Our air-conditioning unit did not work so they had us moved to a Sister hotel which worked out for us. Staff was kind and willing to help on a busy weekend during spring break.

Location is awesome. Sooo may pools. The hot tub was literally hot. nobody bothers you , very green. No restaurants on site. No musis at the pool area. We had to move to Miami for that. But in general very nice. Even if the room was ready in the morning, we were asked to pat $25 fee for that. So we agreed to wait until normal check in time.

You get exactly what you pay for!! Clean, convenient, and the staff is always helpful.

The property is old but workable. Bathtub was dirty, so were corners of the room dingy lights. It worked bacause i only slept there.

Overall 4 stars, room was clean, staff is friendly, but there’s room for improvements since they have raised the rates. This is a nicely landscaped property, but there’s not enough lounge chairs near the pool. At times, the wait for the office staff to show up after the RING camera was excessive.

Room was not clean enough plus bathroom door did not close , water from shower and sink came out dirty . Outdoor pools need maintenance (cleaning,pressure washing and paint some areas ). (THE STAFF WAS GREAT VERY FRIENDLY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

We did not have a full kitchen as expected. The air conditioner wasn't adequate to cool the room because it ran the entire time. There was only one ice machine for 6 buildings and there was never any ice available. The TV was so small at its distance from the bed we couldn't even use it. We paid 10.00 a night to park and at this this time of the year it wasn't necessary. We didn't realize there was plenty of free parking on the street very close. The room was large. The bed was comfortable and the room had been renovated except for the jalousie windows did not close all the way and one was broken.

Staff was great upon arrival unfortunately there was a lot of unusable things in the room like couple lights were out. I had to get a new iron cause it was broken and it didn’t help that the room that was rented next to us was rented out to like a bunch of 16-year-olds so the first night and then half of the all day morning almost into like 2 o’clock they were nonstop, banging, and screaming and just partying. I felt a little unsafe. I mentioned that they said well if you’re unsafe just let me know and I said well I’m letting you know, but I was never moved, but I did notice that the people were gone the next day so I don’t know if that was them they took it upon herself to remove the wildness or the people just checked out best part of the place the pools they were very clean very enjoyable no traffic. I do have to give up that, but for the price it definitely was not worth it.

Normally you get what you pay for but the price was very high for what I got. March break I keep hearing is the reason, but there is a limit. the place was clean but was worth $80 max.

As others have stated, several of the rooms are in need of a refresh. It looks like some have been updated, whereas others still need the work. Our room was in need of a refresh. But, the AC worked well, the linens were clean and crisp, and all things in the bathroom worked as they should. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool, and appreciated all of the details the gardens have. No regrets booking here, and would do so again if in Fort Lauderdale.

Waited 30 minutes to check in because no staff was in office. Called, texted to get staff to come. There were six guests waiting. The whole unit was very clean. Did not use the hot tub. Did not know where it is. Saw other guests at the pool seemed enjoying themselves.

check in said any time after 3pm and no one was in the office when we got there at 5pm, we waited 30 minutes and then when we could finally get attended our room wasn’t ready they are understaffed and undercleaningstaff the front lady was nice not her fault and the cleaner as well but this is so unacceptable on top of that we have to pay to park at the property never again.

The number of pools around the property is amazing - which means you have a high chance of getting a pool to yourself. The landscaping is beautiful and truly makes it feel tropical. It would have been nice to have a few essentials in the kitchen such as: dish soap, sponge, hand towel, salt and pepper, etc.

I enjoyed the variety of pools and the location. I was close to the beach and many restaurants. Benny in the front office was very helpful. It was busy during spring break but they did a great job of accommodating us.

Very good place to spend your vacation very clean and quiet

Simple yet perfect, if you looking for a clean bed and room to sleep and shower. This is the place. Its an affordable location right next to the beach without all that extra stuff.

Very patient and ready to help amazing staff

Not sure why this place got some bad reviews. Sure it is old but maintained impecibly. Still has a lot of the 1950’s vintage charm without being run down at all. Very clean. The guy working the desk was so helpful and the room we got was enormous! And yeah - there is a hot tub! Definitely will stay here again.

No hot water, bathroom door wouldn’t shut. Walks are very thin, can hear neighbors blasting music in middle of night. Only good thing is the pools

Where do I begin? I knew booking last minute was going to be either an amazing experience or a dreadful one. I will say, location is really the only plus out of this stay for me at least. I really wished Hotels.com had mystery shoppers/inspectors and yearly photo update requirements for hotels they promote or offer on their site. I paid to stay at Winterset and ended up in the building next to Winterset in an outdated room, with no running hot water and poorly insulated connected doors, hearing neighbors at all hours of the night. This was a learning experience for sure. Book at your risk.

The noise policy was not enforced, we had neighbors partying and being very loud from 12am-4am

The location is awesome! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The amount of pools was great, there were 9 of us and we had a pool to ourselves. Our room was clean and comfortable. The outside needs a little sprucing up.

I think for the price there was value in staying here. It was a close walk to the beach . the hot tub was HOT just like i like it! . the other heated pool was also nice and peaceful There was no blow dryer in the room but they were very nice and quick about bringing one to us. The only bad thing was the musty smell in the bathroom.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy. Felt secure and safe. Noise level was okay. Not good for light sleepers or people who like to sleep in. WiFi was terrible. Had to use mobile data most of the time.

The pools were fine- but could have been cleaner Room was filthy, old, run down, cracks through the doors, noisy at night, humidity in the room made all our clothes stink, the floor had never been cleaned, air conditioner very noisy. This hotel was not as advertised. I would not recommend this to anyone. Booking.com needs to take this hotel off their places to stay. Completely unsatisfactory! No ice machines, laundry, vending machines.

The landscape and pools are beautiful. Staff is amazing. The room was standard but very clean. I would not want to stay anywhere else! 3 blocks to the beach and great location to nigjt life! Love it!

I still can't get used to having no one at the front desk. I had to wait several minutes at the front desk area for someone to arrive via scooter. It's a small thing but I couldn't sign in to my Disney account on the room's tv so I couldn't watch nfl playoff games on the weekend or the hockey game I would have watched if I could have logged on. The tv said that Disney on that device was unavailable because of “suspicious activity" from an account that used it in that room. All in all, your place has a lot of potential, but the stark room with its dated fittings and subpar electronics, when coupled with the unavoidable intrusion of rude neighbor guests chain smoking outside my door ruined this spot forever for me.

Beware!!! The pictures are very disieving! When we arrived at the hotel the clerk went to check on our room to see if it was ready with a rag a can of air freshener, she came back & took me up to see it before we completely checked in - it was DISGUSTING!! The couch was filthy with stains all over. The air freshener smell about chocked me! There was NO way I was staying there! She took me to another room & said it was much nicer & had granite countertops, went in that room & still - I could not stay there . She said they were sold out & would try one of their other properties- after being on the phone back & forth with the manager - nothing! I asked if I could just please cancel , there was no way I would sleep in those rooms. I called Expedia and after being on the phone for 30 min they said they would refund me but had to contact the hotel to make sure they don’t charge me - the hotel refused to cancel & then took me to another room ( remember they were sold out) it was very very tiny - no kitchenette but it had newer flooring & was a bit updated . I said fine , went back to check in where they were having issues on the computer because of moving me. The manager came down - her & the clerk checking me in her pretty nasty to each other - After an hour and 45 min we got to our room . We had large suitcases they were heavy that we had to lug up all the stairs. The bed was hard as a rock !! Terrible experience! I see why they take the guests to the room before checking them i

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and went above & beyond. The room was very clean and had all the basic amenities. The location was great with beach access a few minutes' walk away. We wish we were in the area longer.

This is an older property in a classic sense. But it fit my needs perfectly. I was walking distance to a conference hotel that was double the price. A nice easy walk to restaurants and the beach. Clean room, clean sheets, hot shower was all I needed and they hit it out the park. If you need conceirge and other hotel like ammenities this is not for you. If your self sufficient this is a great spot.

The only room to unpack was a small shelf in the closet. The closet had a curtain instead of a door. The mattress was incredibly hard. The toilet was lower than usual and the basin on the sink never really fully drain. On a positive note, the staff was friendly.

but I DID NOT get room I was asking for 1 month ahead of time -- did not inform me that it won't be possible to reserve for me front desk not available and cannot communicate easily with rooms not in a good condition - smelly and old ---maybe good for seasonal workers or somebody to stop and have room for 1- 2 nights if nothing else is available around.

Pretty grounds. The place is a complex of several mini hotels over several blocks in the area. You can use the pool at any of the various locations. They could use some extra help at the checkin desk, but the staff was very nice. Room is definitely basic, so its a little pricey for what you get, but its just hard to find and pay a reasonable price in this area!

The property is peaceful, clean and nicely maintained, and their staff -- specifically the overnight, front desk agent, Alvaro -- is great! His customer service is top noch and he should be recognized for it.

We really enjoyed the hot tub! Marty at the front desk was very helpful. We had a plumbing issue in our room and he addressed it promptly. The staff also made sure that we had clean towels everyday

Stayed Fri 4/11-4/12 at Winterset in what must be their most Basic, pets permitted, first floor room (6103) The keyless entry combo keypad was great, bed was very comfortable. But… no chair or table in the room, no place to lay out wet swimsuits or towels. The closet door and the front door get trapped when opened at the same time; the front door swings in and the closet door swings out. The bathroom door narrowly opens when you’re inside and the door handles are upside down making it awkward to open. Strangely, No full size mirror or telephone in the room. Only the Q bed 2 nightstands with convenient USB port lamps, a tall dresser in the closet with a mini fridge, mini microwave and weak teabag style coffee maker. Thankfully a nearby food truck serves REAL coffee, breakfast and lunch, limited menu and hours. we did very much enjoy the pool bar and the many pools that were available to swim on the Properties, all of the staff were very attentive, did their best to keep the properties clean and well appointed, landscaping was very beautiful, gas barbecue grills were available to use. You can bring your own cooler and food and drinks. We had a great time. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the room was so basic. had I been a little better prepared for that I would’ve been much more comfortable. suggest to the hotel to add a basic chair and table to that room. Also someplace to hang wet bathing suits and towels

The room takes a long time to be given to you. We arrived at 3 p.m. and the room wasn't ready until 4:20 p.m. The bed was super uncomfortable and very hard. Otherwise, it was quite acceptable.

This is the most basic of aging motel accommodations. We had a 3:00 pm check-in time but our room was not available until 3:30. If you are looking for a place to sleep for one night, this place will work. If you are staying in Fort Lauderdale for a week, youll likely want to stay somewhere else.

Health reasons this pool is deemed unsafe. The mattresses were old and had many dips in it. You sink into a hole. trying to open the gate at the front entrance, you had to tug on it. It was stuck the other gates at the other properties did not close properly is dilapidated.

Room was very sparse, walls bare, very limited furnishings. Toilet so close to the wall, hard to use. Window on bathroom could not close all the way so ac unit ON all night trying to keep temp setting.

Wish the hot tubs at all of the hotels didn't have the heat turned off but otherwise all has been perfect

We get to office no one there had to wait 10 minutes fot someone to get to office. Place is very run down the grounds are not clean. Cleaning staff didn’t make bed vacuum the floor remove dirty towels. We had an issue with toilet and when we got back from being out all day there was a plunger for us to fix the problem outside our door.

Very dated. Had to carry everything up a flight of stairs. No one in the office. Hair dryer didn’t work. Ceiling fan worked whenever it wanted to. Left early

The room was comfy, had a king bed, kitchenette with mini fridge and microwave, couch. It was a little loud since there is a fountain directly in front of the window, but the place is pet friendly and has wonderful staff. Nice pool and courtyard too. Parking is a little iffy, all off-street, but the staff will help you find a spot.

The staff member who helped us was magnificent... The only real problem we had with our room was little to no connection to the internet with the room's smart tv, so while we were bunkered down, we really were not able to use the TV, even after reconnecting it to the hotel's internet.

Great location,price, pretty area,and convenient...but downside,here we go check ceiling fan 1 speed,no real laps for bedside,no way to charge phones by bed we told staff who came .she didn't know what switch on wall was for .she left.couple days in we noticed our feet feeling weird in bed.come find out they used a flat sheet for fitted sheets left exposing 2ft from bottom of bed.our feet were on mattress or mattress cover itself...we went and bought lamps and a fan for room.we asked for towels etc..,they left them bare on the doorstep of room.not in a bag...but on floor where people walk disgusting..no hot water before or after dinner last nite there.check out girl said leave key in box over intercom but but know thank you for your stay or come back again.

This hotel was awesome! There are 9 total properties you have access to when you stay here, all with their own pools and/or hot tubs (all different water temps too). Be sure to check them all out!

Nice representative but took a long time even though I gave a heads up. The rooms were dirty and very low quality.

The floor was dirty. The bathroom door wouldn’t even close or lock. There was garbage under the beds. No bathroom fan and window was painted shut. No sheet on the bottom half of either bed-just bare mattress

The floor of the room was dirty. The room did not look like the pictures, no mirror. The mattress was at an angle so you rolled into the other person all night which did not make for a good nights sleep. Staff was great, got new towels each night and they helped answer any questions about the location. Outdoor areas were great. Lots of plants and really enjoyed the hot tub. Great location close to beach and coffee/ dinner spots. Constant smokers made the pool area less enjoyable.

First of all, parking on site is scarce. We had to drive around the building a couple times to find anything that would work. We checked in and the staff was the highlight of the night. They were welcoming and nice. We entered our room were greeted by a scurrying roach. we then went to the bathroom to wash up and found the toilet was wobbling (it wasn’t properly affixed to the floor). exhausted from our day, and only needing a place to grab a few hours of sleep, we hopped into bed.. and the bottom sheet didn’t fit the mattress mattress was actually not covered at the foot of the bed. The finishes in the room are subpar and cheaply done. There is no outlet to charge phones near the bed. Overall, I can’t say I’d recommend.

I was giving a room with connecting door, and requested to changed it. However the 2nd room has a broken missing glass piece in bathroom window and is completely unsafe and without any privacy in shower. Is not what i expected, and was debating on extending one more night since i checked in after 12 midnight to my booking.

Like Fort Knox. Definitely not worth what they charged and if I wouldn’t have lost money I would have canceled and went to another hotel. Location to beach was nice though. Pools were old but clean.

We loved it! We had the suite. It was really big spacious, very clean.

I love this place it was very clean. We had three rooms in total. We are a big family and it was perfect. We felt like we had to place to ourselves.

Internet did not work and had roaches floor was extremely dirty 😞

Items we had inside spoiled. Front desk came viewed issue said we had too many items which is why it’s not cooling and we should give it 24 hrs. Their solution was to provide ice and they would open ticket with engineering. We stayed 2 nights and no one came back for resolution. We would stay there again just not bring food that requires refrigeration. Unfortunately we had a toddler so needed a lot of things refrigerated this trip

This is the 4th Beach Village collection hotel I’ve stayed. Service was the friendliest but disappointed in room. Lots of gaps in doors so noise from adjoining rooms could be heard. Bed was comfortable and Bathroom met needs. Basically room is from a 50’s converted condo. Slapped white paint on the walls. Same tiled floor and bath fixtures. Meh!

Great location for access to the beach. The room was comfortable, although the bed was soft for my taste. Our upstairs neighbors stomped around until late and made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

check-in was simple and the girl was informative and helpful. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned too well, but I feel like if these few issues were changed it would be an even better place to stay, a few minor inconveniences which were fixable, but overall a cute room with a beautiful outside area . Guests were friendly as well and there were a bunch pools and chairs to sit on. Walking distance to most places which is a plus. You get what you pay for. For the most part it was quiet, and check out was also simple. For the most part I enjoyed my stay despite the few inconveniences. would definitely stay here again but choose a different, bigger room. If you don’t prefer smaller spaces I wouldn’t stay in this room.

Room was smelly and the shower was unfinished. The light in the shower was rusty. The screens in the room.didnt fit. Resort fee a joke for what they provided . In room safe was on the floor and needed a credit card to operate.

When you first see the property. It doesn’t seem like much. But, it was very clean and once we parked we didn’t drive anywhere. Beach restaurants are close. It’s off the beaten path, so you don’t get the party/ beach noise. It was very quiet. The price is hard to beat in this area. The only thing I would suggest is curtains. Because the lights outside from parking is really bright. There is a restaurant very close called “wine garden”. It is true authentic Italian. And the prices were excellent.

My experience was awful. The room was disgusting. The bathroom floor was dirty and that had all black marks all over it. The shower was filled with mold. Mold all over the tiles on the tile floor and the walls. The shower curtain Also disgusting was laying on the floor not fitted properly at all. the sink drain was rusty. There were no doors on the closet. Disgusting brown carpet in the closet. I would not stay here again for all the tea in China. I am very surprised that north beach resorts has a Room this deplorable.

Terrible conditions - this place has gone down hill over the years and checkin for the second timein a row was horrible again...no one around and then on the phone for 20minutes while guests waited... I have stayed at theri properties for over 10 years and clearly no one is minding the candy store! Conditions are dirty, tvs weren't working no batteries in the remotes...and just plain nasty now.

This is an older property from the 50s60era maybe, I enjoyed the fountains and gardens and the art deco of the buildings and stairwells. Everything was fine,the price was good,very walkable to beach and restaurants,the Henry Birch state Park is close to.. I loved it! Overalll housekeeping was good, we were there a week ,and the heated pool was a joy for the eves. Staff was very kind and accommodating. I would stay again.

I did not like the fact that whenever I wanted to go to the pool, there were no Pool Towels available. I had a kitchen but no silverware to cook like a good knife, funnel, wooden spoon, others. The air conditioner was only to cool, it was cold and they had no blankets, and no heating with the Air Conditioner.

OK hotel but not outstanding. Reminded me more of my Army barracks. Floors were dirty and couldn't walk in bare feet. Staff didn't know much about surrounding areas. Normal price was jacked up for people coming in one day early for a cruise.

The nice thing about this hotel is that it affiliated with several others in the immediate area known as North Beach Village and you can use multiple pools and hot tubs in the event that the one at your specific hotel is down for some reason!

The shower only had 1 temperature and it was scalding hot. Hair dryer electrical plug was broken and may have started a fire or electrocuted someone. Part from the refrigerator was on the shelf and had mold all over it.

This property was awful, dirty, room felt like a dirty bad hospital room, property was messy, people hanging around property seemed questionable (past midnight), no second form of lock when inside the room. The only reason we even stayed was because it was so late, and left early in the am.

Plus: The Hot Tub saved this rating! Plus: The staff was VERY helpful! Plus: Great renovation of an older property. Plus: The price is Fair Negative: TV didnt work the 1st night. Negative: Check the weather, if its ever cold at night, theres no Heat, AC only, and no Extra blankets. Negative: Tub/Shower drain was clogged - and couldnt be repaired in 2 days, leaving pipe scum, disgusting!☹️

It is not a new place, by far, with simple, but clean rooms and grounds. While there are three small pools, only one appeared to be heated. Our room had a small kitchenette, which was equipped with small fridge, coffee maker and microwave - coffee and sugar and paper cups were provided, which was appreciated. Service is on call at office but seems to come from another nearby property after a few minutes. NOTE: The group that owns the hotel has several other hotels and restaurants in the area, WHICH Provide a discount of 10% for guests... but this was not explained by the office staff on arrival, so we only discovered it on check out!
