Very close to Mary, Washington hospital and University. The hotel was clean but very bare decorating, Not warm, cozy or inviting.Breakfast was okay. They serve from 6 AM to 9 AM. And by 830, it was very picked over. Indoor pool was very cold.

Free, on-site parking, close to Giant Food grocery, other shopping, and restaurants. Right off Rt 1 and not far from I-95. Quiet property and rooms, nice breakfast, friendly staff, beautiful decor throughout, super comfy bed. We had a great stay and would come here again.

Food and night shift desk very nice. Was approached by an inebriated maintenance man asking for money for security protection. I told him I was good and he said while shrugging his shoulders, "OK ?" And walked away shaking his head and staring back at me as turned a corner. I told the desk and she said she wld walk me to my room and then take care of the problem.

The young lady who checked me min was sweet and helpful. I really liked the room although the view out of the window was not so nice. All in all, great stay, great place.

Pull out couch broken in first room. Second room was not clean- chips and popcorn all over the floor. Front desk didn’t know where to find a vacuum but had no other rooms so asked me to choose between the broken bed or the dirty room for the night. Staff was friendly but not very helpful.

Our stay at Hyatt Place was enjoyable and comfortable. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I wish, though, that individual microwaves were in the rooms. The hotel has one microwave in the lobby dining space for the use of all guests.

Beautiful large rooms, convenient location, and helpful, professional staff. We visited for UMW graduation and the hotel provided breakfast snack bags since breakfast started at the same time everyone needed to head to campus. We had a mixup with our reservation and the staff could not have been nicer and more helpful. 10/10 would recommend.

It was clean. Nice location & very friendly staff! One of the better hotels we have stayed at. The pool area was clean. Our room was very clean and our bathroom was as well. We had the king bedroom suit with the separate living room a kitchen area and even a balcony right off of the kitchen. The bathroom was huge and the shower was very nice. If traveling with kids I highly recommend the king bedroom suit! The breakfast was also great with great seating and provided high chairs for my little one. The area was very clean and even had a spot for eating out on the patio. We plan to return here when we travel to Fredericksburg again! Can’t say there was anything we didn’t like.

Asked for a new comforter as ours had hard spots throughout bc it was so old. We were given two sheets. No extra pillows when we requested and breakfast wasn’t the greatest either. Staff was friendly and pool was nice though

Perfect location! I was able to walk back and forth from the hospital to visit my family member. Sliding glass door separates toilet from room. Doesn’t feel private and toilet area light floods the room during overnight bathroom use.

They didn’t have extra wash cloths or blankets. The pool water was very cloudy.

The workers were grate Did not like the condition of the sheets they were low standard yellow and wrinkled. What ever happened to crispy clean and white iron sheets,the hospital sheets are way better condition.

When we booked our stay, we chose a room that had a kitchenette and therefore brought food to use during our stay. Upon check in, we did not have a kitchenette. We talked with the hotel staff but they said they can not adjust rooms booked on Expedia. Otherwise, our stay was good.

They took our towels but when we got back to the hotel that night nothing had been restocked. Called and had to go get towels but they only had 2 available and only one wash cloth. We had 4 in the room. The trash wasn’t taken out either. The hallway smelled like pot every night as well. The comforter had stains and huge tips in the sheets. Would not recommend!

The breakfast Buffett was hands down one of the best I have ever encountered while traveling. The homey touches of serving eggs in Dutch oven, cast iron pots was impressive and variety was not lacking. Ingredients seemed top shelf. Chiobani yogurt with a selection of toppings. This is our second time staying here. Overall we like it … the hotel, location, and convenience to historic Fredericksburg. Unfortunately the shower in our room this time was not very clean.

The room was OK, with a lot of room. TV and Internet were good. Parking was a problem. I had to park rather far away across a busy street. But the main problem was at night I could not find this Hyatt and had to drive all over the place until I finally got to the Hyatt with help from my GPS. The problem is that the hotel's sign ("Hyatt") was way up in the air, where I don't usually look. I should be able to see the name of the place by looking straight at it. Instead when I look straight I don't see Hyatt; I see instead Beltone. I needed a place to stay; I already have hearing aids that I use.

I loved staying at this hotel. Great location close to downtown. Friendly staff and clean facilities. I used the gym and the weights were all new, there was refillable water, and the treadmill worked. A lot of places will cut corners on these things. Also enjoyed the tea bar and coffee in the room. Will definitely stay again. Thank you!

The property is really clean. The rooms are very roomy. I liked everything about my stay. The breakfast was good. I have it a lower rating due to the sausage being undercooked. Other than that breakfast was very good.

The front desk was very helpful and the hotel was very clean! The room didn’t smell of pets have that typical hotel smell. I was very impressed.

Everyone was courteous and accommodating, and the suite was phenomenal! We traveled with our small dog, and the staff treated him like a valued guest. Thank you!

I was to tired to realize it was a hotel for Dogs so every time I used the bathroom or moved around the dogs were barking 2-4 of them one started they all started. Hyatt know for good hotels should have placed none dog people different section

Perfect hotel for traveling with teens. The hotel suite with 2 queen option was great, very spacious. The room was very clean and updated. The location was perfect for all the history locations we visited and close to food and shopping as well. The morning breakfast was included and it was a good selection of options. The only thing that we didn't like was, there was no microwave in the hotel room, only in the lobby. Which was a little inconvenient for my teens.

Great staff, great place, convenient

The hotel is laid out very nicely with easy access to parking, the pool, the outside patio, the food area and the front desk. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The breakfast staff was very good at keeping the food trays full and they were friendly too. The pool is clean and nice size, and fun for the kids especially. We’d like to see a “hearty” coffee along with the Regular. We’ll return to this hotel.

It's proximity to Old Town and the train station is great and the staff is amazing. They were so accomodating during check-in, upon my return at the end of the day, at breakfast, and when I needed to store some things there after check-out. They made me feel so at home. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I will always stay here when visiting Fredericksburg.

My husband and I stayed one night at a hotel in Fredericksburg, Virginia, as a midpoint on our drive home from Florida. Overall, the stay was clean and comfortable, and the room itself was cozy and well-kept. However, there was a noticeable musty smell in the room, which was a bit off-putting and ultimately the reason I rated our stay as “good” rather than “excellent.” We also had an issue with the TV when we arrived—it wouldn’t turn on because the previous guests had disconnected all the wires. Thankfully, the woman at the front desk was extremely helpful and came up to the room right away to get it working again, which we really appreciated. The hotel is located in a charming small college town, and the same front desk attendant recommended a few cute local spots to eat, which we enjoyed exploring. Despite the minor hiccups, the staff’s responsiveness and the area’s charm made for a pleasant overnight stay.

Mostly a great stay! Upon arrival I checked in after a very long drive because we are moving to the area. Went into my room and thought there was a huge black spider on the floor. It wasn't but instead a huge clump of hair. I called front desk and she did offer to come clean it but she was alone and had no help. After more inspection the bathroom was covered in black hair as of someone had cut their hair and left it. We chose this hotel for the indoor pool option and the 2 times we went down to have a swim it was cloudy and wasn't clean. We ask again the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do about it because they didn't have staff to help. Not a huge issue! But was disappointed. Breakfast was good. Staff was super nice. Room was mostly clean other than the hair. Great location.

Zoe was the working the front desk the afternoon we checked in. She was wonderful, and after a long, rough day of traveling, it was refreshing to have the last leg of our trip go smoothly. The entire staff from the front desk, kitchen and housekeeping were very friendly and helpful whenever we needed something (coffee, extra blankets, etc.). This location was very close to my family, and I will absolutely stay here again when I come to visit.

The staff and personnel really made the place. The front desk attendant who checked me in was lovely and kind. The same for some of the workers staffing breakfast and checking us out. They really were doing a great job with what they have to work with. The free breakfast was decent and what to be expected, a nice feature, much appreciated. However, the place is worn a bit, scuff marks on walls, stains on carpet, stain on bathmat (which also had a rip), and no modern outlets for usb or usb-c's, plugs didn't stay in bed wall outlet well. I did quickly think about bed bugs being a possibility but they're were none, thank goodness. It would have been nice not to have thought that though. Pool is a nice amenity but water was cloudy / no towels available. Its in a strip mall with a food store which could be conveinent. It was fine enough for a quick overnight while traveling but not sure if ill return.

The breakfast is good but dining area is small. When we asked for a one hour extension of our checkout time, they first reviewed our reservation then just said no.

It's just around the corner from a major grocery store. Its secure entry. It has two relaxation zones (a patio next to the diner and patio near the pool). Its quiet!! Yes! The room was spacious, comfortable and had a neutral smell (always a plus). The shower/bathroom was very clean and had plenty of towels, etc... The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work. The t.v. remote was dirty and there was no microwave in our room (I wanted to be fair and list the not-so-good).

Nice hotel, good breakfast

Hotel was fine. The room was spacious but reeked of stale smoke even though signs say it is a non smoking hotel. The bathroom and shower were rather dated. Lobby was uninviting with hard furniture and harsh lighting. Also doors closed so loudly which made it rather noisy. Not terrible but I don’t get all the rave reviews.

Sleeping in the room we were given. Went all the way back down with all 3 kids at 11pm to get a new room! That was so embarrassing and could have been really bad had those people been awake or anything else. My young kids were terrified! We wasted money on something to Sleep while driving from Florida to Connecticut.

Clean and affordable

The website indicated a restaurant on the premises but I was advised that due to thinness of staff, if I insisted, I could wait for one hour for someone to make a sandwich. But I was pleasantly surprised and admit that the room met my expectations for a Hyatt. Roomy, clean, renovated. Excellent Japanese place about 1/4 mile away - Umi - made up for the missing restaurant

I absolutely loved the property; it was spotless and well managed. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay again.

First of all, there needs to be at least two people working at the front desk in the evenings. One person in charge of checking people in, getting food for people at the bar, answering phones, and doing housekeeping services is unfair to not only the hotel employee, but the guests at the hotel because people are left waiting for longer than normal periods of time. Only one elevator was working. The hallways smelled like garbage or sewage. The carpets were stained. The bathroom outlet did not work. Housekeeping came too early and never returned.

Terrific stay. Everything was great. Zoe at front desk reception was amazing!

The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and courteous, checking us in efficiently. The room was clean, but there was an odd, musty odor that took some time to get used to. We did have our dog (labradoodle, very clean, no shedding), and I'm sure our room was one that is used exclusively for dogs. Perhaps the odor was from previous dogs that stayed in the room? Other than that, very nice hotel inside and out.

The property was passable, but not up to the standards I would expect for the price paid. The room smelled like a dog was there, breakfast was subpar at best. Oatmeal was like wall paper glue.

They have a nice breakfast set up.
