The staff are very friendly and professional. The facility is is well maintained! I will continue to stay here for my work.

Very good

I went into the lobby and had to bang on the counter to get someone's attention, only to be told that the room was not available. I was told I could get another room at an increased price. The lobby also had a terrible smell, and the elevator had an "Out of Order" sign. I told the attendant that I wanted to cancel the stay but was told she couldn't do that. I spent about one and one half hours on the Hotels.com app working my way through AI, one person and then a manager answering the same questions over and over before I was able to get the stay cancelled.

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Walking into the hotel it smelled terrible. Upon checking in I was told the elevator wasn’t working. This was a big inconvenience since I was traveling with children and we had to carry all of our bags up. The room smelled like cat pee. I had to find a Walmart to purchase cleaning supplies. All the lamps didn’t work and it was only one outlet in the room .I would not recommend stay at this location!!!!!
- 1.5/5
The location was good. There were many things. First of all the elevator was broken. Second they tried to charge me again once I already paid online via booking.com. I had no shower curtain in my room. There are no hangers in my room either. The free breakfast was terrible.

The elevator was broken, so we had to carry all of our luggage up the stairs ourselves. When we finally got to the room, it was filthy. There were holes in the bed sheets, crumbs all over the floor, and even a hole in the toilet seat. We found hair in the bed and crayon markings on lamp covers. To make matters worse, both the hallway leading to the room and the room itself smelled strongly of urine. I went downstairs to complain and request another room, but the staff told me there was “nothing they could do” and that no other rooms were available. There was no effort made to fix the situation or accommodate us in any way. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
- 1/5
I never leave bad reviews but this place was pretty rock bottom. From all the broken glass in the parking lot, the front desk attendant who reeked of body odor and acted like I was bothering her by checking in, to the room that smelled of mildew and dead bugs in the bed, the refrigerator that was so loud we couldn’t hear the tv. If I could leave zero stars I would. The worst I have probably ever stayed in. Oh and the elevator was out as well which is a mechanical issue, but just added to all the other issues with this place.
- 2/5
Didn't like that fact that the staff didn't warn us that the elevator wasn't working until after I paid! I had my elderly grandparents with me that have a hard time climbing steps! Also, they say they serve breakfast but they should be more specific because it's not full course it's only tea.. coffee.. oatmeal packs and maybe bagels. I advice to call and ask questions before booking.

Smelled like cigarettes, not a place to stay if you want to relax. I checked in, the elevator wasn’t working so I walked through the stairwell which smelled like urine and cigarettes before getting to my room. It seemed more like a poorly maintained apartment building than a hotel. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and there were loud arguments going on throughout multiple surrounding rooms. I actually left without checking out because i

Reception on night of 4/13 (morning of 4/14) should be commended. She was informative and friendly, even though I check in after midnight. Room was fine, but some attention to drainage fixtures in bathroom sink and having a functioning elevator (im quibbling a bit) Good value overall.

Elevators broken and mist doors inoperable. Refrigerators are out dated and doors open in the wrong direction to easily access.

Breakfast is only coffee & nutra grain bar.. there is no real breakfast here. Alarms sound on door before you can even get your suitcase in.. and there are people sleeping in cars outside in their parking lot.....

Do not stay here. The rooms are dirty. I arrived with no shower curtain, half a roll of toilet paper, the room smelled musty. I woke up at 1am and found the kitchen full of roaches. Hotel offered another room but if roaches are in one room, they are in the hotel. They’re huge roaches. Manager Would not refund money either. Terrible service and disgusting hotel.

Location and Staff Cleanliness. I saw a centipede in front of my room door which I had to move from my foot. Other than that everything else was clean.

We literally checked in went to our room , seen everything and checked out not even 5 minutes later . We wasted over $100 for a place me and my family couldn’t even stay at.

Units are old and out dated and smell like smoke.

I visit Frederick often for business and decided to splurge for a "nicer" hotel than what I usually pick. Overall, I was surprised with how shabby this property was compared with what I'm used to, especially the lack of amenities and the much higher price point. While room was clean, furniture was all mismatched and looked like it came from a thrift store. Everything sort of worked, at least. I have stayed in about a dozen different hotels around Frederick for the past year and this is by far the lowest-quality experience I've had.
- 4/5
Great staff.
- 5/5
Courteous Staff. Great location! Clean and neat!
- 4/5
Only complaint is too many pets! Dogs barking at all hours!
- 3/5
Burners in room didn't work very well. The staff at the desk when we arrived were not welcoming. The woman did not tell us about the breakfast, Internet service, etc. She was not knowledgeable about the property. She also did not understand how to add an additional night to our reservation. She was poorly trained and not the person who should be working at the front desk greeting customers.
- 2/5
the staff was good but it looks outdated and smells of cig smoke and musty

Great places
- 1/5
Extremely filthy property. Smells of urine. Homeless sleeping outside the property. Seems like a half way residence.
- 1/5
When we arrived, we were greeted right away. The check in process was easy. We got onto our floor to walk to our room. The ground had a lot of trash on it ans the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke and mildew. We got to our room and it looked clean. After a long car ride, we were looking forward to a nice warm shower. Well, there was not any hot water ans we were not informed when we arrived. So we had to take cold showers. When we woke up, we went down for brekfast and there was only coffee and 1 muffin left. So, we went and got our stuff, checked out (thats when we said there was no hot water and they said they were working on it) and then we went elsewhere for breakfast. This hotel is not for just an overnight stay, more geared towards long term hotel stays. We know to stay clear of this hotel chain for the future.
- 3/5
No breakfast, just coffee
- 1/5
We brought our things to the room and immediately turned around left. We were so disgusted we didn't even waste anymore time discussing our "stay".A refund of my expense would be all that I am asking for. Here are few more disgusting issues.1) Dirty diapers around the sidewalk outside.2) Not sure who they were but there were two women who clearly were not hotel staff loitering around the front door and lobby smoking cigarettes and cursing on their phones.3) Someone had kicked in the door to the refrigerator) Vending machine wouldn't "vend". Eleveator smeeled of cigarettes. Please, for the sake of fairness, refund my fees, please, and make sure that this hotel is no longer listed on your website!
- 3/5
Front desk can barley speak English has bad attitude and a lot of homeless people staying there for years at a time with bugs
- 1/5
Everything was relatively acceptable or comfortable, except that there are no smoking signs everywhere and our entire floor and room strongly smelled of cigarette smoke. Never coming here again
- 1/5
It is suitable for an extended stay on a budget or if you’re down on your luck (which I am). That being said, it is a great value for the cost. There is a kitchen but the bathrooms give me pause so I use flip flops and clean my own toilet when I stay. The staff are okay . You get what you pay for. For this stay, the front desk person was bold in her unprofessionalism- immediately escalating when I asked to have my room switched since it was directly above where the smokers stand . She went straight to 10 with how she wouldn’t do it because the issue was not inside of the room and couldn’t help that people smoke. See? Get what you pay for. When she finally relented- a smidge short of neck rolling, she put me on the other side of the same pavilion (entrance to the lobby). So instead of being left of the smokers, I am now right. I told her I would be writing a negative review for which she replied, “and, you’ll never stay here again”. She was encouraged to behave this way, promised that nothing would happen to her if she did, and tested the idea. She is a foreign laborer at a 2 star hotel but collectively with the support of other women fighting for women, she took her moment to show me who’s boss. When I complained about the slap in the face second room, she told me I could leave. I advised her not to speak but she did, confirming the threat. I’m recording you. Her demeanor changes. Not so fly now.
- 3/5
My only complaint was breakfast....very littler available. It was much better a few years ago.
- 5/5
Thank you
- 4/5
The Front Desk women were very helpful. My room was clean and convenient for entering and exiting the building.
- 1/5
The bathroom shower had no curtain and I didn’t notice till I woke up at 5am to shower for work and couldn’t shower . Had people in the parking lot with a dog till 11pm talking and dog barking .
- 5/5
Great staff! And clean rooms!
- 4/5
Dogs should not be allowed in every room.
- 5/5
The property is exceptionally clean . The management respect all . Just there for a couple of days cause my home was having renovations.
- 2/5
The entire place is poorly designed for access and accessibility. From not really having check in loading area, to the doors, to people sitting under the entrance smoking cigarettes, to an over sized luggage cart to having ridiculously narrow halls that the oversize luggage cart doen not fit or turn in. I can't imagine how bad.it would be to try to get a wheelchair into this place.
- 1/5
Room smell was unbearable
- 1/5
open air drug market. children running around the parking lot unattended all hours of the day and night. paper thin walls, people stampeding around all day and all night. no utensils, plates, bowls, cooking equipment in the kitchenette.
- 3/5
The property is in a nice area with lots of good shops and food. Unfortunately the property itself could use some attention to detail like trash around the building and stairways. The elevator was OOC for part of our stay also. The breakfast is minimal, plan to eat out or bring your own supplies.
- 4/5
The staff were very nice and helpful. The only thing I had a problem with was the bed. It is very, very firm so I didn’t sleep very well. Other than that it was a nice stay.
- 3/5
Room did not stink tho.
- 3/5
I booked this location because of it being pet friendly. When I booked the room through the app, there was no indication or field to specify I was bringing a small dog. Upon arrival the person at the reception desk saw our dog and said we didn't make a booking including our dog. At this point I had already paid. For a few seconds I thought we were going to be told we couldn't stay But we had just paid. Then I was told it was a $25 charge offered to stay with our dog. I feel like this was a huge case of bait and switch. The hotel was full of dogs and I wonder if they were greeted the same way. We would have been glad to leave and find another hotel.
- 1/5
Found a roach in the shower running all over the place that I had to kill. SMH. Would not recommend. Whole place smells not good either smells like body Oder
- 5/5
Good location and nice facility. A super value for the place
- 5/5
I needed a full kitchen and this room is perfect..it is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful
- 3/5
The outside of the property was well-maintained. The hallway had some trash that was never picked up during the entire three days we were there. The room we stayed in on the first floor was average. Definitely could use a deep cleaning and some air freshener.
- 1/5
The staff was often missing from the front desk, they did not provide the utensils promised, the refrigerator was old with rust and did not have a working interior light. The only paper products in the room was toilet paper.
- 1/5
No-smoking policy unenforced with elevator and hallways smelling of smokes and weed smells.
- 5/5
Great staff. I’ve stayed at many ESA locations and I love that they have two burner stoves so I don’t have to always eat out.
- 1/5
The entire hotel smells like mould. This is not a clean hotel. I immediately had hives after sitting in their recliner. Slept with my clothes on over the sheets and I'm not a germaphobe in any way. Some guests live there all the time. My neighbors expected compkete silence after 10pm and kept banging on the wall everytime I made the slightest noise. I got a look at them when arrived and they looked like meth heads. Lots of trash folks here. Pay extra and don't stay here. Like ever. Unless you're a trashy person yourself then, by all means, welcome home!!
- 1/5
Room 202 desperately !!!!!! Need a new mattress. Room 202 should have kitchen utensils. Should be able to get hard copy of bill even if booked through Expedia. Not the quality of an IHG hotel brand. Very disappointing
- 2/5
Its not a hotel for me that travel anymore. Its like apartment building with everyone living there with there dogs. No carpet on the floors. No rugs.
- 5/5
Excellent ambient
- 1/5
The moment we walked into this building we should have turned around and walked out. We checked in, our deadbolt on our room door was snapped in half. The stove looked like it was from the 80s. The room smelled of mildew and sweaty socks. We asked for a refund because we did not feel safe and were denied. Do not stay here.
- 5/5
Muy buena oportunidad
- 5/5
Very friendly staff much appreciated of all your hard work
- 4/5
It was a pleasant room with a good size fridge but had a weird smell in the room
- 5/5
The staff was awesome!!! The thermostat wasn't working correctly in the room and the general manager came to my room immediately and fixed it. Parking was easy and there were plenty of spots. Shopping is very nearby and so many choices... food, movies, shopping and activities. There is a cracker barrel nearby and also Sam's club with a fuel center. Those things are within a 5-minute drive. I was only there for one night but having the refrigerator and freezer was amazing. Everything was clean. The bed is a little stiff and of course that's not the hotels fault everyone has their own preference. I have back issues sorry thought I would include that thinking it might be helpful. All in all I definitely recommend this hotel. I was traveling alone and I felt safe and very comfortable. Thank you again for the hospitality of the staff.
- 2/5
Building is old..ceiling tiles in hall missing…sinks and kitchen are worn out. Left halfway through our stay we were so uncomfortable. Paid for 4 notes and stayed only two. Had an issue and the desk clerk could not understand me (I speak English)
- 4/5
Stay was fine they need more selection on their grab and go breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. Dislike the biweekly cleaning of the rooms. I enjoy my stay feel safe

Everything went very well at checkin
- 3/5
There were some people talking on the hallway and the bedroom didn’t smell clean
- 5/5
The one lady at the front desk(she was there most of the afternoons/evenings/nights and she was incredibly kind and helpful. The other front desk staff, I didn’t really get a chance to have a conversation with them, but they were cordial.
- 2/5
There are much better hotels in this very lovely part of Frederick. The bed was soft and uncomfortable. Totaly bare floor which was not clean. The A/C was noisy.
- 1/5
The smell was unpleasant and the towels were dingy and thin. I had to go buy towels and the water pressure was faint in room 216. Kitchen with no dishes and the sheets were extremely thin and felt disgusting. This hotel has declined tremendously compared to my stay in 2018. Never again….:the hallways smelled like curry.
- 2/5
Lobby, halls and bedroom seemed pretty clean. A little dusty under the bed and on furniture surfaces and headboard. The bathroom was just sad. The shower was just a basic open shell with a rod and shower curtain and the accessible component was a slotted wooden drop-down bench. I'd expect that at a campground not a hotel. My friend and I decided we didn't want to use the shower and would wait to get home. The really bad defect was the 1" by 3" rusty and dirty stain on the floor in the back corner under the sink. There was a card stating that you could get a "comfort package?" with dishes, cups, dishcloth and dish soap but you had to ask for it. We didn't need all that for our stay but they could have put, at least, some plastic drinking cups individually wrapped for us to use for our drinks and also water to take pills or brush our teeth.
- 4/5
The room was very spacious. Kitchenette needs a lit bit of updating. Overall, very convenient and a lot of restaurants and shops in the area.
- 3/5
The property needs more staff. The front desk was often under staffed or no one was there.
- 1/5
Shower was not good at all you have to begging for water to Shower
- 4/5
Great place
- 1/5
Not so good
- 2/5
The room itself smelled like cat urine strongly. The bathroom did smell clean however there was clump of hair on the cutrain and more on the small shelf for soap. It also looked as though the tables by the bed were not wiped as they had something spilled on them that we were able to wipe up.
- 1/5
We asked for help to change our reservations and were given wrong information at the desk, resulting in being charged for an extra night we did not stay there. We tried to negotiate, but the hotel refused to return our money even tho we explained we were following the direction given to us from the front desk. It was horrible!
- 5/5
The absolute best hotel in Frederick currently!!! Sidiqi and Sushma are the best hotel management I’ve ever come across! Please don’t hestitate to bring your family and book this hotel! Bobby the maintenance man and the cleaning staff go above and beyond! Such an amazing place to stay with excellent staff
- 1/5
Entire hotel smells like mold and cigarettes. Stains all over the counters and fridge. Hotel front desk is rarely there and when they are they seem annoyed by you. Stay elsewhere

My room smell like piss and the lobby smells like curry.
- 1/5
I experienced discrimination from the staff at the desk and from a guest in the lobby. I will never recommend anyone to stay there
- 1/5
Staff was horrible I booked 3 rooms and we were all disappointed we spent most of the time at the Residents Inn across the way! Property Management needs to spend more time there! Needless to say that we will never go back there! And we travel a lot ..
- 3/5
Exhaust fan not working Sink leaked Tub leaked The thermostats on the wall was broken but the thermostats on the AC said not to control it from there The paint was chipping from the ceiling Sheets dirty Floor dirty The TV was at eye level and hard to watch from the bed Condensation from the shower because the exhaust fan didn’t work actually created a water puddle on the floor There was no positives to this stay and way over priced. Do not like the pictures make you think they are good because it’s not.
- 1/5
I would not recommend staying here. The room itself was sad. Light fixtures were in disarray. No USB chargers. Front desk didn't have any spare USB blocks. The AC rattled when it was on. No ice machine. Vending machine was wonky. Two plastic cups were in the bathroom. At checkout the manager hardly paid attention until I told him I wanted to check out. Could not wait to get out of there.
- 3/5
We also asked for a map that would show their location on the map. They were not able to identify where they were on the map.

It took the one person checking in guest over 20 min to check in the two in front of me(didn’t help that the first customer could not understand a word spoken to her -employees please be able to speak clearly to communicate with your customers and not be frustrated when customer doesn’t understand you.) (also need more than one person to check guest in) Carpet in front was worn and had ripples in it.the smell in front area and halls was musty and rank. The smell of pot in the parking lot did not make me feel safe. Room has full fridge , very small microwave, small counter with sink.( not stocked with anything- so no coffee maker, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, utensils, dish ware, pots and pans . I mean nothing! Icing on the cake was they do not have an ice machine- what hotel doesn’t have an ice machine? Them! ( no ice trays in room to even try to make ice. It is a basic room that if you want anything you better bring it or go buy it. Will gladly pay more to get basic amenities hotels normally have , evey hotel ever stayed but here. Definitely lower tier chain. Will never stay here again. Very disappointed in lack of customer service and lack to be helpful.
- 1/5
I have many pictures that I took of the bathroom, dust ruffles around the bed chair at desk and the floor was very dirty. I walked around in my white socks for a few minutes and they are filthy. I felt this room other than the beds was unfit for human habitation. I’m going to send copies of my pictures to your corporate office or to whoever is in charge of Extended Stay of America.

Unfortunately, I was seeking a hotel to stay for 2 weeks. The room smelled horrible as well as the hallways. The bed was not a queen size bed, maybe a double and very uncomfortable. The refrigerator, stovetop and cabinets were disgusting. The bathroom toilet was loose, the shower curtain was dirty. I LITERALLY laid sat up, fully clothed hoodie and socks to cover my entire body all night long. I was trying to find another hotel close by. By check out time, I finally said forget it and just took this lost to go stay where the pay is high but the quality is comfortable. I can say that this was a last minute decision for me, so I can not say others may like this hotel, so I wouldn't completely rule it out, for others. I just learned, for myself, this hotel is a NO NO for any near or future plans.
- 3/5
It appears there are long term guests staying in this facility, it appears more like an residential apartment complex than a hotel. Advertised as breakfast included but we were told at the check in that it was grab and go, when we went during the breakfast hours, the table was empty - the receptionist told us that there didn't receive the delivery. Bed and shower were ok.
- 4/5
Air conditioning unit worked well but the fan was very loud.
- 5/5
Perfect for us. Stayed overnight and it was clean with a comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and professional.
- 3/5
Room was well used by many. Bureau draws were broken, wire racks instead of a closet. Towels were thin and scratchy but you could trade in used towels at the desk for clean ones. One tiny tube with shampoo (enough for one person to use once). Beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. No daily trash service. Room came with a large refrigerator, small cook top, a microwave and a sink for dishes. That made it easy to purchase food for a multiple night stay. If you're looking for a utilitarian space to save a few dollars this will do but it's not what you get in a hotel.
- 3/5
The doors to get into the hotel were not the automatic sliding doors, and since I was traveling alone, it was hard to open the doors and pull my suitcase at the same time. Despite the entryway/front desk area smelling like weed and perfume, the rooms were clean. Customer service was good, they even called after I got to my room to ensure there were no problems. It’s definitely dated, but there was nothing wrong with the rooms. I was happy with the stay.
- 3/5
Bed, kitchen, and bath facilities were clean. However, carpet had spots, door to the bathroom needed to be wiped down, and the room decor (walls and curtains) just seemed overdue for cleaning.

Excellent place to stay with the family, the kitchen is A
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Short and sweet. The person who checked us in was outstanding.
- 5/5
This was a great value for a comfortable, no frills, clean, safe, comfortable bed, safe area, easy parking place to stay. Not a luxury hotel, but not disappointing either. The kitchen was clean, everything worked. Also, air conditioning was quiet while running.
- 1/5
Doesn’t look like pictures- more dated, smaller rooms, everything smells bad
