Location was great! Staff was fantastic!

Upon arrival the room assigned smelled as if someone has just eaten onion. The staff immediately assigned us to another one. Which smelled cleaner than the initial one. However, the toilet handle was broken, and the iron did not work.

The ac unit was so loud it sounded like a jet engine I our room! Every time it started it sounded so loud it kept us all awake and hardly got any sleep! Not sure if it was just our room or what! Room 219!!

One night stay prior to a cruise. First time at property and would recommend this hotel. Nice size rooms, like the separate dressing area from bathroom, decent breakfast, not bad area or distance to port. Very pleasant young man checked us in, friendly and helpful.

The hot tub had an odor. The property needs to be updated: paint, furniture stained or painted. Pool was great.

Clean rooms, good breakfast and glad to see the new arrangement for the waffle station, minimized the congestion in the breakfast selection area.

The layout of the room, with a wall separating the "living" area from the bed, was very nice. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good, better than expected for a free breakfast. They offered several options not typical of free breakfasts, including cheddar jalapeno popovers, biscuits and gravy, and scones, to name a few. The room and furnishings were very worn (eg chip and crack in the bathroom sink, sofa fabric very worn). It took a long time to get passably hot water in the shower. Our room had a lot of traffic noise from the adjacent highway.

I've stayed several times at Springhill in Galveston. They have a great breakfast. The front desk attendant always speaks to you.

Place was amazing friendly staff that helped with an early check in since our flight was early. Breakfast was fresh it was an awesome thing to see Texas shaped waffles loved that addition. Parking was plentiful for the amount of people that seemed to be checked in for the cruises that were leaving out the next day.

The entire property is spotlessly clean and feels very modern. The rooms are huge, quiet, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Most importantly, my fiancé and my son loved it just as much as I did—it was perfect for the whole family. It feels way more high-end than the price tag suggests. The staff was amazing, and the whole vibe was just fresh and welcoming. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island!

The breakfast was awesome and delicious. The carpet should be cleaned, but it was ok. I had a sofa sleeper, the mattress was horrible, stained and had an odor. I did not sleep on it, but folded the bed back up and used spare sheets and slept on the sofa cushions.

The manager Irene Carrillo was just Amazing and very friendly. She made our stay this weekend for our Honeymoon Amazing. We will be back for our next vacation. 💯 Satisfied

Shower and toilet didn’t work well as far as flushing and the tub didn’t drain

Carpet was worn and left a smell in the hallway. The sink in our bathroom was cracked and so was tiles in the shower. The location wasn’t the best. Road it’s on is divided by a highway. Making it hard to get into.

The only thing lacking was the fitness center. 1 treadmill and few free weights and kettlebells. There were 2 tiny under-desk style step machines, but not sure how you would actually utilize these in the limited space available. Definitely no more than 2 people could fit in there at a time.

The room was very poorly organized: A king bed's width was much too large - and positioned so that the air conditioner/heater vent was 20" from the occupant's head. This resulted in a loud mechanical noise from what appeared to be a very old system aimed directly at the occupant's ears throughout the night. Bad experience from Marriott!

Nice large room with 2 beds and pull out sleeper. There was quite a bit of road noise and we were on the third floor. Breakfast was good with several choices. It was easy to find and close to sea wall.

An overnight stay before the cruise. It was clean enough spaces the breakfast had plenty of options. Printed off some extra papers in the business center. All in all it fit it needs.

Nice place for kids as they have an indoor heated pool and a hot tub. We stay here when going on cruises that leave Galveston.

Our sheets were stained, room had a foul smell to it. There were also only two working exits for the entire building, not exactly safe in the event of an emergency.

The parking was convenient and safe. The hotel was clean and quiet and the staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast had many options and there was plenty of food available. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is not perfect but overall it was really good. The tv channel options could use some improvement. The hotel room AC took quite awhile to cool down the room. For the price there is no need to look elsewhere book your stay here and I think you will be happy.

The property was very clean and close to the freeway. Despite the proximity to the busy highway, it was quiet inside. The room was spacious for a family of 5, and breakfast choices were great! I really liked their cheddar biscuits with gravy!

Overall the staff was friendly and service was great. Sofa bed was not clean nor inviting and not all floors had an ice machine available.

We love staying here but this time the shower and sink made really bad noises when in use. The sink water at one point came out black. Breakfast was great and overall worth it.

Breakfast options were limited and the same each morning. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. The room didn’t have enough plugs and the tv was too small for the room.

The hotel was quiet, clean & staff was courteous. We booked a king bed with a sofa bed and they had everything (bedsheets, blanket, pillow) ready to use on the sofa bed, without having to ask for it. Great stay.

The hotel workers were very nice and helpful. It was not noisey at all. The breakfast was good and my room was nice but a little to dark . This would be a really nice hotel if it was to have some renovations done to update it. The location was not to far from the beach and all the activities. It was perfectly located for me and my husband especially when we were ready to call it a night. We left a day early due to unforeseen circumstances at home. We were refunded for that day. I would like to thank the manager on duty and the front desk clerk for their help, with this situation. Would recommend to fiends and family.

Its a good hotel, about 10 minute drive to the beach. There is an indoor pool that was ice cold for some reason. Breakfast was just ok.

No charging station for EVs on site nor near. Pool is tool small a hefty drive to beach.

This room was just big enough for my family of 5. My husband and I are both tall, so the bed wasn't the most comfortable for us to share since it was just a full size. There is a pool and hot tub, both indoors, that my family enjoyed each day we stayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions.

It was easy to get too and very.clean!

Rooms in need of serious upgrades. Bathrooms in poor condition. Water ran cold which has never happened to us as a hotel before and worst of all we found stains on our mattresses. Here’s a pic of one. We also come to realize the beds didn’t have mattress protectors on them, and we found a dirty use towel in the closet.

Expedia found it necessary as third-party to charge a nights stay however Springhill Suites, rightfully did not charge me a dime. Thankfully, remaining nights were refunded. First and last, certainly will not reserve through Expedia again.

The front desk people were awesome very helpful and it's very clean the only thing I have to complain about is the construction when they were standing the wall white stuff got all over our car but other than that it was an excellent day

Our bathroom toilet didn't really work. Room needed better cleaning. There was popcorn not cleaned up. The hind a bed was uncomfortable. There was no blanket for it.

Old building, I could smell the dust. No spare comforters/pillow for the sofa bed. Called the desk for comforter for the sofa bed, we fell asleep waiting and it wasn’t delivered.

For Springhill Suites, this was one of the least kept locations I've stayed at. Bathrooms were rusty, wallpaper peeling, handles and tub dirty and outdated. Not atrocious but expected better.

This hotel needs to be renovated. Our room has something terribly sticky all over the floor in front of the sofa. My feet was so sticky, I almost couldn’t get off of it. Had to wash them right away with soap. No toilet seat cover on the toilet.

This was a good place for 1 night pre-cruise. It is not walkable to anything and there is no restaurant near-by so prepare to take an Uber for everything. Would be great if they offered a shuttle, I would have been willing to pay a little more for the convenience. The breakfast was limited for healthy options, but more than adequate. Esmerelda made check in quick and easy.

Vacation with my family and it was a really nice place. Heated pool was a plus, breakfast was good with lots of options, and room with pullout couch was exactly what we needed. The couch also had a chase lounge which was helpful as well. Staff was very helpful and accomodating. My critiques are the fitness room was horrible, it needs upgraded and more equipment/options, the exterior needs a paint job to be more updated like other Springhill suites we see, and our room TV had issues connecting to internet and the bathroom handle became loose. We will be back tho as we enjoyed our stay overall.

The property is well maintained, but not in pristine condition. Most of the staff are generally awful and unfriendly but professional. There is ALWAYS a problem EVERYTIME I stay there, and I always have to ask for assistance about one problem or another. It is never smooth or uneventful.

Two-night stay. Excellent staff and breakfast. Very clean and tidy. Free parking and safe area. Overall, I wish we could have given it a 5-star rating; however, the air conditioner unit was SO NOISY we couldn't get a good night sleep both nights. The a/c unit was located less than 3 feet from the head of our bed. Extremely noisy! Had to take a sleeping pill both nights. Still, would wake up about 2 a.m. and move thermostat up from 75 degrees to 80 degrees just to keep it from cycling on and off. Obviously, got a little warm.

Very clean. The swimming pool and hot tub are clean and indoors so that makes it a year round fun activity. The room was spacious smelled fresh was super cool (which is very important with our Texas heat) and … you guessed it… very clean. We will definitely stay again with our family!!

The Springhill suites was very economical. I don't need an ocean view when I can drive 5 minutes to get to the beach.It is way cheaper than those on the beach and much cleaner with better parking and nicer free breakfast.
