Affordably priced. Very close to attractions( Carowinds) and restaurants. Clean room. Breakfast that was decent for the price of the stay. Small but clean pool area. Older establishment. Outdated in areas. Our room tv was so dark we were almost unable to watch anything on it. (No settings for brightness). Second floor ice maker and soda machine were out of order. No elevator.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and without any problems. Breakfast was very good and had a good variety of items. Fairly good all around and fair price with a few maintenance cosmetic issues on property but room was clean and bathroom / shower was looking upgraded and clean as well. Parking was sometimes difficult because the slots are small and there were large pickup trucks that were taking up two spaces.

My room smelled like old moldy water but I was so tired I stayed in and just got used to it. I just slept but soon as the morning came I left so fast. Didn’t even shower.

It was better than I expected it to be. I would stay again!

Great location next to carowinds exactly what i was looking for. Perfect for overnight stay and a great value. Staff were nice and accommodating and they had a great breakfast. Room was old and run down. Rust on all the bathroom fixtures. Paint peeling and dropping from the ceiling. Plenty of parking. Internet was basically nonexistent. Front desk staff, especially Matt, was friendly. Towels were dirty. I don't think they had been replaced from previous occupant.

The room was clean, property is up to date, clean newer carpet and bedding, fridge, coffee maker and refrigerator was all good working condition. We stayed one night on our way to Florida and one night in our way back home, the property is good to stay with kids, staff is nice, breakfast is your regular waffles, eggs, muffins, cereal, coffee and toast, everything was clean and well kept, they have plenty parking areas, and it feels safe when we arrived (very late at night) I will definitely stop by again when we are back to Florida next year.

Friendly check-in. Perfect location. This met my expectation for the budget price.

The location was perfect right off the highway. The breakfast was good except for the eggs. Hash brown potatoes would have been better and easier to keep warm the other selections for breakfast was good. There was nothing I did not like.

It was Cole’s to Carowinds and we went there! Clean and had a continental breakfast! Needed a better variety at continental breakfast!!! But it was ok!

The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is that the inside portion between the desk and rooms was very run down. It does seem like they will remodel that soon since they are currently working on the rooms.

We enjoyed our stay! The rooms are a little dated but comfortable and clean! Check-in and out was easy, all staff we encountered were friendly, and the breakfast was a good start to our day. Some hall noise from other rooms, but can be expected in almost any hotel. It was close enough that we were able to walk back from Carowinds and the QuickTrip was right next door for our morning caffeine run! We enjoyed our stay!

Hotel advertised itself as a clean safe space near carowinds but it was nothing of the sort. Initially there being no elevator and being put on the second floor when the hotel was empty was the first red flag but no big deal. DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL COSTS

My boyfriend and i had our 3 boys (his 11 yr old and my 11 and 13 yr old) plus his childs 11 yr old friend and we had an amazing time. Felt safe and comfortable enough to let our kids eat up front by themselves. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. Will be staying thete again when possible.

Location. UNPROFESSIONAL HOTEL STAFF AT FRONT DESK. Rooms were reserved through Booking.com. My employees stayed here for two weeks with no issues then on the third visit I was harassed via telephone for more money even though the rooms were PREPAID through Booking.com. The first phone call was for a $100 security deposit and the next phone call was for the cost of the second room which was PREPAID. I had to cancel the rooms online. The staff was demanding and rude. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

The staff was wonderful In the room the bathroom was not cleaned properly. There should not be dried up urine at the bottom and sides of the toilet. The shelf at the front door was loose and hanging down.

It was cheap It was not cleaned. Still had a partial quart of milk in the mini fridge. The toilet wasn’t secure to the floor. Had absolutely no water pressure. The whole place smelled like mildew, weed, and cigarettes. Yet there wasn’t supposed to be any smoking. The pool was green and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all summer.

I explained to the gentlemen what was going on with that room he gave me and explained I booked a King. He began his search through his computer then hands me another card and said your room is upstairs and began to show me where to go. He walked me to a set of stairs and the mildew smell was horrible and I was thinking of leaving at this point but I really needed to stay because it was non-refundable at this point. To be a non-smoking facility, it was very overpowering and unpleasant.

Room 202, i got bit up my entire stay. I’m not sure if they were bedbugs or what. Other than that, its a nice property. Breakfast is good and the pool was cool. Warning: they dont have an elevator.

Checked in, recieved room key, opened side entrance to go to the room. Entrance was filthy with trash on the ground and dirty. Very outdated. Got in the room, bathtub had standing water in it, one bed had a cigerette burn hole in it and the other had a blood stain on the bed. We got our stuff and loaded back up and went to the front desk and told Mr Patel we would not be staying there. It was not anything like the pictures online. I requested a refund and he said I had to contact Hotel.com which I did, then was told manager from this hotel would have to approve refund. Still no refund. Do not waste your time or money booking this hotel, it is not worth it.

Great customer service Filthy rooms with stains all over the sheets, furniture, floors, walls, bathroom. Everywhere. And the pool was closed. Looked like it had not been open in over a year.

We have stayed at this location on two separate occasions now, while visiting Carowinds. The staff are friendly, the property is clean, and the breakfast is a huge plus! Especially with 4 kids. They were very accommodating and offered us a room on the bottom floor once they saw us bringing our stuff in with the kids. We were sad that the pool was closed for maintenance this most recent time. But, no complaints at all! This is definitely my hotel of choice for future visits.

We got there very late and check in went well. We got to the room and it was extremely hot. The AC was completely off. It took over 2 hours for it to cool for us to be even to sleep. It never got cold all night. The bathroom didn’t look very clean either. We got up early the next morning and just left.

Its about 4-5 mins from carowinds and the staff are very nice, the breakfast as a simple eggs and potatoes and waffles and smaller things which was very nice but pool was closed for maintenance kinda sad about that! Though food and gas is walking distance for the most part so not to bad but could be better.

We stayed here for two night to attend a function with A Kid Again at Carowinds. This seemed to be convenient. Upon first entering and looking through pictures online, it was pleasant. The reception area was well painted and smelled wonderful. Got checked in to our rooms to start noticing little things. First the room had three lamps which all shared two bulbs that actually worked in the room. Had to move them around in the lamps to actually be able to see in the dark. The beds… are wore out. Completely. There are no if ands or buts. They are done. This should be the very first thing you change when remodeling in my opinion. I did not rest/sleep either night. Unacceptable. Especially paying $100 a night. Security locks on the doors were busted. Outlets in the rooms were broken and not able to be used. The pool. Advertised online as being operational. Not. In. Any. Sense. Of. The. Word. They had it closed down, not covered. It was gross, things floating in the pool and they were using the pool area as a catch all. Nasty. Breakfast. Not much to say about this. It was okay. Not anything to brag about and not much protein to be eaten. Juice was non existent and coffee was not even warm. Ice machine and vending machine on second floor didn’t work. Had to go to the gas station in front of the hotel to get ice/goodies. I would say this place has a long way to go, especially charging so much for staying. They are making strides to clean it up but they have a ways to go.

We stayed here for two night to attend a function with A Kid Again at Carowinds. This seemed to be convenient. Upon first entering and looking through pictures online, it was pleasant. The reception area was well painted and smelled wonderful. Got checked in to our rooms to start noticing little things. First the room had three lamps which all shared two bulbs that actually worked in the room. Had to move them around in the lamps to actually be able to see in the dark. The beds… are wore out. Completely. There are no if ands or buts. They are done. This should be the very first thing you change when remodeling in my opinion. I did not rest/sleep either night. Unacceptable. Especially paying $100 a night. Security locks on the doors were busted. Outlets in the rooms were broken and not able to be used. The pool. Advertised online as being operational. Not. In. Any. Sense. Of. The. Word. They had it closed down, not covered. It was gross, things floating in the pool and they were using the pool area as a catch all. Nasty. Breakfast. Not much to say about this. It was okay. Not anything to brag about and not much protein to be eaten. Juice was non existent and coffee was not even warm. Ice machine and vending machine on second floor didn’t work. Had to go to the gas station in front of the hotel to get ice/goodies. I would say this place has a long way to go, especially charging so much for staying. They are making strides to clean it up but they have a ways to go.

Very old and run down. Room smelled like stale smoke/musty and was aweful. Pillows are half a pillow and only 2 on the bed. Blanket stained. Metal bars sticking out from under the boxspring platform (like they were added for a wider bed but the current smaller bed left them sticking out so someone would get out of bed and seriously injure themselves).

The location was extremely convenient for going to the Carowinds amusement park. Matt at the front desk was very accommodating and helped with any questions we had. Room was spacious, but the bathrooms are tight! The door literally almost touches the toilet. But nice and quiet overall.

I didn’t even stay there after I saw the the unkept property. And people hanging around and dimly lit parking lot. The building was look like it was in disarray in various forms of construction. I didn’t feel like it was safe for me and my grandson to stay there. I tried to cancel the reservation, but of course it was too late and I got charged anyway, but anyone should understand the reason I didn’t stay.

I like the customer service representative when i arrived on property but the next day my tv wasnt working and at first i was told i couldnt switch rooms from a different representative.Me and my family eventually did switch rooms.The ice or drink machine did not work.The continental breakfast was good.

Stain in bathtub, floors in bathroom were dirty, the hall way has not been clean, full of stain. Perhaps if this is a chain the person responsible for standards should visit. I should have taken pictures… the reference was to. Be 8 out of 10 but my evaluation is 3 max..

Last second emergency booking and I wish I had stayed nearly anywhere else: mold in bedroom around curtain, rips through curtain/screen, paper-thin walls & nearly all-night noise from adjoining/nearby rooms, holes in towels. Microwave nuked eggs looked and tasted three days old, waffles felt and tasted like a papier-mâché adhesive, coffee seemed to be a day old as well. Then the key card locked me out two hours before checkout and had to await someone showing up to the desk to reload it.

Staff were very efficient & helpful. The room was spacious, well equipped and clean. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. (No juice available) It was in a convenient location. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

When i booked the room i stated it was for 4 people. Upon entering the room only 2 towels and 2 washclothes was available for 4 people to use. Had to go to the front desk to ask for more as there were only girls on this trip and the night time staff stated that I could only get 2 more washcloths and 2 more towels. The females in my group wash more than once a day so they were not happy with the little bit the hotel offered. Not counting the fact that the website misleads you to think that this property is on Carowinds Blvd and clearly it is not as we had to drive back and forth to the park because the hotel is across the street behind a convenience store. Not happy at all

The 1st room the bathtub took a while to drain. The power was out due to a hurricane, only certain rooms and the hallway had power. The hotel clerk was a very nice and accomodating man. He worked the afternoon shift. He moved us from one room (without power) to a room with power. The carpet in the room felt sticky. The ceiling in the breakfast area and over the windows started leaking and then the ceiling over the breakfast area fell in. The power finally came back on fully after 3 days.

The room was decent enough. We were in town for scarowinds weekend. I probably wouldn't book here a second time though unless they did thorough renovations. It's a bit rough around the edges but served our purpose.

Reception area was very strong smell of air freshner but once we passed that hallway had a musky smell and once entering room the smell was terrible, moldy smell. Could not stay as grandson is asthmatic and had an almost immediate reaction - I was charged anyway but health is more important - unfortunately not a good experience :(

The property was disgusting. It was filthy and cigarette butts everywhere. The carprt in the hallway was so old the design had faded and was black. We were eating breakfast and wires were exposed around the bar. I won't stay there again for sure.

The area was filthy with trash and cigarette butts. You could tell no one cleans it up. The carpet was filthy. I felt unsafe. You'd think being near Carowinds it would be nice but it was horrible. In the bathroom, dirt was around the base of the door. And the toilet wasn't even connected to the floor.

Toilet fell apart rooms were musty carpet so dirty it made my white socks black n breakfast supplies were empty n staff gave an attitude when asked to refill .

Free breakfast was pretty good; scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, waffle, toast, cereal, yogurt, coffee, & juices. No breakfast meat. We’ve stayed here many times and know what to expect.

Overall, it was a pretty bad experience. Check in took a long time because the guy working the counter was on his personal cell phone the entire time and it wasn’t just one call. Talk to you about five different people. One of our rooms had a broken commode and it took me a long time to convince him to give us a new room. The next morning breakfast was very skimpy. And the morning clerk was on his personal cell phone the whole time as well. My bed was comfortable and the bedroom was clean, but the bathroom was dirty.

The vent in the bathroom fell and was hanging, I could see where someone had placed a wad of cleanex to hold it in place on the side that fell. They fixed it the right way by the time I got back that night but the shower rug they walked all over and it was dirty. I would have rated the room's cleanliness excellent but the outside of the tub had mold. I used a hand towel and with little effort what I wiped came off. Breakfast was good the first day but the second day there didn't have any meat/protein. Juices were good. Fruit was fresh. Staff were friendly. Might stay here again.

The guy at the desk was very helpful when we went to secure our room for the second night, bed was comfortable and room was nice and peaceful.

My check in experience was quite something! The man working the counter was foreign and I couldn't understand him at all. When I had parked and was getting my luggage out. There were a couple of men sitting out in the parking lot on the curbs in between cars, that made me have an uneasy feeling. One was making gestures towards me. The room was my only positive experience. Bed was nice and comfy and the water pressure from the shower was excellent. The next morning when I was leaving young girl sitting on the AC unit inside her room on the second floor with the window raised talking on the phone with her feet dangling outside the window down the wall. When did second floor windows open? That was a first! And then walking to the car here comes a lady of the night, thigh high boots, mini mini skirt with her outfit unzipped in the back. Very sketchy place. I wouldn't stay here again.

The bed was comfortable. The room was good and roomy. It had a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast was awful, but we weren't here for the food.

Sam at the Front desk is very nice, friendly, and professional. He explained things to us very clearly. When I asked him for a shower cap, he didn't have it at that time but he remembered it and found one for me, which demonstrated to me that he cared about the customer. The room is clean and tidy. The refrigerator and microwave in the room are very handy for us.

Kids running around the halls, late into the evening. Eggs were terrible.

It is a dump in my opinion.

The toilet and tub water backing up and I had to plunge it myself

Horrible. First the ac sounded like a construction crew was outside our window. Second the toilet seat cover was to small for the base of the toilet so it wasn't even on properly leaving space between the seat cover and stem. Third the tub was filthy. And the worse part while sleeping my feet got bitten up (I want to say by bed bugs because the scarring). So disappointed. Will not return here again!!!

This hotel was not great our rooms had a lot of broken things and was very dirty. The sheets hand a lot of stains. The shower was dirty and the overal room was not clean.

The workers were not very helpful, and someone was smoking marijuana continuously on the second floor. We had to stuff a towel under the door to restrict the smell. One of the front desk employees was coughing and sick, and housekeeping never cleaned our room. I had to take dirty towels to the front desk to get new ones myself.

Very nice value hotel. Rooms and lobby updated nicely. Shower water did not get very hot. Perfect for a visit to Carowinds.

Overall a good stay while in town to visit Carowinds. Rooms are comfortable and clean but hallways, especially carpets, could use some updating.
