    The 2 bdrm plus sleep sofa was clean & perfect for our girls trip. The kitchenette was clean & nicely setup if we choose to cook. The location was great with plenty to eateries near by. Construction equipment took up some parking spaces, but no threat of towing on Sunday.

    Great price for the location, quality of room and kitchen. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Property with ongoing renovations but very clean. Adequate free parking. Free breakfast was more than adequate. Rooms are on the small side. Despite having a pullout couch (which wasn’t that comfortable), it would be hard to fit more than 2 adults in a room. We could hear footsteps from room above us. Location was great for us visiting family in Gaithersburg/Bethesda.

The only negatives were that there were two mirrors and they were both in the bathroom. A mirror in each of the bedrooms would have been nice as we were getting ready for a special event. The breakfast wasn’t the best but it was better than some smaller places.

    Hotel is in the middle of a major remodel. Elevators are non functional. Parking lot is mostly blocked and closed. One entrance to building all others are blocked. Not an amazing Marriott experience and not worth the price!

    What stood out most was how well it works for families. The two-bedroom unit with a small kitchenette was ideal, and the pullout couch meant everyone had their own space without feeling cramped. The staff were consistently helpful and easy to deal with. Small touches like coffee and tea always available, and fresh cookies in the afternoon, made it feel a bit more welcoming. Overall, it’s a place I’d come back to without hesitation, and one I’d happily recommend.

    The booking was for a three night stay in a two bedroom suite. Check in was easy. Staff were friendly & helpful. The suite looked new & super clean. It was very spacious with ample closet space. The kitchen had stainless steel appliances with full size refrigerator, stove, & dishwasher. Fully equipped with dishes, pots, & utensils for cooking. Breakfast was an additional plus. The only recommendation would be to designate a space in the parking lot for loading & unloading. Overall, the stay was excellent.

    One thing I did not like about the hotel was the manager. He did not extend my stay and didn’t explain why I think it was because he was stereotyping me and my son so if you have kids, I don’t recommend this hotel.

    Elizabeth, who is at the front desk, stood out immediately. She was kind, friendly and helpful. She was like sunshine on a cloudy day. And I should add that all of the staff were delightful. If Elizabeth isn’t a manager already, she should be. I will definitely go back to this Marriot. Great job!!! Lisa

    After our 1st night stay my husband noticed a few bumps and just thought it was from mosquitoes the night before. But, after the 2nd night we realized it had to be bedbugs. The bumps got larger and more showed up. I had checked the mattress before agreeing to this room, but obvious not close enough. So needless to say that experience was very upsetting. I will say that upon notifying the Hotel Manager, Elizabeth, she was very nice, kind, compassionate and showed empathy and understanding. She also compensated us for those nights. Customer service was on point. This was our 2nd time staying at the hotel. The first time we were in building A and had no problems. The 2nd time we were in building B. This hotel was a great price and great location for us when we often visit family in the area. However, I'm not sure if we will stay a 3rd time. To Elizabeth, thanks again for the great customer service.

    The bed was not comfortable and squeaked and the roll out bed was horrible. Only got 1 sheet and 1 blanket and that mattress was stained. Gross. The AC motor ran all night even when no air was blowing and rattled. Horrible night.

    Accidentally booked this location at the wrong city. Called immediately - both hotels.com and the hotel itself. Hotels.com told me the hotel manager was out and they would resolve and give me a refund on the morning. The next morning the manager tells me that the hotels.com agent didn’t change the status of my reservation from “live” to “canceled”. Hotels.com agent tells me this is not true, and that the hotel manager is refusing to provide my refund. Both point fingers at each other and I am left with no refund despite calling immediately. Horrible customer service on both parts.

    I’ve had pleasant experiences at other Marriott stay bridge hotels before but last night was horrible. As soon as we walked in the room had a terrible pungent smell of some type of animal urine, furniture extremely outdated for example: bed was creaky and dips in middle amongst other things, and couple next door fought all night and woke us up at 7am screaming profanities. Would not recommend at all!

    I had a wonderful experience during my 3 night stay. I was able to bring my dogs and they even had an area outside with bags and a trash can. The in room full kitchen was very helpful and a big money saver on meals. The free breakfast was extensive and had something for everyone, including hot items like eggs and sausage. I had a studio suite and it still felt spacious and was clean.

    Early May saw my second stay at TownePlace Suites Gaithersburg since March. Having lived in the area for many years, I looked long for a convenient, comfortable, and economical place to stay whenever I travel to metro Washington. It checks the box for all three. This hotel is off an I-270 exit, and not far from the Shady Grove Metro station. Plenty of good restaurants and shopping nearby. Nice breakfast, and a welcoming, professional staff assists guests. This hotel may seem non-descript, as it looks like townhouses. Yet inside are spacious, comfy suites with kitchens. Sure, you can book more glitzy or glamorous accommodations in DC or close-in suburbs, but you will pay a price for them. I like TownePlace Suites Gaithersburg, and hope to return again. Thanks!

    Well, everything was okay besides when we entered the room. The fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling. Also, there were burn marks on the counter and furniture, no extra wash clothes or towels. Someone across from our room smoking marijuana. The smell did enter our room for a few minutes. My wife and I didn’t complain about it. We were just there for one night. Everything else was good.

    Elizabeth checked us in and she was very nice and welcoming. The reviews were worrisome but I know sometimes things happen. So glad I stayed here. My boys had a great time as well. Free breakfast with waffles instead of just cereal and fruit. Hunter was kind enough to give us replacement towels sets last minute. Just overall great vibe and experience. Every staff member encounter was pleasant. My go to place when I visit back home again.

    We booked for 3 people 2 bedroom suite, had to ask both days for more towels as left only 2 each service, ran out of toliet paper as they didn’t leave another roll the next day they serviced. Not sure what they call room servicing as it was limited. When we wanted a cup of tea downstairs they had no hot water, quite disappointing for what you paid for a 2 bedroom

    Dogs barking in a room when I got off the elevator. No sheets for the sofa. I called and they said we had to come get them at the front desk cause there weren’t any clean sheets available. So my husband walked across the parking lot to get the clean sheets only to find out they didn’t have any clean sheets. Finally picked up clean sheets after 10pm. When we opened the sofa bed it was filthy so we closed it up and just sprayed down the sofa and put sheets on top.

    This hotel is amazing! Very accommodating, great customer service, and friendly staff. One night me and my friend were lost trying to find another road to the hotel and a nice young gentleman stayed on the phone with us until we found our way to the hotel.     I greatly enjoyed my early March 2024 stay at the clean and spacious TownePlace Suites in Gaithersburg, MD. Convenient on/off location to I-270, with lots of eating and shopping options nearby. An easy ride (depending on traffic) down into Washington, DC. Shady Grove Metro is also nearby. The hot and cold complimentary breakfast is tasty and offers many choices. Attentive staff kept breakfast 'supplied' and the seating area clean. Special kudos to housekeeper Gifty and colleagues who set up a nice, clean suite, and to courteous receptionist Corrigan who assisted me with an efficient check-out. I plan to stay here again, soon.     The staff here was excellent. They were incredibly attentive. Continental breakfast was very good, with something for everyone. Chocolate chip cookie at 7pm nightly in the lobby. We first stayed in room 103, a handicapped room (our mistake), but the bed was very squeaky and sunken in the center. Transferred to 109 for night 2. The room was excellent. The bed was a tiny bit squeaky (steel frames) but very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    This property provided my family and I a home away from home. The suite was spacious and the kitchen appliances were full size. I was event able to bring my dog for a fee. Overall a great location and experience for my family.

    There were a few issues with the cleanliness of the room and laundry facility. We came back to the room and even found the side window came out of its frame. However, the staff are excellent and welcoming. Truly friendly, hard working and professional. Elizabeth is a true joy to talk to and she works hard!

    Nothing in the other room works. We paid for a suite and the tv doesn’t work, we can’t plug in our electronics to charge our devices… not a good experience
