Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the stunning views of Halong Bay and the friendly, accommodating staff on the Aman Junk boat. However, there are consistent complaints about misleading information regarding inclusions, such as meals and drinks, and issues with the boat's condition and facilities.

The bed was comfortable Curtains wouldn't close properly allowing sunlight early in the morning, loud vehicles, thin walls as next room were loud with TV, no shampoo, carpet in halls were dirty, coffee condiments were lacking:

We like the location near our daughter’s home and have stayed before. Between the noise and the bed we may have to rethink our next visit.

The television didn't work for my stay
- 2/5
At first glance, the room is nice. However, the television didn't work and after a long day of traveling, the wife and I just wanted to see the local news. Called front desk, and was never fixed. After exploring the area the next day, TV was still not working. Front desk said the manager would be in at 9pm to fix it. At 11PM, the manager called after we went to sleep and said she got there late and was not told about the previous night. Poor communication. Unresolved issues. Bed mattress not very comfortable. Won't be trying ECHO Suites again. Such a disappointment from a Wyndham property.

Location Floors were dirty and found a cockroach in the room.
- 5/5
No complaints at all. Great rate for a weekly stay.
- 3.5/5
Room wasn't super clean, hair and dust bunnies floating on floor. No warning that did were an extra cost. Nice kitchen but no cups, plates silverware. If you arrive late (10pm) you have to wake the staff and wait for them to come open registration.
- 4/5
I my experience, I arrived very late, past midnight because a was working and upon reaching the room (it looked great and clean), there wasn’t even a single bottle of water…..I decided to go downstairs and buy one from the vending machines, buy they wouldn’t accept my purchase or my card
- 5/5
The most parking was safe
- 5/5
The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Very easy to check in and out.
- 3/5
It needs to state in the ads that they provide no extras such as coffee pot silverware plates pots etc. that there is no linen changes for 2 weeks etc
- 5/5
The location was great, isolated from the city noise. The building is new so it was very clean and nice, having a little cooktop in the rooms is a great idea for a longer stay.

Room was very clean! check in was easy! Good place!
- 2/5
I specifically reserved an accessible room, but when I checked in none were available. I need to sit while showering, but the check-in staff said they didn't even have a portable shower seat available. This is a terrible bait-and-switch for people with accessibility needs!
- 4.5/5
The rooms were very clean, and the smell of the room was amazing. The restroom was very big and had lots of room. The bed was very comfortable. I didn't like the wifi you had to pay for it, and didnt really work half of the time. It was a little hard to get to downtown and other places. Parking was not great at all, and lastly, the water in the shower had hardly any pressure.
- 3/5
Room floor was dirty on our first day. Staff was pleasant but not very helpful. Our entry cards were deactivated last night, 12 hours before check out. Elevator broke twice in one week. Water shut off one day and we were not made aware of Fire alarm testing.

The ice storm that came through right after i got here!

Nothing

First night I was out in a handicap room and the bed was fully broken. When I asked to be transferred the night clerk said it was all the had. In the morning, 9am before any staff was there the manager said they had additional rooms and transfered me.

We had an assessable room. We liked all the grab bars and ADA toilet. However, the beds are so low to the floor and difficult to get out of bed

I have stayed here 4 times before with only a few issues. This time is absolutely the last time. Our first room, yes, first room, did not have a working TV or phone. The front desk person came up to look at them but was unable to fix it. She was very nice, but when we asked for a different room we were told they were full booked. Later we noticed there was no shower curtain. Since the phone didn't work we had to go down to tell the front desk. She handed my mother the shower curtain. After my mother asked if she had to hang it herself the woman offered to come up to hang it. The next morning we found the stove didn't work. At this point we felt unsafe since we have no idea what is wrong. I asked for either a different room or a refund. She told me she would have to check with the manager. I left my phone numver so they could contact me. Four hours later no one contacted me, so i checked in and was told we could have another room. The second room was functioning but under the bathroom vanity we found dirty mens underwear and socks. DISGUSTING. The entire outside reeks of weed. DO NOT STAY HERE.

No coffee pot. Check in and check never greeted nor did they smile. Friendliness goes a long way in this line of business and there was none. We stayed 1 night and were charged 10.00 for dog which was on the hotel information and we expected. What we didn’t expect was the 50.00 we were charged for same . Also, a 75.00 refundable charge which we weren’t aware of. This is unacceptable and we will not be staying here again NOR will we book through hotels.com since the cashier said Expedia didn’t have it correct on their website.

The TV, phone, and stove do not work. Instead of being given another room, we've basically been told this is what we get and they are working on it. Also, no shower curtain in bathroom. Staff came up to put one in. This is ridiculous. Bathroom counters were dirty. Kept awake throughout the night by a group of people upstairs. As I was getting on the elevator last night there was a group of highly intoxicated men spilling beer all over. Outside continuously smells like weed. This is the 5th time I have stayed here and I have never had this problem. I will never stay here again. I feel unsafe. The only positive is your staff, Mary. She has tried to help us and been very kind.
- 5/5
From check in to check out the staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean. Had a stove and mirowave that worked fantastic. Other than neighbors slamming doors at all hours this place is terrific. I will definitely be staying here again
- 2/5
THE CONS: No breakfast (which we knew ahead of time), VERY noisy upstairs neighbors (lots of people making noise, and coming all hours of the night). The WORST part of the experience was that we were there for several days, and there was absolutely no housekeeping service! If you want any form of housekeeping, you have to pay for an additional housekeeping package. There is absolutely no excuse for that. They are doing it in the name of “eco-friendliness”, but really it is just an excuse to not pay regular housekeeping and cut down costs. It would be a fine place to stay for one night, but definitely not for a multi-night stay.

Front desk, Mary was excellent !! When I asked about a simple item ( salt) near the vending machines. Mary, actually went & loaned me her personal salt !! I didn’t have a car to go buy any… she was like a little Angel. I’m staying at the hotel because, my sister lives nearby. However, she’s on Hospice. 9/19/25 my sisters health plummeted and EMS rushed her back to the hospital.. I returned to the hotel, from the hospital, I couldn’t find my key Mary was at the Desk. She said don’t worry you’ll find it. I will get you another copy, you are just stressed! And then she asked, is there anything else I can do for you ? That is heartfelt kindness. She also gave me a card for an Uber, since my brother in law would be at the hospital and not be there to pick me up. MARY. Is a small quiet young lady, The first person you see is the receptionist…… YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION LASTS FOREVER . Respectfully, Susie Kuipers R.N. Too much bleach in the water. Showering or washing your hands & face, it’s very hard on your skin & hair. Doors are difficult to enter the property. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that the doors didn’t open automatically as you approached. Interior doors, I appreciate the security of card needed opening. But NOT when you are coming in from the curb.

Everything was very pleasant only thing I didn’t like was you could hear people through the walls they were too thin
- 3.5/5
Location to where I needed to be Good size rooms and fridge
- 2.5/5
There was no staff on duty , no ice machine, no coffee machine & no hair dryer.
- 2/5
I appreciated the building had an elevator. I had requested a walk-in shower and it was very nice. Full size refrigerator was a plus. My service animal was approved. Building is fairly new so it presents well. But it was so dirty. The common areas and elevator floor were gross. They offer clean towels and sheets changed every 14 days. That was unsatisfactory to me. Mine didn’t get changed for 17 days only after I requested. After 17 days, there was a black waterline circle in the toilet. Yuk! Guests needed to pay for any extras themselves including toilet tissue, paper towels, all kitchen ware, linen exchange more often than 14 days. Compared to other long term stays, it was poorly sound insulated. Could hear neighbors talking in next room, dogs barking, footsteps walking around on floors above, doors banging closed. Groups of smokers hanging around outside doors, poor outside maintenance ( cigarette butts, dog waste, spilled drink and food). I never saw anyone cleaning up outside. I actually left 3 days early and forfeited the money!
- 3.5/5
The beds are great. There was no one at the office when I came to check in. I had to call you to get someone at the desk so I could check in. They did not have the room I booked clean when I arrived. Which was almost 5 in the evening. So I had to get a different room.

Had a good stay. The woman that checked us in was wonderful. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but overall a good experience. Would stay here again.

Great Place to Stay
- 3/5
Overall it was a good stay. There were some stains on the pillows and mold on the bathroom ceiling. There is no 24 hour front desk. It took a bit of time to find the phone to call the desk to check in. Car charger was also very slow to connect, and charges slow.
- 4.5/5
Everything was perfect except the tv didn’t work Very nice property
- 5/5
Wonderful staff and the rooms were spaciou6
- 5/5
Has everything you need, and is still the most affordable in town.

Had a problem one night with noise in the next room very late. Some pot smells in some area's
- 3.5/5
Property was very well kept and clean even down to the landscaping
- 2/5
This hotel was nice from the reviews - but once we got there, it’s more of an extended stay hotel, with guest who kind of lounge all over the property. They charge for early check in. The window to check out is closed, so you can’t
- 5/5
The beds and pillows were comfortable. It had a kitchenette with no pots pans or dishes of any sort. No hairdryer. And if you wanted a coffee pot you had to rent it. Towels and sheets were only changed every 14 days but for a EXTRA charge you could get them changed out.
- 4/5
Clean. Accommodating staff.
- 2/5
stovetop didn’t work, called front desk about room beside being nosy and they shrugged me off.
- 3/5
Hot water not hot enough
- 4/5
Great stay, not sure if they have quiet hours but if they do maybe have people be aware of the music or tv being played after 2 am and music being played right away at 5 am
- 5/5
The room was just like the pictures, beautiful and clean! The bathroom was spotless! I will definitely book here again in the future!
- 5/5
It had a comfortable and clean queen sized bed, a full sized refrigerator & 2 burner stove. Plenty of free parking, including 6 charging stations for electric cars.
- 1/5
Arrived to an unclean room with no bedsheets, towels, or toilet paper. Did not get moved to another room. Checked out early because of it, and was still charged for 4 nights even though we didn’t stay 4 nights. Then for 3 weeks I went back and forth with the property manager and never received a refund as promised. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHADY BUSINESS TO ANYONE.
- 4/5
Room was very clean and new. We actually liked the simplicity. Need an ice machine
- 5/5
The room was great but the bed was horrible, noisy and uncomfortable
- 4/5
Not much to say because of very late check in and leave in morning hours
- 3/5
Overall good for price
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet
- 3/5
I was in town for a funeral and needed a room. Everything was ok my only issue was that they do not have an iron in the hotel at all. Not even at the front desk. So I had to go to a friends house to finish getting ready for the funeral.
- 3/5
No coffe pot in room. Only ice machine was on first floor. Hotel room was very clean beds comfortable
- 5/5
Awesome stay very comfortable the kids enjoyed the kitchen being in the room.
- 4/5
Clean and nice. Not a lot of extras. The road into the hotel was under construction and it had sewer lids sticking up out of the ground that would have been bad to hit with no cones to mark it. The walls are super thin, got to listen to the neighbor vomiting all morning. I was there during a tornado warning and it was only myself and 1 other guest downstairs wondering where the staff was. I had to call staff for a key and she told me they have no direction on what to do during a tornado, so if you are not from an area with tornadoes, figure out where you should go.
- 1/5
Very noisy. Can hear all the nonsense in the other rooms. People knocking on my door and someone waking me up the first morning trying to come in my room. When I called the front desk they said they had the room down for repairs. No Do Not Disturb signs available. No hair dryers available. It’s apartments for temporary workers.
- 3/5
Nice. Only has front desk manned till 10 pm—not sure how easy checkin is if you arrive after that.
- 5/5
The hotel is clean.
- 4/5
It was good except we got charged $10 for checking v in 1 hour early, never had that at any other hotel!!!
- 5/5
Brand new, clean, quiet, no clothes hangers or hair dryer.
- 5/5
It had a refrigerator, microwave and stove top. We only spent one night there, but would have been great for a longer stay. Friendly staff. Very clean, maybe brand new. Great shower, which means alot to us. and Clean beds!!! Wonderful!
- 2/5
There was no coffee maker in the room and only one plastic glass. For an extended stay there was absolutely nothing in the kitchenette. When we checked out at 7 am there was no staff at all. No restaurants near by either
- 5/5
It was a quick stop because of tornado weather. The place was new and very clean with a full refrigerator and a counter top stove and microwave. What a pleasant surprise. With our senior discount just a wonderful overnight stop!
- 4/5
Very quiet atmosphere, only complaint was the water pressure for my shower was really low. Thankfully I could take a bath still but when i tried to do shower only a few streams came out at once.
- 5/5
Newer hotel so it was very clean and up to date.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay
- 3/5
The building was new, so no issues you would normally think of. The look is great, no appliances, no carpet, or box spring. The service was not as great, but it was also due to Hotels.com not paying my hotel fee upfront, so I was charged twice because the attendant informed me only of the incidental fee of $75, not the entire room charge being my fee. They also sent me very polite pre-check-in links and requested my info, but the staff did not have access to said info. Every price given was different than what was quote, from incidental to the misinformed fee charged to me my first night. The staff was nice, but did not answer my call to the front desk and the first attendant was very uninformed. The desk was not open at 9AM on a Saturday when I was leaving. The staff is also unavailable at the office after 11 PM, but you can dial someone from your room phone, I did not try this. I am unsure what would happen if an event occurred after hours. The only elevator was broken, so if I did not ask for a different room I would have been walking up three flights of stairs, so I am concerned for the elderly or those with children. The management seems to be trying to fix the issues, but I think there is cause for concern on both hotels.com's part and Wyndam's.
