30 minutes left of breakfast, but the eggs, potatoes and meat were gone and it was pretty obvious they were not making more. I feel fresh food should be available for the entire breakfast time. Other than that, it was a very nice stay. We’d stay again for sure.

Breakfast was the same every day. Coffee & tea station was a nice perk. Pool was not clean and stairways could use a good vacuum job.

I have a service dog. He is marked as a service dog and wears his (not required by law) registration card on his back for all to see. I have stayed at this hotel several times. EVERY TIME they make me pay a $25 PET fee. Then they tell me how well behaved my dog is! I ALWAYS say, "he SHOULD be, he is a service dog!" Charging me a pet fee is illegal. My disability makes it very hard for me to confront anyone and can lead to a medical issue. I did the first time and was ignored, "it's policy." Although they are located closest to where I am going, I am done staying there. Please train your employees to follow the law. There is ZERO reason to suspect that my dog is not a legitimate service dog.

But, the breakfast was 2 out of 5 stars, just various versions of eggs, pretty much the same thing every day. Only the fresh cinnamon rolls were tasty. The juice options tasted awful (we stuck with water). The view from our king room was onto the freeway bridge overlooking the river. Not great, but at least there was no traffic noise. The pool is small but still very nice. The hot tub worked great. Gas station is a block away. No restaurants nearby. Probably won't stay there again.

The pool and hot tub area need some serious repair. The concrete around the pool is buckling and can be a tripping hazard for anyone that shuffles their feet, which a lot of elderly people do. The jets on the hot tub dial half the time did not work. Otherwise, everything else was great. Spend the extra money and fix that pool area before someone gets hurt.

Situated in an odd part of town with nothing around it. The clientele felt unsafe. But clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.

Not talked about in the property description but there is a Safeway in the same parking lot. Couple that with a fridge and microwave and your dinner options are much more open.

The property was good. I liked how close the grocery store was and how easy it was to park there.

There hallways looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a month. The bathroom had hair all over. We noticed many of the doors looked like someone had tried to pry bar in. This looks like a old hotel that was half way tried to remodel but feels old and dirty. Not your typical holiday inn.

Aside from the freeway noise, there was a VERY loud group of kids (little league or something) early in the morning waking everyone up by yelling and running up and and down the halls. Props to the employee for sitting the adults down in the lobby after the fact to make it clear this was not acceptable, but there were a lot of disgruntled guests that morning. She appeared to be the only employee in the place all night which seems like poor security. The back door near the pool was propped open the entire time we were there which also seems like a safety issue.

Very good value. Basically what you'd expect based on price and online photos, but especially clean/new compared to similar hotels. Next to Safeway for easy grocery shopping. Great breakfast given it was included/free... pancake machine was interesting (haven't seen that before).

Didn't appreciate smokers hanhing outside close to doors. Room did get cleaned for two night stay and had to request fresh towels

River was right in the back of hotel

Staff had rude attitude during check-in. There was no house keeping personnel that came to clean the room on the second day of my stay. When we asked the reason, we got no reasonable responded.

Our room was dirty. There was trash in the sink. Hair on the toilet and in the shower. Hair on the bathroom sink. Dust everywhere, and cobwebs in the window. I woke up with several bites on the back of my arm, unknown from what. The cistomer service at the front counter was great, but the cleanliness of the room was not.

I had to request clean towels, they would only replace every 3 days. I ran out of body wash, when they brought more they left it on the toilet instead of installing it in the bracket in the shower.

The pool was closed, the breakfast terrible and everything was dirty or broken. I would never return.

I would not choose to stay here again. Did not realize how close it was to strip mall/shopping center. Room on lower level next to laundry facility. Loud! Window was open when I go there. I now know it was due to the musty odor.

My daughter,new granddaughter,babys father and myself, going down for baby's first swimming experience. Your receptionist,tells me your not supposed to have anybody down in the pool that isn't a guest..... Really? A family motel that's not allowed to visit with there family and have a monument moment. Also I was bugged by flying insects,on everything in my room,not easy to sleep,so I dealt with it,as if I were to say something,your receptionist would have taken as something else I really can't give a good review,and your welcome for me pointing out ,the little hit and run that happened,in front of my face. The only good part was the view out the window.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Holiday Inn express. The staff were very accommodating and very kind. The breakfast bar was varied and had lots of delicious options. The coffee was good and fresh. I was there for a family emergency so I didn’t get time to swim in the pool, but it looked fabulous. I would definitely come back and stay again. Highly recommended

Crawling everywhere! Got into all our covered packaged food! Went to get the front desk lady patrishia to come look and she said there was no manager there & she didn’t need to see it but she would call a housekeeper to come. I’m like really! Nope I’m out! Packed up and left!!! So angry & now I feel like I have bugs on me & in all our stuff! 🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜

Excellent service, delicious breakfast, immaculate room, beautiful river view right outside my window…. I waited at dear for just a minute or so waiting to buy candy and laundry soap and the manager said sorry for the wait no charge for your items! That’s good old fashioned friendly business which is rare these days.

Was a great place at a last minute overnight stay. Staff was helpful upon checking in and very patient. Had a nice view to look out, the bed was very comfortable and the room was hust right.

It was quite, easy transportation to and from town. The river behind the property was a plus, with the view.

My reservation was not in the properties computer system, this made check in a big challenge.

Exactly what we were looking forward to

This property has been renovated over the past year or so to match other Holiday Inn Express hotels (formerly Oxford Suites). Rooms are modern and clean, though a few things have not been replaced (doors, mini fridges, stairway carpet, elevator flooring, etc.). I received a good rate for this 2-night visit. Overall, i recommend Holiday Inn Express Gladstone, though the entry carpets need attention (stained, need regular vacumming) as well as a few other common areas.

This Holiday Inn was a great location, with a Safeway grocery store next to it, very close drive to convenient areas with stores, restaurants & scenic sites, beautiful view along the Clackamas River; staff was very friendly & helpful, the breakfast was excellent with a good variety of hot & cold food choices, rooms were clean & spacious, beds very comfortable, nice fitness center, indoor pool & hot tub, easy accessible parking….stayed here for four nights for a wedding in Oregon City (less than 10 minute drive away)…..highly recommend this hotel

This river view property has been recently remodeled. Tastefully done in blues and browns with riverstone accents it is rustically beautiful and cozy. The river can be seen at the elevators so no one is deprived of the view. It is tucked in off the main road with a safeway next door for any shopping you need to do. The room was neat and clean, the bed was comfortable. The sink is separate from the shower and toilet which I consider a great perk as someone can still be getting ready while the shower is occupied. I also enjoyed their provided Dove soap and shampoo. Portland is close and closer still is the Clackamas mall, as well as a Costco and Target. Good selection at breakfast complimented with their signature cinnamon rolls. Very reasonably priced for a place that has a riverview, indoor pool, kitchens, breakfast and no parking fees! I will return.

The clackamas river is right out back. You can walk a trail and get to it.

I stay here 3-4 times a year for 2,3,4 days in a row. Always the best service. Always the best breakfast. Incredible housekeeping. When I come to Portland, this is the only place I stay.

It is said that first impressions are everything, and upon walking into the hotel, my impression of the facility was not positive. There were boxes of junk stacked behind the front desk and a cart full of tools. One staff member completely ignored us. The other was dressed very unprofessionally—messy hair, in a flimsy hot pink tank top, with her bra straps showing, sipping her bubble tea. The pool was out-of-service. We book hotels based on if there is a pool to swim in for our kids. They were not willing to offer a discount, which I find ironic. If I showed up with just “some” of the money for a room, I would not get a room. But somehow it’s okay for a hotel to not provide a main amenity, and I’m still expected to pay full-price. It’s very unethical. The bathroom floor and shower were also covered in hair when we checked in and the printer at the business center was not working properly. The place was old, creaky, and needed new carpet in main areas. I’ll never stay here again.

Had a good check-in experience. Good customer service at that time. However, the room had issues. The shower floor was extremely slippery. There was no rubber mat available. Asked for one, but they don't have rubber mats available. My opinion is the shower floor was slippery because it was not cleaned properly. They carry a brand name body wash which is known to cause slippery shower floors. In addition, the shower leaked profusely onto the bathroom floor. And the shower tiling was in dis-repair. The room itself had many cobwebs and the shade was broken. Lastly, one of the rooms near mine had a morning alarm go off and kept going off for several hours for 2 mornings in a row. I called the front desk three times with no resolution. The staff didnt want to bother the other guests. However, I was bothered with no follow up. I have not been on any sort of vacation in over 10 years and this was a blight on my time at this hotel. I had asked to have follow up from the manager upon check out and still have not heard from them.

Bathroom fans don't work so get ready for no ventilation. One of the beds had a opening like it was broken and split you could feel in your mid section throughout the whole night! Not comfortable. When i told them about the fan, they said it works but not well. It didn't seem to work.

All services were good except in our four day stay, we never got our room cleaned.

Rikki at the front desk is top notch! When we arrived to check in, there was a huge line of people waiting and only one "Rikki" working the desk! She handled herself so well, maintained her composure, was very helpful, and super sweet considering the circumstances!

The facility was in remodel status which wasn’t shared until I received an email from the facility. The only rooms available to me in the basement to the pool.
