I booked and paid for A suite and it is not what they gave me. Please refund me for the room that I received vs. paid for.
- 4/5
Breakfast fresh daily, didn't go to the bar. I asked for a king and got double beds and whomever was over me had kids running through their room at 6 in the morning EVERY morning like they were on a basketball court, and when it was reported NOTHING happened.

The room was perfect and very comfortable. Only negative was the slow-draining shower.

Rooms are spacious and everything needed, our only complaint would be the sun shade didn’t work and we got to watch the AZ sunrise

We had a great stay. The restroom could have been a little bit more cleaner.

Great staff

Great location! The property is very clean, organized, and well kept. It was nicely located near restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, CVS, gas stations, and the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport was 30 minutes away. Nothing to complain about.

Great staff at hotel, no issues.

It was very close to where I was going. There are actually 2 buildings on the property and I got confused the first time. Google map fault.

didn't try no continental breakfast
- 5/5
Everything was great with the room except some electrical outlets did not have power. Facility was great, clean, and staff was super!
- 3/5
The bed was hard as a rock and the air conditioner would go off every 10 mins.....loud The shower was not clean there was a makeup wrapper in the shower.
- 5/5
Excellent service from the staff, especially David at the front desk and Laura at the bar. The only complaint I would have would be the parking. We will be using this hotel in the future.
- 5/5
It was nice to have a bar available on site. Bartender made a nice lemon drop. The snack store was well stocked and over all the property was clean and attractive. The only negative is that the craftsmanship for the construction was lacking. Very odd to see bad drywall, crooked tile cuts, sloppy caulking, and so forth in a big name hotel chain. I mean, that's all these construction companies that contract with major hotel chains do (is the same basic room over and over). Should be perfect. I could have put the room together better.

I was really disappointed with my recent stay. The floors were visibly dirty upon arrival and through our stay, and housekeeping was inconsistent throughout the visit. Overall cleanliness and attention to detail fell far below what I’ve come to expect, especially compared to other DoubleTree locations we’ve stayed at. Room noise from other guest was annoying. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet the usual standards and left a lot to be desired.

Had a great stay.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay. Have stayed here before. The hotel is in a great location and has everything you need. Hotel overall is showing some age, but staff was great and the room was comfortable. Would stay again without question.

The pool was dirty, the shower didn't work, the beds were smaller than queens, and the noise from other guests was ridiculous.

Front desk staff- David, Sandra, and Alyssa- all made the stay first class and were extremely hospitable. Will definitely book here again next time I am in the Valley.

Room very clean, staff wonderful
- 5/5
Excellent staff, breakfast in the restaurant was delicious.
- 3/5
Staff was courteous. For the price, would've appreciated fresh brewed coffee and possibly breakfast.

Floors and surfaces were very dirty. Our door was also broke . It would not close properly with out using force.

- 5/5
The location, cleanliness, rooms were updated, beds were comfortable. Restaurant and bar on site. Great amenities. Staff was great and accommodating House keeping lacked slightly. In the 5 days we were there they cleaned the room once. We had the tag on the door not to clean 2 out of the 5 days. Not a huge deal though.
- 3.5/5
Hotel was under construction. It should be told to you when booking!
- 5/5
The room was great and clean. We would definitely stay again.
- 2.5/5
There was not a shower curtain in the bathroom. There was an ironing board but no iron.
- 1/5
The hotel was under renovation and the paint fumes and construction dust made this stay miserable.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean! Great customer service!
- 5/5
Good place, nice staff
- 4.5/5
Room 333's shower doors are hard to push back and forth. The ice machine on the 3rd floor was out of service. The water bottles available for purchase in the room were $3, too much.
- 5/5
People are friendly, I enjoy that they have a bar in the lobby. If you wanted to walk a little ways, you can get to Top Golf or the Main Event
- 5/5
David at the front desk is the best. Thank you
- 5/5
Hotel was beautiful and Staff was Amazing! Clean in every way possible 👍
- 4/5
All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Amenities were good and took a good size and clean for the most part. Great pool area and close to excellent restaurants and shopping! Hotel just needs some updating.

Nothing Dirty very dirty please
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 3/5
Staff was wonderful. Comfy bed and pillows. But the property is in need of a renovation. And this is a generalization, but the clientele are not respectful or quiet.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Parking is awful.
- 5/5
The staff is super friendly, the warm cookie are so good 😊
- 3/5
No free coffee for a $200+ stay. $3.50 for coffee. Bartender was in training and didn’t know how to make drinks.
- 5/5
Yes, we wish we could stay longer!
- 1/5
Location Everything. Dirty, expensive, horrible breakfast that cost extra, poor furnishings.
- 2/5
Room does not have ability to
- 3/5
Over priced breakfast. Old looking public areas, halls, ice machine, elevators. Rooms updated nicely. Rooms need a light, overhead light on a switch.
- 5/5
I recommend this property based off of the accommodations. Staff was polite respectful no complaints at all.
- 2/5
Bathroom had a sink attached to the wall, no counter top and no place for toiletries, etc. Very poor. No free coffee in the lobby, no free breakfast.
- 5/5
It’s location.
- 4/5
Floor was damaged and needed to be replaced in our room. Just looked crudy. Other than that it was fine.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
Good and very clean.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and I loved the cozy comfortable on the bed. Been traveling a lot this summer and you would only get a sheet a thin blanket and a sheet at other hotels. The only draw back was the lady who was managing the breakfast. She was completely rude to guests. I walked inside the room to see what there was. And she says rudely excuse what are you doing? That’s not the way to treat guests then I heard her tell a customer the price for the breakfast buffet and then she says and plus tip. She was demanding a tip from everyone.
- 5/5
It’s in a great area.
- 5/5
The pool is great!
- 5/5
Stayed here for 8 days and it was a wonderful stay. No complaints!
- 3/5
Lobby and rooms are nice but hallways, carpet, AC units, and elevator feel old and super worn.
- 4/5
Brock’s was very limited and honestly the only reason I did NOT give 5 stars. The Thursday staff bartender and what seemed to be custodian with the ponytail and his best grey sweatpants were busy having conversations bashing the dirty condition of the bar area and the tables and floors were filthy! There were more flies paying me and other guests attention than the staff you pay. The front desk staff of all hours were amazing!! Cleaning ladies were amazing! The young lady that works the morning breakfast shift milaya (I think) was so sweet and great! Now the morning cook on Friday was out of everything wore her black kitchen gloves in and out of the building touching dirty doors and going back to the kitchen to cook..I ordered the French toast and a good size piece of black plastic was cooked to the bottom on one of the pieces. I was shocked that no one else seemed to think this was odd and bad sanitation. The second order was much better. I would say plan on meals elsewhere because you don’t have many options and the hours for food are very limited.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent except the water would not drain from the shower.
- 5/5
Great staff at check in. Beds and linens great.
- 5/5
We had an issue with the toilet in our room, and we witnessed two different people fall off the bar stools because there were broken or the chairs were uneven. Outside of this, everything was great!
- 4/5
Good hotel nice ac and staff very nice.
- 5/5
Everything was great! Would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Bigger pool
- 5/5
Good
- 1/5
The room was dirty and dusty. Everything felt worn down. The furniture surfaces had stains in them and there was a mini fridge in the middle of the floor instead of in the designated cabinet (which was just empty). The pool was also dirty and full of dirt on the bottom.
- 5/5
We were here on a one night triip. The staff was super friendly. Our room waa clean. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast waa good. If only had to complain they need to redecorate the hallways and fix ice machine. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Lovely
- 5/5
Reception was welcoming!
- 4/5
it was nice.
- 5/5
Great!
- 2/5
My room was cleaned in the middle of my stay as if I was checking out- and my very expensive refrigerated medication was thrown away. I was offered comp for two of the nights and have received nothing back. Since I did not get it in writing, I am going to have to file a claim. Lesson to all: make sure you insure your trip! Even if you do not miss the trip itself, stuff like this can happen and it is helpful to be able to recover strange losses like this.
- 3/5
Stayed 2 nights for family function, room had dusty counter, toilet bowel seat was sliding all over the place wasn’t tightened down, I had to tighten it, tub spout plunger wasn’t functioning properly, so shower head had bad water pressure as water was still coming out of faucet. Had 4 people in room but only 2 towels, room was a junior suite with 2 queen beds.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Very nice room and accommodations.
- 5/5
Staff were helpful and very friendly!
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfy. Hotel was under construction, doors slamming throughout the night, pool party until 1100pm, food at restaurant was not good
- 4/5
It was nice and clean
- 3/5
The lady in check in stopped halfway through checking me in to help someone else get checked in… seemed very unprofessional to me.
- 3/5
Room was spacious and lighting elements are definitely cool- when working. Check in was great and the woman with the bandaid was awesome and helpful when arriving.
- 3/5
Expensive for what it is. Poop and hot tube dirty.
- 2/5
No mention of construction when booking. Elevators and halls smelled of vomit.
- 4/5
The stay has been good. Overall we were satisfied with the service it provided
- 1/5
No good
- 5/5
Best part of this hotel is the staff. Friendliest I’ve ever been around.
- 3/5
While the staff was super friendly and eager to please, the place was under renovation, and charged you for absolutely everything. You couldn't even get a cup of coffee in the morning without paying 3 and 1/2 bucks. I recognize they make their money during spring training but, holy cow
- 3/5
The property was under construction and aesthetic changes, which should have been disclosed until complete. While the room was very nice and clean, the other parts of the hotel shows wear and tear.
- 2/5
For $450 NOT WORTH IT!!! Room was Ok…. Everything else was a mess. Under construction, said there was free water in the room there wasn’t…bath tub was TINY, bed was ok…. WAY overpriced for what we got. Won’t stay there again…
- 2/5
The room was weird and unpleasant, the hallways and elevator lobbies were third world. It was the worst Doubletree I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at many.
- 1/5
You didn’t tell me that the hotel was under renovation and we didn’t get a discount for that .. sink coming off the wall, rust stains in bathtub, shower was poor, only one elevator working. Staff was very rude when I requested a discount. Not good enough to be a Hilton Brand hotel chain.
- 2/5
Dated, mismatched furniture, no style, walls scuffed up, overpriced. Quality of Motel 6 but with a $300 price tag. Shower pressure was a joke. Not a nice hotel at all.
- 2/5
I had 120 dollars taken from my room. It was returned and they said it was a misunderstanding it was clearly with other things and not a tip. The pool has dryer lint blowing in it from the dryer vents and it is a hotel so there is a lot of lint. Mostly just frustration about not being able to trust belongings in the room
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay . No problems
- 5/5
Great place with a lot of space, the facility as well as the rooms were very clean, I will definitely stay again when I’m back in town.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 2/5
One of the worst Hilton’s I’ve stayed at. This hotel is so outdated and in desperate need of a refresh. I’ve stayed in better hotels in 3rd world countries like Columbia and Venezuela. There’s no coffee table, not place to put your suitcase to unpack. Very old, very worn out dresser and night stands. The makeshift desk didn’t even have a light bulb in the lamp. This would be better suited as HOSTEL rather than Hilton property. I think it’s time to go back to Holiday Inn or Marriott properties. Honestly I’ve stayed at more modern Motel 6’s and they sure didn’t cost $180 a night. If this represents the “new Hilton” Paris Hilton should sell the family property and get out.
- 3/5
The hotel is just a bit run down and the staff in the bar/restaurant area was not accommodating.
- 5/5
Great stay as always
- 5/5
Super convenient and close to everything like dining, shopping, or just a good night out in santan. Hotel is always clean and with no hassle. Whenever im in gilbert this is where i stay
- 5/5
great!
- 3/5
The hotel seemed to be mid-remodel, not totally sure though. The furniture and fixtures in the room were a mixture of newer and dated/worn down pieces. Otherwise the room was fine, price was good, and location was great for our needs.
- 4/5
Close to shopping.
- 5/5
everything was good and I enjoy it.
- 2/5
Hotel is very rundown. All the furniture in the room was junky and mismatched almost like it was purchased at a flea market or garage sale. The lobby bar ran out of wine and glasses one night. The kitchen had two fires so we could not eat. There was clumps of hair on shower walls. Housekeeping must be requested, and if they come they make the bed and replace towels only. Train wakes you up each night. San Tan Village is nearby but, there are no nice hotels in the area. Don’t stay here if you expect a fancy hotel.
- 1/5
ONLY STAY HERE IF YOU WANT YOUR TIRES STOLEN!!!! Staff seemed inconvenienced for having to work with us. Didnt care about any of the customers whose tires were stolen, there are no cameras for security.
- 3/5
The hallway carpet on the 4th floor looked as if it had not been vacuumed in days. We were given a handicap accessible room (with hard floors and no bathroom countertops) when we were not handicapped and did not order one, there was no complimentary breakfast like most places offer, and I would have been charged $3.00 for a generic brand bottle of water if I had opened it in my room. Very disappointed!
- 5/5
Nice place
- 1/5
So the rooms shown on their website are completely different than the actual room. Our room had zero carpet, no room decoration, no ambiance. The ONLY thing that was good was the bed. Will never stay here again.
- 5/5
Room was super nice, no carpet which is always a plus. Room service food was delicious. We only stayed one night so we didn’t use the pool but from the looks of it it looks very nice and clean. I will say that at that price should be included.
- 5/5
Had a great stay
- 5/5
Nice quaint little spot.
- 4/5
Some things can be updated and it took a long time for my deposit to be put back on my card. Room was very spacious though and comfortable.
- 5/5
Would highly recommend this property. The pool area was absolutely amazing. Clean and very welcomed after traveling all day.
- 4/5
First, I am fully taking into account that this is a Double Tree in Gilbert AZ, not a major hotel in a metro center. That said: The front desk staff were on point. Truly great service - if management reads this, give them a raise. The other staff were a mixed bag. We were there for a company meeting and no one knew where the HDMI cable was to attach to the meeting room’s TV. Only at the end of the final day did someone come back to the property who knew where it was. The cleaning staff still hadn’t gotten to my room by about 6PM on the first full day of my stay. So I just swapped some towels with them and said thanks (and gave them a tip - their job is no fun, TIP THEM). The hotel itself was clean, especially the common areas like the lobby, grill / bar and workout room. The hotel undergoing remodeling and it needs it. There are some very noticeable (large) patches on the walls as well as some marks from carts that some Simple Green, a towel, and maybe a quick brush with some paint would have made disappear. The chair in my room was a cool, retro (looking?) one… but it was missing an armrest. And I confirmed with a colleague, the lights from the parking lot seep through the blinds and ended up projecting onto my (and their) ceiling. It wasn’t excessively bright, but it definitely meant my room wasn’t as dark as I would have wished. There is an (outdoor, in AZ???) mall a couple of blocks away. I walked there within 20 minutes (in the evening, when it was only 90 :-D ).
- 1/5
Major issues, booked a larger room with king bed and corner tub to help with travel pain, prepaid 5 days in advance. Got there , " we have no kings" then " we have no tubs" " we have no larger rooms" " Yes there was painting on each floor " sink did not drain, air conditioner thumped loudly all nite. no coffee downstairs, no breakfast. We have asthma , staying in a freshly painted space was not ok. Elevator taped off and dropclothed etc. Website does not reflect any of this, no heads up for health issues etc. No offer to mitigate issues. Just 4 word responses . Absolutely worst experience and we've stayed all across usa. Never felt so poorly treated. We are Hilton honors... and chose this because we can count on the Doubletree. or could, apparently not anymore
- 3/5
The place is under construction as they are remodeling. However, the remodeling work looks poorly done. The room felt cold, looks wise...had no appeal.
- 5/5
service
- 2/5
1. Shower area unclean. 2. Bedding dirty
- 4/5
This was an overnight stay for an awards banquet. Room was nice.
- 3/5
No where did it say on the Hilton app or on Expedia that the hotel was undergoing renovations. Lots of noise and workers in and out. Would have been nice to know during booking process.
- 1/5
Oh and get this if you go over your credit they will charge you more what a scam. At least just be truthful about what you advertise.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
The hotel staff were kind and personable. They were constantly working hard to make our stay enjoyable. It was clean, the pool was beautiful the food was amazing. It was like being home away from home. The best kept secret and our permanent favorite hotel.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent!!
- 5/5
Everything went perfectly well. Definitely will stay here again.
- 4/5
Easy access to Parking lot
- 5/5
We were very impressed with the staff. They were all very welcoming and bent over backwards to ensure that our stay was amazing. Very clean facilities and I was impressed with everyone and everything. I would absolutely stay here again.
- 3/5
The front desk person was rude and short with us
- 3/5
Bathroom was old. Housekeepers had to be called to come clean apartment. Not enough towels for 3 guests. Never received wash clothes.
- 1/5
When we returned to our room on the evening of 8/5 the AC was not working. We went to the front desk and were told maintenance had gone home and nothing could be done. There were three of us and all they offered was one King room. We asked for a roll away and were told that was not available. Eventually, we accepted the one king room and one of us slept on the floor. This is absolutely unacceptable. I paid for 3 people to have a place to sleep. I believe I should recieve a refund / compensation for this event
- 3/5
Room was clean but not well furnished. Large room with tiny closet. Faucet was broken. "Pool view" was the parking lot. Pool was very nice but not cleaned and had lots of bugs in it.
- 3/5
Not so good: I was disappointed to receive a room with double beds rather than the King I reserved via Hotels.com. Upon investigation, I learned When booking a room via A third party, you are not guaranteed the room you think you are reserving (my husband and I slept in separate beds). The hallways, bar & restaurant are a bit dark & outdated. Needs a little TLC in different areas. The tub & grout need updating.
- 1/5
Keys didn’t work at all had to go to front desk everytime I needed to open my room ….
- 5/5
Very friendly & helpful staff. Clean room.
- 3/5
Location was good. Staff was xlnt. Unfortunately the hotel itself needs a full facelift. Pictures must be from when it first opened because it is not the same. Room was large but very stark and dated. Hardwood floors make for lots of echoes when there is no furniture. AC roared like freight train. Rusty bathtub/shower. Disappointing for a Doubletree
- 3/5
The first night a fire alarm went off. I have a back injury. Needless to say it wasnt a pleasant stay
- 3/5
The biggest problem is with marketing. I searched on Expedia for hotels with free breakfast. This came up. It appears that this hotel figured out a way to avoid being filtered by offering one hotel option with breakfast for a much higher price and then all other options without breakfast. I was tricked by this scam when I didn't realize the other options that had the breakfast symbol were not free breakfast. I won't be staying here again.
- 3/5
In the past, I have Love staying at the Doubletree hotels maybe it’s because of the cookies I don’t know but this trip made me a little sad. The hotel seems to be very rundown. I had to change rooms because my shower had was not working in the room needed a little bit of repair, the staff was excellent check-in was very easy and cookies were warm!
- 5/5
Very convenient for our planned activity
- 3/5
The hotel overall was not clean. The bathroom left much to be desired. There was pubic hair and dust on the edges of the walls and the tub needed a good cleaning. The fixtures and caulking around the tub were rusty. The room looked like someone was was moving out but they hadn’t taken the large furniture, haha! The rooms feel pretty bare. The wood floor is nice, but it makes the room feel even more bare, and loud because there is nothing to dampen the sound. Overall, we lived but we wouldn’t stay again. At least, not until they do some updating and clean the place up.
- 5/5
Very nice room. Spacious and clean. Delicious and warm chocolate chip cookie at check in. Highly recommend this place!
- 5/5
Excellent service from a friendly staff , nice pool and gym area and overall great experience
- 5/5
The room were clean and well organized. The dinning breakfast you pay advance is a little confusing. Do it if you plan on eating there. If not, than don’t. You get a deal when paid advance or else it real expensive. I just didn’t like coffee not free, and doesn’t get brewed till 7am. We are early people and had to be out the door to field at 6:30am.
