    My kids were about to go to sleep and as they pulled out the blanket, they saw a yellow spot and smells like pee..so I went and smelled it and I went to the front desk and told her about it and to tell house keeper to change the sheets. Front desk said they don’t have night house keeper so she gave me new sheets and for me to change them myself…so I pulled the sheets out and started to noticed that it wasn’t going to work because the pee smells was beyond the sheets. I went back to the front desk and told her. She texted her manager and they gave us another room

    The room is clean and good. Staffs are helpful and approachable. The hotel is in very nice location and close to everything especially to the beach. However I was disappointed that there was no microwave in the room and would have been nice if there was a hot breakfast.

    While the staff was pleasant and helpful, I could not understand them very well because of their heavy accents. Also, the room was never cleaned in the four days of our stay…I had to empty the waste baskets and get my own fresh towels.

    My husband and I go to Galveston every year for our anniversary. We have stayed at a variety of places around the island. Spark was above all the best place we have stayed. It was very clean, the staff was very pleasant and the room was exceptional. We will stay here again. Could have used some better pillows but no other complaints

    The hotel was a great place to sleep and in a very convenient location to get where we wanted to go. The staff was great very helpful and accommodating to our needs. The breakfast was pretty basic nothing to write home about. The rooms were cleaned for the most part and maybe because the hotel is older with a slight face lift made it seemed a bit dirty but overall it was a good experience. Would stay here again.

    Charged me $50 deposit even though the room was paid in full prior to checking in, I reserved an ocean view balcony which I did not receive, bathroom had no shower curtain and sink was dirty, breakfast was only bagels, hard boiled eggs cereal and yogurt, the only nice amenity I enjoyed was the pool and hot tub, for $250 a night I would definitely stay else where

    We loved that the property was right across the street from the beach so beach access was very easy. However, the breakfast was not a continental breakfast, and everything served was cold, on purpose. Cold cereal, cold yogurt, cold boiled eggs in the shell, bagels, and apples and bananas. The only thing hot was coffee. So having to eat breakfast out both days cost about $150 extra. Also, do not use their shampoo, conditioner, or shower gel because it doesn't even lather. Bring your own. Oh, and the only elevator in the building to get into the building from the parking area was very small and super slow. There is also very limited number of handicap parking spaces. We will use them again and be better prepared next trip.

    Very disappointing experience. The hotel felt run down, the elevators were broken, and there were no linens provided for the second bed. It was also extremely loud throughout our stay, making it difficult to relax or sleep. Overall, not a good experience and I would not stay here again.

    Was a little disappointed that only one elevator was working, we got either stuck in the elevator or had to wait multiple times because it’s was to small and too many people using one. breakfast was lacking only cereal and bagels that’s pretty much it. But other then that it was clean and staff was super friendly wil definitely be back.

    The gentleman in the evenings was helpful, but you didn’t receive any help in the morning. Room was ok for cleanliness. What was very disappointing was that we stay for 3 nights and NEVER got room service. We had to take out our own garbage, get new toilet paper, and towels. I have never received this bad of service before. Very disappointing.

    Do not book with this Sparks Hotel. I booked 4 rooms at $167.00 a night. When we went to check in they told us $290.83 per room. We showed him I reserved it for $167.00 a night. He told us we had to look at what the cost for that day in time. It was the biggest rip off! I will never use this hotel. Hilton should be ashamed for doing business with these rip of owners.

    I picked the hotel because it said free extended parking. We got there to check in and were charged $10 a night. $50 for the 5 nights. It was too late to try to switch. Very disappointing.

    I suspect the smell in the hotel was the cause of our family getting sick if it was a mold base. They are highly allergic to mold, and we all left sick and disgusted by the condition of the hallways and the rooms. The staff was kind, but just a bit hard to talk to due to a language barrier, but otherwise, it wasn’t a horrible stay, it just wasn’t advertised properly online. Not quite worth 800 for three nights.

    There was man that came in our room. When we told the manager he told me that it did not happened. My husband saw the man that had came through the door. The manager stated that it could not have happened but it did. I heard his voice too. The door was locked. The only way in was with a key card. My husband had to explain what had happened. He was supposed to call us once he saw the video but we are still waiting. Will never go back.

    Do not stay! Uncomfortable and was accused of walking too loudly disturbing people on the bottom. Well your floors are not the best floor to walk on so don’t accuse your guest as we just literally checked in. I would give no star if I could.

    Was acceptable for our needs, location and price. Very basic. No cups in room or bathroom. No housekeeping at all. Posted as every other day but never came in 4 night stay. Breakfast was basic but clean area and organized with hot coffee. Not much parking in front but we got lucky and were able to entire stay. No major complaints and would stay again if needed to.

    Very nice for the money, right across the street from the Gulf could see right off our balcony. Can walk down the street for lots of restaurants and to Walmart if needed. The computers were down when we arrived but staff accommodated well. Stayed for night before cruise worked nicely.

    Room was well maintained, How ever I prepaid for room and had to still put a 50 dol. charge on my account for anything that might be messed up in the room. Usually I give 50 cash and they just hold it til i leave. Also states breakfast. NO eggs no bacon and no waffles like in pics . I did asked on the phone before booking if they had breakfast with these items in particular and was told YeS. BUT THEY DID NOT.

    We had to request an ice bucket and glasses. The floor had not been swept. Staff should speak better English. Soap dispenser in bathroom was out. For a Hilton branch of hotels things could jave been much better. For instance breakfast was not adequate unless your a child who eats ceral etc. We had to eat breakfast out.

    Room floor was not level by at least a foot. Very hard to walk across floor as it caused dizziness and loss of balance . Smell of hotel is overwhelming with cleaning chemicals. Hallways look dingy and dark due to style of carpet. Hallway to elevator and the actual elevator are very narrow and small. Could not use a luggage cart without great difficulty in those areas. Size of elevator can fit two people and luggage only. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. If feel it should be reported to health and code inspectors .

    It was completely the Hilton's fault due to your system being down. The card reader was declining my card. I called my bank and they never received a request from the hotel.     My sister and I stayed there for a weekend staycation. You can tell it's been renovated. For the cost, I think it was great. Right on the beach/Seawall. The offer a nice breakfast in the morning, bagels, muffins, yogurt, coffee, juice. Beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious. I don't have any complaints.

    The property smelt like mold , the staff was very just get you in and out no words said not friendly at all . Our room was ok . The ac unit on the third floor leaked in to our room the 2 days we were there. The sheets had stains. The elevators barely worked and the one in the parking area didn’t work for over a day.

    The bottoms of the tubs are U shaped. So as soon as my husband stepped in the tub he fell. He had pretty impressive bruising on his foot and probably a broken toe. There was the biggest cockroach I have ever seen in our room. When I informed the person at the front desk about the idiotic tub design, my husband falling, and the cockroach she did not seem surprised by any of it. She took my information and said the manager would contact me. It's been almost three weeks and I have not heard from a manager. Our door had been kicked in at some point and instead of fixing it they just painted over the damage. I have pictures. Throughout the hotel there were things taped together with packing tape, doors hanging off hinges, just shoddy workmanship all over. The hotel was so poorly taken care of and dirty that no one in our party dared to eat the complimentary breakfast. If their cleaning and workmanship standards were that low we weren't taking chances with their food safety. It's as if someone bought a completely trashed hotel and instead of fixing anything they just put a coat of paint on and called it good. We had three rooms for our party of eleven. No one besides my husband would even shower in the rooms because they were not cleaned well. Would definitely not recommend. The only good thing about the place is it is across the road from the beach.

    Floor was dirty and gritty! When I entered room took shoes off and my feet got dirty! Even the grit was on foot stool in room. No coffee in room. Breakfast was awful. Gel in tub didn’t work/out! Bed springs creaked all night. Same in our other booked rooms. In one shower drain was broke. No house cleaning! Paid over $1500 for 3 room for 2 nights! Not happy at all!

    THE HOTEL WAS LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE BEACH(SEAWALL BLVD) AND CLOSE TO MOODY GARDENS. THE COFFEE WAS GREAT AND HAD FLAVORED CREAMER(PLUS FOR ME). THE BREAKFAST WAS OK JUST BAGELS(CREAM CHEESE & PEANUT BUTTER), MUFFINS, YOGURT & SOME FRUIT. ONE BAGEL HAD MOLD ON IT SO I TOSSED IT. I WOULD HAVE LIKED SCRAMBLED EGGS BUT IT WAS OK FOR A QUICK BREAKFAST, THE ROOM WAS CLEAN BUT DID NOT HAVE DAILY MAID SERVICE, ONLY ONCE YOU LEFT WHICH WAS OK I GUESS. IF I HAD STAYED LONGER IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE. OVERALL I LIKED THE HOTEL.

    Hotel stole $800 from me. I was told by “hotels.com” I’d be charged for one night. Refuses to give me a refund when I didn’t even stay here. Property looks ghetto. Who would want to stay here??     We had reserved a king room with a pull out couch and instead they gave us a double bed. The hotel was recently renovated, but someone did a quick, crappy job and painted over mold.     Our stay was a little fair. The mini fridge was on the floor. There was no in room coffee pot, no microwave, no dresser, no drinking cups, no pen and paper, no directory, no cushion chair; only one metal chair. No end tables for the bed. There was not even a Bible in the room. The house keeping staff didn't come by the room with fresh towels nor fix the bed with clean sheets. We will not return to this hotel. Being a part of the Hilton franchise, you would think it would be better.

    Weve been staying at this property for years - my kids love the indoor pool and location. That said, we will be looking elsewhere for our next visit to Galveston. The place has a fresh, thick, coat of paint (over everything) and new furniture, but most everything else was lacking. Breakfast is now just muffins and bagels. There were no cups in our room. Our TV could sometimes get sound and almost never get a picture. The bathroom door was nearly impossible to keep closed (particularly annoying with 4 people in the room). Our bathtub had no stopper. The elevators felt like they were barely working, which was particularly an issue as we needed to go downstairs to find cups. And from checkin forward, the front desk staff seemed genuinely annoyed that we were there. All in all, not what we had hoped or expected for our beach vacation.

    We enjoyed the most all about the hotel and location and would stay there again. The only thing that bothered us was the bathroom door was glass and positioned right in front of the beds.     They are remodeling and it is not being done professionally.the room was dirty with visible dirty palm prints on walls. The tub was wired no flat bottom to stand on and was unsafe. Toilet was loss when you sat down. When asked house keepers for one extra towel she said no had to go to front office. When checking out could not get a receipt.

    I would like to say that this hotel should be an embarrassment to the Comfort Inn and Suites hotel chain. The hotel was filthy from the hotel lobby to the rooms and even to the underground parking garage. We stayed on the second floor for 2 nights and there was banging and sounds of furniture moving until midnight both nights on the floor above us.the room itself had a lamp that did not work as well as half the light bulbs were not working some of the fixtures had no working sockets. The whole room itself had the baseboards removed with no attempt to replace them. The room and bathroom were both dirty with stains and dust everywhere. Not sure where the quality control checks came into play but they won’t get my business at that location again. Also there was a big language barrier when staff was asked some basic questions about the hotel.
