The Fancy was amazing!

The staff is amazing. Great views. Swimming pool was so refreshing. We love the cocktails here and we can't wait to stay here again.

I would like to say I had a wonderful, relaxing time but that is not the truth. I don't want to focus on the negative parts of it that I hope will be corrected soon (A/C issues...very hot room...80 degrees before I threw in the towel). What I do want to focus on is the positive sides of this trip and hotel. This was a last minute booking. I wanted to check out this renovated hotel and go spend some time walking the beach. We ate at the little bar area. We had a burger and fries and a few drinks. All was good. The bartender could be a little short but there was a wilder party there, and I am guessing at end of shift, she was getting tired. The hotel itself is beautiful. The plants, the design, the pool, the tile, the pastel colors, the fact you can sit on top even when the bar is closed and enjoyed that area that overlooks the rooms or the seawall/beach and moon view. It is a great location (other than parking...we parked right off the street and it needs to be repaved). I did notice there was a bar and a couple of restaurants walkable but we did not do this. Pool was murky but after a weekend and they did leave it open an hour past to accommodate us but after eating, we actually had 20 minutes. lol We didn't shower and sleep was cut short. We left at 5 am due to heat. What was good is that their staff is cordial, management did make it right, and I absolutely would return and give them a second chance with the coolness of the room.
- 4/5
The hotel was quaint & cute. The set up was sort of like a motel from the inside. You could access your room from the door but from an inside entrance. Balcony view noise from the pool area might be an issue from some people

Had a great stay thanks

- clean rooms - fun/cute vibes - friendly and helpful staff - heated pool - food is great - comfy and clean bed - warm showers Cons: - so loud, can’t sleep, party vibes all the time but it’s yacht rock yuppie party vibes, also - super bright lights by the pool all night, and curtain does not block out all of the light from outside so, also can’t sleep because of that - the lighting in the rooms is anything but pleasant and cozy. I get that they are trying to be mid century style, but the lamps are like interrogation lamps, by the bed and on the ceiling. Light being forced down instead of up, creating weird tense vibes and too dark to see in the corners of the room. - plenty of space for more furniture but there’s only a bed and a hard stool, no chairs, no floor lamps, no extra table to sit at. It feels like they don’t want you to be cozy or comfortable in the room. No art on the walls either which I’m not sure is good or bad but I did see one room being cleaned that had art? - no phone in our room. There was a card that told us how to call the front desk from our room phone, but no phone. - tv only had 5 channels. CNN, FOX, and some sports. Not what was advertised, and the staff said there should be “so many more channels like 40 channels” and we showed them the 5 and they fiddled with our remote and shrugged and blamed it on the rain which made no sense because the 5 channels we had were coming in perfectly clear.
- 5/5
Everything was great, especially the welcoming and accommodating staff. The pool is great and the location convenient. We stayed during a Monday and Tuesday so the restaurant wasn’t open. The food we tried was good but some was bland such as the Caesar salad and the ceviche (campechana) and the kids pasta. The chicken sandwich was really good. Good beer selection, reasonable prices. My family enjoyed our stay. I would definitely go back and recommend it.
- 5/5
Relaxing ambiance, loved the bar upstairs on the terrace and sitting at the bar at The Fancy, great meal and cocktails. My room was spacious and I loved the products. I will stay again with my husband.
- 5/5
Such a cute lil hotel. Very 60s vibe and chic. The upstairs patio is cute and so relaxing to just lay out up there . I like the location to it .
- 5/5
This was such a cute chic hotel! Very great for couples or even a girls trip. Great pool, great rooftop, great bars, and great staff!! Definitely coming back!
- 5/5
This is a hidden treasure. Well located. Cute rooms. Nice pool. Helpful and friendly staff. In my opinion all boxes were checked.
- 5/5
I really like the vibes of 60s. The pool was a lifesaver and the most important thing that they made my pups feel like home.
- 5/5
Love the vibes, the hotel was so clean, the pool was warm and had clean towels ready . The only con was the lighting in the room was very dim .
- 5/5
Cute hotel. Friendly staff
- 5/5
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lucine. The bed was very comfortable, and the vibe of the entire place was wonderful. Very close to the beach! The one and only thing I did not like was the amount of light that came through the drapes, other than that everything was great!
- 5/5
Great bar! Spotless room and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Awesome stay, we will definitely be back.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
One of our favorite places we've stayed, would recommend to anyone.
- 4/5
Room was clean! Bed was a little hard, and curtain didn’t cover the window, so lots of light coming in at night. Over all enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
Easy to check in, Great place to stay if you getting on or getting off a cruise ship, James
- 5/5
The cutest hotel in Galveston by far! Recommend going on the weekends to get the full vibe, but we had a nice time during the week.
- 5/5
The food was amazing!!
- 5/5
Also most hotels stopped having variety in mini bars, and the snacks and beverage options were amazing and actually affordable. 10/10 and would stay again if in the area.
- 5/5
The restaurant was AWESOME, wish I had eaten there more nights. I will return.
- 5/5
Excellent stay.
- 5/5
Close to the beach
- 5/5
Everyone was kind and helpful, the room was clean and the vibes were immaculate. Parking lot was small but was able to find parking after a couple minutes.
- 5/5
Loved the stay. Super comfortable bed. Right across from the water.
- 5/5
The staff is extraordinary! So friendly, so welcoming! Just stayed a quick night before a cruise but would definitely go back! Music, pool, great vibe!
- 5/5
Cool property and friendly staff!
- 5/5
Clean room. Informative staff. Great food at The Fancy restaurant. Will stay again
- 4.5/5
The property was in a nice location, with the beach directly across the street. Made for beautiful sun rises! It was a little far from the “downtown” festivities, but there is a scooter rental place practically next door. It’s very “local” orientated, with food, coffee, drinks, etc coming from the local market. And the staff is amazing! So helpful and friendly. Great stay! Location is a little far from the pier but there’s a scooter rental place a block over.

- 3/5
Honestly not trying to be mean. But it was not the best experience.
- 2/5
Pillowcase was dirty, you can hear everything from surrounding rooms, no elevator, just wasn’t ideal
- 5/5
We went to the hotel and saw the outside and eh wasn’t impressed but went inside and BEAUTIFUL! I said this outside does not do your hotel justice but they have good bones. Staff was amazing! Room was modern
- 1/5
Way over priced
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
The hotel is DARLING! Staff so kind and accommodating. Room was well appointed (art cute! Beds comfortable!) loved the vintage bathroom feel and all the tile work around and the lounge was stellar. Beautiful. Welcoming. But not overboard- it’s accessible to everyone. We are at the restaurant twice (I never do that at a hotel usually) it was delicious. We stayed over a cold snap and the pool wa heated so we were still able to swim. Everything was just lovely. Made my 13yo daughter’s birthday so special. I almost forgot that we came on a wellness weekend and were able to enjoy a few of the classes. There’s a wonderful community of people in Galveston. We really loved everything about it. Gold stars all around.
- 5/5
Staff is great, room is clean. Restaurant food was good but pricy and the hotel needs a refresh.
- 5/5
Adorable hotel!
- 5/5
Rohan was very accommodating and kind.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, staff was very helpful and nice.
- 4/5
The hotel has been refurbished and is now having very good interiors and exterior also. The location is amazing as it’s 5 mins walk to beach. There is a e bike place right next to the hotel. The main strip is accessible by foot or by Ebike from the hotel. Main qualms about the hotel is that floor is not carpeted, the WiFi is not stable, the rooms have very little space to walk if we spread the luggage around, and there are no options in the restaurant for vegan people apart from just fruit bowl. Ample parking everywhere around the hotel except the back parking in cutting into a back road which is not safe for truck parking. It may be good only for small cars.
- 3/5
Not a place to get a peaceful sleep. No complentery breakfast.
- 3/5
Basically a remodeled Motel 8. No elevator and overpriced. No coffee in room. Clean but not worth the price ($180+ a night). Parking is very tight. Far from amenities. People are very nice. Just not up to our standards.
- 4/5
We thought the room wasn't going to get warm. Took forever to warm up.
- 4/5
Lobby was pretty and staff very helpful. We thought the room wasn't going to get warm. Took forever to warm up.
- 5/5
Love it
- 3/5
Old and very basic. Concrete floor in the room. No elevator to the upper floor. More of a motel than a hotel. Definitely not worth the price. I had a room booked for February that I cancelled. I am not a fan of this motel.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 2/5
The hotel does not provide the customary cable. It has a service called cast that mirrors your phone. I think I understand that, but I can’t believe everyone does. There was no television connection the whole stay. We were there over Thanksgiving weekend and had wanted to watch a big football game. There was no coffee pot in the room and when my husband went to get coffee, our last warning, there were two other people standing with empty cups waiting because the hotel had not remembered to put coffee on. This was at 8:30 AM on a Sunday morning. The room did not even offer a chair to sit in. There was room for a chair and small table, but none was provided. You just can’t put lipstick on a pig.
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean and didn't have carpet for dirt/sand to hide in. They have snacks and drinks in the rooms. The housekeepers were quick and efficient at getting our room clean while we were out. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
Great place, decorated so cute!
- 5/5
This was my first visit. I was really pleased with the Hotels design and retro feel. It reminded me of the iconic motels of 1960 California. I am 73 so those places were special. I hope to stay here often.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Very beautiful hotel. Casey was very kind.
- 5/5
The room was so cute and clean. Friendly staff
- 3/5
TV service was limited! Also, we did not get a free breakfast. We paid quite a bit for it!
- 5/5
Staff was so nice and let us check in extra early!
- 5/5
Excellent stay!
- 5/5
This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The staff was amazing the design was gorgeous. I can't wait to go back!
- 5/5
nice employees. good locations. easy and free parking. only negative is no bathtub in room
- 3/5
Before our stay, we were contacted by the Hotel to bid on ab upgrade to a larger room with a view. My bid was accepted and I paid for the upgrade at check in. When we arrived, our room was not ready, so we walked a bit came back 30 minutes later and our room was still not ready. My husband and I sat in the lobby for a while, watching other folks receive their keys. We felt invisible as the staff seemed to notice us at all. When I approached the staff at reception, it was discovered that the room was still not ready. We eventually received our keys at 4:30. My husband was disappointed at the view in our upgraded room which overlooked the roof of the outdoor seating. Overall, the experience was not what I expected.
- 4/5
Clean the chip grout from the bathrooms. Replace the lswitches and faces for whatever switch that’s that at the very top of the wall. Clean the room floors or reepoxy them. Your rooms don’t come close the scale of hotel you are trying to portray.
- 5/5
Fine
- 5/5
This is a great hotel for anyone wanting to visit Galveston. If you pass by it may seem like an old hotel, but what they have done with the remodel is truly amazing. We will be back.
- 5/5
The staff were really friendly, but not the most responsive/attentive. Very friendly, though!
- 5/5
Excellent service from m everyone! The design and quality of everything was amazing. This one of the best hotel stays I've had
- 5/5
A very nice experience, very different from other hotels in the area. Very pleasant
- 5/5
Very pet friendly and had a hip feel to the property. Excellent food in the bar and cafe. Will be back for sure.
- 5/5
Room clean and a/c worked great. Had dinner at The Fancy and afternoon cocktails at The Rooftop Bar - service and food was excellent at both places. Staff was very friendly. Will come back!

Great place for short visit to the beach. Great deck overlooks Ng the beach
- 5/5
This place is superb! Nice cozy place. The food and service top notch. Bartender upstairs was very friendly and very good. Its now one of my favorite places to visit in Galveston and that means alot as we frequent Galveston.
- 4/5
We had dinner at the Fancy and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fried Vermillion Snapper was excellent. The rooftop bar is a wonderful place to view the coast. Coffee in the morning was lacking. Happy hour drink prices were the same as regular prices.

On the quieter end of the Galveston Seawall, so there were fewer restaurants within walking distance...but it was quieter and had a LOT less traffic than other hotels we've stayed at on the Seawall. We'll take that tradeoff any day of the week.
- 4/5
The only negative, which is of no fault of anyone is that it can still be a little noisy. Woke up to a baby crying, other occupants’ entire conversations, and another room’s alarm going off. And if there is heavy traffic and maintenance going on you can still hear everything. So, I just put on my headphones. The evening was quiet. Room is comfortable. And still got a good night’s sleep. The location is great and the roof top bar offers great views.
- 4/5
The outside looked a bit sketchy
- 5/5
Excellent breakfast! I didn't like the lack of an elevator, but I managed. Great food and pool! I would definitely stay on the ground floor next time, but that's just my preference. My husband liked the second floor. Access to the beach is great. A little bit more parking would be great. The parking is minimal, but that can be rectified. The rooftop bar got a little rowdy after 9:00. The younger people, about a dozen twenty somethings, came in and it got loud, but quieted down in an hour. We are older, and prefer a quieter experience. But the boisterousness didn't last long. We were there for our anniversary, so we wanted a little more peace and quiet.

Billing with hotels.com was also unclear and I was billed an extra for resort fees and booking fees after the fact. A 1 night stay was over $300 which was not worth it.
- 4/5
Good spot. Cute decor. Clean. Bed was comfy. Room a bit sparse on storage but has most of what you need. People were nice, service good and great for quick eats, drinks. Music on the roof bar was fun. Definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Boutique hotel with nice common areas like lobby, bar and pool. It would be nice if the same attention was put into the rooms though. The rooms are quite small with no seating other than the bed and no where to hang wet suits and towels unless you had one of the few balcony rooms. I like that they keep some of the vintage feel but there are many signs of wear, especially in the bathroom. The rooms upstairs seem to be a bit bigger (we stayed downstairs and friends stayed upstairs).
- 5/5
I booked this spot as a mini dog vacation for my boys, and everything exceeded expectations. The attention to detail and friendliness of the staff were impeccable. The food was outstanding—the fish sandwich is an absolute must-try! The location is perfect, right across from the beach and easy to find. The vibe is quaint yet modern, with a stylish California-inspired décor that makes it feel fresh and inviting. Truly a gem in Galveston!
- 1/5
The room did not match your description. It was the second Worst room I have ever had. Noway you could have rated it high. I have to wonder about your app
- 5/5
Excelente opción para compartir con amigos familia o pareja. La habitación muy bonita decorada y muy limpia. La piscina estupenda el bar el restaurante un 1000/10 para este hotel.
- 5/5
Gorgeous property ! A beautiful little boutique Hotel !!
- 3/5
The remodeled motel is very cutely themed with mid century modern decor that gives it all the cute points. However, the floors are painted concrete which is dented and cracked with no rug. There was old dirty caulk and grime at the base of the walls. My toilet was very crooked. The staff didn’t know if there was a WiFi password and didn’t get up to help me. They told me to call the desk from my room but I never found a phone in my room. I had to pay a resort fee but it is not a resort. The hotel restaurant was closed both days I stayed. With everything being concrete, other guests were very loud and I could feel other doors slam as I was in the bed. I did not sleep well. The beach was right across the street and access was convenient. Overall I’d say it was just OK.
- 5/5
CHARMING boutique hotel! Friendly staff, special touches throughout!
- 1/5
Was the worse ever. Not even a rug in the room. Gross
- 5/5
Hidden gem - been coming to Galveston for years. First time at Lucine and we will be back. Great vibes, great views (upstairs bar/patio, the pool is awesome, mid-century decor) and a great stay!
- 5/5
Very Nice!
- 5/5
An old motel got a glow up. Comfy beds, across from the beach and life music on the weekends.
- 5/5
The hotel is a lovely but the rooms are getting a bit worn. The beds are comfortable; the food and beverage are thoughtful and on point. We wish there was a chair in the room. We've stayed here several times, we highly recommend it, and love the hotel vibe. The staff is wonderful.
- 5/5
Food was outstanding and staff were the best.
- 4/5
Very cute property - loved the overall vibe. Some areas are needing some updates/paint. The rooms are tiny, but comfortable beds. The bathroom could have been cleaner. There was a seashell on the floor when we arrived. The staff is amazing - super friendly and helpful!
- 3/5
No parkings
- 5/5
I loved the cozy feel to it. Aesthetics were top tier. Definitely a vibe for a little getaway.
- 3/5
Not as shown in photos. Poorly renovated, dirty.
- 5/5
Hotel Lucine is a small boutique hotel which caters to everyone. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is very well staffed and the service was wonderful. The Fancy restaurant has a wonderful fine-ish menu. Well done.
- 1/5
$530 per night for a Motel in a bad area. If your not into the bar scene with non-motel guest then your wasting your time and lots of money
- 4/5
nice place to stay
- 4/5
Excellent stay
- 3/5
Just ok - like most of the other options in Galveston.
- 5/5
My family and I decided to come into Galveston a day early and booked this little gem on a whim. Best decision ever! This was the cutest little boutique hotel. I truly wish our stay was longer. The staff was all extremely friendly, helpful and really made us feel welcome/ especially after a long day of travel with two kiddos. We loved the fact that there was a restaurant and bar - it was a win, win! Dinner and drinks! Happy adults, happy kids. The pool area was the cutest. Literally something out of a vintage magazine. The room was super cute too and very clean! Would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
The Pool was not totally clean water mercy and poll tile around the pool grease not very clean.Rhe hotel looks really cute inside and it gives a relaxing feeling.Staff super nice from front desk to restaura bar etc, we enjoy it, super close to everything.
- 5/5
Fabtastic getaway!
- 5/5
Our second stay and we will return. Great staff (Miller around the pool was very polite and attentive). Check in was excellent. Very friendly and let us check in early and hang out at the pool.
- 3/5
Whoever designed the property knocked it out of the park. Wonderful details in bathrobes, dishes in the restaurant, all harmonize. The place is really well done-rooms very comfortable- all open onto the pool. High end amenities and fancy mini bar selections. Standard rooms do not have coffee-so glad there's a robe in the room because I'm just wearing it onto the lobby barefoot to get my two cups of coffee. Really? All this effort into creating the vibe-and then-no coffee in standard rooms. Free in the lobby until 10-so grab your robe and go get some.
- 1/5
Horrible
- 5/5
Great hidden gem once inside..
- 5/5
Amazing place definitely I will come back ❤️
- 5/5
The outside look old, but the inside is renovated and beautiful
- 4/5
Remodeled motel. Cute vibe. Love the upstairs bar and lounge area overlooking the beach.
- 4/5
Don’t let the outside fool you, there is a paradise inside. Love this hotel. Perfect for a couples getaway or a girls trip.
- 5/5
Room was pretty okay, the floors are a little dusty but fine. Overall good stay.
- 1/5
Then our room wasn’t available for some odd reason so they had to give us a handicap accessible room because that’s all they had. Shower pissed me off. And the water wouldn’t even get hot. Our room was right by the pool and it was so loud. Pool was supposed to close at 10 but they were being loud out there until well after 11. Paid so much money for me and my daughter to have a nice little trip and we basically spent our money on an overhyped MOTEL. Trash. Don’t waste your money.
- 5/5
On the negative, parking a full size truck can be a real squeeze as the lot is real small and limited availability. Also room 112 is a poor choice so avoid it if you can. The back locked gate is big and metal. so every in and out makes a LOUD slam which you will hear and feel in the room. esp bad in the AM as people check out .... slam ... slam ... slam there will be no sleeping in!
- 5/5
Wet beautiful and chic
- 4/5
Great location and quaint small rooms. Staff members were a rude. I felt like I was in an episode of Portlandia.
- 4/5
I didn’t give a 5 star because there was no parking available. I had to park a block and a half away
- 1/5
I spent nearly a week there and spend $1,000 in accommodations, another 1K on food and beverage. I was wonderful to the staff, I tipped the staff generously and pre-cleaned my room. My husband and I conserve towels too, we are very high-quality guests, I tried TWICE to resolve the billing while I was at the property but I couldn't get someone with authority at the desk at 6 am. Now I can't get anyone to help me on the phone. What a tragic and petty disappointment to an otherwise wonderful stay. Shame on you, Hotel Lucine.
- 3/5
Cute redesign and great staff with creative but poorly executed menu items. Rooms are small and there aren’t enough amenities for the price point.
- 5/5
Hidden gem
- 5/5
The property was clean, and the staff was extremely helpful. Their customer service is consistently excellent as well. The restaurant is among the best I’ve tried, feeling like a Michelin-star restaurant.
- 5/5
We love this very cool boutique joint! Great room and the staff was so much fun!
- 4/5
Is clean, the staff is very nice, maybe they should offer more dining options.
- 3/5
This hotel had a cute restaurant, pool and rooftop bar, but everything else was just okay. The area around the hotel is not the best.
- 4/5
Charming little hotel right on the Seawall. Food was good, drinks were good, but parking is terrible.
- 5/5
The boutique type feel of it and wonderful staff. I hope to return there many times.
- 5/5
Hotel Lucine is truly a gem in Galveston! I’ve been wanting to stay here ever since they opened 2 years ago, and it fully lived up to my expectations. We had exceptional service from everyone we encountered and enjoyed relaxing on the covered paseo even when it was storming outside. Their happy hour deals cannot be beat, and the view from the rooftop is stunning at sunset! Additional highlights were the lovely Grown Alchemist soaps and lotions in the room (showing the details were thought out down to the amenities) and the toasted blueberry muffin off The Den’s menu. I already can’t wait to return and stay again!
- 3/5
I had a nice time at this hotel because I was in good company, but the actual hotel was a disappointment. This is not a 4 star hotel. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything from your hotel room. The pool is cloudy and dirty, and the service is terrible. We had 2 meals comped from the slow service. Will not be returning.
- 5/5
It's is fun and kitschy in a fab way. Would definitely stay again. Pool looks magical at night.
- 2/5
Parking was horrendous upon arrival, it’s so narrow if you drive a bigger vehicle it’s almost impossible to navigate. We ate dinner from their all day menu in the lobby since they didn’t have any high chairs in the restaurant and I have 2 babies. A big flying cockroach crawled by our table but they did send someone to come kill it. After dinner I asked for a cart to unload my car and they don’t have any carts. They said they would help but ultimately, nobody helped. After making 10 trips back and forth to the car, we went to the lobby to ask for 2 sets of extra sheets and blankets for the babies playpens and they told us no. They don’t supply guests with any extra sheets or blankets. I have NEVER heard that from a hotel. The only positive things about this hotel is the pink bathroom, the coffee and the barista who makes the coffee. 💁♀️ the rest of it sucks. Respectfully.
- 4/5
Location is great if you want easy access to the beach. Staff was very helpful and nice. Very convenient to have restaurant on site. Roof top deck was lovely to have a drink and take in the view.
- 1/5
Not a good experience. At check-in, I arrived at 3:30 PM only to be told to sit in the lobby because they were cleaning the room still. When the check-in attendant went to check on my room I asked to go with her. It was a dark moldy-smelling room with absolutely no views at all underneath a stairwell in a corner. I had a view of a rusty air conditioning grate out the window, and the bars on the door to the parking lot in front of my door. The room smelled like mold and Pine-Sol. Ugly cement floors. I asked if there was a different room and was told there was not. The staff couldn't have cared any less. We left and did not stay. $300 flushed down the toilet.I do not understand all of the positive ratings of this hotel. In 56 years and as a lifelong Houstonian this is the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They seemed genuinely happy to see and assist us. Hotel is within walking distance of the beach. The hotel bar overlooks the beach and ocean providing a nice place to hangout.

Great place and fits right in with the Galveston vibe

We had planned to just eat at The Fancy that evening and enjoy the hotel. We were then tthe Fancy was closed as was the upstairs rooftop area because of the wedding. We tried to go upstairs to get drinks and were quickly told they were hosting a wedding. The entire lobby and poolside deck area were also not available due to the wedding. Why are we staying here if we don’t have access to any of the hotel amenities. My friends were all upset but we had no other choice but to stay. They did offer to treat us to brunch which was good and offered to reimburse us 15% of our room. Rooms are cute, the brunch and coffee at The Fancy were good, cocktails were good but super expensive the pool looked very dirty. We will not be back and sadly would not recommend this place. If you have a wedding booked then you should block the entire hotel or at least give customers a heads up that nothing will be available for them to use even though you are paying for it. This place is not cheap & were so excited because it looked fun and cute for a girls trip. Never got reimbursed for part of the room. Super disappointing!

Cool atmosphere but not impressed by room. Floor was sandy and shower drain clogged. When having questions about the bill staff member was not the friendliest

Very well kept 1960's era hotel with pool, restaurant, and open air bar on the upper deck overlooking the gulf. Does not have elevator. Stairs for 2nd floor access. Quick 2 minute walk to access the beach from the hotel at the traffic light. Convenient location far enough from traffic congestions but close proximity to various types of restaurants, historic museums, aquarium attractions, Pleasure Pier, gift shops, Walmart, Sports Academy, etc.

The staff are the most amazing people that truly love their jobs and working with one another.

Horrible service

The hotel was nicely renovated, very clean, rooms are nice. I love the upstairs patio and bar area. The pool area was cute and quiet. My only complaint is the noise level on the first floor rooms and the curtains could’ve been better. I would try again but only on the 2nd floor!

Great place to stay on the beach

There was also a leak in the sink in my room so I was not able to use it when trying to get ready for a day out. The rooftop bar was really nice! I would go back for the food and drinks, just not likely to stay there again.

Overall, my daughters and I enjoyed the hotel. It's in a great location and has a cool vibe. Room we stayed in was pretty standard and the only room type available when I booked. It was located on the first floor in front of the pool, adjacent to the courtyard. A HUGE negative of this room location is the noise. The hotel starts blasting music around 8:00 a.m. each morning in the courtyard area, even if it's completely empty. We could hear this music clearly enough in our room to make out the words. It plays ALL day so forget sleeping in or taking an afternoon nap. It was beyond annoying. Also, the cleaning ladies are ridiculously loud with their chatting, laughing and door in the mornings...it's as if they're trying to wake people up so they will clear out of the rooms. Again, very annoying. The hotel is cute, the lobby area is cute and the upstairs bar area is a great place to chill but Hotel Lucine really needs to address these noise issues because they can most certainly ruin the stay experience. I will most likely stay here again but will make sure to book a room only on the second floor and away from the courtyard area...of course I know this type of room will certainly cost more. I feel they use the rooms on the first floor by the court yard as the "bargain" rooms...and trust me, we got what we paid for.

Staff was exceptionally warm and friendly, the property is really cute. Very sort of mid century inspired, lots of playful colors and designs. Beds are comfortable, food was good. Everything was clean, but the paint was peeling in my room. Being so close to the gulf, these things happen so I wasn't that off put by it, and the room was still an excellent price for what I got.

An excellent experience, beautiful property, friendly staff and a very eclectic vibe. 10 out of 10. Would definitely return

Was a cute little family stay but I feel it was a little run down already compared to the photos. For instance the walls in our room were scratched up. Pulling up to the hotel it’s also not as pretty and was concerning looking seeing doors that are no longer useable. I think it the doors were plastered over it would look a lot cleaner.

Very close to the Seawall and great hostess

We spent one night at Lucine prior to our cruise. Room was clean and staff very helpful. It was right on the gulf with easy access to restaurants along Seawall Blvd. There wasn't really a place to sit in the room, but a large, covered courtyard with plenty of seating as well as a lounge area was convenient. I would recommend staying here to others.

Walls are thin and I could hear my neighbor snoring. I couldn't get the water in my room to be hot.
