    Had the fire alarm go off at 4.30 which did make us tired for the next day which was a shame, we had to leave and come back in as the fire was on the beach and the smoke was drifting into the hotel setting the smoke alarms off. Will be back this year if we get chance. The one downside to the hotel is the food at the pool and restaurant that s not that good, we just don’t eat at the hotel and walk to other restaurants to eat.

    Staying at the Ritz Carlton there is an expectation of a clean and well kept hotel. The difference is service people are outstanding. From the check in, room service, restaurant and concierge staff, make the stay worth the added cost over competing hotels.

    The hotel itself was classic Ritz. Beautiful property, great room, attentive staff. The only negative callout is that the beach area is not private for Ritz guests so you get random people setting up next to you, listening to loud music, having family picnics, etc. There were also vendors that periodically came by offering food, drinks, etc.

    We received an upgrade from the hotel upon check in. We were given a junior suite. My only complaint with this property was the housekeeping. I had to keep asking to get our room cleaned. You also have to request ice. There are no ice machines available. The hotel is in a great location and the staff is awesome. The valet, Blaze at the front desk, Sharon in Memories, Richard and Constantine at the pool bar all were wonderful. We would definitely come back to this hotel.

    Food very bad( they reimbursed us for our breakfasts ,)room old and not in a good condition with many things not working ,bed uncomfortable ,our room was facing a huge air conditioning facility with lots of fan noise .The worst Ritz Carlton that I stayed in and believe me , I am a huge Ritz’s fan. Since Marriott and private investors took over…not the same. Too bad. Never again in Ft Lauderdale However the staff was fantastic!

    Hotel just felt poorly run from the second I entered where I opened the door and held it open for my spouse. The front desk was rude and abrupt. They said they would send up a fruit platter but never did. The bathroom in the room could have been cleaner. The balcony's are separated by a see-through fabric and I could see and hear the neighbors. The gym in this place is tiny. They nickel and dime with hidden charges like a $59 charge for the valet. I didn't feel like the ratings and cost of this place are justified and wouldn't recommend.

    The front desk woman didn’t know how to even be hospitible. I attempted to order food the minute I got into my room, but the phone was broken, so even though I was extremely tired, I had to go downstairs to request it be fixed & find a place to order food. My Caesar salad came with shrimp that was so salty, I had to rinse the dressing they put on it off to eat it. Room service forgot to bring salt & pepper. They said they would be right back, I waited since I love pepper on my salad but they didn’t return until I finally ate my entire meal. They claimed there was an issue with the elevators. Then I wanted to take a nap & the maintenance person came & let themselves in to fix the phone! I was startled & jumped up. I asked them to come back later. They said they would come @ 4pm. Instead they came @ 6pm while we were getting ready for dinner. I went to my pedicure app.@ 4 pm. I noticed it was empty but they told me earlier that it was booked up so I could not get a mani/pedi & I needed to pick one or the other. I asked the woman @ the desk if she could get me in for a mani as well, since it was so quiet in there. She said no because they close at 5! So in I went for the pedicure & I was rushed out at exactly 5 with wet toenails & then charged over $100! The manager said she would comp. my lunch for all the issues the hotel was having, but when I check out, the salad was not comped! Also the hotel is old & there is a lot of damage to the walls, frames and cheaply decorated.

    My wife and I stayed at this Ritz-Carlton for our first trip to Florida. To say it was outstanding is an understatement. The hotel, staff, room, service, and included/surrounding amenities are excellent. The ONLY small thing we wish would be changed for future guests and stayers would be to extend the outdoor pool hours a little longer (but they are open very early which was a bonus).

    Overall I am extremely disappointed. I booked the Ritz because I have heard amazing things about the properties. This was my first ever time staying in a Ritz and maybe it’s my bad for having such high expectations. The building is dated, my room wasn’t clean (found multiple hairs and the snacks and drinks were so dusty, the cups were all dusty). The patio furniture looked like it was bought as Walmart. There were big and visible weeds on the pool deck. I had to pay $250 for my dog, the most by far I have ever spent by far for my dog. I pay way less at other hotels and they give me a dog bed or a cute little dog goodie bag. The only highlight was the restaurant, Burlock coast. The staff all knew my name and called me by my name, they brought my dog a water bowl without me having to ask. I know I’m it a high priority client and in the grand scheme of ritz Carlton didn’t spend a lot but for me it was a lot of money. I didn’t even end up staying long the day I checked out, I left earlier than I had planned. I was so excited to treat myself with this staycation - I had won an award at work and this was my own little reward. It’s drinks that it was so underwhelming and wished I had booked somewhere else.

    We spent our entire vacation at the hotel. Didn’t even walk across the street to the beach, even though that would’ve been easy. The ocean view cabanas are not cheap but they’re also a great deal because the relaxation factor is off the charts. Plus the staff that works that part of the resort are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The staff overall is amazing.

    We just returned from our stay at the Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale. Almost all of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could possibly be. The weather was perfect and the ocean was so warm So much to do and see within easy walking distances. We will most definitely return.

    The hotel, the lobby, the hallway it all feels and looks like a 3.5 star Hilton hotel. There is no feeling of a Ritz whatsoever. The pool is like a Holiday Inn pool. The strip the hotel is on is not a nice strip but more like Cancun Spring Break. Its ideal for teenagers who want to sleep on the beach and get drunk in the bars all around. Everything.

    I enjoyed the breakfast in room. The food was good and tasty. The bathroom was clean, and plenty of towels. I liked they provide the bathrobe and hairdryer. The carpet has stains. It should be more cleaner. It is not too much to say about what I did not like. The only thing is the carpet should be washed and vacuumed more.

Not a cozy or boutique feel that I typically prefer. Bathrooms are spacious and nice. The restaurant downstairs has a pretty good menu and the coffee bar in the morning is convenient. In terms of the area, Fort Lauderdale has really gone downhill in the beach area. The property is safe but I wouldn’t walk around at night alone. Would come again for business and stay here but not for pleasure.

    This is my gold standard, anything less is unacceptable. Everything, EVERYTHING was amazing. I have to add, a small low voltage microwave is really needed. We wasted some food that could’ve been reheated. With that being said, AAAAA all the way around.

    We had the worst Uber driver in the entire world on the way there to status Whitton let's get in the car. We will see and look at pretty ragged and the staff was just exceptional from the check in to the Robert who got our bags to the man at the pool to the weight staff in the bartenders could not have been better all of it. We already booked a return trip, best hotel ever.

    I’ve stayed at the Ritz in Key Biscayne through Airbnb and the experience was much better. No resort fees and expensive valet parking and the food there was much better. It’s a nice place but way overpriced.
