Unfortunately, the gentleman on duty Sunday evening placed a green parking violation sticker on my car even though our parking pass was clearly visible on the dashboard. That was definitely disappointing and unnecessary. That said, I can honestly say this has been the only issue we’ve ever had here, and overall we have always enjoyed our stays at Tranquilo.

The hotel was clean, but it needs immediate renovation. Everything is outdated. Kitchen cabinets peeling off, dining table stained. It's a shame because the rooms are spacious, but they need to invest money on renovation. We checked in on a Friday and took the ferry to Bimini next day for a one day trip. When we came back at 11 pm our room door was open. Housekeeping brought towels and left the door open all day! Luckily nothing was stolen. Front desk staff said they were going to report it. Not even sure that means. Nothing else was said or done. Didn't even ask if anything was missing. Overall I can say the room and pool were clean

This place was very clean and comfortable. Literally a five minute walk to the beach. I recommend this place.

First they put me in a dark room all the way in the back. The refrigerator was in the bathroom and so old. I complained so they put me in another room. Much brighter and bigger but the furniture was terrible. The kitchen table all the paint was pealing the bottom of the table was black it looked like it was bought used. Then coming back that night I realized that the sheets were stained. It’s just terrible I complained so they changed the sheets. The floors were old and walls not clean. Even going up the stairs to my room there was a bunch of dirt hair I dunno It was there till I left. I guess they are not even cleaning the property properly. I usually never write such a bad review but this time I really thought I had to. It really ruined my vacation in Lauderdale. Obviously I will not stay there again.

Staff were fantastic and fun to deal with. It was convenient, as in, within walking distance to the beach, bars and restaurants but far enough from any main road so no traffic noise. My room was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen was rudimentary with very basic supplies. I would have like to cook in the suite but it wasn't really possible. I paid for parking but the lot was full on my last night so I had to park on the street.

Don’t come to this stuip motel! Very dirty! When I checked in I found the toilet wasn’t even flashed. And the front desk agents said the housekeeping cleaned it before I came. I also found pee steins on bedsheet! And the overnight front desk agent was unprofessional he went to do something but then left the front desk empty! The afternoon shift persons told me I can check in later tonight

Terrible property. When we arrived, there was no hot water in the room. Staff came and checked it out and said they would let supervisor know. No one got back to us. The room smelled terrible...like they tried to use some kind of deodorizer to cover up other smells. Everything was old and very sparse. They also charged $10 for parking. The only positive thing was that it is located very close to the beach...just a couple of walking minutes away.

The property had ample parking. The pool was clean the area. It was maintain clean. However, the rooms didn’t quite seem like the picture we had a couple of issues with the Wi-Fi was not working and it’ll work and then it wouldn’t be working overall it’s a great area. You’re two blocks away from the beach.

The propriety looks sort of like a prison. And it’s hard to tell it is a hotel because there doesn’t appear to be a sign. The room was clean and the bed was excellent. The staff were nice…when they were there. The office was always locked and we had to use a ring camera to rouse them. Most of the time they were coming from a different property, as if they don’t staff appropriately. I had to stand outside in the heat waiting for them to come back to assist me. But they were nice and allowed us late check out.

Nice quiet location very close to the beach. Even though it doesn’t have the modern look and amenities of the newer hotels in the area it was very comfortable stay and really good for a short stay.

Bathroom sinks too small, only one bedside table for two guests very inconvenient for charging phones , light flickered when we used iron, no shuttle to airport.

My room style was overbooked and I was originally moved to another of the sister sites which I was not happy with due to having other friends coming to Tranquilo, but they eventually upgraded our room so that we could stay together. The room was generally clean, just a little sandy on the floor. The air condition units in each of the separate bedrooms/ living room were run by separate remotes. We couldn’t find some of them. I requested at the front desk that they at least turn the temp down and they came immediately. Room had plenty of towels and fresh ones were brought each day. Each of the pools were clean.. Overall not a bad place to stay near the beach.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL location very close to the beach and some restaurants. The high cost did not match the cleanliness of the rooms and resort though. If you're going to charge this much, your rooms should be spotless. I didn't feel like they were clean enough, and I have pretty low standards.

The place was in a great location in walking distance to beach and restaurants. The place was underwhelming. The room was a little banged up. Lots of chips on the tile floor, the cabinets in bathroom were in bad condition and the remote for the TV wasn't working properly. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. This place would be amazing if the owner put a little TLC into the property.

It was ok for a basic cheap motel. The bed was meh and had no support. The bathroom didnt have a fan and when you took a shower, you would have to open the window and expose your naked body so that the bathroom wouldnt be completely covered in water from the steam (yet it still was). The walls were kinda dirty too. Other than that, it was quiet when we went and the housekeeper ladies were nice and friendly. Had a pool that was clean and fresh towels in the lobby. Probably would spend a little more to get something nicer but if you are just passing through, its decent and close to the beach.

I had to pay extra to get into the room earlier than 3p, even though the room was ready. The property needs a lot of attention. The pools were a mess with debris all over. Once in the room, it was filthy. The floor, the walls haven’t been wiped down. The dust and hair on the baseboard was disgusting. The bathroom was run down. There was no hot water when I went to take a shower and when I called, 4 times, they sent someone an hour and a half later. Only for the shower head to leak while using it, so the shower was a trickle at best. I do not recommend this property at all. The only commendations are the girl at the front desk was nice , it’s a couple minute walk to the beach, and there are many restaurants that are in walking distance. There are many other places in the area that are much nicer and cleaner. I won’t be back.

The room was clean for the most part. Neither TV ever worked. The AC was cold, so was the fridge because it froze everything! Walking distance of the beach but not much else. It was fine for the price but definitely needs some work.

The location was fabulous - close to many restaurants and cafes. A block away is the amazing Bonnet House Museum and Parklands, it's half price on Saturday from 9am-2pm. The room was huge with an extra-large bedroom and kitchenette as well as separate closet space and storage area - you could easily stay for a week or more. The airconditioning worked really well - whcih was necessary as the hot March sun shone on the room all day long. More glassware rather than plastic cups.

The room was huge and very minimalist (very sparsely decorated), and super clean - we had everything we needed. The complex had 3 pools, and was only a few blocks from the beach and restaurants. We liked that it was relaxing and away from the busy areas. Parking was available onsite for $10/day. We were surprised the pool hours were 8a-8p, however it seemed this was true at neighboring properties as well - assume this discouraged late-night partying which was a good thing.

Location is fantastic. It is quiet but only a few minutes walk to the beach and Main Street. The room has everything you need and the a/c unit works great. They accepted luggage check prior to check in so we could enjoy the beach that day. Highly recommend and great value. Also, the communication from the front desk via text message was very convenient.

That said, the rooms feel pretty outdated, even though some of the furniture has been updated. It just doesn’t fully come together. Also, not having curtains in the kitchen is kind of surprising and doesn’t make much sense. Overall, great potential because of the location and service, but the rooms could definitely use a refresh.

The room was very comfortable and the size was perfect for 2 people. The location was perfect. Just a short walk up to the beach! We used the pool closest to our room which was lovely. And there were always plenty of towels on hand for us. We did also love the little the village stores and restaurants and used them daily for breakfast and browsing. One thing that was disappointing, we wanted to use the gym so when we walked over to that building we were told it was out of service. They then directed us to another building with different gym and when we got there. It was closed and again we were not able to access it. Nobody was on site to help us access it.

Lots to do nearby! we enjoyed having access to all the connected properties! room was nothing fancy but more then satisfactory for laid back travellers that are here for the beach and sun! amazing restaurants near by, tons to do within 10-20 minutes walking distance!

It was pretty close to the beach It’s all falling apart. When we got there, an outside table was broken with glass everywhere by the pool. Later we used another pool and all the chairs were falling apart with either the backs being broken or the chair part itself caving in. Also the manager,I believe that was his duty, wasn’t very helpful or accommodating.

Liked how close it was to the beach. Liked that there was lots of room. Liked that their were towels, beach towels, and shampoo, cond, and soap provided. Liked that it was clean. One of the beds was extremely uncomfortable (others were fine). Only one skillet and it was teflon and in VERY bad condition. 2 showers, one of which was scalding and couldnt be adjusted.

Staff were helpful, facility is generally attractive, pools & courtyards are nice, excellent location. Room was a little spare & dated — a little more in terms of amenities would go a long way. Bed & bedding were’t the best. And we had some loud (and long) ruckus going on above us at 2am.

The staff was awesome! The telephone support was great! The rooms were clean. But the pictures on Expedia do not match up with the actual room quality. It was a motel level room. The bed was way too soft. Bed springs poked out. I would not stay here again.

I liked the pools and the quietness of the area. I enjoyed a quiet relaxing spot. My room bathroom door was hard to shut and open and when they said they cleaned before our check in it don’t look completely spotless.

I didn't use the laundry or hot tub.

The location of this motel is great! A close walk to the beach, as well as some bars and restaurants. The pool areas are nice too. Staff was super nice as well! The room could use some updates, and a deep clean.

Too complicated!! By not being able to lock my door. I incurred a 22.00 Uber ride charge because we couldn't get it locked and they canceled on my whole waiting and incurred another 3.00 charge. I wasn't happy about this. Needs a new look and needs lots of repairs.

First, we were double charged for resort fee by both Expedia and the hotel, but that was later corrected by a more experienced employee. Second, this “resort” is basically a motel. While the location is good and the pool was quite nice, nothing else about this place is inviting. People who have called the room dated are being very generous. The rooms are in terrible shape - door lock not working, kitchen sink was dripping into the cupboard and wetting the floor, living room light was flickers and thus unusable, window handle broken, walls are dirty and have water damage, barely any furniture (no closet at all), kitchen appliances and pots/pans are rusty and disgusting. The bright side - AC was very good and TV was smart. Lastly, due to the storm we ended up only staying one night instead of two because our plans kept changing. No one entertained the thought of refunding us for the second night. So not only this was one of the worst hotels we ever stayed in, we paid for a night we didn’t stay. Would highly recommend to avoid!

Smell of cat urine we found from air conditioning. Bed was uncomfortable and 1 of 3 pools were heated.

It was very close to the beach. Just a 500m walk. Quiet area. The walls were not very sound proof. Had a couple that talked continuously loud from 9pm til 3am on one of the nights. They had verbal diarrhea. I Was very frustrated. I informed the front desk the next morning and they took care of it.

Property was a well maintained one in an excellent neighborhood within walking distance of a beautiful beach. Staff for the most part was friendly and tried to be helpful. Bed was very comfortable, shower pressure was great, and the toiletries were good quality given the type of hotel. Nice swimming pool too. Hotel advertises that beach chairs are available for guests but they don’t have enough of them, no supplies one morning at 9:30. Also, cleaning ladies come too late in the day; one afternoon they didn’t make up the room until 4:30.

The staff told us this morning that they would call us and say what they could do for us… they never did…we just contacted them and they said we could only get a 20% refund for one of the rooms. Which is completely unacceptable. We want a 100% refund to make this right. The other room we booked was dirty and had stained sheets. In addition … upon our arrival we walked around the grounds for about 10 minutes with 2 staff members trying to find our rooms. They seemed uniformed about where the rooms were located. The room was great. I was very disappointed that when I called to request a ground floor unit, they didn't have that message. I couldn't do the stairs, so if the bottom units were sold out, I would have been in trouble.

Not sure if it was mold or something else. Exterior of the building seemed to be kept up to the point to draw questions short of red flags.

Staff very accommodating and kind. Quiet area but quick walk to beach. Room was bigger than expected and very nice. Disgusting and should be inspected by the health department. Woke up with cough, probably the mold in the room triggering it. I should have known the strong chemical smell was a bad sign. When i looked in the room to make sure no bed bugs I lifted the mattress and discovered the floor probably hadnt been swept in a year, full of sand, dust and dirt and I had to sleep above that! The nightstand tops and bottoms full of dust, the baseboards around the room dust and dirt and hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Under the bathroom sink a large hole in the wall with black mold growing. Room number 201, watch out! How does this place have so many good reviews, it's one of the filthiest rooms ive ever stayed in! The lack of proper cleaning including under beds and tables and sinks and renting out a room with a hole in the wall and mold and is crazy to put my health at risk. Was sincerely disappointed!

Perfect! There is a kitchen with a full sized fridge and eating area, sitting area with couch and tv. There is plenty of room. We loved staying here. The pool was clean. Property is well maintained and spotless. Parking was easy and cheap in comparison to many other places. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Area is packed with options for coffee, dining etc. all within walking distance. Beach is literally 4 - 5 min walk max. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. Highly recommend.

Property is well maintained and spotless. Parking was easy and cheap in comparison to many other places. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Area is packed with options for coffee, dining etc. all within walking distance. Beach is literally 4 - 5 min walk max. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. Highly recommend.

There was plenty of space, however, you need to walk through the 1st bedroom to get to the 2nd bedroom, and there was no water pressure in the 2nd bedroom bathroom. Daughter had to use our bathroom to shower. I am not certain if the tiles & light switches are stained or if they were dirty. Overall, Tranquilo is in a good location, friendly staff, and comfortable. We would stay there again.

We always stay at Tranquilo when we visit Fort Lauderdale. The location, staff and price are not to be beaten.

The front desk was not there to check me in and when eugine showed up he never called or notified he was there. And when i did reach him to find out he a as there. Upon entering he became loud, violently slapped the counter and was rude. I left and requested a full refund. I was almost charged for a room that i never gained access too thanks to crappy front desk .Expedia people did there job and gave me my refund. This place however is not safe

Booked this hotel late as a 1 night stop-over before getting on a cruise the next day after being let down by our previous accommodation and wished we'd found it first time round! Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was massive and spotless with a comfortable seating area and a kitchen area. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the beach. Would also recommend Archibalds Village Bakery for breakfast, just a few mins away too.

Everything was perfect !!...We did check in at 2 am without problem. The room was very confortable, clean and nice. Location !!!, just walking to the one of best beaches in SFL. The value for money at this hotel is quite good

This is a charming old school boutique hotel that we thoroughly enjoyed. The ability to use the pools and facilities at their other nearby properties was great. We'll be back!

Facilities worn. Room was damp. Black mold on towel in door between rooms. People up talking all night. Dog barking. Didn’t sleep. Never again!

The room was mostly clean, very dated. It looks nothing like the photos. The bed is full size, not queen and very low to the ground. It’s walkable to many restaurants and the beach.

I love this style of hotel! My only issue was I could have used another lamp. It seemed dark. I know being near the beach in Florida there will be a musty smell, but this room it was very strong of musty and bleach. I left the door open for a little while but I think it's just the age and location of the hotel.

The stay was very nice as usual BUT if people will be their w their dogs they need to clean up after them. the room in the corner had 2 dogs n the little one ( I assume the pile was mall) poop on the walkway to the grill . We grilled out twice while we were there. Its a VERY nice place to stay we usually stay 5 days . We ALWAYS get a deluxe room ( has a fridge & stove ) our couch was broke manager had it replaced with in a hour

The housekeeping staff did not follow through on issues that I had daily in the room. I'm not sure if the front desk staff was communicating with them or just ignoring my request.

On the good side, The location is great , it was very clean and secure to walk by. The free buss to la Olas Blvrd. drop you just near the hotel. the beach is walking distance.

The hotel is nice! Three pools and a 3 minute walk to the beach! I would 100% rebook this place. I liked that I could use text message to talk with the front desk instead of having to walk to the desk.

Staff was very friendly and the room had everything we needed! Area was within walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. Would come here again!

Door was impossible to open and had to cross the road each time you deal with front desk. Nothing they did to resolve the issue.

Properly is good, great location! But they don’t allow music no even low, no at anytime, no speakers at all! So if you are looking to relax and want to listen tk alme good music at day time, look for another place! Beside that overall a good hotel

AMAZING STAY WITH HELPFUL STAFF

There is no guaranteed parking, there was no hot water in the room, the receptionist said he couldn't help me and that I should find my parking space.

Bright white or Natural White is for outside around the property. Also kitchens with no glass or silver ware.

The place was fine for the price and location. However, the room needed more attention in cleaning. Dust was visible on the walls. The shower wasn't very clean, nor was the floor. Additionally, the door was difficult to open because it would get stuck and required force to open and close it.

Stuff is friendly and great. Short distance from beach and the pools made this place the best option for our Spring break vacation with two young kids

Property exceeded my expectations. Had a great date night. Live in Florida and just wanted to get away for an evening. Went to a great restaurant within walking distance and took an Uber to a club 15 minutes away. Property was clean and front desk was quick and cheerful.

We definitely enjoyed our stay. To find good accommodations for a reasonable price that close to the beach was a big win.

Nicholi the Front Desk agent is amazing. He really enjoys his job and you can tell. He was very knowledgeable of the area and had great recommendations.

Check in was at 3pm room was not ready they had us wait told us they would text when ready 4:15pm I went back and room was ready and no text at all. Place looks like old apartments turned into a motel. Area is okay minus the homeless shelter next door. Walking distance to restaurants and the beach.

This place smells inside the room. It's dirty all over. What do I mean by that? The outside hallway's a dirty the pool is dirty. The building is dirty. The rum dirty the décor in the room. There is none it's the most depressing place. I have ever stayed at and I travel all the time for business. The only good thing about this is. It's 5 minutes walk to the beach. But the bad news for these people ISIS a ton of clean places that are also 5 minutes walk from the beach. It's a disgusting place.

The terrazzo floors made the rooms look somewhat unkept or unclean because they weren’t in the best shape but everything else seemed clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location was close to the beach.

We went down for spring break. There was 8 of us. Was told at check in if we were loud we’d be kicked out. We respected that very much. We had two rooms and stayed 3 nights. Everything was perfect. Thanks for having us! Even thought we’re 21 & 22, we do know how to have fun and be respectful. It was clean and close to the beach and very big rooms.

This property was excellent for our one night stay before flying home after a cruise. It is very close to the strip on US one, it has quite a few properties affiliated with it, and apparently you can have access to the others, although we didn't try it. We enjoyed our day by the pool, it was a lovely afternoon. The rooms are very spacious, a bit dated, but we didn't need anything more than that... I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Tranquilio for my spring break and was so thankful and happy that I decided to stay there. Right when I got there, Guillermo or he also goes by William was AMAZING. He brought positive vibes, and gave me great information about the hotel, properties around me, and things to do throughout my stay. My room was fantastic as well. There’s enough pools as well. There are some pools that are more calm and quiet, and some that are more busy but fun. All of the staff though was great. I loved them all. The beach was about a 5 min walk for me, but the days I walked faster it was about 3 lol. You’re about a 20-25 min walk to the downtown area with all the restaurants and bars which was great as well. Overall the tranquilio was great!

Really disappointed for the price I paid forn a night like $200 and not be able to sleep good. Also when we went to check out early the front desk person was so confused and was telling us that we're not on this hotel even though we showed them our card key and their attitude was like this is not your room??? Like who's it then? Why did you give us the room on the first place!!

Loved the bedroom and living room setup, perfect for spring break. Price was very reasonable and you are given free beach towels as well. Water pressure was like a fire hose if that’s what you’re into. Only gripe was that the floors were never cleaned in our 5 night stay, so towards the end you basically had to wear shoes inside if you didn’t want your feet to be gross. Other than that the cleanliness was good and housekeeping stayed on top of everything else.

Very clean, and quite responsive staff. Easy check-in and check-out. Nice pool area. We walked everywhere very easily. Bed was extra-extra soft. Just mentioning it in case this is not something you like.

Noone checks in tomsee how your check in went and there are no guidelines for how to use the AC or fan. We were only here for 1 night. Moving on to another guest house.

The room was not as ADA compliant as i would have liked with a mobility scooter but I am able to walk and the staff were accomodating for storing the scooter.

It’s in a great location. 2 blocks from beach and lots of options l The wine bar and a great breakfast place right there in that neighborhood. The Parolamount great dining experience 💵💵 I was alone and on the cheap so it served that purpose

The beds did not have comforters. It was a light throw blanket and sheets.. the room I reserved still had people’s clothes in it and a razor on the bathroom floor and dirt in the sink.

Very pleasant, pools and grounds well kept. Close to beach and dining. Room (suite with three beds and kitchenette) was spacious and clean. Unfortunately there were some repairs needed--broken chair, leaking shower faucet that made bathroom floor wet all the time, bathroom door couldn't be locked, also door handles were on backwards. There was a lack of storage but we were only there one night. Staff was pleasant. And helpful.

Very surprised with this hotel! Super clean and the room was very big. Not sure if all rooms have, but the kitchenette was helpful! Service was friendly and good. Location was nice and quiet. Only con was there wasn’t many chairs around the pool. Hotel was not crowded so it wasn’t a problem but I could see it being an issue if it was more busy

They where accommodating with my handicap ensuring I had a room on the first floor I had a couple of minor problems when I called with my problem they where there less than 10minutes and fixed the proplem less than 5minutes. Great choice of Hotel

Great location and a nice remodel on an old building. Still needs some TLC as the paint is chipped and stained walls. Tub was nice but no stopper. Also the doorway was near one of the pools which would be convenient but not really safe for a solo traveler. Worth the value though.
