The water pressure in this hotel was out of this world. It felt like I was being power washed when I took a shower. Also, the hot water was HOT. You didn't have to wait for it to get hot. I loved it.

Clean room and great location

I don’t usually give reviews. But, after Amir charged me for a room that wasn’t even mine. Even after I explained 3 times that the person with the same last name was my sister. He still gave me a wrong room. Then I came to front desk to get send to the right room with lake view. They told me I didn’t reserved lake view. I had to show proof. I understand mistakes happens. But this little mistake can ruin someone’s weekend. Specifically if they hold $491 dollars on your credit card just because they made a mistake.

The lake was nice. Very clean and updated facilities. It was great. The Rio area was a nice place to be. Staff was great. The breakfast was way over priced and you could tell many things were frozen and not made fresh. The staff was great from check in to the bar and the restaurant and the cleaning service. I really despised being a paying overnight guest and still had to pay to park. I would have rather that fee been incorporated into the room rate to begin with, I never would have thought twice about it..

Very poor knowledge and options for gluten free dining at breakfast and non existent at the bar / restaurant later. I have coeliacs and had to order in or eat out each night.

The Location, Staff, Cleanliness and overall experience of this hotel is very unmatched. This was my first time ever in my 36 years visiting Gaithersburg MD and I absolutely loved everything about it and in it. This Hotel is a 10/10 in my eyes. My wife and I are traveling all over the U.S trying different cities and hotels and this hotel is our 14th Hotel Experience by Far the best Hotel so far we’ve experienced. The staff made our stay THE BEST! From when first arrived at 1 a.m you would’ve thought it was 1 p.m the type of energy we was greeted with and they way they made our stay so easy and relaxing. I don’t have any negative thoughts at all of this place.

I was surprised to find that this hotel charged extra for Wi-Fi. So far, every other hotel I’ve stayed at has included Wi-Fi, so this was unexpected. What was most frustrating is that we were not informed about this charge during check-in. If there are additional fees, guests should be clearly told upfront. Better communication would have avoided this issue

I stay in this hotel every time I return to MD. The location is excellent. The staff is always helpful and courteous. Rooms are always clean.

The room was fine. I felt this place nickel and dimes you. For example, $12 a night to park your car, no free breakfast, and they even charge you $6 for a bottle of water left in the room. Nothing was complementary.

Online it stated free breakfast for 2. We were to pay for breakfast. There was no breakfast included. The sink was clogged and no one ever came to fix it when my husband called.

There was hair in my food two meals in a row

The staff was so very nice. Ramona especially went the extra mile to make our stay special!

Old beds, not comfortable. Woke up with back pain. Dirty rooms, the room keys work half of the time, it was really annoying!.. The sheets/pillows smell old and dirty even though they gave us new ones.

The property was up to the Marriott standard, but what set this location apart was the people. Every person we interacted with was pleasant and professional. What a pleasure!

yes but not able go due to mobility issues. room clean. bar was good not a drinker I wanted a drink they do not usually make But the lady taking our order for food knew how to make it and made it for me so nice of her and very good.

When I checked in, no one went over the amenities that were available to me so I didn’t have access to the menu of the tiki bar that was downstairs overtime they actually closed. if I didn’t capture the information in the elevator, I would have no knowledge becausethere’s nothing written in the rooms

Mostly the hotel was fine but it lost a better score because the dining facility was unacceptable. It was understaffed by poorly trained people and the food was only minimally acceptable at breakfast. The lunch and dinner menu was poorly designed and the food was barely better than a fast food joint like MacDonalds or Burger King

A conveniently located hotel in the Gaithersburg Rio complex, which offers many restaurants, bars and shopping. Room was comfortable, although the windows needed washing.

The front desk staff Hunter was courteous and very helpful. There is no concierge service. Overall It was a pleasant experience. Thank you

Overall clean, comfortable, good location, and pretty view..Excellent. Only negative issue was that lobby coffee purported to be Starbucks and tasted bitter…not Starbucks quality.

The conference logistics and evening catering for our social hour of 150 people were expertly handled with friendly and attentive staff. The location is pleasant along the small lake with numerous shops and restaurants in walking distance.

I was happy with the stay but i booked almost a month in advance and also requested early check in@3pm. When we arrived around 5, our room was still not ready. They ended up putting us in another room with a smaller bed. I had reserved a king so that was kind of annoying. didn’t like that the room wasn’t ready even after the regular check in time. I feel like I should get some of my money back because I did not have the stay that I reserved.

Middle of the range Marriott. Good location near the restaurants at Rio. Also good for easy access to the 270. Hotel restaurant is not fantastic. Rooms are large, little dated but comfortable and clean.

We live 15 minutes away, but we stay at hotels when we can because of its ammenities like the gym and indoor pool and just be comfortable away from home and it was our first time to stay in this hotel and my 8 year old son said from now on we will be staying here because of how nice the staff are from our check-in to the restaurant led by Aligda and staff like Eddy, Yenci and Kady. These people are very welcoming, their smile on their face were so refreshing and you can feel that they love their job and the people they talk to. Our room had the best view of the lake and very comfortable. Love love love this hotel. We will be back more often even without an indoor pool. Thank you!

The property did not include free wifi! Also, for the price of the room, there really should have been some complimentary breakfast of some kind!

The stay was very pleasant. The hotel staff are amazing. The hotel needs to be refurbished. It is an older hotel.

Paid parking. Paid wifi. Six dollar bottle of water on the desk. Paper thin walls. Nowhere convenient to plug in a phone near the bed, and no USB chargers anywhere. A/C made weird noises all night. I've had better nights at the Days Inn.

There was no place to just get coffee in the morning or breakfast options. There was a buffet for 22,95 per person which is absurd. Also, unless you have Netflix not a lot of TV options . Extra charges for ridiculous things, such as parking when there is a huge lot

We loved the location on the lake and its view. However, there is no handicap access to the lake, just 50 feet away. Hotel staff helped us take my husband's mobility scooter across the lawn, down the hill, and through a flock of geese. Exciting but risky. They need a ramp.

Everything was perfect other than the paid parking. I've never seen that at any hotel I've ever stayed at. Staff was amazing, lake view gave me great vibes.

We have stayed here before. Cannot believe that parking is paid. RIDICULOUS!!!!! I almost left. There is a huge outdoor parking lot. Marriott is nickel and diming by charging for parking in a suburb with an outdoor lot. Give me a break!!!

The staff made us feel welcomed. The hotel was clean and the restaurant, The Bench has a nice happy hour and burgers were yummy. Overall location is nice.

First night there was no hot water during a pandemic... the second night the shower was backing up due to plumbing... two different rooms

Perfect location for enjoying RIO. Easy and beautiful walk to restaurants and entertainment. So many activities for children.

I liked the location of the hotel because there were dining options/shopping within walking distance. I didn't like that we had to pay for parking and that the bar closed at 10pm.

This hotel is situated in a very nice location of Rio lake front. There’s a walking path around the lake right outside the front door. Had a beautiful lake view from my 8th floor room. Shops, restaurants and activities are just a walk away. Room was clean with friendly, responsive staff (Janet checked me in). I asked for extra towels when I checked in and housekeeping was knocking at the door a minute after I got into my room. The only downside was the signage for the hotel is TINY and the hotel is tucked away behind 2 other tall(er) buildings. Otherwise, I will definitely choose this hotel when I’m in the area again.
