Great hotel, but bathroom door hard to close and bathroom had stray hairs in shower and on the lotion dispenser

It is a pet friendly hotel and barking dogs at night was the least liked.

Property is clean, rooms are good size with appropriate furnishings (including MW and mini fridge in our standard king room), staff were friendly, breakfast buffet was typical (few hot items, waffles, cereal, fruit, etc.) with good hours of 6-10am every day. I had hoped to get an early check in, though that unfortunately could not be accommodated (not sure if that was truly due to room availability or simply standard policy, though I suspect the latter). All in all, a nice stay and good value for a pleasant, clean facility in Georgetown.

Just stayed one night. Nice quiet room. Bed was very comfortable. Need a little more care cleaning the bathroom. Dirt in corners on the floor and a little mold around the shower. Check in and check out staff were very pleasant and professional. Breakfast service ok, had to ask for the coffee carafe to be refilled as it was empty. Had to ask for more yougurt as the container was empty.

I must admit that I was very pleasantly surprised by this Hotel. The staff was super super friendly. It was all very clean. The beds were comfortable and the water hot. I’d highly recommend this place

Good location with waterfront view. We had a King suite but the lounge area was very dark and the window overlooking the marina was so small. It was a missed opportunity!

Nice hotel - probably the most expensive in the area and I stay here frequently. Even though the televisions are connected wrong in the one bedroom suites - which is incredibly stupid! But last night there were drunks fighting in the hall and slamming doors on the 4th floor after midnight. Called the desk and there is no security for the hotel - one woman on duty, alone. She said I could call the police. A place with $300 rooms should provide security, and I will not stay there again.

The scent of the property in the lobby could be more inviting and fresh. It has an old scent that does not fit the property's aesthetic at all. The following morning I ran into the cleaner using Pinesol on the floors which I think left that old mold scent. The property should also look into that. Nice room, staff was friendly

Most Hampton Inns would be “quite nice” for my business travels. This one was more in the “it will do” category. AC unit rattled so loudly I unplugged it, the door handle to the room fell off in my hand, breakfast was below average lacking the variety most Hampton Inns offer.

Nice hotel and great staff - but really disappointed in the TV set-up in our room! In the one bedroom suites the TV in the bedroom works great, but for some reason (and it is in all the suites) the TV in the sitting room will not connect to the internet, and the guide does not show any info. The staff confirmed that it was set up wrong and is too expensive to change. Really sad for a nice (and expensive) place like this. If there was a decent option I would stay elsewhere.

Just wrapped up my stay and had to give this place a shoutout — absolutely loved it! The hotel is spotless, beautifully kept, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. If you’re booking, trust me — go for one of the 4th-floor suites overlooking the marina. Waking up to that view? Unreal. Plenty of parking, and there’s even a convenient little store right across the street for snacks and last-minute things. 10/10 would stay again — total hidden gem!

The breakfast could be improved. Ditch the drink coaster so called omelets and just stick with scrambled eggs. The hard boiled eggs were in the shell and the shells wouldn't strip without destroying the egg. The eggs are already shelled at Holiday Inn Express. Biscuits and gravy would be better than all the sugary muffins.

We liked everything, nothing was not pleasing. The breakfast was good with options, the room was clean, however you should really have more clean towels, pillows, and blankets in the room, especially with a family.

Friendly Professional and clean

The first night in room 416 woke up at 2 in the morning sweating because air wasn’t working. Moved to room 425 next and water coming in through the window seal. Roughed it out due to not feeling like moving again.

7/17/25: Super continental breakfast. Love make-your-own waffles! Room was clean and quiet. Nice view of the marina.

Everything was great as far as staff, amenities and convenience to things we needed. Our only drawback was our room location we were first floor between bathrooms for breakfast area on one side and elevators on the other side, made for very noisy area this room should be a storage room or something

Who is actually awful about two rooms down people had dogs in their room and they left them in there to go to dinner and they barked the entire time while we were getting ready to go to dinner. Then we went out that night and wanted to sleep in they were barking their heads off at 7:00 in the morning it was awful I think if you're going to allow pets it should be a certain floor of the hotel not by other guests without dogs.

Very dated property needs a total redo not worth the price , not up to Hampton standards. Front desk would not let me add my Hilton member number because we booked thru Expedia . We had to extend or stay for a day so they made us check out and check back in (same room) with a new key higher rate but we could add our Hilton member number. If we had to do it over would have booked Murrells Inlet which is a totally remodled Hampton.

Great stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet offered many options and was kept clean and tidy, and the room was clean and spacious. The only problem we saw was the pool could have been cleaner.

The facility was clean and well kept. We enjoyed the staff, they were friendly and very accomadating. They were well prepared for the 4 baseball teams that were there this week for The Classic. The had extra hands on deck to keep up with breakfast for the guests over the weekend. The only issue we had the entire stay was the refrigerator was not working in our room. It would cool down but would not stay cold. I had a few things in there at the beginning of our stay but realized that it was not working, so was able to do something else with the food. It is just something that needs to be brought to the staff's attention. I am sure those room fridge's do not get use very often and is a easy fix. Thank you for going above for the out of town guests this weekend.

This location is a regular place to stay when I am in Georgetown. The staff are friendly, attentive, and professional . There was a noise issue next to the room I stayed in, I called the front desk and they promptly took care of it.

Luggage carts for transporting luggage are awful!! Not only was our stuff falling off, so was another guest & she was also trying to hang onto a child. Breakfast wasn't even warm, but a Hardee's near by.

This hotel is in need of updating. Our room was not very clean and bathroom was awful. We did not want to get into the shower. The shower floor was moldy and coming apart. Our room overlooked the trash dumpster. There were so many people smoking outside the front doors we had to hold our breath !

Nice hotel with a great view of the marina. The dock is right out back. I enjoyed walking on the dock and looking at the boats. There’s also a nice sitting area. Front desk lady was super nice. Hotel could use a little TLC, but it wasn’t too bad. Pretty clean too.

The Hampton Inn Georgetown Marina is located in a lovely waterfront spot, but it’s obviously an older property that needs some serious renovation and redecoration. Our two-room suite was poorly furnished, and what furniture there was appeared to have been brought in from various other places. It was “tired” and would benefit from a complete redo.

Room was not cleaned by attendant the following day after arrival. Front desk apologized as it should’ve been done.

This hotel was dirty. Housekeeping only came if you requested it. The rates were too high for a dirty facility. Would definitely not recommend.

I liked the location near a lovely marina. However, the TV remote did not work and required a visit to the room by a maintenance man who said the system is only 2 weeks old and has had a lot of problems. The next night, the remote for the air conditioning did not work, and the temperature was 76 degrees all night.

Property is a bit old and could really use some updates. Location is excellent and would be better if old restaurant next door still existed. Relaxing area with good view of harbor. Staff was nice.

It was OK. But the front desk refused to switch me to a room with water view saying because i booked it through Hotels.com. does that mean booking through Hotels.com would be downgraded?

The stay was comfortable, we were given the option of snacks & drinks as a welcome, they offer a complimentary hearty breakfast, and the hotel was clean. My only problem was there was a HUGH dog on the premises. It woke us up with his barking and startled my wife when we exited the elevator. We're not pet people and would prefer not to be disturbed by a dog. Nothing against those that like pets but we who are not, should not be inconvenienced.
