    Great staff all around, I had an issue with my door a few times but Jose was very helpful as the maintenance man and made sure everything was fixed personally. Jacquline was great during check in and whenever I needed something from the front desk she was right on it.

    Room was very clean. I asked for a quiet location because I'm a light sleeper, and my room was indeed quiet and I slept just fine. Hot breakfast and coffee were good. I thought I was getting a full kitchen - had a small stove but no oven (did have microwave). Comfortable desk chair for computer work and reading. Courteous staff. Will stay there again.

    Bedroom and living area were both dimly lit. One bedside light was not working, I contacted the front desk and was told it would be repaired, but after four nights in the property it was never fixed. The noise from the interstate highway was annoying. The HVAC noise was loud and unlike white noise it varied continuously which made it difficult to tune out. Twice while walking to and from the breakfast buffet I was sprayed by the irrigation system which intrudes on the sidewalks

    Regarding cleanliness, I noticed a dead bug on the closet door, which I left intentionally to see if it would be cleaned, but it remained there for two weeks. Additionally, two of the towels provided had a bad odor, so I did not use them. I also reported that one of the shampoo and conditioner dispensers was broken, but it was never replaced during my stay. On a positive note, the staff working in the restaurant—especially during breakfast—were excellent, very attentive, and consistently provided great service.

    Great place for a family to stay because of 2-bedroom suites. Many food options along the ery walkable path along the lake. Great place to meet up with people when come into town. Price was similar to single room in the fancy hotel in the area, so great for families that need two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen/living room. It even had a gas fireplace! Very comfortable. Good free breakfast. Great stay!

    I was honestly quite disappointed by this Residence Inn location. The buildings themselves are clearly a bit dated, but that wasn't the main issue. The hallways of the building I stayed in (building B) smelled - like a vaguely musty, humid, poopy smell. When I first walked into the building, I thought it was just because it was a little warm that day (the reception building was also quite warm - while checking in, I was wondering if their a/c was working), but the smell persisted throughout my three-night stay. Thankfully, the room did not smell - I would have refused to stay there if it did. And luckily, my room was very close to the building entrance. I literally would make a beeline for the exit when leaving and my room when coming back, open-mouth breathing the whole time so I didn't have to smell whatever it was that was going on. I've stayed at other Marriott properties in this same area and they've been great and the location is indeed highly convenient but I can say that without question, I won't be coming back to this Residence Inn location.

    I stayed with a group at the Residence Inn Gaithersburg for 15 nights. The hotel location was great, 5 minute walk to the Rio Shopping Mall with lots of restaurants, quality shops, and a Super Target for groceries. The hotel serves hot breakfast every morning, included in the room rate. Each room has a full kitchen, including stove and dishwasher, and equipped with dishes, silverware and more. The staff were very friendly, courteous, and managed several special requests without any problem.

    We only had one issue. One of our rooms developed a leak in the ceiling above the bathtub. When we informed the staff, they quickly checked it out and moved us to another room. They also indicated that the room night would be removed from our bill, but that has yet to happen.

    Room cleaning was now only every other day and we experienced it every third day at the first of our stay. The room carpet was stained and burned (in a non-smoking room), our cooktop glass broken, toaster fell apart when we moved it and there was not an oven in our room. We learned when we inquired about it, that there are only ovens in certain rooms and not all rooms. The smell in the room was poor--dank and a cross between burned oil and standing water. There was also not a table that was practical for more than two people to sit at for eating. People on the first floor had children screaming through the halls and one man and woman were screaming at each other as their marriage was being verbally dissolved in the hall. Is the Residence Inn more a long term apartment for people in transition or a hotel? We are trying to think through if this hotel is best for us on our next visit. While the location is idea, the overall condition of the room is getting poorer. Our housekeeping staff did a good job when they came and the front desk staff tried to be helpful. We hope there can be adjustments and improvements, as we would like to continue using Residence Inn. Thank you.

    My experience at Marriott was disappointing. Upon check-in, the initial room assigned to us had a strong cigarette odor, likely due to a previous guest smoking in the room. This necessitated a return to the front desk to request a different room. Unfortunately, the key to the second room wouldn't work, leaving my family and me stranded in the cold night. The front desk staff, acknowledging the inconvenience, promised to compensate us with loyalty points for the hassle we endured. However, instead of receiving the promised compensation, we were unexpectedly charged an additional $20 fee for two days car parking.

    Breakfast was terrible, rotten oranges , baggels were dried and hard, limited options. Few days they had a excuse of saying that they did not receive supply's . We reached the GM she was a understanding women and gave us one nite free of charge!! Hope they improve on the services, for the price they are asking!! 132$ was just not worth it.     The area was very nice and close to all sorts of places to eat. The building looked fine on the outside, but the inside looked old and unkempt. Nearly every door needed painting. The room was terribly humid. We had to run the A/C at 60 degrees the whole time just to get it cooled off enough to feel comfortable. Then came the late night party down the hall. Very loud music started up about quarter til 10pm. The party was several rooms down the hall from us, but the music made our walls vibrate. We thought for sure the management would put an end to it. Finally by 11pm I had had enough and called the front desk. They seemed unaware. They said they checked it out, but I had to call back again at midnight. They apparently notified the room because the music was then turned down, however, I had to call back again because the music was still loud enough to vibrate our walls and the party people were up and down the hall talking and carrying on. The night manager said he was going to get his "team", which I took as "security" to talk to them. At that point I had to say that it better work or I would have to call 911. Thankfully, it stopped. It was a rough night. I highly doubt if I would take the risk of staying at this particular place again.

    The staff were very friendly but the room felt dated, in particular the bathroom. The tub looks old. The towel bar a little crooked. The toilet handle needed jiggling to stop it from running. I always trust a Marriott but I think for the rates they charge, this one could use some updating

    The room was very spacious and comfortable. The location is great -- about a quarter mile walk to the Rio Lakefront where it is very scenic and there are plenty of restaurants. The only downside to mention is that, while the room has plenty of electrical outlets, there aren't any built-in USB sockets, so you do always needs to have your own charger.

    Lived up to expectations. No untoward factors as had been reported in previous reviews, that we were aware of. Stayed 4 nights in 2-bedroom suite. Friendly, responsive staff. Everything fresh. Oh, landline phone in room could be updated to include direct line to front desk - couldn't figure that out.

    Was good value. Staff was very professional and helpful. Pool was not in great condition and snack shop was mostly emptied out. Our room was very clean but did have a mildew scent. However, for the price and convenience it was a decent stay.

    The staff was amazing very responsible polite kind that morning staff that mid-staff the daytime staff they were all wonderful they did or give me their names but I misplaced the card but each and everyone please their names were very important they all were excellent from the time we got there to the time we left I had a chance to come in in the morning to meet the staff the afternoon and the evening staff were all excellent please recognize that you have a excellent front desk staff there

    The front desk staff was very helpful. The maintenance guys were great. The General Manager helped us greatly with long-term reservations. Everybody was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was consistently good. We will stay there again.

    We got q late check in, in the hottest weekend ever, and my room never got below 74 degrees I. Night time was worst for some reason, maybe have to do that I was a the top floor in the corner at the top of the main steps that have access to the parking lot. The room was clean and equipped with the basics.

    Sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable, so the sofa cushions were used instead. Lastly, our door would not close easily and if not pushed very hard would be left opened. Door to room 107A must be repaired! Other than that, we had a great stay!! Pool was fantastic, wifi for work was strong and I could walk around the property with my laptop and never get disconnected! Work desk was great too. Breakfast did not disappoint, and the front desk service was top notch.

    Gave it a low rating on cleanliness as it stated our room would have a cleaning every other day and yet no one came for the first 7 days of our 8 day stay. Also, the internet service was down the first day or two and spotty rest of stay.
