Quality Inn Fredericksburg near Historic Downtown

I was happy with the motel and the staff. However, I chose this place over others because it openly said "Close to downtown" when in fact it is miles away. Other motels I passed over were on the same street. This is misleading and even unethical and moreover it must be a pain for the hotel clerk to have to answer for it to disappointed customers.

This was a last minute booking and it served the purpose of a place to lay our heads. Not clean & had a mildew smell. Staff were very polite though!

Wish breakfast started at 6:00 a.m. It could be better restaurants in the area to eat at.

However, they took my credit card for incidentals and when I checked the card account after leaving they charged it $10.65 with out telling me they were going to. Upon calling them to inquite what that was they said parking fee. When I told the guy on the phone that I was not informed of a parking fee charge he said that they always tell everyone about it....well no sir they did not last night. The charge was not alot but it is the point that they charged it with out telling me and no receipt for it either. Do not get caught like I did from now on I will double check what they are doing with my card. This is a first and will be my last.

Beds were super comfortable! Room very clean! Breakfast included waffles, coffee, juice, tea, danishes, eggs, sausage, and cereal. Checking in and out was a breeze and everybody extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.! Everything was outstanding!

Clean room, friendly staff, very nice breakfast. Always great to have free parking! Very sufficient. Only stayed overnight so did not explore the area but it looked like there was everything you could need.

The front desk ladies were very kind. Checking in and out was easy. This hotel is one of the few that serve hot breakfast. Breakfast was good and all areas of the hotel were clean.

As for the hotel itself, I have no complaints. When we were 400 miles away from the hotel, I tapped the google maps icon (get the route) on the Booking.com app. As a result, we ended up in a different town located 10 miles away from the hotel itself. My family and I—absolutely exhausted—had to turn around and drive back for another 40 minutes through heavy traffic, all because of this stupid mistake by the person managing the hotel's page on Booking.com.

The beds were hard and uncomfortable unable to sleep. Room smelled. Will not be going back.

Staff was helpful when I called for help. Rooms are pretty run down - could use a refresh.

The staff here is excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean. Couldn’t find a remote control for the TV, but I got in late and it wasn’t an issue. Hot water and good pressure for days! Nice shower head and soft towels. Safe parking. They let me park my motorcycle under the canopy so it would stay dry for the morning ride. Love when hotels do that.

At check in, she said the credit card reader wasn’t working……asked for my card. She tried to swipe it, but said that wasn’t working. So she punched my CC information into her computer. In this day and age, that all made me feel uncomfortable for my security.

Our go to place when stopping between NC and NJ. Right off 95 but quiet. Loads of restaurants. Convenient and consistent.

This is a no frills hotel but it was very clean and nicely updated

Our room and the property was okay. The problem was parking. While we parked right outside our door, the parking spaces were so narrow, I could hardly squeeze out the door.

Breakfast is as expected of a Quality Inn, we skipped and grabbed tea. We interacted with 3 different ladies (2 front desk agents & the breakfast attendant) all of whom were less than hospitable. We would still stay there, after all we picked the hotel for the price and location, not the company of the staff. The cleanliness was a pleasant surprise

It’s an older hotel, and for its age well maintained. My low rating comes from when I checked into the room. There was a blood spot in the tub. The other thing is the pictures that are on Hotels.com. Do not match up with how the place actually looks.

The room was very clean and comfortable and had plenty of amenities like a refrigerator and microwave and hair dryer. There was also in room coffee and tea. The room was quiet and comfortable and the breakfast the next day was enough to get me going. The best part was the price. This Motel is nestled in between other chain motels at twice the price. While this hotel is older it's like stepping back into time, but saving me money wins every time! It is a motel so all the doors are outside entrances. That was fine but the stairs leading to the upstairs rooms we're only at one end of the building.

Parking was available directly in front of room, and the area was well lit. Room was clean and comfortable, for the most part. The air conditioner was noisy and should be replaced, and the TV was incredibly small. Pillows were very comfy, and the shower had spectacular water pressure.

I have stayed at a lot of budget inns along 95 traveling from NJ to Disney every year. Most are tolerable as we're just looking for a bed to sleep in. I thought the great reviews for this location had to be exaggerated, but they are not! This was by far the nicest budget-friendly hotel I've ever stayed in, and even nicer than some more expensive options.Very clean and comfortable rooms. Don't pass this gem up. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the room was as we generally don’t stay at Quality Inns. The front desk staff was quite pleasant and we had no issues checking in or out. If you’re looking for a HOTEL with inside corridors, this is not that. However, we were able to park right outside our first floor room and found our stay quite pleasant.

Rooms reek of cigarette smoke even though they are “non-smoking.” Not a good choice if you have breathing difficulties.

The Quality worked on all levels. Plus the staff were incredibly nice & kind. Food very close by. The room was simple yet clean. The bed was comfortable and even the pillows worked (yes I'm a pillow snob). Even the shower had that strong water pressure.The 95S exit was super close which made the stay that much easier. Bottom line, we would stay here again. Thank you!

This is a Quaility Inn Motel not Hotel and I was very impressed as I normally stay in a hotel . Everything was fresh and clean and new and smelled lovely . The breakfast was very nice ! It had all the choices.For myself as long as they have a Belgium waffle I am vey happy ! Everything was great! The staff was so friendly like your next door neighbor ! The kitchen guy was on top of everything and the desk was the best.

For the life of me, I can’t understand how this place got such a good rating. In my opinion, this place was a dump and not nearly worth what I paid. I should’ve known better than go by the reviews. I hear many of these places by reviews to get themselves good ratings. This place was a complete dump.

The staff, location, the breakfast and the cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom was flawless. Great job to the Quality Inn staff and establishment. The only issue was the television. The picture was clear.

Location and amenities were good, but this area is a bit noisy for me. You can hear the car and truck traffic throughout the night, which made it difficult for me to fall and stay asleep. But the place did the job.

First, I want you to know every member of your staff was very polite. Also, the staff cleaning the rooms were honest and did a great job. I lost one of my diamond ear ring and they found it and it was laid it on my sink. But to say the room was wheelchair accessible it is not. The bathroom was the main issue. The shower had a dip in the floor, and the shower chair almost made me fall. the handheld shower head did not work because I could not reach it. The towel racks are too high to hang your towels on. The electric socket was also too high to reach. And there was no emergency alarm. I even call and talk to the front desk before we came from Orlando to explain what I needed. I have only been in a wheelchair for 4 years and now recognize the difference between handicap accessible and wheelchair accessible. Please think about making changes for the next customer.

The staff was great, the room was great. The breakfast space seemed to be just thrown into the lobby and lots of sugary food choices with sausages. Egg patties aren’t as good as real scrambled eggs. Yuh as the crow flies it’s near downtown BUT Hwy 17 is totally unwalkable. No sidewalks that I could see. I managed to walk behind another restaurant to cross a side street to get to an IHOP for dinner. Last time I stayed in Fredericksburg I stayed on the other side of the river. Maybe farther from downtown but walkable so I did walk to downtown

Everyone and everything was nice. But the room smelled like smoke. Not sure if the previous occupant smoked and it wasn’t caught.

However, while at breakfast at about 7:30am, the cleaning crew removed our bed and bath linens before we were ready to check out...hadn't checked out yet. Never had that happen before.

Cockroaches crawled out of the alarm clock and the room reeked of cigarettes

Good location, nice room for the price and clean

It served the purpose of needing a last minute stay. Very close to on/off major highway.

The property is conveniently located near the interstate. The only thing I don't like is the pet rooms smell like wet dogs. I have stayed here twice and had to go out and purchase items to properly deoderize the room. Kudos to the staff during our last visit. My husband left his personal bag and they were honest and kind enough to call. Truly appreciated that. A great economy stay overall.

Quality inexpensive night stay

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The Quality Inn was conveniently located. It was pet friendly. The staff is friendly and efficient.

I did not get to stay and did not get a refund. Which is whatever, i understand i shouldve looked and saw i had to be 21 to check in. However the lady at the front desk the night of my check in was extremely rude in how she delivered it. Honestly that woman should not be working in any capacity where she has to communicate with other people.

Nice clean quiet

The room was clean and very quiet even though it was in such a busy area. The bed was a little firm. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient and the hot breakfast was a nice addition. I liked that it opened early every day.

Room had a terrible odor, air conditioner was very loud and came on every 5 minutes or so then shut off did this all night. Parking with a trailer is not ideal. Breakfast was fair. Didn’t like how bread and bagels were in ziplock bags.

The staff was excellent. We left a very expensive medication in the refrigerator by accident. The staff called within 30 minutes to tell us that we forgot it. And they were careful enough to move it into the office refrigerator.

The quality of the room was better than expected, though at 9 am after turning in my keys, and heading to a meeting for work I encountered an issue with my vehicle, and came back into the lobby to wait for approx an hour. Amy* at the front desk was extremely rude during a time I was vulnerable and even though it was acceptable for both my dog and I to enter the lobby during morning and breakfast hours for three consecutive days without any confrontation, all of a sudden since I had already turned in my keys during an emergency, I am not even allowed to sit in the air conditioned Lobby in the middle of July during a vehicular emergency. Extremely rude, and seemingly personally repulsive and vindictive behavior of front staff.

It sure doesn’t seem very close to down town. The closest restaurant was not good but the place was clean comfortable and our room was easily accessible. The breakfast was good!

The staff was great. This hotel is more of a motel. For a motel this is a good place but while booking it doesn’t say so. The room was slightly smelly and even the beds and blankets. This could be improved.

It’s decent but we had to switch rooms because our nonsmoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes. The woman at the desk switched our rooms to the other side of the building. The new room did not smell like smoke but had a different (bad) odor that I could deal with. The bathroom was clean and what you would expect for the price. Does the job if you need a cheap place to stay but I would avoid if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke or pet smell (they allow guests to bring dogs). The breakfast was really good in the morning, as well.

Don't be fooled by the exterior, the interior is well maintained and updated. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

My sheets had several pilled places and what looked like makeup stains on them. We had to unplug the TV or fridge in order to use the microwave. There was only analog TV, no cable. Housekeeping left a light on in our bathroom and we never found the switch to turn it off- so it stayed on for 24+ hours. The coffee in the room wasn't very good. The room looked dingy and dated.

Quality Inn resort right off I 95 in Fredericksburg. The check in was easy and quick. The room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom was recently remodeled. This Inn served breakfast for all guest included in price.

I was very very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and the comfort of my room. It is an accessible room that actually has everything that is needed. The staff is wonderful. They are pleasant, professional, and helpful. Breakfast was delicious this morning. And the motel is very close to stores and restaurants. Initially, I was only going to stay overnight, but I extended until tomorrow due to weather conditions. I am very satisfied with my lodging. The only issue is with the television channels, but it’s probably due to the rain. I would not hesitate to recommend quality inn, especially this specific location in Fredericksburg. The grounds are well kept and attractive.

The clerk at the desk was excellent, friendly and quick. The room was clean. Great size. Very nice exterior. Clean lobby. Nice breakfast. The only drawback is the room had a strong, strange smell, not cigarettes, I couldn’t figure out what it was. But not good. Hotel rooms shouldn’t have any scent, let alone a bad one.

Low priced and clean. However, trying to get a late checkout was a challenge, as on the phone and at check-in, nobody could say for sure. Said to check w manager in the morning, but the manager was not in. Was able to only stay 30 mins extra (was willing to pay a fee to stay to work longer but didn't allow). Otherwise the stay was fine.

The most important thing about our stay was easy access to I95, accepted dogs, staff was wonderful, and breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The unit was clean but the hotel was not up to the standards of some of the quality inns we have stayed at, but we would definitely stay there again

This is one of several hotels in the same area. Well maintained, but a little musty. Aging property that is clean and comfortable.

A fairly standard budget motel with a breakfast included. Clean and tidy. The only issue, which is not a reason to not book here, is the room numbers were very small and hard to see from a car when driving around to park outside
