Every question we had the staff was very helpful. The little condo had everything we needed. The view from the balcony was amazing. The beach with soft white sand was great. We saw dolphins, manatees & other sea life. The lobby had sitting areas, large TV & ping pong table. The pool area was very clean, with pleany of loung chairs.

We have stayed here many times and it is always wonderful. The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated. The view from the balcony is amazing just watching the dolphins, birds and boats. The pool was clean and not crowded. The hot tub was not in use as it is being repaired due to the hurricane, otherwise everything was in great shape. We enjoyed using the grills provided. This place is our home away from our regular home. Thank you Lovers Key Beach Club! We will be back for sure!

The rod to hang clothes on broke and fell to the floor with our clothes on it. We only had one lamp in the bedroom that worked. The sitting room only had one light it was too dark to read. It was very windy and so much cold wind came in around the patio door the curtains were blowing. The tv’s could be larger.

The property is an older condo with some charm. I was not able to plug the drain in the tub for a bath. There was a large crack on the large mirrored closet door. Otherwise, the condo was quiet cozy. It had a beautiful view of the bay. All of the essential were provide. There were some strange quirts about the resort itself. They have the rules posted in the elevator and they asked you not dispose the recyclable in the trash chute, but they did not provide a recycling recepticle anywhere on the premise.

First, there is tons of construction and won't be done until after the first of the year, the noise is terrible and we were not warned. Second the mattress in Unit 401 is like sleeping on a 30 year old spring! The newest piece of furniture in the condo is the table and that is at lease 10 years old, the rest looks like it is from the 70's early 80's. The sliding door has to be lifted to go out to the deck, and the private beach and or view is porta potties and construction materials. We were told we had a discounted rate and they gave us less that what it cost us to go buy a air mattress. You are not supposed to have to get parking passes, but they are standing outside the elevators when you are getting out so you will need to get one, it is also on the list of rules in the elevator. Last but not least, when you go to check in the ladies don't even know their own island, we asked about a grocery store and they both told us their was not one on the island, there is one 2 miles from their office! Please take my advice and do not stay at this location until the first of the year and don't stay in Unit 401 at all, this is at least a $400,000 dollar condo that has not updated anything. The furniture at goodwill would all go for less than $500. I spoke to other agents that rent there and they canceled their clients or gave them a huge discount to stay for the construction.

Too many codes to remember, one for the gate one for the main door and one for your room. Our first day someone pooped in the pool and in my opinion the pool wasn’t cleaned at all. We keep watching the pool from our room and never saw it cleaned. And it was open the next morning. It was a nice unit, we were just grossed out by the pool and never swam in it again.

Very nice, clean beach with white sand. Apartment is not prepared for the gusts who arrive for a short time and travel by plane. There is no cleaning services, but yet there is no cleaning supply. With the exemption of Windex and a few dishwasher tablets there was nothing else, not even a broom or a mop. There are two very old vacuum cleaners and none of them was working well. Three beach chairs and two of them were completely broken. When we called Vacation Rental office they brought us two dollar store chairs not even a beach chairs. Broken beach umbrella, broken drying rack on a balcony. We had no place to dry our towels. Very cheap bathroom and beach towels, again they look like from the dollar store. Providing a decent supply for the renters should not be very expensive, considering the rent is quite expensive and the owner could invest a few dollars in a quality towels.

We liked the private beach. The pool area was nice and the lobby/common area was very nice. We picked this place because it said they furnished umbrellas, chairs and beach towels. There were only 4 umbrellas and most days we weren't able to get one as they were reserved early. The beach towels were skimpy and no bigger than the cheap white bath towels they used.

Loved the location and view from our balcony. Kitchen stove and fridge were nice. What I didn't like about our unit was that in many respects it was outdated - TV (screen was like 15 in.) way too small, my home computer had a larger screen. Carpet was outdated better if it had hardwood floor (at check-in lady told me the owner will be changing floor this coming Sept- Oct) too bad it was not before. Bathroom needs upgrade but was clean and spacious. The lock to our unit was still using key and had hard time opening and closing it each time we went out (other units had keypad locks)

The condo needed serious updating and some repairs. Rest of the package was good. Saw some other units which were in better condition and had much brighter decor, which would have made the stay much more enjoyable.

Evidently, all of the units in this building are single bedroom. The kitchen is lacking size and counter prep space in 1108. This unit has not been used by the owner in a long long time. Strictly for rental and income purposes, as we could tell by lack of updating and general repairs, mostly cosmetic. There is a stained and un attractive queen sized pull out couch in the sitting room that should really be replaced. There is really not enough room here for more than 2 people. But the location can't be beat, and we have been to several luxury condos and resorts in the Fort Myers Beach area, usually Gulf front, over the years. The condition of the common areas is superb. Pool, semi private beach on the bay, landscaping, lobby seating and lighting, even a quest laundry. The Lovers Key Beach Club is gated, mostly appreciated by older folks, who can be surprisingly friendly and helpful. It is very peaceful here.

I booked this during the aftermath of Hurricane Irma since we had no power for 4 days. The day I drove down to check in our power came back on. Because it was booked on Orbitz it was a week stay non-refundable. I find this policy unacceptable since we were in a federal state of emergency. It's too bad for someone else could have used it since we never spent one night at the apartment.. I'm out $1100 and feel I was taken advantage of during a state of emergency. I find the non-refundable policy unacceptable. The room smelled bad and the closets were filthy. The sliding doors need attention and the room smelled bad. The blinds were old and broken and the room had an aura of neglect. It has great views, but I'm glad I wasn't able to stay there.

Hotel itself is neat, clean and quiet. If you want a quiet place to stay, this is it. The room was clean but dated. The tub was very slow to drain so that as you shower, you were in ankle deep water. The tv was small and the two remotes required to operate the tv had no instructions. The kitchen area was fine except that the refrigerator had a slow water leak inside. The bed was neat and clean as was the rest of the room.Nice view from the balcony. We had plenty of towels supplied by the staff during our stay. The bars of soap were the size of postage stamps.Shopping carts and luggage carts are supplied at the entrance. Also the facility is gated so you need a password to enter which was nice. Also, the hotel entrance is also password protected.

Checking in was easy this time. I've stayed before and I was happy but this time the room was dilapidated, run down, and unclean. The room wasn't service daily unless I called late in the day (usually 5:30) to complain about it. The bathroom had tiles falling off, some woman's black hair in all the drawers, and the shower was disgusting. In all fairness I have stayed here before and I had a nice experience, but the run down room (603) over looking the bay does not excuse not having the room serviced daily. The beach was unkept, last time is was dragged every third day and kept clean. I'm only stating the facts and nothing more. Therefore I will not being booking this beach club again. This could be an awesome resort if they just didn't cheap out on the things that matter. Getting towels daily and a bed made is the minimum standard in the travel/hospitality industry. The pool area was infested with biting fleas, and my kids and I are torn up with hundreds of bites each. We honestly looked worse leaving than we did arriving.

Dirty rooms. Never cleaned. First room had no hot water. Sliding door broken. No heat available. Room had been used and bed slept in when we arrived in the middle of the night. No hairdryer. Then broken hairdryer. Half roll of toilet paper. Have to phone other hotel to get clean sheets. Room service means your bed is made and clean towels. Floors filthy. Rust on doors. Location and view were only saving grace.

Had a beautiful but basic apartment with 240 degree views over the bay, nature reserve and beach. Lovely balcony although could have done with an patio umbrella as it had the sun all day so was too hot to stay on. Bed was spacious and comfy. Bathroom had bath with shower over and no plugs for bath or basin which was annoying. Very very noisy air conditioning and not sufficient for the room space. If you were sat on sofa you were freezing, anywhere else boiling hot. Had full size cooker with oven but only saucepans provided which was very poor. The management committee kindly got me a pan for the oven. Lovers key beach resort is a wonderful place especially if you like relaxing, beautiful scenery and wildlife

Very disappointed. It was not a fully equipped kitchen. We lacked most of the basics like oven mitts, grapefruit knife, kitchen scissors, tea kettle, salad bowls and more. It was very very basic. The cleaning service was awful, the shower door was stained by soap scums, the base of the shower had not been cleaned when we arrived, there was soap residue still in one of the soap holders. We had to request to clean the shower but they cleaned only the door. We were told that everyday we could have towels changed and make the bed. Once a week a change of bed sheets and a full cleaning. In the 12 days we were there, they never washed the floors or vacummed . We requested to have at least a toilet brush to clean the toilet bowl, we got one but without the container. We were not supposed to do that, it should be part of the regular cleaning. We had to request the change of sheets because it has not been done after 7 days. The internet connection was extremely slow, we had to go down the lobby when we needed it, It's inacceptable in 2015 in the USA to be without internet access. We were getting disconnected very often and this is when we could get access. We encounter cigarettes odors many times, it was like someone was smoking in the entrance of our unit but it was a smoker down the hallway that left it's door open to probably change the air in his own place and we were getting it in ours. It's definitely not worth the price we paid out season for this. We left 2 days earlier.

This is our third time staying at Lovers Key Beach Club and we will keep coming back! The people we have met are wonderful. This location provides everything needed for a relaxing vacation. The rooms have full kitchens and they have outdoor grills. The beach is beautiful with plenty of shelling. We saw many dolphins every day, plus, a manatee and several kinds of fish. Lovers Key State Park is just across the street with many trails, fishing, and canoeing/kayaking available. There is a trolley that stops on the main road outside the condo that will take you to shopping and dining areas. The cost per ride now is 75 cents, a very economical way to get around. We have fallen in love with this wonderful place!

We had a room that looked north into the bay area. We saw manatees and dolphins everyday in the water. Bed was made and towels were replaced with fresh ones everyday. Sheets were replaced once, mid-week. The pool is very refreshing and maintains a constant temperature because of geothermal cooling/heating. Far enough away from the crowds, but not too far. Highly recommended for a quiet stay.

Best thing - the view! Our condo faced the bay as well as the gulf. We saw dolphins and sea turtles swimming right out in front of our condo. Wonderful sunsets! The condo could use a few updates but it grew on us quickly. It is generally taken very good care of. Many of the units are owned by long-term guests but all were very friendly. We were not located on the main strip but we liked it...nice and quiet, clean quiet beach. State park just down the road. There is no on-site manager (had to check in at a different location but it was on the way from the airport so it worked.) And when we needed something, we just called and they were very helpful and friendly. Overall, we would give it a 9 out of 10.

Best thing - the view! Our condo faced the bay as well as the gulf. We saw dolphins and sea turtles swimming right out in front of our condo. Wonderful sunsets! Young lady helping to check in was very helpful and our 11th floor room had a terrific view of bay and gulf! The grounds are beautiful with nice pool & grilling areas. Building and our unit were comfortable, appropriately furnished but somewhat dated and not quite in top notch condition. However, when we come to FL, we come for the beach -- not to sit indoors. We use the place to shower, sleep and store our suitcases. Private beach with access to Lovers Key state park was a plus. Dolphins swimming in the bay were fun to watch also. We appreciated the gated facility and the security presence even though there was never any safety concern. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

My husband and I had a quiet, restful stay. We walked the beach and swam everyday. The beach is beautiful and private as far as we could walked. We stepped out of the lobby right onto the beach. That was very convenient. The pool and the hot tub was great also. The view from the living room/kitchen even the bedroom was amazing. We saw various birds, big fishes, dolphins and manatees almost everyday. The sunset was great also, most beautiful. The king size bed is the biggest I have seen and the most comfortable my husband and I loved it and we did enjoy it. I wish the closet doors were mirror instead so we could see ourselves while laying. Even though the dresser is infront the bed you can't really see while laying down, I was a little disappointed. There was nothing close by no restaurants or stores, and we did not rent a car. We took the trollee (bus) cost 0.50 to town and purchase food at publix. We also rode the bus all over town and did shopping, went to restaurants, etc. the bus is cheap and convenient to get around. Everyone was very kind, pleasant and friendly. We got room service everyday, clean towels, however, towels need an update, too dingy. The closet door need painting if not replacing with mirror which would be so much more romantic. Also the deck could use some painting as it looks rundown. Overall the apartment was comfortable with fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher, and all needed utensils. We prepare our meals daily. Great stay!

Nice Condo with a great Gulf view, close to shopping . Flippers near the premises was a small outdoor restaurant which had excellent food. There was a small private beach which was nice if you don't want the hassle of a public beach. There was also a nice pool to enjoy.. The condo is near downtown Fort Myers beach with plenty of restaurants and shopping to choose from. Dolphins swimming by all day long.. Will be back had a excellent relaxing time. The room was nice and had everything needed. Will be back !!

The only issue is the current renovation that is in progress. After a late night flight I checked into the hotel after midnight only to be awoken by the sound of a jackhammer. Very much a bummer on the first day.

Vacation for 10 days in paradise. The views were amazing from the balcony. This side of the island is calm, and relaxing. Walked everyday across the bridge, and swam in a beautiful clean pool. Watched all sorts of birds soar; and dolphins jump!

This is our second time staying at Lover's Key Beach Club and we will be coming back! The condo unit is perfect with all the amenities of home. The balcony is great for viewing the boats, birds, and watching the dolphins play. Across the street is entrance to Lover's Key State Park that is full of nature trails, kayaking, and fishing. There is a trollee stop just outside the condo on the main road that will take you around the Ft Myers beach area. Cost per ride is 50 cents, a very economical way to get around. The pool and hot tub are very clean and a wonderful way to relax at day's end. The beach was so perfect for finding many varieties of shells. This place is the best vacation spot ever!

Stayed in a condo that is personally owned with their decorating taste. It appeared as though the Golden Girls were going to pop out of every closet but the view out of our balcony was amazing! Daily dolphin and wild bird sightings with one manatee on the first morning. Private beach kept lots of kids and tourists out so the beach was to ourselves most times. Very nice condo owners make it a welcoming place to stay! Would definitely go back!

Outastanding view of the Bay and Gulf. We had zero problems with the whole stay at the Lovers Key Beach Club room. The staff was excellent and the location was even more great then we expected. I will give a 5 of all aspects of the room and trip to Ft Meyers.

We stayed at Lovers Key Beach Club from April 7-14. I would HIGHLY recommend it. Everything was perfect. We were very comfortable, the room was very clean, the staff was excellent. It was so nice to have a private beach and there were ample chairs when we sat on the beach. We walked the shores of the beach every day and it was awesome! I am hoping we can go back again next year!

A practical place to be, not too far (by car) from restaurants and shops and yet right on a private beach with a breathtaking view of the bay and the gulf. The state park, right next to the condo allows for miles and miles of walking either along the beach or in the park itself, close to wildlife and very peaceful. Everyday we were able to watch the dolphins from our balcony and many were fishing right from the beach. This setting was quiet, safe and peaceful, exactly what we needed for a week long getaway!

Just got back from a week at the hotel for Spring Break. I really liked the location and the views. The cost relative to comparable (2.5 star types) is reasonable. It's just that the room wasn't really that clean. The floors in particular had s stickiness and grittiness from sand being dragged in. Also the shower needed a thorough cleaning and the couch definitely was worn. Probably got a decent value but was hoping for more.

We were in room 1108 and it needs work. The view from the room and the location of this place was awesome. The Condo building is awesome and has a pool, hot tub, washing facilities, and right on the beach. Our room 1108 was in desperate need of improvements. As mentioned in other reviews the bed is horrible!!!! The best part of the room was the view!

We had a great view and a wonderful condo. However we had to transfer out of one condo, (1108) into another due to the bed being horrible. They made the transfer with out and trouble. The beach was great and we walked miles along the shore.

This place is amazing! My husband and I came here for vacation and this is just what we needed! The condo was wonderful with full kitchen, and a great balcony that overlooked the water. It had everything we needed. Instead of eating out every night we saved money by cooking on the provided grills. The pool was large and clean. Across the street was entrance to Lover's Key Park that provided nature trails and a wonderful beach access. We truly enjoyed seeing all the different birds, and other wildlife. It is several miles from the main area of shops and eating places, however, the local Trollee stops in front of the condo at a cost of .50 per person. This is a very convenient and affordable way to get around as a taxi will cost around $15. The airport is approximately 30-45 minutes away and the taxi cost was around $50 for 2 people. Overall, this was the best vacation we have ever been on! I am ready to book this place for next year!

The appliances are very old. Rust inside the freezer and on the outside of the refrigerator. The tub must be so old they can't get the soap scum off of it. The hotel sits right next to the major causeway so you hear traffic all the time. But the beach is nice and the views were spectacular. The closeness to Lover Key's state park is very nice too.

"Rooms" are actually individual condominiums, so decor and condition depends on each owner. Setting of LKBC is outstanding if you're a beach lover. The private LKBC beach connects directly with LK State Park beach. Two+ miles of wonderful walking and great shelling! Heated pool and hot tub also great! We will definitely go back!

The room we stayed in was almost "retro" in design, so it could use a bit of redecorating in pictures and plastic plants, but that really is the only negative--and it is something I can live with quite easily with the tradeoff of an absolutely gorgeous view, everything you need right there provided in the full kitchen and huge bathroom with floor length mirrors and a big closet, and being right next to Lover's Key Park, so you can walk on the beach for miles. Everyone in the building is very friendly. This is not the noisy, busy beach, but great for shells, seeing jellyfish and horseshoe crabs washed ashore, watching people fishing and netting, and enjoying a number of different birds. Great place and quite reasonable in price to other hotels charging more and providing less. There were 4 of us in my family and we lived quite comfortably. We really enjoyed the morning coffee on the porch and yes, we could see a dolphin right below us. It is convenient to everything with a trolley available to the "downtown". Airboat tours offer pickup also.

All the rooms are individually owned are are either open planned studio apartments or one bedroom apartments (both the same size). The decor varies considerably depending on which apartment you stay in with some apartments in need of modernising. However, all are clean and fully equipped. The apartments are cleaned daily although the cleaner randomly didn't make the beds some days. I have stayed here many times and would recommend this hotel. The views are amazing, especially during sunset and sunrise.

When we first entered our room it reeked of cigarette smoke, even though this was suppose to be a non-smoking condo. We call to the management company and did later in day put 3 air fresheners in room and it helped, but did not completely remove the odor of the cigarette smoke. There was not another room available. All of the burners on the stove were uneven, due to improper range bibs. Additionally, the refrigerator door would not completely open due to the fact that it was too close to the wall and there was no room to move it away from the wall. The screen door was off its runners and the rollers needed to be replaced. The outdoor furniture was cheap, uncomfortable and lacking. The TV was outdated with small screen and the sound quality was poor. There were also stains on the carpet. However, the view was great!
