Room was warm AC did not work very well and also fans in bathroom don't work. I brought it up to front desk and all they said was fans don't work in bathroom. Didn't offer to fix it at all. In hallway outside room it was very hot no AC at all. Hotel is old and it shows

I took my family to stay in the Bay Area for the weekend for my nieces birthday. We always stay at this hotel because of the indoor pool and complimentary breakfast. When we arrived in the room the ice bucket had mold in it like it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. The sink still had hair in it like the previous guest shaved their facial hair all in it. So that wasn’t cleaned either. And the shower wouldn’t stop dripping even when we turned it off, so we heard the drip noise all night. The breakfast ended at 9:30am which seemed a bit early. Which caused us to pay for the brunch for a family of 4. At $60/person it was an expensive meal. I usually stay at Crowne Plaza in Foster when visiting the Bay Area. After this last stay I don’t think we will be returning.

Its location for work is perfect. Saved me renting a car. I made an error in my booking the staff were great in sorting it all out. The elevators are being repaired so queues built up. It’s a decent hotel but the cost is steep.

1) I need to print something out at the business center, and not only were the computers not working, the printer was only connected to one of the two computers. It took two members of staff 15 minutes so I could get something printed. Additionally, the wifi was weak and spotty, further causing the delays. 2) The drain in my bathtub was not working properly. My shower water did not drain in a reasonable amount of time and I left for an event, fully dressed in suit and tie, with the water still in the tub. It's a great hotel, but not getting the details right make it not worth the price.

Only stayed for an evening since we went to a theatre show nearby but our stay was fantastic! My wife and I were a little unclear on how to get into the Bistro for dinner from the hotel side but we eventually found our way. Absolutely would stay again if we are in Foster City again!

Check-in/out was easy. The room was comfortable and quiet.

When in the Bay Area it’s my go-to great whether I’m attending the bar or entertaining the kids at the pool.

As a professional in management, I find the service disconnect at this establishment to be a significant concern. On one hand, the housekeeping and room maintenance are exceptional; the room was immaculate, comfortable, and met every professional standard I would expect for a high-end stay. However, the management in the entertainment sector—specifically the nightclub manager, Miguel—was a complete disappointment. His behavior was confrontational and entirely unprofessional. In a hospitality environment, conflict resolution and de-escalation are basic leadership requirements, yet Miguel’s approach created an unnecessary liability for the hotel. It is rare to see such a high standard of care in the guest rooms paired with such a blatant failure of leadership in the common areas. While the cleaning crew is doing their job perfectly, the management in the club is undermining the entire guest experience.

However, the management in the entertainment sector—specifically the nightclub manager, Miguel—was a complete disappointment. His behavior was confrontational and entirely unprofessional. Came into the city for business conference. Not too close nor too far from the airport. There are several marts in walking distance and a big mall in 10-15 mins drive. The free social networking at 5 pm on Tuesday was very nice, free wine and bites. People were kind, the room was clean enough. Pleasant stay overall. The hotel is relatively old. Although they were clean, facilities are a bit old. Also, wish it had better water pressure.

Hot tub was broken. And they didnt have any meat for the omelets at breakfast. Only vegitarian. Staff at breakfast is amazing.

Property itself is good. The linens on the beds were not fresh, they appeared to have been re-used instead of turned down properly and changed out. Front desk ladies and cleaners were friendly. Rooms could use a vacuum instead of just a swifter - hair was evident throughout the carpeted areas.

Pillows were too big not comfortable. Also the hot tub out of order.

Very nice and clean. Bed was decent and the room really comfortable. My room looked out over highway 92 and I’m now very aware that people start commuting around 4am. They tried to make it better with big double glass windows and decent insulation but 92 is a very loud road.

I didn’t sleep after my gala night and I can’t relax event Daly because of the freeway noise I don’t like when I called and tell them about the noise because I need to sleep they didn’t come and check the window

Staff at the restaurant and bistro for an event we attended were not the kindest or most accommodating to our group. Many guests reserved rooms to stay overnight and the hosts of the event were wrongfully mistreated, denied requests and were unhelpful in ensuring that the room under contract would have appropriate turnover of plates and glassware

Everything and everyone was great! I had my family over from New Zealand and I wanted them to have a luxurious experience and Crowne Plaza Foster City did just that! From the clean rooms, great receptionists. breakfast buffet, club and smiles all day! You do not need to go anywhere else. If I can I would give them 10 stars.

The service at breakfast was very good. Construction was going on in the parking lot. We were put in a separate building away from the main hotel and had to walk a long way to the main part of the hotel.

Breakfast buffet is amazing. Staff fantastic. Especially Gerardo, Rafael, Martha, the two men bussing/setting and Maria. It felt like home away from home. Rooms really clean and great beds. Also freeway access to SF and coast right around the corner. And Panera and Habit one block away. Honestly, can't think of anything

The beds were exceptional with warm enough blankets and delightful pillows. The blackout curtains were very effective. It was very quiet. I loved the toiletries provided. No affordable breakfast option. Parking was tricky.

This was a small thing but it dampened our otherwise good experience. We sprang for a suite and it came with a beautiful kitchenette but the water dispenser in the fridge was broken. We asked if they could fix it and they said no and that we hadn’t paid for it specifically so we could either go fill our own water at the gym fountain or buy it from somewhere. We ended up driving to target to buy it but it felt weird that they didn’t even offer to at least give us a few water bottles that they had at reception, which would’ve cost them a couple of dollars at most to make up for giving us a broken appliance. Really broke the hospitality vibe to be spoken to that rudely. But she may have been new and still training so it’s okay - the rest of the staff including the wait staff at the restaurant was amazing, so kudos to everyone else keeping the hotel experience great!

I decided to rent a room my cousin was celebrating her 50th birthday at the Bistro dinner drinks and dancing, relaxation was the agenda for the weekend. I had also purchased the breakfast for Sunday morning .Ater a long day of work I brought myself bottled water and refreshments to enjoy while I was getting ready before dinner get to my room on the third floor and the ice machines are out of order mind you I am handicap and have trouble walking so no refreshments for me after being told to go to the 4th floor for ice. Headed downstairs to dinner I ordered my dinner about 7:45PM 8 PM and didn’t receive my dinner until 10 PM that was after I had asked the waitress twice where my order was. The manager and waitress assigned to our party both were very short and rude with our party. After the bar closed went upstairs to TV not working I called the front desk and was told to unplug the tv and plug it back in again I am disabled and can’t move the TV stand. The next day around 11AM check out is at 12PM. I was getting ready to head down to check out at that point the maintenance shows up asking to come in to fix the TV

I had an excellent stay! The front desk staff were awesome—so welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. Every employee I encountered was friendly and professional, which made the experience even better. The hotel was spotless, the location was perfect, and everything exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

It's a beautiful hotel!! There is renovation going on we had one of the rooms that was recently done!! Only thing first morning we were waken by workers using drills not sure if they were working on a room nextdoor or above us!!!

Stay was great except when I booked room I picked onecwith sofabed, when i called downstairs they stated they no longer had sofabeds. Yet our friends whom had rooms next to us both had sofabeds. Luckly they did offer and brought us a rolling bed.

It’s a nice hotel but our room had leaks in the shower door that put a lot of water on the floor, the hotel fixed it but still it’s a pain. The second leak was from the A/C and the carpet all around the a/c was very wet.

My room was annoying loud next to fans (compression) - the buzzing was terrible from the second I entered the room until I left. I would never go back to this hotel. Even with ear plugs in, it was miserible.

Room wasn’t ready for check in time at 3, after I called to ask if we could check in early and was told yes. Then the pool was out of service and that was why we booked here. And it had a funky smell in the lobby. Maybe from a pond located there. Didn’t stay. Booked elsewhere.

Had a great experience checking in and Glen was very helpful. Breakfast buffet was great and even had some Asian congee available as well. We had a very responsive waitress. Would have been nice to get a better view from my room but still a great hotel. Also learned that they have a nightclub on the weekends as well.

I love this hotel the only thing I don’t like the breakfast its so over priced. I paid 30 dollars for coffee and 2 pieces of pastry and the brunch is 60 dollars.

Great experience

Lobby was very nice, rooms were a little dated, but comfortable. The restaurant/"night club" was trying to hard with their dress code. I just wanted some food and didn't have a dress shirt or pants because I was on a hiking vacation. I spent the night there just to catch a plane the next day. They take themselves a little too seriously for an inexpensive hotel.

Nice hotel. Stayed on 4th floor second tower. Tv had no signal, shower wasn’t all that cleaned.

Didn’t like the shower, they should fix the handle of the shower. It’s hard to turn and couldn’t control hot and cold water.

Bed was very comfortable. Location was great for where I needed to go.

Connect to 101! Blackout shades, many popular cable channels on TV I didn’t see MTV or TLC or Lifetime but there were many others suitable or just connect your mobile device (android) so me it’s a Samsung TV with mirroring it. Breakfast buffet $25.00per person was a bit high but it was a Sunday so not sure if it’s their regular price but it wasn’t that bad and mimosas for $16 per person. There is a pool on lower level and a small gym on the 4th floor with many ellipticals machines. The few things I wasn’t too fond of was the squeaky King Sized bed which squeaked every move I made esp when I first sat down. The toilet made a loud Sound every 15-20 mins not sure what that was about. And being across from The ice machine although the 4th floor showed as a quiet zone, I can hear the sounds of water Being poured out from the ice machine very now and then. Other than that I don’t really have any complaints but the squeaky bed. It wasn’t enough of an issue to contact the front desk about, overall I did enjoy my stay.

I am staying at the Crown Plaza San Mateo on business. After I checked in, I got ready for bed because I was tired and needed to go to work early the next morning. It is 10pm and I am falling asleep only to be startled by someone else walking into my room. I quickly yelled at this person and asked who they are. Apparently it is another guest and the staff gave my room to another person. Now I am upset, can’t sleep thinking other people might come inside my room. Worst hotel experience.

My room was conveniently located near the elevator and ice machine. Room 350. But the air conditioner did not work so the room was very hot. I complained to the front desk and they sent a maintenance guy up. He said he reset the air conditioner. It worked fine for a while but it stopped in the middle of the night. I was sweating so much.
