Night person not friendly . Kind of rude when asked questions. Told me to take garbage to dumpster. Noone came to get trash or clean or bring new towels. was there since Thursday. Cleaning staff was nice when I asked for a broom. to clean up the floor after 2 days of a 4 yr old. Price for market a little expensive.

My husband and I have stayed here a few times visiting family. The room and hotel usually amazingly clean. This time we felt our room could been cleaner, felt rushed. Some the dishes were still dirty in the dishwasher, bathroom had weird smell, and their was stain on our sheets. We are hope this is just a miss stay well hope next time is better.

Location was great, beds were super comfy. Check in was a breeze. No loud noises making it through the rooms. Parking was a breeze. Shower was great, lots of pressure. Ample space in the bathroom, and amenitities in there.

That it is wood floors, microwave and cold refrigerator. It's quiet and peaceful outside. Not enough towels, the carpet needs to be cleaned on the stairs but I prefer pulling it out. No, there's no bar or restaurant in the building and I like it ,but wish it had a lounge aera.

It located in good area. The smell of the hallway and the rooms was not clean enough. They have indoor swimming pool but no heat which is horrible and some people were smoking weed behind the building making me feel unsafe.

Room and staff really nice, there’s packaged food for purchase and nice restaurants within walking distance but no restaurant in the hotel or continental breakfast. I thought that was a little confusing

Room was clean. We only stayed one night and didn't use the laundry service.

The staff was very friendly! Our room was bigger and cleaner than we expected. It was a huge value for the price we paid. Our kids enjoyed the pool but it was definitely on the cold side and the pool towels ran out. If you heat the pool about 10 more degrees (or get a hot tub) and put some sound barriers on the walls, you'd be the G.O.A.T!!

The manager fails to assume responsibility errors of 3rd party scheduling applications. A 3rd party application failed to provide a confirmation number resulting in the need to find another hotel. Whether this is a rigidity on the manager or the corporate leadership, this is a risk I will not assume in my future travel planning.

Everything was dirty. One of the rooms smelt really bad because there was old food that was left. The floors felt nasty, I literallyh ad to clean them. Staff just left the trash outside my door the whole weekend! There was no bedding for the pullout. I had to go all the way back downstairs to get them myself and it took a while after I called the front asking for bedding. The place was dirty. All the dishes literally had old food on them. Some of the towels had stains. I thought this place was new.

Orbitz and Website said Indoor pool and continental breakfast and pics showed big breakfast display. However at check-in...NO CONTINENTAL Breakfast, You must pay for Anything! And Pool CLOSED "for maintenance" (ALL WEEKEND!). Two main reasons I had selected this hotel -Pool & Breakfast. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. THEY ALSO TRIED TO CHARGE ME AFTER I HAD ALREADY PAID ON ORBITZ. THIS WAS ALSO THE FIRST TIME IN 20 YEARS I PAID MORE ON ORBITZ THAN WHAT THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME A SECOND TIME. (Their website said there was NO VACANCY, so I had booked on Orbitz) **BEWARE** Very shifty and deceptive marketing and hostile employee when I expressed my discontent.

Room was clean but shower had spots on the wall. AC was excellent, room was spacious, bed was very comfortable. Bottom floor/accessible room was very noisy as it was close to the check in desk, ice machine and smokers patio directly outside the window.

Great hotel for the money, slightly further from the highways than the Marriott compound in town but worth the drive for the value. The rooms are very large, with a full kitchen including a cooktop. Our King room had a recliner as well. The bed was firm; the water pressure was great; the floors were clean hard surfaces so no mystery stains! On the other hand, the pool was out of order.

I am working in Frederick for the next few months and am loving my stay at Candlewood! My suite is nice, comfortable, and perfect for my needs! I have had ZERO issues. As a female staying alone, I feel 100% safe here. The staff are all extremely friendly, welcoming, professional and very accommodating. So far the other guests I have encountered have been kind and quiet. The hotel is in the process of being updated, but if you didn't know work was being done, you'd have no idea. There have been no inconveniences or disturbances from the work going on. This hotel and the people there make having to work far away from home much more tolerable.

Only minor with the shower tap being a bit tight and the shower doors difficult to slide and keep in place. Extra $8 for parking.

They are remodeling and in the middle of that project, however the room they gave was dirty, smelled bad, tub faucet leaked constantly (we were there for 3 nights) curtains were torn and was just not a pleasant experience. Didnt expect the room to be all remodeled and updated but didnt expect how bad of shape the room they did give is would be.

Couldn't use the bathroom. Ceiling leaking brown fluid in the restroom. Water in tub/shower would not turn off. Semen stain on the couch. Mold made me lose my voice only being in the environment for 10 hours. and the first front desk person only offered us a choice of disinfectant to cover up the smell instead of a new room at the sister property next door.

Location was convenient to everything we needed. The 6:30 AM start of construction/demolition! I stayed here 5 months ago and it was ongoing then too! When will the renovations be done? Talking with another guest and was told it has been over a year since they started but never really see the results? Bathroom & kitchen cabinets were dirty. Inside the kitchen cabinet under sink was a spill like old coffee that was never cleaned. Staff not very welcoming. Day shift Manager quite rude. Probably will not stay here again as there are many other choices. Pet policy is another reason, I'm usually never charged additional fees for my dog. I will book places that DO NOT ADD ON.

Nothing We found a bed bug then they told us they'd switch rooms and refund us the next day. The employee working was rude and asked questions over and over like are you having a party. No pets. No guest. The drawers were broken and walls dirty. It was not a good place to stay.

The edges of the floors had dirt Not to mention there were cockroaches that I’m praying we didn’t bring home.the beds are horrible as well killed our backs It’s a shame it wasn’t cleaner because the room has an awesome set up it was nice to have a stove, refrigerator, sink etc. saved money being able to cook in room but had to be careful roaches didn’t get in the food they were accommodating when it came to our dog they made sure our room was near the door and that meant alot to us and we enjoyed the pool

Location was fine but other than that there was nothing positive. Dirty room, strong odor, horrible pillows, bed hard as a rock, poor customer service, pool was very dirty, I could go on and on. We left at 1am we couldn’t stand it anymore.

Was not made aware that the property was under renovation when booking. Construction debris had come into my room through the windows and was not cleaned up. There were dirty towels in the bathroom, boogers smeared on the bathroom pocket door. The pull-out couch bed had no sheets exposing a stained mattress. The top of the fridge had a layer of filth on it along with what looked like water stains. The tiny pillows on the bed were small throw pillows, not actual bed pillows. The pool had nowhere to sit around it with a disintegrated life preserver. There was other guest smoking on our floor as the whole floor smelled like cigarettes. My kids and I left after the first night when the air conditioner died. Wasn't even worth arguing to get reimbursed for the second night that I had prepaid for, we just wanted to leave. Will never stay there again.

Staff here are very nice. Rooms dirty, doors to bathroom damaged. Appeared kicked in damage., floors filthy. Complimentary breakfast not what the pictures showed. I would have like to be told th hotel was under major construction before booking. A lot of missed or flatout lies while booking this hotel. I will never book through expedia again as this information on the site was really not accurate. I will also never go to this hotel again.

The hotel is under construction so I was awakened by the contractor installing a heating/ cooling unit outside my room and he was working in the wall connected to my room. I had to use the bathroom in the lobby because my toilet didn’t work and there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. I think once construction is done it will be wonderful but right now it is not.

This place was beyond terrible. The bathroom door was filthy dirty. The walls were partially painted, the tub didn’t drain well, the closet’s door was missing. Please do not go here.

Hotel was not great. They are working on updates currently. Common areas, elevator as well as our non smoking room smelled of smoke and mildew.

Property under outdoor cosmetic construction but this did not affect my rating. The only thing I didn’t care for were the half-sized bed pillows.

Checked in at 9ish after being out in the heat (100degrees) for 8 hours went to the room the ac didn’t work thermostat said 80 degrees in the room, comforter had stains on it, and the sheets were old. Told the front desk he said no maintenance or housekeeper on duty so deal with it. We left and went to a different hotel but mainstay wouldn’t give us our money back.

We needed s place that allowed dogs. Since this also meant we would be eating several meals in room, having a mini kitchen setup was helpful.

They were doing construction a facelift which was outside my window. The closet door was broke and would not close properly. The sofa/bed sat so low that the coffee table was taller than the couch making it very difficult toget up. Twice i slipped getting into the tub and they had no safety bar to hold on to get in snd out the tub. The full size refrigerator was nice and having the microwave also.i did not use the oven and it had a small dining table which was nice.

I arrived 2 hours early. I checked in with the desk. Since check-in was technically at 3:00, I asked what time I should return? The gentleman at the desk accommodated me immediately! I was so relieved, that I could settle in and rest from a long trip. He was polite, professional and efficient. It was a great experience working with the staff, even on the day of check-out.

We chose this hotel partly so we could enjoy the pool with our kids. The pool was cold and only had one chair in the entire pool area, besides a few broken chaise lounge chairs in the corner. The man at the desk did mention that they are about to begin renovations so, if true, that will be necessary and worth it. The overall feel of the place was that it’s not currently being cared for to a standard that would make guests enjoy their stay or want to return.

Accomadations were good. Nice kitchen are, full size refridgertor, and dishwasher, apartment size stove. Room was nicely laid out and comfortable.

Staff were all very welcoming, polite, and friendly. The gentlemen who checked us in was kind enough to put us close to the exit with the dog area, as well as close to our family. The room was decently clean, a little dusty though. There were only three pillows provided for a queen bed that were the size of throw pillows?! Location was great, about, about 10 minutes from downtown. We would likely stay there again if the price was right.

I like the suite. Everyone is friendly, but just feel the need for everyone to understand circumstances even if it is a business.

Indoor pool was cold as ice and we reserved this room at this hotel so my daughter could swim. I didn't bother asking the staff why their indoor pool was not heated but I am sure that the heater was broken. We did not attempt to swim in the cold pool. I am disappointed we could have gotten a hotel with a pool so my daughter could swim. Most indoor pools are HEATED. I would say if you advertise your property with a pool that you should upkeep the condition. I would consider this false advertising.

Came up to visit my brother who actually lives a half hour from this motel. It was a nice trip and very relax. Had a room near the pool, which was very convenient. If I had one small grip it was the remote for the TV was not working very good. Had to press the buttons really hard.

We have stayed here before, and it's fine. Carpets need cleaning, stairway smelled bad. The toilet in our room had been used and not flushed. The rooms are dated, and need a deep cleaning. It is one of the few pet friendly hotels in the surrounding area. We appreciate that.

The beds gave us back aches bad enough we left 7 am Sunday morning. The pool was Freezing and had not chairs to sit in. The room did not have a working toilet, and we could not be moved because the hotel was full. No maintenance person available. I had cigarette burns in my bedding. The air conditioner whistled all night. I will never stay here again and will file a former complaint.

The room was relatively clean but with the disrepair no amount of cleaning would make the room presentable. The kitchenette and bathroom cabinets had large sections of pealing laminate. The height of the toilet was below normal and there was rust around the base. I couldnt sit on the couch (maybe a sleep sofa) because it was very dirty . The coating on the pans was chipping and not safe for cooking/eatting. The room key didnt work consistently. In general, disappointing and recomment people dont waste their $ on a stay here. Not pleasant!.

Hotel is very close to shops, restaurants and very nicely centered in the middle. Breakfast was basic, but good. The pool is clean, but the pool area is very old and messy. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet.

It's a nice hotel, my only issue is the ac/heater in the rooms could use some maintenance, they were noisy in more than two different rooms. Makes it hard to get a good night's sleep with a whirling fan motor making noise in your room.
