The pool area was beautiful, made me want to stay much longer! Breakfast was amazing as well. Room was cozy and lighting was nicer than most hotels where it’s usually too bright or too dark. I appreciate there was only a $20 hold for the room however it took weeks before that hold was finally lifted, even though I checked out properly after my stay ended.

We enjoyed breakfast, fresh coffee and pool time. The pool was not maintained well. We had to skim the pool multiple times each day, along with other guests. There was algae on the steps out of the pool, build up of scum on the wall near waters edge. My kids white swim shirts actually started to turn green from the dirty pool.

Rooms and breakfast

The breakfast was great. On our last day they had biscuits and gravy which were good - much better than the one that I had at IHOP. The mattress was lumpy at the bottom, so not sure if it was the mattress pad or the mattress. It was not that bad but I could feel it. The sheets were nice and comfortable.

The place was incredibly clean and lovely! I was there with my daughter and we hung out at the pool for sun fun which was amazing. The staff were absolutely wonderful (especially front desk ladies), and we loved the breakfast and coffee machine! Definitely would stay again next time we’re in Gilbert. Wished we stayed another night!!

the Room was great, adequate space for my clothing. Love the Keurig coffee pot in the room because I like hot water for tea. Microwave and refrigerator came in handy. the gym had enough weights and a weight bench to get in a good workout session while on vacation. I would love to stay here again or at the Spring Hill Suites next door which I am sure is just as nice.

I was in the first floor and whoever was above me sounded loud when they walk.

When in Phoenix/Gilbert area this is where we usually stay. Room was clean, the shower had a slight sewer gas smell but went away after running water down the drain, staff was friendly as usual, and the breakfast staff was attentive to ensure everything was clean or stocked.

Room was very clean. We loved the pool and the hot tub! Perfect after a long day of travel. One of my favorite parts of this hotel was the gym. Nice selection of weights and treadmills. I also loved that a family of six could sleep in a room. Look forward to our next booking!

The breakfast was really good. The staff kept the dining room very clean. The rooms were very clean. Pool was the coolest part of this experience. The beds were a little stiff but overall a great place to stay. And this hotel is very close to everything around.

This was one of our best experiences. We appreciated the staff being so accommodating. We had a crying, cranky 1 year old that needed to get out of the car and relax. The staff was very helpful in getting us quickly into our room.

Check in staff was rude and couldn’t direct us to any close restaurants but when we got in the car and starting we found at least 10 within 1 mile

Inside laundry was great . Normally I don’t need to use a laundry but this time reined and my dins shows got wet and the Lau dry was super convenient

Great bed. Nice pillows. I liked how the bed area was carpeted and the bathroom/ entrance area was hard wood or a tile like floor. I appreciated the AC because Phoenix is super hot! The pool was great with swim towels available at the pool. The free breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. The quality of the food was better than most places I have stayed at. The front desk people were excellent helpful because I had a messed up reservation. Would stay there again for sure!

Clean, quiet, secure, the outside entrance I used had a garbage receptacle that admitted a horrible stench, had to hold my breath, opening the door

Cons: It’s a bit removed from dining or shopping, and the shuttle didn’t start running until 6am to the AZA airport.

The morning breakfast was vast and delicious. The lobby and counter staff were helpful and friendly. The cleaning folks were friendly and kind and welcoming. The room was immaculate The exercise/fitness room was clean and well maintained The pool was well lit and well tended. I've stayed a places that were great, but the vibe of joy and friendliness (mixed with an amazing venue and facilities) was top notch. I would live in room 106 ( which for an exercise buff like me, was perfectly across the hall from the fitness center) if I could.:)

The handicap rooms are way to far from the elevators ‼️ I’m handicap and I have walk a very long distance with my cane from the parking lot to front desk to the room. Not a single wheelchair or scooter to held me get to the room. Also as far as the bed and room every thing else was perfectly great

It was great but the attendant at breakfast was extremely rude to us and others in the room with us. She spoke down to us and others for how many pancakes they were making!

I stayed over a weekend here. It's a really nice place. Super clean. The breakfast was good, and the front desk workers were very nice. I travel a lot, and this is hotel is one of the cleanest I've ever stayed. I definitely recommend. Didn't get to use the pool, but it was a nice spot. Restaurants and supermarkets a short drive from hotel.

I stayed here for four days and it was great. Rooms were very clean, housekeeping did a great job. Breakfast selection was phenomenal. I wish they had had bacon every day, but having it one day was a treat. Pool area is private and shaded. Front desk staff at check in could be friendlier. Will stay here again.

This is an incredibly nice hotel in Gilbert, AZ. Very clean, safe and lots of eating establishments very close to hotel. This is one of the cleanest and nicest hotels we've stayed at. Highly Recommend.

We often visit Gilbert but this was our first time at Holiday Inn Express. Our room was large and clean, as was the bathroom. The breakfast was better than your average free hotel breakfast, and was busy every morning. The location was very good; you could get to wherever you need to be quite quickly. We'll be back.

Great location and clean

Upon checking in the first night on a six day trip, the air conditioning was extremely loud. My husband called to report even though it was very late. He went down to the lobby the next morning and they gave us a different room the rest of the stay. Everything was very good until the last day. We were gone most of the day every day we were there, the last day we came back to the room and no one had been there to make up the bed and replenish towels. It was a bit unexpected since they did this every day but the last.

We would give the Holiday Inn Express a 10 all around for service, room cleanliness and amenities, staff, and excellent breakfast. All the staff was always available to assist with all of our needs. Definitely will stay thete again.

The shower was Luke warm and the pressure was not good. I thought it was the time I was showering but I tried 3 different times and it was the same thing.

We stay here often, however, the hotel did not honor our booking for a standard king room. They gave us a standard queen room and told us they only had to give us a standard room. They told us we should have booked through them instead of Expedia.

We only stayed for 2 nights but we were impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The pool and hot tub were warm enough to enjoy. There is a nice fire pit in the pool area. The breakfast included eggs, pancakes, bacon in addition to an array of.cold foods. We were very happy with our stay here.

One of our party got sick (82 year old with flu) and we had to change our plane reservation from Friday to Monday. We asked hotel to move our reservation from Thursday night to Sunday night. They wouldn't do it. We had to pay for both rooms even though we werent there to use them. Very disappointing.

Would have been 5 stars but the showers was horrible! No water pressure at all and could only get hot water with it all the way on hot!
