    Location for the centre of Ft Myers was perfect. We were staying as part of a major wedding anniversary and the staff made a point of congratulating us when we came into contact with them. Plus they sent a bottle of bubbly on ice to the room on our arrival. The views we had from the junior suite was stunning and we sat out on the balcony both nights to take it all in. We had a brunch and an evening meal in the associated eateries and both were excellent. Couldn’t fault any of the staff we encountered, quite the opposite ! We were always greeted with a smile and asking if they could do anything for us. Absolutely nothing.

    Hotel is very nice and the staff and service are very good. But they don't tell you in advance that the Night Owl Suite, which is one of their more expensive rooms, is across the street from loud music that goes until 2:00 in the morning.

    Nice room. However room service neglected to refresh the coffee service. Also we really looked forward to a swim after an afternoon baseball game and went to swim but were told we could not because a private party was planned for that space. We feel a major amenity was denied us and that is very disappointing.

    Great room wonderful view over the bay We were on the 12 th floor there is a bar on this floor with fantastic views and a great vibe Beds are super comfortable. Must be a new hotel as it’s well designed. Libby restaurant and coffee shop looked great although we did not use it. We could hear the lift in our room 1208 but it was only slightly annoying. The area is very quiet the Marina has gone post hurricane Ian which must have affected the downtown area a lot That said plenty of bars and restaurants around. Had some WiFi issues can’t believe they charge for it. You can join Bonvoy but it’s a faff. At this price point I would expect brilliant WiFi you can connect to easily and certainly not having to pay extra for it. Come on Marriot what are you thinking? Don’t force customers to join your club just to get WiFi

    It was perhaps 8 PM when we pulled down the bed and we waited at least 45 minutes for housekeeping to arrive. The water flow at the lav is terrible. I suspect it’s because a lot of low flow aerator was installed, but it was beyond that. I suspect the strainer was partially plugged. This is something that the staff should recognize when preparing a room. It’s a relatively newer facility. We found that there was not Apple storage for Clothing. The room also does not have a rack to open your luggage on. I find it hard. That is toilet does not have a separate door from the rest of the bath room. This is not an inexpensive hotel, but to charge an additional $20 plus valet fees plus tipping plus a processing fee for a cost that’s closer to $40 per day to keep your rental vehicle on site is is just unacceptable. We’ve been to other Marriott Bove facilities where we find the staff more genuinely friendly and professional overall.

    Only thing I am not happy about is when I was referred to the suite room on 10th floor, hotel did not tell me it is extremely noisy on Friday night until 2am. Which is I paid extra $100 to ‘enjoy’ that noise.

    The location was nice and the staff were helpful the bed was comfortable. There was a good restaurant attached for breakfast There’s no instructions in the room on how to operate anything, or info on the restaurants and bars and cafés within the hotel nothing. You have to try to find info via the TV or by calling down. That’s annoying. The place is completely noisy at all times. If it’s not loud music or people yelling or car alarms going off it’s the sound of the Staff elevator cables through the walls. Impossible to sleep well. A third of the loungers at the pool are broken and they rent the pool out for private parties so don’t rely on being able to use the pool if that’s one of the reasons you choose this hotel.

    They quoted me one price for staying an additional night but then charged a higher amount. I was referred to the manager on duty for an explanation. When speaking to the manager on duty over the phone, she said there was nothing they could do about the up charge because “it was the system” that did it. She claimed that system charged me the previous night’s rate (which was higher) and that it was out of her hands because of the system didn’t allow her to make any changes. All she was able to provide was an apology for their “miscommunication”. Incredulous with that explanation, I later approached her at the front desk upon my checkout. She maintained her previous position until I asked her name as a reference. Suddenly, she was able to over ride “the system” and adjust the rate. When I asked what had changed from one moment to the next, all she was able to say is that she was able to make a change because now “it had become an issue”.

    Great location from the theater across the street. Wonderful views :-) The beacon rooftop was wonderful and went there after the theater for food as on Thursday night we were told it stopped serving at 10 PM when we got there at 9:10 PM, we were told the kitchen was closed. Also, the lights were turned up at 9:30 and we felt rushed to leave. However, the office manager Melissa upon telling her of this gave us vouchers for breakfast at the wonderful Ella Mae’s diner to make up for it. That was very kind and considerate.

    There was no complimentary breakfast and I just got coffee. The baristas did not make my coffee as hot as I asked for. I didn't like the fact that the trash cans in the rooms didn't have bags in them. Even paper bags would be better than nothing.

    I had a great stay at this hotel! I really appreciated the added security of needing a card key to access the elevator and guest floors—it made the place feel very safe. The reception staff was extremely kind and professional, which made check-in smooth and welcoming. My room was very clean and well-kept, which added to the comfort of the stay. Overall, a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

    We had a family emergency come up and had to leave the hotel after checking in 4 hours prior. The only things we had done were eat at the restaurant in the hotel and shop downtown. We were actually only in the room for probably 1 hour total. Expedia told us it was up to the discretion of the hotel if they would refund us any of our money and the hotel said under no circumstances do they issue refunds after checking in. I am a longtime Marriott member and have always enjoyed my time. I look for a Marriott in every city I visit. There has never been a time when the Marriott hasn’t exceeded my expectations besides this. Of course, I wasn’t expecting a full refund. They need to pay the cleaners and staff but considering we were only there for 4 hours, I thought they might be flexible. I was very very surprised by their lack of hospitality. $250 lost for a room we couldn’t use is a tough loss for my family right now but I guess it is what it is. Double hit because this was our honeymoon! I will definitely be checking out non-Marriott’s for my next trip.

Expedia told us it was up to the discretion of the hotel if they would refund us any of our money and the hotel said under no circumstances do they issue refunds after checking in. I am a longtime Marriott member and have always enjoyed my time. I look for a Marriott in every city I visit. There has never been a time when the Marriott hasn’t exceeded my expectations besides this. Of course, I wasn’t expecting a full refund. They need to pay the cleaners and staff but considering we were only there for 4 hours, I thought they might be flexible. I was very very surprised by their lack of hospitality. $250 lost for a room we couldn’t use is a tough loss for my family right now but I guess it is what it is. Double hit because this was our honeymoon! I will definitely be checking out non-Marriott’s for my next trip.

    The hotel is modern, clean and would be comfortable except for the major problem mentioned above. The hotel is located immediately adjacent to an outdoor bar. Live band kept us awake until after midnight with a VERY loud band and customers. DO NOT STAY here if you expect a hotel to provide a reasonable night's sleep. It's a very expensive hotel so you should demand better. The walls and hallway are also a source of frustration as the revelers return late.

    The hotel is located in the city downtown, which unfortunately means the noise from nearby bars and clubs can be an issue. Parking is also a bit of a challenge. Although the room key card is supposed to grant access to the parking area, it didn't work for me. On the first day, the staff assisted me with it. However, on the second day, when I was checking out, I had to pay for parking again because I was in a rush and didn’t have time to return to the front desk.

    Loved, loved, loved this unique and charming hotel in Fort Meyers. We scheduled a company get together there and the Luminary was not only perfect for our retreat (accommodating, reasonably priced, exceptional care) but was so centrally located that everything was walkable and we had a great time.
