All was great the room was of nice size , breakfast was great ,good variety ,and the staff kept everything tidy, and refilled the food when needed, we enjoyed our stay all I would change would be that specification on charging for parking would be in description I didnt see that, unless I overlooked it other than that I would stay here again 😀

The hotel was perfectly located for our large family before our cruise departure. With a Walmart just across the street we were able to pick up some last minute items. Breakfast was good and saved us time and money.

The staff were friendly, efficient, and professional. The rooms were clean and roomy and the breakfast buffet offered something for everyone. The location is conviently within walking distace of restaurants and shopping. Will definitely recommend to others and plan to stay there when I return to Galveston

Lucy and Samantha (dogs) approved. It was their very first beach vacay stay. The staff was very communicative! Breakfast was fresh! Room was clean, handicapped accessible room was actually accessible! They were doing some work when we arrived on our floor. It was our first stay at Hampton. Great location close to beach and Walmart and restaurants. Only reason I didn't give it a 5-star was the other guest! Kids running above us and music blaring 3-4 in morning. The carnival cruise started early for them.

It was one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had at an hotel . The location, the room and staff were all amazing.

Room looked clean, but when I spilled my drink in the tiled entrance to the room, I found that the floor wasn't very clean. The towel I used to wipe it up was very dirty, and it was not my clear drink! Make sure you wear thongs or have slippers. Otherwise, my stay was fine. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hope this review alerts future travelers. It seems this is becoming hotel industry policy so be on the alert. It seems fees will be waived if customer complains.

Our room did not look out over the ocean but we could see a little bit of it by looking over to our left. The room was very clean, the bed was comfy.

Our room had a weird smell to it - like someone had pets stay in the room and the carpet needed to be cleaned. We lost power in the middle of the night with no explanation. Our power was off for several hours, and neither our air conditioning nor our CPAP machines could run. I understand that things happen, but some explanation or acknowledgment of the issue would have been appropriate and appreciated. Disappointed in this particular Hampton Inn.

This is a really nice hotel. We stayed here prior to a cruise and the room was very spacious, everything was clean and bright. No issues. The front desk person was very friendly. About a 20 minute drive to the cruise terminals. Would stay here again.

Breakfast menu was very nice. No I did not have a room with a view, but my room was very nice and comfortable.

We liked the balcony with ocean view. The springs in the bed made noise when sitting or moving, disturb your sleep while turning.

Food was delicious and loved my view on the beach from the 5th floor also loved the welcome message on the TV made me feel special in a good way.

Room was not as advertised. There were several bugs, including cockroaches in our room and the room our friend stayed in. Breakfast was mediocre and I found a hair in my oatmeal on day one. Pool was freezing cold and the hot tub was broken which was not communicated until we arrived. The staff was mediocre as well. I asked for a pack and play for our baby thinking they would bring it to our room but instead I had to lug it up with pillows and blankets as well. Nobody was going out of their way to be helpful. Would not stay here again.

Everything was great! My daughter and granddaughter were with me. We had a king bed and sofa sleeper. The sofa sleeper wasn’t very comfortable but we layered a few blankets and it was fine. But the room itself had a vanity with a sink outside the bathroom as well as in the bathroom so it was great for 3 women.

Very quiet but near the seawall. If you stay on the seawall, it can get loud. Our room was clean and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Would highly recommend. This was also a spring break weekend but you wouldn't know it. Staff was very courteous and helpful.

There were multiple issues with the room from the door plate falling off, the shower curtain rod hanging out of the wall , the hotel phone had severed cords, the TV volume couldn't be turned up, the blinds didn't work and there were two broken lamps that were dusty

Things didn't start out all that great on this hotel stay, but they made it right. The bathroom had several issues. The staff reached out to us and asked if everything was ok, so i let them know. Inside of an hr, all issues were resolved, and the next two days were fine.

Staff was great when we arrived. When we got to room, the restroom was not cleaned from previous guest. Called front desk, lady acted like i was crazy but would send someone up. Explained we were going to leave and they could come in room while we were gone. When we returned, trash was emptied but towel and wash cloth remained on the floor along with soap from previous guest. Went down to front desk with a pocture on my phone.. she said she would send someone up. I said no put us in a different room. Eyes rolling and plenty of attitude she moved us.

Room was very large, pet friendly with dog disposal bags provided on property, complimentary breakfast was excellent every day! Loved the hot food options, especially the little omelets and waffles.

The lady at check-in was rude and didn't help at all. She asked for my driver's license first thing but I guess that was protocall because she did not use it. She said we had the room scheduled for two nights but I had only booked one night. From that point forward she could do nothing for us. I had booked through Expedia.com and even showed her the print out. All she would say was I needed to call Expedia to work it out. I got frustrated and paid for two nights. After a discussion with the manager it was discovered the lady had pulled up my last name of Watson but did not bother looking at my license for my first name. It was bad enough to have made the error but all would have been fine if she would have tried to fix the issue. The manager found the issue and got the refund for us. Everything from the manager on went smoothly but you know what they say about first impressions.

the property was easily accessible to the beach, Wal-Mart, and Seawall Blvd. There are a lot of restaurants on Seawall Blvd and the Galveston Convention Center is within walking distance of the hotel. Parking is $10/daily, and there is a snack area near the front desk. The snacks are a bit pricey but I was hungry so I had to grab something to eat. The room was nice. I had a double bed; the room was nice and spacious but lighting was an issue. There were two lights in between the beds but there wasn't a desk lamp so I had to depend on the natural lighting or distance lights to allow me to work on my computer. The bathroom was really nice and it looked as though there were some recent updates. The water was extremely hot (which is a good thing) and the pressure was good. I had an issue with the cleanliness of the shower though because there was hair left in the shower which tells me that it was not cleaned thoroughly. I was only there for one night and I slept pretty good. There was a slight stench, odor, smell coming from the carpet which was a little annoying but I made it through the night. the tv had plenty of channels to choose from and there was a fridge and microwave in the room as well. The hotel was a cheaper option but I was still satisfied with the exception of the "unclean" shower. 3/5 stars.

The bed was old and worn-out, everytime you moved the bed would creak. Did not get housekeeping because apparently if you stay more than 1 day they only service your room ever other day! That was very unacceptable because we spent our days at the beach and brought in sand. Of course we needed clean towels and sheets. Problems with the room above with kids jumping and stomping. I had to go to the service desk 3 times before it calmed down. Only to continue through the night and next morning. Hampton Inn is our go to lodging but i believe we probably could find something better from now on. T

Property is easy walk to beach. Possible to rent umbrella and chair on the beach. It’s across the street from Walmart and 2 miles from Gumbo dinner which has to be one of the best places to eat in Galveston.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The mattress was firm but comfortable and the pillows were just right. I really appreciated the walk in shower as I sometimes have difficulty stepping over a tub. The only thing I was missing was an alarm clock or some kind of clock.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn in Galveston. It was conveniently located so we could get around easily and quickly. The parking was easy as well-nice to park in a garage considering the summer heat. Our room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. There was lots of counter space and also shelves to store toiletries, etc. We had a balcony with a view of the beach and could take a short walk to get there. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

Our stay here was great! the property was clean and the breakfast was great also. The parking in the garage was small and not many spots. We had to park outside behind the garage. I did feel my vehicle was still safe as it was still on there property just not in the garage. I'll definitely go back!

Our reservation was on the fourth floor – unfortunately I could hear everything in the room directly above my floor. It literally sounded like someone was rollerblading across the room, repeatedly for hours at 3 AM. I’ve never experienced being able to hear other guest on the above floor.

I liked everything about the property and my stay except for the fact that we were charged $15 to park in the garage of the hotel that we paid to stay at, and the tub was slow to drain. Otherwise it was excellent and the staff and food was amazing.

This hotel is right next to a Walmart and within walking distance from the beach. The pictures indicate you can see the beach from the hotel, this is not true. Breakfast was decent, beds were comfortable, water pressure was great. Overall, the hotel was pretty clean.

The continental breakfast was meek and cheap., dont get your hopes up. Coffee was hot. At 2 am in the morning the people above us started banging and stomping. That lasted for about an hour from what I could tell as they were taking showers. Asked for a late checkout due to us being unsure if we were staying another day for our softball tournament, we got an extra hour, tbh i was hoping for 1pm. Btw they dont tell you that parking is $15 per night thats not included in their stay prices. For the included price i could have booked a nicer hotel. Next time i will know the difference and will. The parking fee is a money grab, theyvarent that busy. I couls ubderstand if they were actually on the seawall.

I asked for my room to be cleaned but that didn't happen. Staff was not willing to provide towels. I had to go to the front desk and complain. She told me the have a every other day cleaning unless you ask which I did. We went to dinner and came back the room was somewhat clean. I

1) Staff was rude.2) shower floors were very slippery, reported to staff who couldn't have cared less, 3) staff didn't extend our stay as requested, they required us to return to the property to verify information they already had, interrupting our vacation, 4) pillows were terrible(requested 2 extra pillows, staff didn't bring to our room, I had to go back downstairs to request a 2nd time. We will never return to this property and will encourage family/friends to stay elsewhere!!

Great stay until the night before we left, wasn't the fault of the hotel though, we had an electrical wire that blew up on the street and knocked out all the power in the area for hours so we had no air conditioner or lights until 4 a.m. on Monday morning. Hotel was great an refunded us parking fee to compensate.

Its clean and reasonably priced. When I come to Galveston I bring my little dog and I stay here because its fog friendly. I have stayed here a couple of times.

The first room they gave us the carpet was wet. So they moved us to a different room.. the water pressures in the shower was so low. It was kinda hard to take a comfortable shower.. the showe knob also was missing a screw and fell off. The leave at the front help with as much as she could. Wasnt able to connect the ps5 to the tv for some reason. Pool/gym close too early.. breakfast was great!

We arrived at our room and saw the room looked clean, the bed was nicely made and clean. I went to the bathroom, and there was a pile of towels on the bathroom counter, I started putting them away and noticed there was a hand towel that look like it had pubic hair on it and had been used. When I put the bath towels up, a long, long black hair from a woman’s head was on the towel. What the Heck !!! There was black hair on the floor and in the sink. I clean it up . This will be the last time at this hotel. I am so tired of the cleaning staff in these hotels doing a half ass d job ! It is unsanitary.

Secondly, breakfast kind of sucked. Not a very good spread. Hamptons normally have a great food spread, my family exclusively used Hampton or Hilton for 15 plus years. Potatoes were gross. Chicken sausage was a patty and was dry. No bacon. No sausage links. No biscuits. Pastries were dry. Just not good.

Everything was good but they need to make sure the shampoo and the conditioner in the showers are full when they clean the rooms. Not convenient when your in the shower and they are both empty!
