    We opened our room once we checked in and found two dead roaches on the floor and a large stain in the carpet, the staff was nice and gave us another room as requested. Second room had no coffee and toilet seat was very loose. I had stayed in a lot of holiday inns and I hate to safe this was the worst experience over all. Staff was nice

    I have stayed at this hotel two times before, The first time It was terrible and we swore we would never stay there again. The second time I didn't check locations and the hotel had changed names , it was equally as terrible! this time I wasn't going to be fooled again so I looked for a Holiday Inn. Imagine my wife and I surprise when it was this hotel! she was not happy with me until we actually went in. Apparently Holiday Inn bought the hotel ,remodeled it and now I would stay again! They have done a terrific job of making it new and its still a good price.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Check-out was also a breeze. I highly recommend this hotel. The only issue was that we had to grab an uber to go and eat supper

    At first entrance place was cleaned but odor of cleaning products was very strong! I noticed that at check in the other families were offered cookies for their stay but me with my 2 small kids weren’t- also I was the only one in line that had to fill out a vehicle info card. We only stayed one night so it was not bad. Accessibile to nearby attractions like Moody Gardens!

    No bath towels wasn’t notified about it until I needed them had to purchase my own . The door wouldn’t lock and wouldn’t stay shut the additional lock at the top had to keep it shut the phone in the room did not open. I expressed this to the hotel and they refused for me to get a refund or another room .

    This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at . Stayed for one night before our cruise the next day . Our first room was disgustingly dirty and the AC was broken . I mean hair all over our bedding , counters and bathroom area with hair everywhere and dust piled on . We requested to change rooms and got another dirty room that had thick dust buildup on the toilet and counters and hair everywhere , also gross dirty handprints on everything . And our bathroom door barely opened , I’m serious we had to suck in and squeeze through . It made my skin crawl , do not stay here .

    There is only 1 elevator for entire hotel. Elevator was out of order. We were on the 3rd floor. I am in a large knee brace on my left leg, staff did not care. I was miserable. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone with any type of disability.

    Check in staff was great but the morning lady was another story . Coffee was cold and she had a bad attitude and this happened at 8:05 am . She acted like it was my fault that she wasn’t prepared for breakfast. When I say breakfast I just wanted a cup of hot coffee . If you don’t like people . You shouldn’t be in the service industry.

    I would like a call back from upper management not the staff management. Advertisement it is misleading you will think it is the one off the Seawall. When you walk in it is a bad smell that is not right. When checking the staff was very unprofessional just did not care about your concerns. When I booked it said you could not get your money back! Beware! That means the property has issues. I payed descent amount of money and I regret it badly it was my anniversary and it felt like traumatic experience. When I got to the room there was a ring around the tub and hair in it. The bathroom was just horrible and a nightmare. The bed sheets were not changed and had stains all over them. No one even offer to call anyone at that point someone should have said money back or maybe there is a better room. The gentleman when we were checking out told us he had four complaints already about the rooms and they need to fire house keeping because there is too many complaints. Expedia needs to take this Holiday Inn off their website. Just do not go unless it is your last choice. I went to Houston and I got a better room the same night!

    I didn’t like anything about this hotel. Unfriendly staff, careless manager, no response to any complaints about my room. No cold water, kids and i had to use only hot water in this summer. Weird smell when entering the main lobby or the rooms. Bathroom lock broken. Hooks taken out from bathroom door. Fridge one leg broken. No quarters in exchange of my cash to use in laundry. Iron wire ripped in between. And most important, no house keeping, or picking trash from rooms, or putting more clean towels unless it's your 3rd day of stay.

    Checking in was nice. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. The room was clean, however the amenities were lacking. No shampoo in the dispenser, the hair dryer was unattached from the wall with the front missing and exposed. Unfortunately breakfast isn’t a part of the price we paid, and we were informed they didn’t know how to check if we had it with our room. The price we paid for should’ve included the cost of $11.99/person. Holiday Inn used to be known for their great showers, not this one. Hardly any heat or pressure came from the shower, again goes back to what we paid should’ve been top notch. No plastic laundry bag. It may sound petty, but if I pay over $250 plus a $75 room deposit that I don’t get for 7-10 business days, then give me what I’m paying for. A nice stay, not some motel 6 experience, which is just right down the road, maybe next time that’s where I’ll stay and won’t be disappointed.

    I specifically chose this hotel due to it having a restaurant and bar. When we arrived, we found that it was closed due to understaffing. (The cook had to get rooms ready & they sent the bartender home before dinner bc it was slow. This was a Friday night- the night before several cruises were to depart the next day! At least 10 people were waiting for a cook/bartender to show up). No one had transportation bc we had all ubered in from the airport. We bought overpriced, stale bags of chips from the front desk. Breakfast was to be included the reservation. Again, I chose this hotel for that reason. We were told it was not on the reservation & we needed to pay $11 each, as it was not included. Highly disappointed & will not utilize this hotel again even though it’s close to the cruise port.

    Pls don’t go to this hotel. The room was so dirty when we checked in at 5 pm. The beds were not tucked in like it’s suppose to. The restroom had pubic hair. I was so uncomfortable, unhappy, and disgusted. The pics on the website looked decent and modern but this place is not well maintained at all. It was honestly the worst experience and left a bitter impression. It was also our first time at Galveston Texas and so disappointed that we experienced this as first timers. I don’t think we will ever go back to Galveston because of this.

    If it wasn’t for the front desk staff I would have not stayed all three nights. But the staff made it better. Had to switch rooms cause the first room was not cleaned, but the second room was good. The downstairs area smelled moldy, but our room was fine. The restaurant and bar was barely open at all over the entire weekend.

    It was okay not somewhere I will stay again. Front desk staff was nice but didn’t acknowledge me when I walked in. They were having a personal conversation. As for as the cleanliness it could have been better. I really liked Sandra I believe that is her name at the front desk.

    Bit disappointed as the bar was not open on the first evening we were there and only open until about 8:30 the next evening. We booked it as it advertised as having a bar. No other facilities around so had to Uber into Galveston on both days. Hotel room was large and comfortable although shower gel or shampoo containers were empty and no house keeping during our stay.

    We go back down stairs and the manager gave us another room key. We went to that room and it was about 78* in that room and the air conditioner was set on 66. We called the front desk. The manager brought a third room key up to a room at the end of the hall. We noticed that the door to this room was very dusty like it had not been used or cleaned in a long time. We went inside and the air conditioner worked so we went to bed due to being exhausted. Early the next morning, we discovered why the door was dusty. A work crew was working in a near by room so we were awakened by the sounds of hammering and drills. The day shift manager could not give us a discount due to me booking the room through Expedia but, he did create me a rewards account and put points on it so we can use them if we stay there again. (Probably will never use them)

    The employees were nice. The property was okay. My phone did not work in the room, when I told the staff they automatically knew what room it was. It had a black line in the TV. They also charge my room when buying things are getting breakfast, even though I told them to charge my card to the room. I called up there after everything was said and done. Payment was taken. They still charged me to my room didn’t charge my card. I paid more than I should have thinking that I paid for my card. I talk to somebody. They said that they were going to have Manager call me. It’s been four days since the manager was supposed to call me. I’m not going to chase after $40 which I should because it is my money but it’s in a different state and I don’t feel like going back-and-forth over the phone probably not gonna get my money back! I never give out bad reviews and I hate to do it, but I do work for customer service. That is one of my main jobs and I know how it is to deal with customers and have customers as priority one. But it seems as if they don’t care about customers.

    When we got in our room we didnt have a tv box so we couldn't watch tv. When we did get one it wasnt hooked up correctly so we weren't able to watch tv. There was a moldy smell and the bed is not your typical king sized bed, it is smaller. Its not worth the price. I didnt feel like i was at an IHG hotel.

    Aesthetics are much better! However, they stopped allowing cruise parking as of 2/13/25. This was one of the main reasons I chose to stay at this location. The manager allowed us to park this one time only, which was very kind of them to make an exception. Additionally, when we tried to check in, my reservation was cancelled. Luckily they had availability so we were able to rebook. I have say I was really pleased with how the staff was able to work with me on the issues we had! Very professional!

    This property was fine, and just fine. The breakfast was a basic continental breakfast (actually smaller than most we've stayed at recently) for $11.99 a person. The drinks located in the lobby were $4 each. Check in was slow even though we were the only people. Our key didn't work the second day and the wait was long even though we were again the only people. I would stay there again if I was in the area, but I wouldn't seek it out when looking for a location. We travel often and stay in the same places repeatedly when it's great. This is not one of the great places, it was just okay.

    Apparently anytime after 7:00 a.m. they're free too start construction was rudely awakened at 8:30 in the morning to hammering and power tools in the room next door. No forewarning when I checked in. Very rude way to wake up and treat guests. Call the front desk and they inform me quiet hours in at 7:00 a.m. and then willing to do anything about it. Said they would leave word with management but highly doubt it.

    There was no hot water and the excuse was they said they're other people in the hotel using the water at the sane time so i said really because my wife tried taking a shower at 4:00 am and no hot water then i woke up at 8:00 am and still no hot water . I believe they knew this they just tell excuses. I will never stay here again

    Briana was not friendly at all in the front desk. She clearly didn’t care about her job from her facial expression. She wasn’t attentive at all when we first tried checking in, as she hid behind the counter in the staff break room.
