I like area that the hotel was in . My room could have been a little more cleaner than what it was. Or should fix up.

It’s clean, comfortable, and walking distance to river street and other historic district areas like Forsyth Park. They also offer a free shuttle if you don’t want to walk. Front desk was very helpful. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was breakfast and the bar area. It was $16 for breakfast but everything was empty. Including the coffee. They were working hard but couldn’t get caught up. They made great omelets but we had a long wait and received the wrong order. Bartender wasn’t very friendly and the drinks were very weak and not very good. Especially for the price.

The location was great. Staff was friendly. Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. There was no marijuana smell in the building like several previous hotels I've visited with my kids. Wish the pool had been open. Only complaint. Lol.

The pictures online do not match the hotel itself. There is a newish lobby that is a separate building. That look nice but the hotel side looks old and ran down. Was not what we expected at all.

It was a place to rest my head for the night while traveling. I should have known this was not the best choice due to a woman in the lobby telling me not to stay here when I first arrived. But I still checked in. The ceiling was leaking, and I had to put a trash can under the leak. This made the room smell musty. And in the morning, the trash can was 3/4 full of water! So, I went down to breakfast and when I came back the cleaning people were in my room cleaning. Check out was not until 11am and it was only 8 am. My stuff was still in the room, so you could tell I had not left yet.

The room itself was OK. Easy location to Uber into historic Savannah, Check in desk/building can be easily missed if you don't know where you are going. Back carpark seemed very sketchy. Corridors were a bit sketchy too. Bathroom was very basic. Could do with modernising and better lighting.

Location Room was damp, paint falling off the ceiling, door did not shut all of the way, breakfast was supposed to be included; however, there was no milk for the cereal, o juice in the machine, there was was only bread.

Floor of room didn’t look like it had been vacuumed, latch on door was broke, you could tell the door had been kicked in at some point cause it didn’t close fully towards the bottom. Shower pressure was garbage. Hotel was about 13 minutes from downtown Savannah which was great but I probably wouldn’t book here again. Beds were uncomfortable, pillows could definitely be better. Half the electrical outlets/usb ports didn’t work.

Hotel seems to be in a safe area. It was pretty quiet except for the workers cleaning rooms yelling back and forth to each other at 9 a.m. they do not clean your room while you are staying here. They empty your trash and change out Your towels only. The bed sits on some kind of metal platform, and when you sit down on it. It sounds like roaring thunder the first time I did it, it scared the crap out of me. This is a no-frills hotel and with the exception of them not cleaning it, it was fine. No bugs or anything. Hot water with good water pressure. Ten minutes from downtown savannah.

We got two rooms, one for us and one for our teens. The room they put us in was so filthy there was no way we were staying in it. We would have asked for a refund but not knowing the area we didn't want to just get another bad hotel so we stuck it out. The moved us to another room because the first room had a floor that looked to beel unswept and unmopped, what looked to be a bloody bugger on the bathroom wall, a filth line where the only cleaned so far up the bathtub, a huge hairball on the floor, and possibly a old dried up veggie on the bedside table. I really wished we could have just left but the second room and the kids room was cleaner. But not as clean as a hotel should be. So we opted to use shower shoes in the tubs to be safe. And wipe things with disinfectant wipes. There were no signs of bugs so that was at least a positive. Now we had some food we wanted to microwave the second the night. Where we discovered the kids microwave was disgusting, then our microwave was broken. The receptionist let us come use the microwave at the breakfast bar. That microwave was fine but our youngest teen used the toaster and it blew a circuit and part of their electric went out. I've never been more disappointed in a hotel stay in my life and I'm really confused at why this hotel was rated to high It seemed the neighborhood was rather unsafe according to a local at Walgreens. She told us to walk alone. Then the owners or someone seemed to be living in the back of this hotel with their ducks and chickens. Not including the bandit of female "seggs" workers that we seen leaving the hotel each morning. If you understand what I'm saying I mean I don't think I could comment more on how bad this place was. To put it into perspective.

Only a 10-15 min drive to River street Bad area, smells like cat piss, unfriendly staff, gross rooms, loud and uncomfortable bed.

The only small thing was that we had to wait about 10 minutes for the man at the front desk to come back because he was helping someone else check in. Also, we didn’t put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, so around 9:30 or so, housekeeping opened our door. But the man was very polite, so it wasn’t a big deal. Just in case, I recommend using the “Do Not Disturb” sign to avoid situations like that. For the price, it was a great option. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at this hotel

I have checked out of this Econo Lodge But the worst night was Tuesday, September 21, 2026, when the power went out for hours. No AC. No lights. 87 degrees inside the room. What made it even worse is that this hotel openly segregated guests by race. They have two clearly different sides of the building one rundown, one well-maintained. White guests were placed on the better side (Block 4). I was originally put on the worse side. When I went back to the front desk, I told the clerk that I would cancel my entire 7-night stay if he did not move me to the better side. He quickly made a phone call, hung up, and changed my room to Block 4. That should tell you everything they knew exactly which side was better and they knew they were wrong. On top of that, they run three different WiFi networks and segregate who gets the strong signal versus the weak one. Again, white guests got the best connection. Black guests got the worst. The room itself was also unsafe. The safety lock on the door was broken off. And the door itself had to be lifted up in order for it to even lock. When I asked the front desk for help during the power outage, they did not offer a refund or relocation. They simply left us in an uninhabitable, unsafe room with no power in summer heat and could not give an estimated time of when the power would be restored. I have filed complaints with the DOJ Civil Rights Division & CH Corporate

I did not want to stay there at all, So I went to town instead, when going to the hotel afterwords I got pulled over by the cops, they accused me of driving under the influense, even though I was not and it cost me $4,150 for defense, plus the towing cost me another $269. I should have stayed in the downtown area and saved all this hastle and cost for just a bit more. I got depressed when I 1st entered the room so I left and go into a trouble I never imagined I was going to get into. What a bad omen. I did not like anything at all

STAY AWAY….Photos are misleading and the facility is unsecured. Looks as if people are living at the facility. Made the mistake of trying to open the wrong room and was able to open the room. When we arrived to our room it was musty and the floor was coming up due to moisture. The place was in disrepair compared to the photo listed. We spent less than 10 minutes before retuning the room cards and leaving.

I booked a room and paid with my credit card card and at the end it booked in my daughters name and she’s a minor and they see where I paid and I stood up there 2 hours and she still was asking for my daughter I’d smh

This hotel was very dirty and smelly. My room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all and the hallways were disgusting. Also not the safest area. The first time I walked out of the hotel I was almost knocked over by a cop chasing down some guy.

The only good part was the front desk ladies were nice. Inside was dirty stuff all over the walls, doors, curtains and the walls were so thin so when anyone would go out of a room you heard it slam especially when someone next door is screaming and yelling slamming doors or even stomping down the halls you hear everything.

The 1st building door was off the hing of the entrance. Also carpet smells terrible through out hotel hallways.

The pictures they show are not from the place , that room is nasty they smoke in those room the hotel room was dirty all the walls there was bugs in the room spiders to be specific , no fire alarm, the phone was broken inside a drawer , all hotel smell like smoke , there was homeless people sleeping on the hotel hallways , don't stay there is crazy

We decided to take a last minute trip. This location was close to where we wanted to go, and it was within a decent price range. We checked in late. The attendant wasn’t very friendly, but he wasn’t rude either. The room was okay. It looked like they were trying to renovate, but just patched some things up. For the most part it was fairly clean. The floor in the shower was a bit scary looking, and our hand soap was already open, but otherwise it was fairly clean. Also, the bed was not the most comfortable. Overall, I didn’t have an overly positive or negative experience here. You get what you pay for, so it served its intended purpose.

Nothing I reserved a non-smoking room, yet the room smelled heavily of smoke. I had make reservations elsewhere. Still waiting on a refund from booking.com, as I was told by the receptionist at the hotel I had to go through them for a refund. I’ll probably have to fight for it.

The bathroom needs repainted, the door to the room was filthy and there was a spill in the refrigerator.

He then walked around the room showing how filthy it was and did not even have a smoke detector as it had been removed. It was a room w/ a kitchenette. We liked that we were together. Also the price and location was good, and the room was pretty clean. The breakfast was buns, apples too small, bananas too green, cereal selection lacking.

There was an ironing board and iron, as well as a blow dryer. They offer a continental breakfast but we didn't take advantage of it, so I can not comment on that. Wifi is available but kept dropping off. Rooms are a bit dated. Overall, it worked for what we needed.

Internet is slow (40mbos) and the TV is a really old flat screen which I was able to get connected to a Firestick with some effort. Internet is too slow for decent streaming. Room is run down and bed had bedbugs. People seem to hang out in the parking lot more than thier rooms. Had to get 3 lightbulbs installed, room is poorly lit. Fridge is a decent size and there is small a microwave. Setting aside the bedbugs (if that's possible) the bed was comfortable enough, chairs were not comfortable at all. Shower has weak pressure. Ice maker seemed sketchy and exterior doors were not properly secured. Many "residents" seem to live here permanently.

Walked into the room found toothbrush plastic trash and swisher sweet cigar, restroom door did not lock nor close, desk for laptop had no outlets no where near it. The pool wasn't open. The hotel rooms looked run down, it was smelly and they could have done a better job cleaning. Lots of suspicious people around. A lyft driver told us this motel was unsafe and is regularly busted by the police for drug activity and people using it as a space for solicitation of illegal activities.

It was a good stay! For the amount of money i wanted to spend on, it was on point. It was comfortable enough, did not smell like smoke/cigarettes, bathroom was clean, 2 beds clean and towels. The front desk lady was nice when I checked in. Overall, it is a great place to sleep in and refresh. I also like that they have microwave, fridge (everything got frozen, I guess I had to adjust the temperature). The place is like 12-15mins drive to downtown Savannah where we wanted to go and probably 30minutes to Tybee Island. I highly recommend this place if you have a car and just looking for a place to stay.

I also like that they have microwave, fridge (everything got frozen, I guess I had to adjust the temperature). The place is like 12-15mins drive to downtown Savannah where we wanted to go and probably 30minutes to Tybee Island. I highly recommend this place if you have a car and just looking for a place to stay.

I love a good motel stay, but this place was something else. Don’t stay if you can help it. The room smelled like ferrets had been let lose for several days and the air was so thick and stale. It felt like the sheets had been changed but nothing else had been cleaned. Lock on the door was loose. We left bc we just couldn't stay the night

Location was a little concern and sad there was no pool to use yet if there was I don't think it would be good idea to use as probably wouldn't be the safest.

The first room they gave us smelled musty. The second room was better but it had a perfume smell. We took it. The fridge was turned off so it was warm and it was dirty on the inside. Staff were helpful when asked. Breakfast was very limited.

This is a decent budget property alternative to Savannah hotels. We've used it twice now when looking to do a last-minute weekend getaway to Savannah, and nothing was available downtown for less than $300 a night. The rooms are decent with minimal frills, but it's only a 5-minute, $10-15 Lyft ride into the historic district.

Over all the room had mold in tub and on ceiling looked like there was a water leak before and floors definitely were coming up. I only stayed one night for work but when i checked out i forgot a pair of my favorite sandals so i called to see if a maid has returned them and the lady couldn’t tell me over the phone and kept saying call back tomorrow so i came to hotel and they had an attitude about having to check the storage room for them. My shoes were returned but why souls a customer have so much trouble retrieving items that may have been left behind. It happens people leave things but you shouldn’t have an attitude about it just simply look in the list and found if it’s there cool if it’s not still cool but customer service was horrible

Staff was rude. Our key card stopped working and they tried to deny us access to our paid room with our things inside. Staff was very argumentative and unapologetic. Do not recommend!

It’s an okay option for the price point. Get safe, but definitely dated. Ended up here because all the hotels in the area were fully booked and no other options close by. Would stay again if there was a need.

I reserved a nonsmoking room but the room smelled like cigarettes. The room was dirty and there was a dead roach in the bathroom. The paint was peeling plus the walls and doors had stains on them.

Checked in Friday. Looked like out door had been kicked in. The TV didn't work, called the front desk she said she would send a maintenance man down. We left he never came. When we got back I called back down to the office and was told very rudely that they were busy and nobody was coming ....didn't get the problems fixed until Saturday night and we checked out Sunday morning.

The heater is not working. The deadbolt lock is not working. Change to the new room. 2nd room has a big hole on the wall

They would not answer the phone to confirm rooms and eta. Couldn’t find the hotel called 10x at 10pm then left me outside while checking me in while the weather was 20 degrees waiting for 15 min before letting me in

The pictures look nothing like in person rewl time . The hotel needs a major renovation. We had to change rooms because the first room air conditioning unit wasnt working. The rooms had roaches in them. We didn't want to leave food or drinks out. Put everything in the refrigerator. The furniture is old and dated. The bathroom shower had wallpaper peeling and brown ceiling waterspots . The location is close to the interstate and the neighborhood is somewhat sketchy but we stayed quiet and kept to ourselves . The staff are friendly . I would not stay here again. Would not recommend the hotel . They also charge 50 dollar room deposit which isnt listed on the website

Well at first everything was good the room was nice and homey. Then I used the bathroom twice then it clogged up and toilet water was everywhere leaking through the wall under the bed and all the lady at the desk could do (time was like 7 something) was give me a plunger and tell me to use towels to get the water up…7 in the morning they switched rooms and I still had to check out at 11…the rooms looked good I did like that and the rooms were clean!

This hotel was disgusting. I should of read the reviews before going here. The lobby to check in is cleaned so you would think the hotel itself was cleaned NOPE! Though I only stayed one night, my family and I were literally in disgust the whole time. The bathrooms were not cleaned and jail bathrooms probably look better. I had to go to Walgreens next door to get disinfectant spray and wipes to spray the bed and bathroom. The pillows were dirty and when I asked for new ones they told me the laundry was closed and didn't care that I just got there and their pillows are dirty. There were roaches on the bed. The doors in the hallway was dirty likes its never been wiped down. The walls were dirty in the room i can see hand prints and dry buggies. Smh Breakfast was muffins and powered doughnuts from hotess at Walgreens. We check out early because I just felt so uncomfortable. GET SOME WORKERS AND CLEAN YOUR HOTEL ROOMS NASTY !! Lets start with the manager. There is only 1 ramp for the handicapped to get to the office. The manager parked her car in front of the ramp overnight. There is nothing on the web site informing patrons of the 50 dollar increase for a 2nd night stay. They were doing construction on the building in which we stayed. The pool was unavailable. No coffee in the room. If you call that breakfast you're sadly mistaken. Cereal and small muffins is not breakfast! I had to take my wheelchair to the mini market next door to get hot coffee and breakfast the second day we stayed. Believe me, i will never stay at an EconoLodge again!

I will never return to that particular EconoLodge, customer service very poor. My Driver's License was not returned for over 20 hours that I stayed in the premises, when I checked out the lady at the desk did not return my ID. I had to incur unnecessary costs to recover my ID. Terrible experience.

People sleeping in there car in the parking lot. The room was clean for the most part however the floor was filthy.

It is good if you have a limited budget. Don't expect the best but have everything you need to keep moving during an emergency travel.

this hotel is the worst hotel i ever stayed . I tried to cancel my stay but this hotel doesn't reimburse you the money. They give you only one towel per person and i found roaches everywhere. The bathroom was not clean and the sheets were smelly. Please don't make the mistake I made booking this hotel trying to save.
