Love the underneath parking situation with easy elevator access. Room was spacious, was initially disappointed to not have an ocean view, but the nice balcony looking over the marsh (for now) has a lovely sunset view.

I like that the room was spacious and that it had a microwave to warm up your food I didn’t like that I had to pay for the hotel again because booking did not send confirmation of the reservation and payment made and that our room was way in the back and had no view

Location ,pretty views The staff was rude. I was lied to several times before arriving about parking and price talked to the asst manager but she kept calling me a liar. I reported her and others to corporate. Normally I just let things go but being called a liar didn’t set well to me. We had issues with staff at both Marriott properties. I’ve been a member for years with my business and never once complained.

Room was good, staff was nice. One of our rooms was not ready at guarantee check in, but did assign another room. Was a little further out of the area of things to do. But room was good.

Nice pool but it’s not heated so if the weathers poor you won’t be able to use it. Also the “bistro” restaurant in the hotel is awful. Rooms and nice and clean.

Was ok hotel nothing to write home about. We booked for 2 nights before a cruise. Bar opens at 5 tried to order 3 different basic drinks they couldn't make any of them. They didnt have orange juice🤔 We ordered food from door dash or uber to a local restaurant. If you want coffee in the morning before 630 there is a machine in your room but you have to go get 3 dollar bottle of water from the desk.At least they could have bottles of water in the room and just charge you when you use it like most hotels. 4 cruise ships leaving Galveston and 1 elevator was broken so everyone checking out trying to use 1 elevator. Hotel is dated but freshly painted. Pool looked nice was rainy so didnt use. Over all the hotel kept the rain off our heads which is what we really were looking for so it was ok

The staff is wonderful! They do everything they can to accommodate your stay! When I’m in town I always try to stay book here first.

1. The paint peeling off wall 2 hole by the air conditioner 3.water did not get hot we were told to let it for 30 minutes 4. Windows was dirty 5. Pictures were not the same as advised 6. Outside going to the pool was dirty This was a nightmare reported it to the front desk was told we will give you more rewards points. Think and pray before you go and Expedia should be ashamed of themselves to send a guest to this nightmare. I do have pictures. enter at your own risk

Dinner sandwich was ok, good French fries!

No wash cloth and top to half wall not secured. Could not secure items in the room due to door having lock issues. After changing rooms water was cooler than normal was unable to have a hot shower.

There wasn’t a restaurant for midday but the food in the evening was very good.

clean room, but had to purchase coffee and breakfast, not included. also when we arrived we had to wait a few minutes because the front desk lady stopped waiting on me to answer a call. otherwise it was nice and convenient for our cruise.

Our first stay at this Hotel and it was well worth it!!! The parking was easy and i felt at ease with my car parked under covered parking with a well lit area. Check in was quick and the staff very friendly! I love the availability of the food and drinks on premises!!! Waking up to Fresh coffee made to order was the icing on the cake!!! Will be booking my next Galveston trip coming up soon and this will be our chosen Hotel!!!!!

We stayed at this location because it is very close to Jimmy's Pier where we wanted to fish. The pool area looked very nice, but I didn't get to use it on this visit. We will definitely stay here again.

We totally LOVE the receptionist Althea. She is always so friendly and knowledgeable. Love her friendly attitude and beautiful smile. She is AWESOME!!!!

Bed was comfortable, staff was great. The only thing was the big cockroaches we found at least one every day/night. There was no wi-fi service for 3 days

only thing we didn’t like is breakfast turns out to be not included so we paid as mich as we paid for the room just to eat.. there was also an extra charge fo what seems to be a “resturant room” which was actually just an average table… the pool towels were not available. and only 1 ice machine in all 4 stories were actually working. the rest were out of service.

The pool/bar are awesome and real friendly staff. Had morning coffee and breakfast was downstairs was very good with great service.

Had to cancel. They did not have the room available that I reserved.

Landscape is top tier and the staff is 💯.. 👍

We chose courtyard over other options even more cheaper because we thought it will be a better experience. But we were wrong. In the end, no one apologized for the inconvenience.

The pool was wonderful. The bed was so comfortable. The rooms overall were nice. Will come back again soon.

This Courtyard was a great place to stay, clean and very well maintained. The room was clean and well arranged. The pool was amazing.

The room was beautiful and spacious with a great view of the beach. The only problems were the cleanliness of the room. Paper was torn off the bedside tablet, bunched up and left on the bedside table when I arrived. The cleaning staff did not trash it when they were cleaning the room. Also there was a small amount of trash left in the trash can in the bathroom. The cleaning staff did not do a good job of cleaning the room. When I conveyed this to the front they were not apologetic and didn’t seem concerned.

Beach time right across the street. If you cannot go up and down stairs then you should drive your car down some distance for better access. I was a little dismayed that breakfast was quite expensive and the coffee was Starbucks but at Starbucks cost. I absolutely loved the pool and the little Cabana bar. There were lots of kids in the pool and lots of laughter and fun.

Woke up in the middle of the night with a roach crawling on me.....that's disgusting. Could've crawled in my ear if i didnt kill it.

The restaurant has incredible food and the guys from the bar, were professionals.

Friendly staff, clean hotel

Check in delayed 30 minutes room not clean, staff did nothing to get our room cleaned. Ice machines on floors 3& 3 broken. Channels on cable not offered such as Netflix it there to select but not available per front desk. I guess the channels were removed to save money. I used to be a Marriot frequent member before I retired, this was the worst hotel in all of my travels across America.

The hotel was great. We did have a problem with the shower but it was fixed promptly. I think my only disappointment was no balconies. Most of the other hotels had them.

We got there and the room was not ready, when we finally got to the room I check the bed and the sheets were dirty with some kind of fluid big spots( I have pictures) I have to ask for my room to be clean and the towels to be change every day because they didn’t do it. The pool was dirty . I did not like it at all, I felt so bad the 4 days I was there.

The check in was easy. The parking was a bit limited. The staff could have been nicer and friendlier. Besides all that I was satisfied by everything else. I’d stay here again. The room was very clean and the property was well maintained.

Hotel was in a good location. Parking was easy. Pool was nice. My only ‘complaints’ were breakfast wasn’t included, but that was very clear on the reservation, the pool was a bit cloudy, I couldn’t take my own beverages to the pool, and the pool space had cabanas but they were for reservation only. We never saw anyone ever use them which seemed like a waste of space.

We love to stay at the Marriott the only thing I did not like were the tacky bracelets we had to wear to prove we were paying customers

Coffee maker and clock not working properly. Also a guide to using the tv would be helpful.

We liked the Courtyard by Marriott. It was clean and conveniently located to several restaurants. Breakfast stated it was over at 10:30 a.m., but there was no one downstairs at 10:00 a.m. in the restaurant area so we ventured out to another area. Nice pool. We do wish they had a hot tub though.

Lots of recent fixes that are subpar. Wifi spotty, elevator slow, pool cold, room door insanely heavy, toilet only worked sometimes. Overall6 out of ten for what we paid.

The bathroom in our Suite looked like any other small bathroom with a small tub/shower combo. The rooms didn't feel like they had been cleaned really good. We noticed areas that needed some additional cleaning attention, especially in the bathroom. The room also felt very dark. The night staff when we checked in wasn't super friendly. However, the day staff the next day was very nice and friendly. They did have a shuttle to the cruise terminal that they can arrange for you which was nice. I will try a different hotel next time in Galveston.

For the price, room service and better tv options would have been nice, but otherwise it was a nice hotel and convenient to West End traveling.

Stayed here prior to a cruise. Very disappointed in the cost of a shuttle to the port $35 pp. we had taken a shuttle from Houston to the hotel at a cost of $26 for a much longer journey. Next time will stay closer to the port in a hotel with a free shuttle

Clean and Comfy

Exactly what I expect at a Courtyard. Nothing special so probably won’t become my go to spot in Galveston. However, would keep on my recommendation list if anyone asked.

Easy check in, got right to our room. Plenty of parking with easy access to the lobby. A beautiful lobby to o! Got to our room in minutes. The room was great!

The property was awesome I didn’t get the room I wanted but the suite I received was a great second choice it was clean and very comfortable but the check in with Ms Althea was the most pleasant and amazingly informative

Nice property right on the seawall. Gorgeous pool area. Room was tight and needed more outlets. Starbucks in the lobby was convenient.

Only comment is that there were some loud guests on the floor above and we. Ould hear them stomping on the floor for hours. Other than that the property is great and we will stay there again.

At check in they asked reason for stay. We said our 44th anniversary. They then found an ocean view room for us and gave us complimentary breakfasts.

Property is great location is amazing, property was under remodel so that was not convinient.

We were inconvenienced when they turned the water off from 9-4 on our first day there. We had to go to the gas station to use the restroom. It was raining so we couldn’t go to the pool or beach that day,

It was easy to park and the employees were all very helpful and nice.

The cons were the expensive breakfast, the noise from footsteps on upper floors, no Netflix, the mosquitos at the pool area which were unreal!!! There was a sign saying there was mosquito treatment but either the storm washed it away or it didn't work. Maybe some citronella tiki torches or a handheld fogger could be used at the pool daily. Either way we couldn't stay at the pool for long because the mosquitos were in our eyelashes and covered our skin. This would definitely deter us from staying again because the pool is one of reasons for booking. Most cons could be overlooked because of the quality of everything else but get rid of those MOSQUITOS!

There was a roach in my room so we checked out and the Marriott manager was outstanding. He said that he refunded the room back to Expedia and I’m waiting for Expedia to refund my money.

Geovani was a fantastic help. The hotel was at capacity so we could not check in early but he kindly cheked and stored our bags in the back office. We needed to avoid our electronics being damgedd from being left in our hot car. Then he arranged that our bags be taken to our room once it was ready. We tipped him well. The room was spacious and very nicely furnished/clean. Breakfast is available but you must purchase it separately. Also you need to pay extra for a room with a water view. Some staff do not speak any English but all were friendly and accommodating. We ate at Salsas. Great food for the money.

Convenient location for the beach and port. Beautifully renovated. Wonderful day and night staff DJ the night receptionist was pleasantly helpful.

If you are going for business or need WiFi don’t go here their WiFi is extremely slow. Everyone with me had connectivity issues. Even the business center WiFi was horrible. I could not even get online at some points because it was so slow. It was like this all three days.

In regards to the staff, Althea, Sandra, Jason and the nice Indian lady that works the breakfast bar were outstanding. The property was well maintained and the rooms were very clean.
