Breakfast was awesome as well. Thank you. Scott and Kath

It was an excellent Victorian bed and breakfast. Wendy and Bill haslve spent a lot of time creating the perfect atmosphere. The food, atmosphere, and staff were all fantastic.

Our stay was very pleasant. The place is beautiful and decorated quite well. Our room was very nice. The hosts were great. The only thing I did not like was cleaning coming into my room as we ate breakfast. I had our door locked, because I left my purse in there. We were only staying the one night and they could have waited another hour or so until we checked out. Aside from that it was a wonderful stay.

What a wonderful place to stay. Very welcoming and beautiful in every way. We felt like we were at home. Very comfortable and accommodating. Definitely going back.

Every aspect of our 20th anniversary stay was terrific. The house, gardens, location and food were amazing! Wendy was a joy and we'll certainly be back!!

We stayed in the Nelly room which was perfect for an overnight stay. The room was not very large and the bed a little soft for my preference, but the house had 2 porches overlooking a garden area that were wonderful to sit on. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay there again if visiting Galena, and opt for a larger room.

Beautiful 1840s home run by a great couple dedicated to high quality customer service. Everything you would look for in a great B and B is here. Comfortable, clean, great food, super service and convenient location.

Beautifully decorated and maintained home. I surprised my grandmother with a trip to Galena and we stayed in the Lizbet room. It was wonderful. Wendy is a great host and the breakfast was to die for. A few other plus points for this home include a close proximity to downtown, it could easily be walked, or took about 60 seconds by car. Also, the Belevedere Mansion is right next door, and we could see it from our window. Super convenient! 10/10 would recommend and would stay again.

Very quaint and delightful house. All the amenities you would expect in a B&B.
-
Hostess is friendly, knowledgeable, and enjoyable. Home is historically accurate and comfortsble.

Wish we had more time to experience the unique B&B but we were visiting with family. Would definitely go back! The house is stunning with all of the period details. The food was delicious and everyone staying with us extremely nice. There was a period ball on Saturday with reenactors staying at the house, so we were treated to interesting facts and beautiful costumes. I would highly recommend the Annie Wiggins.

We so enjoyed our stay. This beautiful home has been lovingly maintained. I hope to return soon

Great location. Wendy was terrific. Lot of history in Galena.

The inn keepers were wonderful! They were cheerful and happy to be of help. Everything was lovely from cleanliness to breakfast! They kept a quaint garden with a fountain on the property, and two levels of patios from which to sip tea, water or lemonade while enjoying the outdoors. Cookies were ready in the parlor upon arrival. I highly recommend this guest house to anyone looking for a weekend getaway or a different experience than a hotel chain.

A charming home in historic Galena restored by the owners with much beautiful antique furniture and a fine garden appropriate to this Victorian home. Our room for one night was comfortable and we enjoyed the fine breakfast prepared by the owner. Located just a short walk from the heart of Galena, this B&B is also near President's Grant's home. We found Galena to have considerable charm, interesting shops, and the obvious success by the town to bring out the beauty of the place. Our evening meal at 'Fritz and Frites', a German/French restaurant, was a hit.

Enjoyed the stories of the past and history of the house and the community of Galena. Nine civil war generals lived in Galena with Gen. U. S. Grant's home as a visit stop while touring the town of 3500 people. Great main street with three parallel streets full of historic houses and stores and wonderful townspeople.

Which is quite likely because we also found the town of Galena to be absolutely fabulous! The town is rich with history, architecture and welcoming.
