Reviews
The hotel is in a prime location with friendly and helpful staff, but it is undergoing renovations which has led to the closure of some amenities such as the rooftop bar and pool. Some guests have also reported issues with cleanliness and noise.

Lack of self parking in property. Your options are parking on the street or valet at $30.00 a night or a parking garage about a block from the hotel. No complimentary breakfast in property.
- 5/5
Parking can be an issue, but the valet service is very convenient and very helpful.

Annette and Velshi are wonderful stay at least twice a month always nice stay the staff is super helpful love you guys

Amazing location. It’s right in the heart of downtown, close to many attractions, restaurants, shops and super walkable. I have to give a big kudos to Mark the amazing maintenance guy for taking care of my AC so quickly, he was super friendly! Slow elevator and lobby is very hot—it can feel uncomfortable if you have to wait in line because you’ll sweat and feel the humidity.

Lady at the front desk was absolutely rude and unhelpful. I had paid for my room already, had the receipt, saw the charge on my account but she insisted I hadn't paid. She would not give me my room key and would not get the manager. I was forced to pay again and involve expedia. Expedia contacted the front desk at the hotel and after making them wait (and me) for over 30 mins, told Expedia she was the only one working and too busy to answer their questions. Keep in mind I was standing in the lobby the whole time and no one was there checking in but me.

I love the hotel. Our room was beautiful and the staff was great, but the bed is absolutely miserable. Hard as a rock and the sheets and mattress cover were not fitting properly. They seemed way too small for the mattress. It kept coming off in the middle of the night, I complained they told me they fixed it. The same thing happened the next night. It is very miserable sleeping on a bare mattress. They need to get better bedding. I will not stay at this hotel again because the beds are terrible.

Furniture by pool was very beat up. There were no umbrellas or other amenities by the pool. All ice machines on all floors didn’t work. Housekeeping didn’t come one day. When they came they did not do a thorough job.

The hotel was very nice - a little hard to find because the lobby is past an area that houses several restaurants.

Love this Hotel!

Convenient location. Somewhat inconvenient parking. Somewhat dated. Shower was nice.

The room was sparse. They used older air/heat units that worked. The water out of the sink ran brown at first. The shower temp was unregulated and was either burning you or freezing you. You did not have to touch the handle it changed temp on its own accord. The ice maker did not work on our floor. I will never be back.

Location Understaffed I thought it was going to be a fun boutique hotel, but it was very sterile. Rooftop bar was closed when we arrived.

It was concerning that on one of your busiest weekends you had one person working breakfast. He was taking orders, cooking, running the food, bussing then washing the dishes. He had a great attitude and did a great job but as a company not fair to him or your guests. Our room was spacious and clean but water was hard to regulate. It was either very hot or dropped out cold. Also you have holes cut in the walls to run wires and no covers or patches. The rooms did not feel complete. Again staff and location was excellent but room and staffing issues stop me from giving you a higher rating. Thanks.
- 4/5
Good location in the centre and comfortable, spacious rooms. Also really neat and tidy. At 4 AM the garbage collection in the street started, afterwards the cleaning of the streets. So you are awake from that time. Not the fault of the hotel but a room given out on the street (first floor) is not the best option here.

Great location with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Our room and bathroom were incredibly spacious and there was a balcony where we could sit and enjoy the view. The lobby area was more like a pass through for people walking from one street to the next. Coffee and tea were only available in the morning. Breakfast was an extra charge. The bottom sheet on our bed was too small and pulled out constantly.

Great location downtown. Everything is right out the front door and there is a lot in that building. Really nice room.
- 4/5
Room very clean and comfortable. The water pressure and too cool was a negative
- 5/5
Room was clean Staff was excellent
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff.
- 3/5
The room was fine, but the shower water was scalding hot. No matter where you turned the faucet it stayed hot. Also, none of the ice machines was turned on. I tried on 3 different floors before resorting to going down to the bar for ice. I seriously considered switching hotels after the first night. Staff was friendly, but didn’t go the extra mile. Would not stay there again.
- 4/5
Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels given. Very happy with our stay, however, the smell in the lobby really turned us off. It always smelt like burnt plastic, not sure what exactly the smell was. The room itself smelt good, but we dreaded going to the main floor. Front desk was always pleasant and helpful.
- 5/5
Ainnette checked us into our room and was so helpful and cheerful every time we met. The hotel was recently remodeled and very clean. The rooms were huge and we like having additional seating with a couch and chair/desk setup. We had breakfast one morning and the food was very good. We also watched the sunset from the rooftop bar before going out to a club that night. We would definitely stay here on our next visit to Ft. Meyers.
- 1/5
Horrible hotel. Spend the extra couple bucks and stay at the luminary down the road.
- 5/5
Yes all the above.

The valet took my car at night and drove it without my consent, which I discovered from mileage and the vehicle app information that is linked to my phone. Overall, this incident significantly impacted my stay, and I do not feel that the hotel took responsibility or addressed the issue properly. I cannot recommend this property, especially to guests who rely on valet service and expect their vehicle to be secure.
- 5/5
Really nice staff and helpful staff. We loved it. We’ll go back next year.
- 5/5
Valet service available but a bit difficult to find hotel and valet at night.
- 4/5
Great location, staff were welcoming.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
The reception and valet parking staff are amazing. The rooms are very clean and house keeping are very friendly and accommodating. Pool area is amazing. Great location and wonderful property to stay at !
- 5/5
Excellent!!
- 5/5
Excellent!
- 5/5
The parking are was ok, did not had security, but was really closed to the hotel
- 4/5
Pleasant staff, nice room! No view
- 5/5
Hotel has been remodeled and it is beautiful. Staff was great. A lot of great restaurants in walking distance!
- 4/5
Great places to eat right outside the doorstep. Room was great, except for the lukewarm water in the shower?? Otherwise a good overnight stay while traveling.
- 5/5
Great stay. Would do it again.
- 3/5
I also was upset with the fact that they used feathered pillows and blankets and didn't let us know beforehand so we could request a change. Unfortunately we found the following day after we had some allergic reactions. The staff was good in promptly taking care of the change. It sucked having to deal with it after the fact though. Finally, the bathroom shower looked like it had black mold growing inbetween the floor and wall shower tile.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Conveniently located in center of downtown Fort Myers
- 5/5
This place is great. Comfy bed. Huge bathroom and shower!!! Lisa at the front desk was great. We walked to all the bars and ate a little here and there. Great location.
- 4/5
centrally located with several good dining options, after dinner bars and open air music venue
- 5/5
Everything was great except for only 1 elevator and 1 ice machine
- 5/5
Clean,bright and comfortable
- 5/5
Exceptional staff at this property! Let Melanie park your car, Anitte will check you in and Miguel will make you a great drink and mouthwatering food!! Five stars all day!!!!!!
- 5/5
Excellent
- 3/5
It was fine but tv was dated and barely worked and the shower did not drain!
- 5/5
Always nice and the staff is super friendly
- 3/5
AC was not cool. Very muggy even though set to 65 in room. Not all lamps woeked in room. Also i think valet parking there is very high for that area. On the positive side it was clean and location was perfect . Staff also very nice.
- 4/5
So after you get past the fact that the Bayan is difficult to find (you will drive right past), it is fine. The staff are friendly. Valet parking only, but the valet folks are quick and friendly. The rooms are clean, well appointed and what you would expect from an in town hotel. Bed and linens were comfortable. Didn't try the restaurant so can't comment. If you have business in the legal district this is a very handy hotel, walkable to coffee shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
The accessibility of the property and how close it is to everything downtown is perfect
- 5/5
Mia , Miquel, and Melanie are the best ever and the reason i keep coming back !!!!!!!
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly, Lisa was kind and she helped me with the issue I had with my reservation.
- 4/5
A wonderful gem in Downtown Fort Myers. Just some minor things I feel could make this the best hotel in the area. Some of the pros rooftop bar kind in helping staff. Great vibe and location. That I have is the shower pressure is not that great and the water does not get cool or cold. Also the elevators don’t work that well sometimes there is a long wait. The side of that give us a five out of five star.
- 4/5
This property could have been a solid 5 if there was any effort put into the Rooftop as well as the lobby bar. Location and rooms were on point. Parking is off site at the Edison Garage which is a 2 minute stroll across the street.
- 5/5
Very unique hotel with lots of walkable areas for dining and shopping. Great friendly staff!
- 2/5
Horrible staff
- 4/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Everything we needed was close and convenient to our wedding events.
- 3/5
The location of the hotel was great, right downtown. Ended up with a handicap room, with the hotel and Expedia pointing fingers at each other. Room was ok, some of the light switches controlled nothing, old style lamps with a push switch for on and off didn’t always work, pool towels were very cheap
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Nice place and very accommodating staff
- 5/5
The Banyan staff was truly terrific, The shower was not working in my room. After trying to fix it failed, the staff quickly moved me into another room. The Banyan is in a great location, close to shops and restaurants. We could walk to all of our meals. The room are very spacious, My only criticism is the lack of a microwave in the room. There is a refrigerator and coffeemaker, There is a microwave in the lobby but that is not convenient,

Ok hotel. Expensive for what the room was. Zero view other than brick walls and roof tops. The place was clean and had a great location close to bars and restaurants.
- 5/5
Great location, the hotel was clean and comfortable, no parking but there’s public parking 5 minutes away for $10 a day.
- 4/5
Beer Bottle cap was left on the counter when we walked into our room. Water pressure was horrible in shower. water actually stop running every so often I believe when someone in the building would flush the toilet
- 4/5
Great stay for a weekend. Room was spacious and clean.
- 5/5
Great location - walk to restaurants, shopping and waterfront
- 4/5
Wonderful person at front desk Mia
- 1/5
My reservation for the 2nd day was not on the hotel's record. So, I paid for a second day that I did not receive. They offered to charge me for a day I had already paid for and so I checked out.
- 4/5
The property was very convenient to downtown and the water. It is an absolutely beautiful city. The hotel room was clean and very nice. Had a few blemishes but nothing that could be considered gross or bad. I plan to come back and use this hotel again.
- 2/5
Night clerk was very professionnel and friendly. During the night our Bathroom flooded from a bad leak from above. I couldnt shower in the morning because I put all the towels on the floor to soak up the water. Went down for breakfast and no one was there. Front desk was also empty. I prepaid for breakfast and wound up eating somewhere else. It was a horrible expérience. Would never return or Recomend. Hilton should be a ashamed to put thier name on this place.
- 1/5
The pictures and reality are not one in the same. The curtains were broken and dirty, the A/C is loud and dated, the toilet ran all night long, the water bottles which they charge $3 each were refilled and the bed was lopsided. Not to mention the fabric on the chair was filthy. The picture of the sky lounge is not their sky lounge which was very misleading. Very disappointed for the price!!
- 5/5
Very nice and quiet
- 5/5
nice and clean
- 3/5
Rooms were fine, surrounding area and hotel common area were below par
- 5/5
Lack of self parking, that's a negative
- 5/5
Great service and location!
- 5/5
We were here during hurricane Helena. The staff was friendly and helpful. Enough places stayed open around us so we could get some food.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Just an excellent stay
- 5/5
Outstanding hotel and staff.
- 5/5
What a quaint place tucked away in a busy town. Loved the atmosphere.
- 5/5
This was my second stay and the hotel staff and cleanliness were what will bring me back evertime I visit Fort Myers
- 5/5
Great spot, conveniently located to a bunch of restaurants. The place was clean and staff was very helpful.
- 4/5
Good location.
- 5/5
Great quiet place to stay, easy walking to everything downtown has to offer. Great place for a hideaway.
- 5/5
Staff super friendly, location was excellent
- 2/5
Dead roaches in my bed in the first room. So after changing rooms and not even given rhe opportunity to voice my concern due to being rushed from the counter the second rooms floor was so sticky around the bed and couch it was unreal. I didn’t make it breakfast that I paid for but wasn’t even offered anything for my issues or given my meal ticket. Won’t be back
- 5/5
Location outstanding
- 5/5
Perfect 💫
- 5/5
The room was fantastic. Very comfortable bed, large shower.
- 5/5
My new favorite staycation!
- 4/5
Roof top bar and pool but bar not open most of the time
- 2/5
Did not have the room I booked available
- 5/5
Very nice staff, location and amenities
- 5/5
The entire staff was so nice and helpful. The property is beautiful and convenient.
- 2/5
Staff was awesome bent over backwards to try to make up for the problems with the Hotel, Bed frame was broken, and the pull-out sofa had a very thin mattress very uncomfortable, room view was another building. Also, the A/C was on the fritz and room and lobby was not comfortable at all and made it hard to get a good night's sleep, Rooftop Bar was never open as promised and the bar in lobby was open only 1 day, pool was dirty, the only great thing besides the staff was the Seed & Bean.
- 4/5
Great wifi and beautiful property.
- 4/5
Was in town Tor a Wedding. This was close the more expensive property and close to the venue, shops , and museums.
- 5/5
Beautiful place to stay and close to everything downtown
- 5/5
Clean upscale property
- 5/5
This was the cleanest hotel I've stayed in. For it to be an old building, it was nicely kept.
- 3/5
This hotel was beautiful and right in the middle of the night life! Unfortunately, the beds & pillows weren't to our liking. Beds were extremely firm & pillows melted under our heads.
- 5/5
Fantastic Hotel and area.
- 5/5
Roof top pool. Arcade entrance with shops and dining. Great location. Great staff, very nice and friendly. Historically preserved building on the exterior with tastefully modernized interior. An amazing edition to the area
- 5/5
Beautiful space, over the top service and remarkably clean. Can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
Excellent and accommodative staff
- 4/5
Pleasant stay with all of historic downtown conveniently surrounding the hotel. Lots of bars and restaurants plus waterfront right there.
- 2/5
Rooms are dated.
- 5/5
Once we found it, the hotel was charming. It’s a bit dated but the staff was very friendly and it was clean.
- 1/5
☹️
- 4/5
The area in the river district was a little sketchy. Surprised at the amount of homeless. Screaming and loud music could be heard until after 2am from the surrounding venues. As far as the hotel itself, it was clean. The beds were comfy. Good towels and linens. The place was loud though, with late night party people banging around in the halls-even in mid-week.
- 4/5
Didn’t like the valet service for the car
- 5/5
Nice hotel, but the rooftop bar is closed for renovations.
- 2/5
Hotel is undergoing renovations. Cold water didnt work in first room. All water was out in second room for a couple hours. Pool closed during renovation. No compensation for inconvenience. Stay away until remodeling is complete
- 3/5
Property is in a convenient downtown location. Room was large but very outdated. No amenities were available. Not disclosed when reservation was made. Bar was closed, pool and rooftop area was closed. Parking is off site only.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Parked the car and didn’t need it until we left. Very quiet hotel. It is under renovations. Pool and bars closed but many places 60 seconds away. No refrigerator in the room.
- 3/5
Room was nice, staff was friendly. Everything is closed for remodeling, no pool, no bars. Very disappointing for my family.
- 4/5
Staff was fantastic, great location to walkable eateries and shops. Room a/c unit is very noisy. No on site hotel parking, only a 2 minute walk to city of palms parking garage 5.00/day
- 2/5
No parking. No valet parking. Public parking down the street but no where to unload. Everything under construction. One elevator said out of order but we were on the third floor and it took quite awhile before we could get the working elevator to come to our floor instead of the out of order elevator. Girl at check in was nice and room was clean.
- 1/5
The elevator was broken, the shower did not drain (nasty) but I got change of room, no parking, no gym, no bar, is expensive I paid 142 dlls for a hotel in remodeling.
- 3/5
Unfortunately it was in the middle of renovations (which was never disclosed when I booked) so the lobby bar and rooftop bar were both off limits, blankets in the elevator, cardboard on the floor, you know what I’m saying. The biggest problem I had as an occasional traveler, is despite it being listed as “no payment until check in” this was not the case. A hold for the entire amount, including incidentals was placed on my card the very early morning of check in. Room was quiet and clean, A/C worked great No parking on property but the city garage is 1/2 block from the property Would I stay there again? Eh. Maybe once renovations are done
- 3/5
The room (303) needs to have the grouting fixed in the top left corner of the shower, above the shower head. Also, with the shampoo/conditioner combo, why different brands? Aveda/Pantene. One is upscale and one is not. This also seemed like depletion of one stock and rebranding with another- or an ordering issue. Consistency is key with hospitality. A $125 fee for Pets is high? Market rate. I am not sure. Great location, but the new hotel across the street will give a run for its money when it comes to price and available amenities.
- 2/5
Long term construction, starkness of rooms and no valet parking werr negatives.
- 1/5
This hotel was under construction during our stay. It was dusty, disorganized, and uncomfortable. There were loud machine like noises outside of our window. When we booked, there was no indication this place was under construction. Stay away.
- 5/5
The front desk lady was really nice exceptionally professional on both the evening shift in the morning shift
- 2/5
Hotel was dirty, room dirty. Many amenities not open or available. And even though we are IHG Elite Spire members, still sub-par room.
- 1/5
The bed was all squeaky an old bathroom was beat up and dirty stains all over the wall. In general the hotel is gross.
- 3/5
All that typed, the location was prefect as the downtown Ft. Myers area is right out the doors of the hotel. Plenty of restaurants, shopping and bars very accessible from the hotel. We did go use the Best Western's pool one time. It was a decent pool with great views of the river and downtown. When we went to the front desk of the Best Western and said we were from Indigo the woman rolled her eyes and shot looks at her coworker. When we asked what the deal was they said the "renovations" have been going on for a year and a half.
- 3/5
I was disappointed we couldn’t go to the roof top bar/pool area due to all the renovations going in. Having to use a parking garage was a hassle as well. Luckily the room and view from balcony was nice.
- 5/5
The property was in an excellent location. Nightlife and restaurants were all within a half a block from the property. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and professional. Parking was on the street or off site. The property was under renovation and several amenities such as the pool were not available at the time and unfortunately this was not advertised... I would definitely stay again...
- 1/5
I checked in and literally checked out within 10 minutes. Hotel was a mess under construction. Room had water damage throughout. Wall paper peeling. No floors just bare concrete. Tarps in the elevator. No amenities were open. I want my money back. I never even stayed at that hotel. I turned in my keys instantly
- 5/5
This is a truly excellent hotel with an exceptional friendly staff. We stay here all the time because we love it so much, we get treated so well as well, we just love being here. Highly recommend it- its walking distance to all the bars and all the great places around since it is centrally located downtown.
