Very close to the beach, but far enough away to be quiet. Spacious room, great kitchenette.

From check in to check out the property was excellent. Staff was so very helpfull and full of info about the area. The pool area was well maintained and was so inviting. The property is a 2 minute walk to 7 different restaurants which are all great. The beach is a 3 minute walk. The room is so quiet and comfortable. I would stay again on our next visit for sure!

Great location and views. Clean and comfortable. Very close to the beach and easily walkable . No parking fee was a big perk since everything was in walking distance. Good restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay here again.

We rented the cottage and it had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. Our teenage daughters slept on the pull out sofa bed with no complaints of bars in backs etc. The beach was about a 5-15 minute walk, depending on where you decide to post up for the day. I personally rent chairs either at the Lani Kai (does not allow coolers) or just to the right of them, (if you want to bring your own cooler). The pool and hot tub were both are the perfect temp for all of our likings. We enjoyed that it was off the strip and not such a busy pool, especially during peak spring break season. We had a minor issue with our shower not draining and leaking but it was repaired by the time we got back to the cottage from the beach that day. Thank you for a great stay! We will be back again. PS try the pizza and listen to the live music on the bay, you won't be disappointed!

Rooms very clean. Beautiful pool. Upper Deck Bar with entertainment was a lot of fun. Below the Upper Deck Bar is a great restaurant right on the water with all glass windows for a great view. The food was excellent and the manager and all of his staff treated us great. Will definitely return for another stay and support the on property Bar and excellent restaurant.

This was my first time staying in one of the cottages across the street from Mantanzas Inn Bayside Resort, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The Bayside staff provide a very clean and tidy residence. The staff was also friendly and informative. The parking beside the cottage was adequate, somewhat protected, and convenient.

In a good position in Fort Myers Beach. Parking included. Walkable to beach and bars. No housekeeping, even by request.

From Penny ( who didn't know she was a You Tube star.lol a video from a previous stay took a video and praised her..which made our decision to stay also..)at the front desk to the cleaners, the grounds, pool,hot tub, our room ,the food everything was excellent just what we where looking for, 2 restaurants and bars, music and great views of the bay with the boats..short walk to the Fort Myers Beach..with shopping, restaurants ,bars and music along the way..went to the upper deck restaurant bar at the hotel on Sat night. and listened to Big Daddy Rich who's a buffalo guy always a good time listening to him sing all our favorites then the waitress comes over.. recognized..our accent..lol..she's from Buffalo also...So we had to order both pizza and wings and we were NOT disappointed... Excellent !. And We are Buffalo Peeps ⛵.We had a Great 44 th. Anniversary get away ..Thanks again Penny 💕

Matanzas needs to issue parking passes as soon as they are aware a guest is on the property, even if room is not yet ready.

Parking is very convenient. Spots right in front of the rooms and the lot was never completely full. Petey's Upper Deck is one of the coolest places to have a couple drinks with a view of the bay. The room was very clean. Loved the deck off the back and the common seating areas along the canal. We'll definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay! Very convenient location, right on the water, clean with recently renovated rooms. We went for a girls weekend and loved it! The only thing I can’t rave about was they had very poor water pressure, not sure if it was because we were on an end unit, but it was a trickle out of the shower head which can be a little difficult if you have a lot of hair, no hairdryer in room, and wish they had a full sized mirror in the room. Regardless I would definitely recommend staying there! It’s a beautiful property!

So close to everything! The beach and restaurants were only a block away. The rooms were spacious and the pool area was great. Nice and quiet location as well. We will be back!

Bar was priced way to high as were most bars on fort myer beach.

Only thing we didn’t know about and didn’t like was the noise at the end where the bar/ restaurant is. We stayed in room 102 and that was our only complaint. Even tho we are drinkers, we aren’t late night people. So you have the noise till entertainment ( which was good) was done. Then every morning around 4/5 the workers are unloading food trucks. Slamming what we thought might be bags of ice. So not enough sleep. We would definitely stay there again, we would just ask to be in another building. Enjoy.

I stayed in room 142 - perfect for me as a single traveler. My only minor inconvenience was the noisy neighbor the first 2 nights - but that isn’t any fault of the Inn. Would recommend to my friends and family and already trying to figure out when I can come again!

This is a wonderful Inn in a great location with wonderful staff.

The office only open during business hours. Plane landed at 7 so office was closed. I was able to get keys from lock box, that part was easy. Next morning left before office was open. Worked all day and got back to condo at 1 am. The key fob they gave me did not work. I went to office, closed. Called number given answering machine. Tried after hours maintenance, sent to voice mail. I’m a single lady outside. I called the number on their web site and thankfully it gave a different maintenance number. I called it and went to voice mail. It is now 1:30. I was desperate so I tried that number a couple more times. And a very nice gentleman answered. The only problem was that he was on vacation. He said he would try to get someone there to help. 25 min later someone came out. It ended up not my fob being an issue but the sensor for fobs. He tried his master fob and a master key card. Neither worked. 15 min later he came back with a real key. And it finally opened at 230. Had an early flight. Not happy. They are not prepared for locked out issues after 7. Would not go back. BUT the guy on vacation and the poor guy who helped were great.

The location is close enough to walk to the beach but not on the main road to have to deal with all the traffic, noise, or people. A tucked in gem! Rooms were simple but clean. Provided everything that could be needed for multi night stay. Parking was perfect with designated spaces for each room. Nice,cozy outdoor sitting areas on canal and by pool. Staff was friendly and very accommodating.

We have stayed at Matanzas Inn twice and both stays were very positive. It is well located. The rooms were clean, and well maintained. Hope to stay there again next year.

Wonderful little place tucked away down by Ft. Myers Beach. My room was everything I needed it to be. The bed was really comfy and plenty of amenities like a full sized coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. The pool was amazing but the hot tub was way too hot. My friend and I ate at the restaurant and the food and the view were both incredible. I will likely stay here again next time I'm in Ft. Myers.

Pool and hot tub nice and warm, but they close at dusk which isn’t convenient. Location is great as you can walk to a lot including the beach. Reserved a room with a balcony or patio and got a lesser room. Overall for the price it was reasonable

This is the best location and our view of the Bay was amazing. Loved having the kitchen and balcony. The A/C worked great.

Everything was perfect with the exception of pool temperature it was very hot water and not refreshing. I inquired at front desk and was assured maintenance would investigate. Unfortunately it was never resolved. We went down to beach and swam at the lighthouse.

Pool was amazing and jet tub hot and enjoyable. Erika went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could possibly be.

Room was very convenient location to beach, restaurants and bars. Once we parked we were able to walk everywhere. Room was good size, beds comfortable. Bathroom sink had no vanity for cosmetics, hair tools etc.. inconvenient to keep all that on counter in main room. Pool water was extremely warm, basically same temp as hot tub so not refreshing at all after laying in sun.

The room looked like the picture! Very nice; it is like your own apartment 2 blocks from the beach! The bed was too hard, but everything else was really nice. We bought a lot of our own food at the grocery to make things cheaper. Be forewarned: there is live music playing late next door at the bar every night, but if you like that sort of thing…enjoy. We went in February and it was a bit cold outside…plenty comfortable in our room. Nice shower, nice, fully loaded kitchen; really a good bargain. Beats being in a hotel room! Make sure to eat at the restaurant; you won’t be disappointed.

We love staying here. The staff is friendly, professional & prompt in replying to emails and phone calls. The rooms are always clean. The location is great for walking all of FMB Times Square and nearby areas. The restaurant & bar are a great bonus too! We'll be back soon.

My first time back since the hurricane, the renovations and upgrades to the property have really elevated the experience. Super clean...Enjoy!

Room was very clean and updated. Pool and hot tub were also very clean and usable. Location was great for walking to the restaurants and the beach. The only negative for us was that the mattresses were very firm which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

Exceptionally clean and well maintained rooms and grounds. Of course the views cannot be beat! We would personally skip the downstairs restaurant next time. There are much better options within walking distance.

We had another great stay at Matanzas Inn! The “cottage” is across the street and up a stairwell into a great studio apartment with a king bed that had a full size fridge, cooktop with 4 burners, microwave, cookware and a dishwasher. Very comfortable accommodation! The real bonus is being able to walk around and enjoy all the restaurants & bars with live music everywhere. Penny is a great lady and we look forward to our next stay here!

The Inn was absolutely wonderful. From the heated pool and hot tub to the room. Owners and staff were the nicest people I’ve ever encountered being out of town. If you haven’t been, it’s absolutely a tranquil place.

Worst staff and unfortunately not happy with policy

Room had a stench akin to sewer gas. The refrigerator leaked water all over the floor. There were loud workers yelling in Spanish at 6AM just outside the back window. The keys were electronic wrist bands which were nothing but trouble. This place needs to be shut down pending a health inspection. It was disgusting. Front desk was well mannered at least.

Check-in was easy peasy. The hotel clerk was super polite and friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. I chose Matanzas Inn based on a previous stay and you can't beat the bang for your buck and convenient location. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

I also saw and killed the largest roach I’ve ever seen in the bathroom. But all in all it wasn’t horrible. And the bracelet that you use to unlock the room door is very modern. The pool and hot tub looked great but the weather was not cooperative so we didn’t use either.

We had an enjoyable weekend. Thanks to the Matanza Inn completing renovations after Hurricane Ian caused devastation to the island. We have spent many long weekends here and continue. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The property is well maintained. Penny is very personable and was very accommodating.

We planned a staycation for my friend's birthday weekend. Room was a great location overlooked restaurant and the water for an amazing view! Penny was very accommodating to our needs. We were able to walk to a lot of places. Pool and Spa were very relaxing. The only issue I would mention is the HVAC until was leaking water all over the floor. Clean, comfortable and great staff

I stayed one night for a girl's beach trip and Islandhopper Songwriter Festival. The location was perfect! Walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. Restaurant and bar on property were great. Enjoyed a sunrise over the marina in the morning, a short walk from our room.

The balcony was a perfect touch. could hear music and great view.

It very much met my need. Erika, the receptionist, was very nice and helpful.

The pool is heated and has early morning shady areas in the pool. Several restaurants within walking distance. Most have live music almost every night.

Great property with beautiful pool and hot tub. We love the location walkable to many bars and restaurants. Friendly staff and nice rooms.

When we arrived, the air conditioner in the main part of the unit was not working the bedroom one was Erica did everything she could to try to get it going to no avail spoke the next day to Penny the manager she got right on it called the air conditioning company and had it replaced before noon

The property is beautiful! It’s close to shopping, restaurants and the beach. Check in/ out was easy, parking was convenient!

Our new staycation place ! We live in Fort myers. Sometimes life gets to be a lot and we go find a place to unwind. We never knew this place was there. We absolutely loved it and it was everything we need to escape. We will be back a few times a year !

A few issues but overall ok. Have stayed many times but this was not one the best.

The bay is quiet so I was able to work one day out on their back patio which was a nice treat. The walk to the beach and main strip was 5 min. After check-out we were able to come back and use their boat house shower before boarding our plane. They were so hospitable!

The place was a nice “old” Florida type property, not a cookie cutter. Staff was very friendly and got us set up with everything we needed. Bar on the water with great views and food. No need to go anywhere else. This is our new go to spot on FMB

The hotel was wonderful. The restaurant was terrible. Took name to sear you, then when asked when are being sat after a drink, they said they are not seating anymore people. Like really, waited for 1/2 hour waiting for seat. Terrible.

Love this property and how easy it was to get places! The property has a bar restaurant that plays live music daily. It’s a huge hot spot for boaters to stop for dinner/lunch. Very fun!

We loved the location & it was so quiet no matter the time of day. We were able to check in early without even asking which was great. & the restaurant is so good. The big thing we weren’t happy about was the pool hot tub closing at 8pm when it was even still light outside. We really just wanted to relax in the hot tub after a long day and we couldn’t so it ruined the nights for sure.

Such a cute and quaint place. Management was super helpful and friendly. It is the perfect location to Time's Square. This was our 2nd time staying here. We would definitely stay again. The views are amazing. It has a wonderful pool. Paradise!

We really enjoyed our stay! Located close to everything, we walked to the beach, the farmers/craft market, live music at the park, everything. The pool and hot tub were very clean, although the closing hour varied and we missed out on the hot tub time one night. We paid the little bit extra to have a waterside room, and that was well worth it! The view and sitting area outside the room was beautiful and a calm reprieve from the noise and crowds at the beach. Beach chairs and towels being provided, if you ask, were very helpful! It would have been nice to have the room more well stocked, but anything we asked for at the office, they provided; i.e. hair dryer, toothbrush, plates, paper towels, etc. We would definitely stay again if we're back in the Ft. Myers area.

There was one room on the first floor that had a table and chairs at the back entrance with a view of the canal. We would have preferred that one but didn't know how to ask for it.

This property was unique because it was right on a channel of the bay. It was so fun watching the boats come in and out of the channel. Our room overlooked the bay and it also was right near Pete’s bar and Grill where the music was so fun to listen to in the evenings.

Beautiful room. Easy walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. Setting of my suite was removed from the main part so no water view. Right under the bridge but still quiet. I did enjoy watching boats and pelicans fishing as I sat on their Rooftop restaurant deck

Excellent stay !!!

We had a nice 7 day stay and the location was great for getting around. However, the location is also noisy. Our balcony suite was right by the bar and restaurant which was very noisy. The room was clean, but needs updating such as; bathroom fan, working USB ports and 110v outlets. It has easy parking and easy access to the bridge. The views from our balcony were very nice and their restaurant has great food.

We had an awesome view, saw dolphins twice and could hear band in the restaurant from our balcony

5 minute walk to Crescent Beach plus many restaurants and other small eateries including food trucks and other vendors. Penney, the property manager, and the staff are very helpful. They should add a couple of extra umbrellas in the pool area and the pool water was too warm. Overall, I consider the Matanzas Inn an excellent value for the money compared to comparables in the area.

A first time stay for us and we honestly liked everything about this hidden gem and will stay here again. We booked the second floor queen suite with the separate bedroom and nice sized balcony. That would be our choice again.

This was our third time staying at Matanzas. The old Florida vibe of this hotel is just what we wanted. The staff was friendly and SO accommodating. We will most certainly be back! Thank you for a great stay.

Stayed in the cottage. Cute and close to food and bars. No elevator so have to carry luggage up a flight of stairs.
