It was close to the ocean It smelled of mildew. The toilet was loose from the floor. There was a wall cover that was bent and away from the wall. Not safe for if a child got curious.

My family and I enjoyed the pool and the balcony in our room. Water pressure in the shower was so low, and the beds are thin, hard, and uncomfortable. Pillows were nice and fluffy though.

The hotel smelled terrible. As soon as you walked through the door it smelt like mildew. The towels, the sheets. Everything just smelt awful. There was something spelt on the floor outside the elevator and the next morning it was still there. I feel like the facility could have been more kept.

Someone hit my vehicle and left while I was asleep, I parked by the entrance where the cameras can see me but they don’t work.

Noisy neighbors and the front desk didn't do anything about it.

Front desk & 3rd floor housekeeping staffs helpfulness was only bright part of stay. Had to move to another room because toilet was broken!! Over all few amenities in this place. In spite of its convenient location, poor internet reception takes this property off my list for future island stays.

Distort off the property was relatively clean. Now the room that we stayed in was relatively clean. The shower and sink water pressure was terrible. I could poured water on myself with more pressure to rinse off.. the staff was extremely rude when we brought up the problem. Now I’m not sure exactly what breakfast is supposed to look like but it is not just coffee juice and mini muffins. There was supposed to be a free continental breakfast. There was no breakfast. I’m sorry many muffins, coffee and juice. I spent on them $450 for the two nights this is unacceptable.

Nice property right near the Seawall. We booked last minute for a place to stay the night before our cruise. Perfect place to stay and they also offer cruise parking. I paid $50 at checkout for my 7 day cruise. Did have to get taxi/Uber to and from port but still cheaper than port parking. Looks like it was recently renovated so perfect if you're looking for a place to stay before your cruise. They didn't offer breakfast, believe they're currently renovating that part, but the staff mention something about pastries available in the morning but we were more concerned about getting to port so didn't even bother with that. Staff was friendly as well.

The hotel was amazing! My biggest issue: a complaint regarding my autistic grandson. 11pm, we got a knock on our door. Staff saying neighbors were complaining of a baby too loud. I repeated. I said "babies?"... we weren't partying, drinking, loud adults, loud tv, nothing... you're speaking of a special needs toddler. Rather than staff disregarding the complaint or explaining they're children, they made sure to inform us we had to quiet them down. Not very easy. I asked if we can get a refund and we would just leave. Nope, can't do that. So, I wouldn't say it's child friendly but you can be loud as u want if you're coming from the cruise and being drunk adults.

Turns out when we check it is says: No breakfast is served...to me its false advertising. We paid $205.00 for one night , which i may add: we could of rented a better room with better views!

Well when we got there we were informed that they no longer served breakfast which was one of my reasons for picking the place. The fitness gym only had one working machine. The room was comfortable although the tv was small and the pool was nice although where the gate to get in is anyone could just go in it. House keeping were very nice. It was an ok stay but i doubt if we will ever stay here again

I was in the shuttle bus from the airport and the driver informed me the hotel was closed due to renovations. So I called Wyndham and they said my reservation was cancelled. It would have been nice if the had notified me of this. The lady I talked to was able to get me a room a laquinta. I won’t stay at a days inn from now on. Only laquinta or holiday express.

It was a dump. Poorly maintained. The bathroom was falling apart and the tub was so slippery it was DANGEROUS. People fought in thier rooms so loudly it SCARED other quests. We would never stay there again.

staff was amazing, hotel was clean, and the free breakfast was just like any other at that level. I’ve never seen a yogurt machine before so that was something.

The room had a smell in it upon arrival but I was able to enjoy the room once I let some fresh air in from the balcony.

They did not service any meat for breakfast, I wish that it was mention on web site. No veggie burgers or something like that.

Room did not look like website. Room smelled weird, we left the balcony door open to clear the foul odor. Shower did not drain while showering, water was up to my ankles. Tub drained very, very slow after shower. Shade would not close. We figured out the next day it was electronic. It had appeared the cord was broke, as it was so short, about 3 inches long! Will not stay here again, it's a disappointing Wyndom property.

Rooms were nothing like the pictures shown. You walked into the hotel and could smell the old moldy nastiness. The shower had no pressure and Luke warm water. The staff were the saving grace. They went above and beyond to try to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

The staff was very polite and very helpful. The room was clean and our housekeeper Everyday was very attentive and sweet and I was really appreciative of her. The value that you’re getting at this hotel and the location cannot be beat. Breakfast was also really good.

From the minute I tried to check-in this hotel was a disaster. Nobody was at the counter and there was a sign. This said they were walking the property so that tells me. There was only one staff member for this hotel. I actually had to leave and come back a 1/2 an hour later. And then the staff member was in an office, hiding out somewhere the smell in the room was so overpowering, and there was a dehumidifier in the hallway with a tube running to the room next door to me in the stairwells, there was so much debris that you could hardly walk without getting Sheetrock on your shoes, I did not feel safe in the my room and thus I just left as I couldn't when I tried to reach out to hotels.com, they said to talk to a manager. Well, there's no manager to talk to nobody.There's no phone number directly to the hotel.And there was lack of staff to help.

It’s in a great location for beach access but the property needs a lot of maintenance. There was a company there working on the property so I believe this will be resolved soon.

Check in was after 1am. Associate was professional and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean. No stains on the sheets or pillows, carpets, toilet, and shower. The refrigerator was nice and kept beverages cold. The room was on the 4th floor and we had a good view of the gulf. I didn’t get a chance to try breakfast because I slept in each morning. I almost canceled my reservation because of reviews I read. I’m glad I didn’t. I would stay here again.

We had a great room with a very very loud kid upstairs. The desk clerk helped us move to a similar room.

Large roaches or water bugs in room on two different days. I dead and the other alive. Also, on at least two occasions the soap holder in the shower area was cleaned and the ice bucket was not emplied and a new plastic bag not inserted.

The building had a bad smell caused my husband’s and I sinuses to go crazy.

Excellent hotel. The workers was great. The only down fall we had during the stay was our room card kept deactivating. Other than that it was great.

I asked front desk for an iron and she stated for me to go down and get it. Not good and the stay condition was not stay able. Should call the city to close it down. Not following the city ordinance to have the hotel running.

Staff were noce. Only thing the renovation of.the hoteloutside. There was paint chips and some holes where men were working and no caution sofns. Other than that it was a great stay

Out of the way, quiet

When we got to the room we could not get in. Turns out key card/door in our room was broken. Front desk told us we would have to push down, then up after inserting the card and door should open. So you better have 3 hands and move quickly if you want to enter your room. Oh also our TV broke and while that doesn’t sound like a big deal our room was pretty quiet so you could hear everyone around you all night long. I tried 3 separate times to have them fix our TV but kept getting brushed off. We ended up leaving a day early because we could not take it anymore. Also, Because it was after 11:0am “checkout time” the hotel would not work with me on refunding me the for the night we were not staying it was only 3:00pm when we decided to leave. I will say the air conditioning was super cold they have it set to 61 and that is great especially after breaking a sweat trying to use the key card. Looking back I think they set it so low to try and somehow help with the sever mold issue.

This hotel is really good! It's the first time I stayed here and I am sure, I'll come back in August again.

It was not good at all when I found HUGE cockroaches in my room. I was totally horrified when I ended up stepping on one as I was bare foot.

It was great thank you but the ice machine only worked on the 4th floor hopefully next time all of them will work

Tv is not working, phone is not working,the guy that fix the phone doesn’t speak English at all. Breakfast is terrible!!!! All they have is scrambled eggs and breads. Not coming back to stay for sure!

The bed was dirty. Sheets had stains. Bed looked like someone had previously been on it with imprints in the bedding. Hell nah. And they won’t refund me and I didn’t stay there. I was there for max of 20 minutes and left.

My stay would have been great but my neighbors upstairs was very loud up until 3am and the the same noise again at 7 am

The first thing I noticed when I got to the lobby was that it smelled like insecticide, in general it wasn't that bad, the room wasn't the cleanest in the world but it was acceptable, what I didn't like at all was the pool, it was too dirty, inside and out, and we found several sharp objects inside and outside of swimming pool that could easily put young children's lives at risk.

I disliked the amount of homeless people surrounding the property one in which whom was eating from the outdoor hotel trash can, and cleaning off in the pool. The others made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe by being drunk at the entrance and making inappropriate comments as I had to walk pass them to enter property with my small children.

The lady at the front desk informed me about the owner's "policy" on service animals. I was told if i left my dog unattended in the room for any amount of time, they would call animal control to remobe my dog. Even if i had the do not disturb tag up. They had a small paper up front stating this. That means if we wanted to go to the pool, the dog had to go, beach, she had to go. My sevice animal is used at night for my condition, not during the day. Looking into ADA violation.

On 4/19, the scrambled eggs for breakfast were cold. There is no placard listing TV stations available in the room. There is no coffee available in my room. The kitchen had no TV. The yogurt dispenser in the kitchen was out of order. There was no comfortable chair in my room (211). No instructors for accessing Wi-Fi were available in my room. No newspapers or pantry (other than snack dispensers) were available anywhere.

Staff was very friendly. The biggest issue with this stay was loud banging in our walls of our room as maintenance was being done outside. I'm surprised they checked out those rooms that would be affected to customers knowing this work would be done during the stay. Besides that it was fine.

Basic but clean

Check in girl a delight. Man at desk very nice. Checkout lady not friendly. Breakfast person a big grump. We were given "accessable" room and don't know why. Room very shabby. No coffee maker. No coffee in lobby. Repairs lacked workmanship. Building repairs going on just outside room--very loud hammering. Breakfast bar juice machine broken. Whole milk empty. No bacon or sausage. Can't complain about price though, but stll won't return even if free.

Great place to stay easy access to the beach

Inexpensive hotel compared to others closer to restaurants and main beach area. Older hotel that shows its age but was very clean and staff very attentive. Could hear the guests above us and in the hallway but nothing that kept us awake. Breakfast food was ok, just typical continental food. I would stay here again.

All the people were very pleasant, cheerful, helpful, professional and just simply nice. Next time I come to Galveston, which I hope to be very soon, I definitely will be staying here.

It is a nice hotel across the street from the Galveston Seawall beach area. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. We had 2 small service issues that were resolved quickly and efficiently. Besides that, no problems whatsoever!

The room was clean and quit. The only thing was that the RR didn’t lock, but it was my husband and our kids that went so I guess that’s why we didn’t make an issue out of it. I had asked for a wake up call at 6:45am and didn’t get one till 8am.

To be honest it was the WORST PLACE TO BE, the service horrible not recommending this hotel to anyone

We were there to enjoy fishing, weather was not so good very Windy. My husband came down with the flu. We had to cut our visit short we left a day early. And they refunded us for 1 night. Room was clean and staff was friendly.

Only real big complaint was the toilet never refilling without taking the lid off and messing with it and the beds were extremely firm. But overall for the money it was decent.

Our room was super clean and loved having a balcony with a view of the ocean!

It was good. It was raining and rain was leaking really bad in the room from the ceiling. But over all good

The doors to the rooms need a quieting mechanism on them so they aren't slamming all the time. Also, I think they need to open the seating in the dining area for guests to sit and wait for their taxis or Ubers so we aren't crowding the front desk area. Lots of people were cruising and all were waiting for well over an hour for their rides. The pic is the view from our balcony which we were surprised we had.
