Property was clean so were the rooms but the irons they have for you to use don’t match the appeal of the amenities offered. Other than mandatory valet, the price is well worth the ocean view.

Close to the beach Linen was stained when I arrived, the deposit was too much and I’ve been to 5 star hotels with cheaper deposits. I was there for 5 nights and my room was cleaned twice.

Beach view was great and mostly everything was in walking distance. Didn't really have to leave the area if you didn't feel up to it. Everything from food and shopping was in the area.

Close to the beach and place of work I recently stayed at this hotel for a quick business trip and was thoroughly let down by the lack of basic amenities and indifferent staff. From the moment I pulled up, things felt off. Valet parking was the first red flag — $45 per night, which felt extremely expensive for what turned out to be average service. They were slow to retrieve my car the next morning, and I had to wait over 20 minutes despite being one of only a few guests checking out. The real frustration came with the luggage situation. Upon arrival, there wasn’t a single luggage cart available at the entrance. When I asked the front desk for one, the employee just shrugged and vaguely pointed toward the elevators. I ended up wandering around three different floors like an idiot, dragging my heavy suitcase and carry-on up and down hallways before finally locating one tucked away in a service area. No one offered to help, and no apology was given when I mentioned how ridiculous it was. Customer service overall felt nonexistent. Staff seemed disengaged and unprepared for even basic requests. Check-in was slow, and simple questions about amenities were met with minimal effort responses. For a hotel charging these rates, I expected at least competent and attentive service — not this level of inconvenience. The room itself was fine (nothing special), but the poor first impression and lack of support really soured the entire experience. I won’t be returning and would caution others to look elsewhere unless you enjoy self-service chaos and expensive add-ons. Save your money and dignity — there are better options nearby.

Incompetent people up front. Before booking i was told it would be a 300 hold per usual. As we’re checking in we’re told it’s 700. Also valet parking is 62 bucks a night. Their “complimentary” breakfast isn’t complimentary. You have to order anything 23 bucks and under and they prioritize people who pay over the people that paid for the “comped” breakfast. Also was told when we checked in our room that was paid for was not ready so had to stay in a different room. It was clearly an older room and wasn’t even remotely close to the layout i paid for. Beautiful property and wonderful staff. Our room was ready early and upgraded to a high rise with a view!!! We had complimentary beach chairs and the pool was perfect!

I had the Ocean Corner Room with floor to ceiling windows…CHEFS KISS TO THE OCEAN VIEW & SCENERY. Will definitely make this my go to hotel whenever I come to Fort Lauderdale.

We arrived prior to check in on 5/22/26. The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. They were able to find an excellent room for us prior to our scheduled check in with a beach view. The room was large, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a pleasant breakfast in the lobby coffee shop later that morning. Ft Lauderdale beach is right across the street and the hotel provides complementary beach chairs and towels. We really enjoyed our stay and especially appreciate the front desk staff's efforts to make this a memorable stay.

The location was good, everything else was horrible. We had to pay 58.00 a day for parking because there is no where to park,which costed us 232.00 extra dollars we did not have, also there was an additional 46.00 daily service fee we were not aware of. We had to contact the front desk for plumbing issues, water was not draining in shower or sink. Also the dining room area was not clean, no one cleaned the floors or tables, crumbs left on floor and tables. It was a horrible experience, we will never book through Expedia again. I will be contacting customer service for a refund or filing a dispute through my credit card. Please respond thanks

I overall enjoyed our stay. The shower pressure was not good at all, way too low. The Steel Pan restaurant did not look clean so we left before ordering. The staff was very friendly and professional. This a super kid friendly hotel. Since we left ours homes this time, that wasn't ideal for us lol! The access to the beach was all worth it. Thank you Sonesta.

Perfect location, right across from the beach. The staff overall was good with the exception of check in and when we called for a later check out. They were a little rough around the edges. Our check lady out was very nice. Steve the bartender was great. Pizza spot in the corner was delicious. Overall the hotel is nice, clean, and at a great location. Would stay there again.

We really stayed for one night to go to the airshow, the location was perfect for our plan, right in front of the beach and walkable distance from restaurants. The staff was SUPER helpful and friendly, the facilities look nice and well maintained, the onsite restaurant was nice, my only complaint was the room we were assigned to. The view from the room was amazing, great beds but the bathroom itself and the floor at the entrance if the room felt a little filthy, the shower area had a weird “pipe” smell and looked a little moldy, and the entrance had some dirty marks like when you just roll over luggage. I am not sure what may have happened because the hotel itself looked and felt immaculate. I’m not sure if it was just our luck that day, maybe there was high demand so they had to rush rooms readiness but overall everything was great. If it helps our room was 1105 and we were a family of four.

I paid for a beach view room but it wasn’t even beach view I had a slight view of the beach. No staff was helpful, they were rude and made snarky comments. Target audience is white folk with money, if your anything else they won’t help or assist you.

My room was clean and I had a beach view which was magnificent. The location was perfect not too much traffic and within walking distance to several restaurants and shops.

Had to pay for valet parking- they did not help with luggage or anything else besides parking the car. Hotel was dated. Small room. Kids couldn’t use bathtub bc old/ dirty in appearance. Lots of extra fees I was unaware about. Also Expedia said $10/day to use. Hotel said it was only $10 period and it was a one time use at the sit down restaurant only.

Doesn't have all the amenities of fancier resorts and is on a bit of an island at the northern end of the beach, but it's a solid base of operations with a nice enough pool and a small little neighborhood around it.

We would stay here again. Close to good restaurants, across street from beach and place and employees were very nice.

Hotel is across the street from the beach, it is convenient. Pool is small, but seems cozy enough. One restaurant to eat at in the hotel, but expensive and not that great! We did eat there 1 time, but didnt plan on eating there every day. When we ordered food to go from an outside restaurant was reprimanded for sitting at a table outside near the pool, even tho no one else was using the tables at all. If we had gotten drinks from the bar would they have reprimanded us for sitting and eating. Maybe not, but who knows! One of the employees told us we would need to eat in the lobby! Kinda crazy. We r paying guests at the hotel and eating by the pool til time to leave for the airport. To me, this is not hospitable! This hotel was ok, it wasnt high class, usually had to call for towels and coffee cups to replenish the room. Three occupants and only had 2 towels each night and only coffee cups the first night. Im a little salty that we were reprimanded for the outside food. This unfortunately has clouded my view to stay here in the future!! You tend to remember how people made you feel!

One of our favorite parts was the easy access to the beach. Having beach chairs included as hotel guests made it so convenient to relax and fully enjoy the ocean. The views from our room were beautiful and really added to the whole experience. The breakfast brunch was outstanding and definitely a highlight of our stay. The only downside was that during the busy time, they seemed a bit understaffed. Our waitress was clearly stretched thin, but she handled everything with such a positive attitude, which we really appreciated. The pool area was phenomenal, clean, inviting, and a great place to unwind. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant and memorable experience. Overall, a great stay with just a small opportunity for improvement during peak dining hours. We would definitely recommend it.

We used to stay in this hotel for years but haven’t been there for few years. I have to say that we arrived super early & they still had us checked in so that was very helpful. The hotel in general is worn out a bit. Swimming pool was crowded on our first day there. Staff @ the swimming pool bar are super nice and food was good. We paid for breakfast when we booked our hotel stay and @ check out it was charged again, but the lady @ the check out counter apologized and fix the bill. I mainly have two complaints, first the bathroom from the next door room was very loud, we could hear the facet water, flush and shower very loudly in our room. Secondly on our last night, we came back around 10 Pm & the bathroom ceiling was leaking a bit but the kids were very tired and we didn’t want to call & have someone come in. We put a towel on the floor as it was dripping from one area and just a bit. Kids woke up at night to use the bathroom but the whole floor was water and ceiling is dripping from so many places. We had to put all the towels on the floor. My kids step in it and was not sure how clean is it? As soon as we woke up for breakfast, we went & told them. They didn’t apologize or anything but they said they will send someone to fix it while we are in breakfast. They did but we were surprised that they left the bathroom in a very disgusting way. More water on the floor, dirt falling off from the ceiling pieces that they took off to fix. Kids refused to use the bathroom.

The staff are incredible! So friendly and kind. I had an issue with my room they immediately moved me to a beautiful room. The staff in restaurant are so nice and make you feel very welcome. Plus the food is a very high standard. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Florida.

Sonesta was a pleasant place to visit. Our room was nice. The view of the house ocean is what it nice. I’m not into places that price goug you. Since I rented a car they charge you $58.00 plus tax per night you visit. I work in the he hospitality industry and I’m watching the demise of Las Vegas due to the greed. Also the lighting to enter the valet is so dark that I missed it twice and had to go around the block. Nice place to stay but use an Uber to get around.

We absolutely loved our stay! We arrived from our flight way early and the staff manager was overly accommodating and helped us feel right at home. We loved the location, further down the strip but it was so convenient. We used the pool and beach all day. The hotel restaurant and staff was amazing. Shout out to Steve the bartender. Lots of couples and families. Facility is beautiful with just minor repairs needed from wear. They even gave us a day pass for the final day as our flight out was super late. I can’t recommend them enough.

Our room barely had a beach view and it had a very large jacuzzi tub which easily could have fit another queen or king bed instead.

Pizza in walking distance and had a fantastic time at the Gardens just around the corner from the hotel.

Our stay was overall okay. The staff was friendly and provided good service, which we appreciated. However, we were a bit disappointed because there were private events scheduled on both days of our stay. During those times, we weren’t able to enjoy amenities like happy hour or the pool’s bar, which was a big part of why we chose this hotel. It was a decent experience, but we didn’t get to fully enjoy everything the hotel had to offer.

I was charged a daily fee of $45 that I was not made aware of when I booked through Orbitz. Nor was this fee mentioned when I checked in. The attendant at Sonesta told me it was through Orbitz and Orbitz is telling me it's the hotel's responsibility. This is apparently typical practice at hotels in Florida and they conveniently leave out this detail when checking into a hotel and Orbitz does not mention this when booking a trip.

The cost per day for the incidentals was a little high.

Housekeeping was just as bad. We constantly had issues with not having enough towels in the room, and the trash wasn’t taken out regularly. It felt like basic upkeep just wasn’t a priority here. For the price, you’d expect way better attention to cleanliness and service. Would not stay again.

I hardly ever give reviews, but this place was so bad I feel I must say something. Traveling for 25 years in 4 star hotels, service was horrible at front desk. Ask about a restaurant right around the corner, and lady said she has been there 10 years and never heard of it. It’s Ozzie’s and it was great. No room service, no one asked about our stay or greeted us or said thank you in checking out. Spend your hard earned dollars somewhere else like the Westin!

I recently stayed at Sonesta after my cruise and it was perfect. It was clean, beds were comfy. They even have a restaurant on site so we didn’t have to go anywhere and staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely be staying here again next time I’m in FLL.

A great staycation with my family. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, a few steps away from Bonnet House. Staff was incredibly cordial, a follow up phone call to make sure the room was up to par after check in was impressive. Beach chairs are very comfortable and staff at the beach is ready to accommodate your needs. Highly recommend this property for families. Our roo ocean view was beautiful and we even got to watch the sunrise from our beds since it was drizzling that morning. I will definitely stay at this property again!

Well my stay started off being a bit uneasy but in the end it was quite a pleasant stay! I thought the room was not ideal at first as I got a bit confused and mixed up with the sofa bed. The sofa bed do actually opens up nicely into a bed to sleep 2. The King bed was really soft and comfy. My mom had good nights rest. I had some hiccups with my bill but it was sorted out and the hotel took care of my other charges for the inconvenience. I was so surprised by this as I traveled all around and this was a first for me! Excellent team at this hotel as I realized they take pride and ensure their guests are comfortable and happy. At the hotel restaurant it also was the same as the staff were ensuring guests were comfortable. I would totally stay again and recommend others to stay!

Be aware of valet parking only and expensive, limited space in the front with only one handicap space for extra fee and cash only. Only 5 VIP spaces available in front the hotel. Extra cash fee only requested by the attendant. Parking in a lot in the back of the hotel.

Beach view was awesome! Room was beautiful with a couple of worthy coments. The bed I was in was so slanted-the mattress was bad so that really affected my sleep. I finally got to sleep sometime after 3 and an alarm went off at 6 (probably set by the previous renters). We complained to the staff about the mattress and they immediately moved us to another room and our second room had perfect beds. Please tell the staff that cleans, to check the alarm. That one night of lost sleep really affected the rest of my short vacation. I'm 70 and sleep is really important to me. I was so severely exhausted- it ruined my trip. Why do none of the rooms have a microwave. That should be in every room!

We loved our second stay at Sonesta Ft. Lauderdale Beach. The view was unobstructed, beautiful ocean view, staff is so attentive, friendly, great breakfast, lunch and dinner. I love their margaritas! Great weather. The Bar is amazing! So happy! We can’t wait to go back. :)

I received no response at all. The only positive employee encounter was with the dining room waiter during dinner service on our day of arrival. During check out the clerk inquired if I enjoyed my stay, and I responded, "marginal", She ignored my response and handed me my bill. As a very experienced traveler I can only wonder what I missed while making my reservation.

Arrived to the hotel pretty early after getting off a cruise. Was told that they would rush a room and give us a call to check-in early. Never got a call and checked in at 4pm. Then, was unable to use the food and beverage credit for being an Expedia gold member because the staff member wasn’t sure how to process that. She said she would check into it but it’s now almost a week later and I haven’t heard anything. Very nice hotel, solid amenities, great location, nice staff.

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because it’s starting to feel a little outdated. I also wish the pool was in a different location - it felt a little closed in. Other than that, no complaints.

Cleaning staff,

The room was fine but the bathroom needed some updating. The first room we were given smelled so badly that we could not even walk in to it. Fortunately another room was available but on a lower and we were relocated.

The beach was across the street and it was a very nice hotel. It is a pet friendly property which was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Also, there is shower head on the selling in the shower that creates some difficulty to avoid wetting hair every time we showered.

The problem is if you sit at the bar for happy hour or watch a sports game, water from the vents will drip on your head. Ask the bartender why your getting wet, and he will tell you that very common been going on for along time. We just deceided that we needed to go somewhere else. This is one of those things that can be fix, but they wont.

A business hotel at a beach location lacking normal beach/family hotel amenities if that's the reason for your stay. Missing was ample free bottled water (normally available daily in the room refrigerator) and swim suit hang drying options. Kinda tacky offering $8 bottles of Evian water in the room. On carefully checking the bill (which you must absolutely do here) we found unauthorized additional tip amounts beyond the required 20% gratuity on restaurant charges.

The staff was great. The location was ideal. The room was clean and the pool was also a very relaxing experience. The one dowside was the air condition. It was either too cold or a bit warm at times. It was hard to control the temperature.

Very disappointing stay. We had to call the front desk for basic things like napkins and room cleaning. The AC was noisy for two days, then started leaking and soaked my kids’ shoes and some clothes. The front desk refused to change our room and never apologized. When they finally fixed the AC, the room became freezing cold. This ruined our holiday. Room 512. I will never stay here again.

Freezing! Room 61° even though I set the thermostat for 78! Freezing! Had to run a shower just to be able to use the bathroom. Pleaded for a different room finally they gave me another room at 11 PM that was 63°

The hotel and the rooms were generally good. However, our rooms were not cleaned everyday during our five days stay and we had to call multiple times to get room service (and sometimes they still forgot). The ice maker next to the junior suite can be loud and annoying. The adjacent area and the beach were gorgeous though the hotel itself was not closest to the busiest area (but walkable). However, the beach chairs did not come with umbrellas (an extra $30 per day).

Room was nice. It was stated as beachfront but you had to cross the road to get to the beach. Had to argue charges, but they did correct them.

Staff wasn't courteous, location is nice, walking distance to state park and restaurants. Not the serivice you would expect from this proce point. Room had only ac on off option, no ventilation. You have chose between cold or less oxygen.

Hotel staff were accommodating, check-in was easy, and the location is perfect. The hotel room's furniture needs to be cleaned and updated. The 'resort fee' for an evening check-in is a bit disappointing.

[1] In the restaurant we were left waiting for 20 minutes to be seated, a frustrating start to our evening.Eventually we left as there was no response & no one cared. [2] A "credit" of $25, which was touted as a benefit, proved to be entirely useless, offering no tangible value during our stay. The room itself was far from satisfactory. The restroom was unacceptably small and, to our dismay, not clean.[3] The bed provided was inadequate in size, leading to an uncomfortable night's sleep.[4] The only redeeming quality of our stay was the pleasant view from our room, which offered a brief respite from the numerous issues we encountered.Had to call multiple times to request sheets/comforter/Towels which always arrived late. PARKING CHARGERS are extremely high & while booking through Expedia I was informed I will be charged $104 for Resort fee or something but I paid close to $250 for 2 days stay on top of the room rent of $412 [5] We deeply regret booking this hotel

Hotel was food was served barely warm from restaurant. Over all nice place . I would stay again.

The fees so many hidden fees people ... and valet parking 58 dollars/ day and on top you have to pay 46 a day for dailey fee ... and tax tourist tax and I am not a tourist , local tax , state tax for each day .

Front Desk personnel are incredibly helpful.

Although, I don't think the $46 "resort" fee is justified. There is a small outdoor pool, a workout center, and the restaurant will cost you more than the places literally right next door. If you drive a car there, you must pay valet to park it for you (not cheap either). Its just a nice hotel across the street from the beach.

The staff was very helpful. The lobby was beautiful. I liked the extra security required to use the elevator and pool area.

We had an room with a door connected to another room and the room next to us was occupied and all I can hear were the people in the room coughing all night and it woke us up several times. The hotel location was nice and everything else was nice but the main reason you pay for a hotel is to sleep and staying here made that difficult.

We love Sonesta. The bed was fabulous. The bathroom, needs some TLC. Toilet ran and the shower needs some spring cleaning for better pressure: they need to get rid of the window in the bathroom, that wakes up your partner if you turn the light on I the middle of the night. Other than, great as usual!

We have stayed here twice now and both times we had a great experience, the stays were approximately a year apart. This past stay we were at the hotel around 10am as we had just come off a cruise and they were able to get us a room. They were helpful in storing my husbands fishing pole and tackle as well while we were on the cruise as we didn’t realize it was prohibited and he had brought it to do some fishing prior to going on the cruise. The beach was great, we have 2 kids (4&6). Publix wasn’t a far walk as we didn’t have a rental car this stay. We look forward to staying here again next time we’re in the area.

Hotel cleanliness and staff are the best.

Lovely hotel .. let down by poor staff and expensive parking ! ($58 a day!). Blocked sink. No towels. Resort fees. Umbrella on beach is +$30. Topped off with choppedonion in the fruit breakfast and a cappuccino with no actual coffee in it! They need to get the basics right .. cut the price to park as the location is great.

The room was great our stay was great. The staff was fantastic. My only gripe is the water was discolored in our shower and the hot cold plate was incorrect.

Good location for fort lauderdale

We have a great view of the beach. My daughter's and I walked firectly to the beach. Valet parking is little pricey, its about 60 per night. And thats the only way you can park your car on the property. Overall, it is beautiful hotel and it smelled so lovely. We enjoyed our stay.

This was our first time staying at this hotel and we loved it. We had a view to the beach that was breathtaking in the morning at sunrise. Normally we don’t do staycations, but we will definitely stay at this Sonesta the next time we do one again.

It was off season but there is not much to do around there besides the beach. Dining was limited and car dependent. Steel Pan drinks were pricey and not very strong. Staff were nice. $50 early check in for an empty hotel seemed excessive.

Clean room. Staff was way more accommodating than they needed to be. Five star, resort feel with a hotel price. Right across from the beach, electric bicycles to rent, outdoor heated pool and poolside bar. Beautiful hotel.

Even Las Vegas has recognized this problem and has begun cutting back. At the very least, Florida residents should have some kind of exemption, or property owners shouldn’t be charged the same way when we’re simply taking a vacation in our own state. These excessive taxes are pushing things past the limit, and it will make me think twice before booking again.

I would only recommend adding smart tvs in the rooms. Its best for late night tv watching before bed. Otherwise, my view was the BEST!

We stayed here for a night, the front desk lady was really nice. The hotel was run down and not very clean. Resort fee cancel outs the 25 dollar room credit. The pool was not clean. Also, there was a dog on our floor that was left in the room without the owner. It barked loud for an hour until I called the front desk. The hotel reached out to the owner and after about 30 minutes it was resolved. This was at night time so it was very inconvenient. Only good thing is the location. If I book here next time, I would ask to be on the floor without pets.

The Sonesta Hotel is a nice property, but I do feel this overrated in really expensive for what it offers. I’ve stayed at many other hotels that are much nicer and less than the amount of money that we spent on this trip. The cost of parking is ridiculous. With the amount that I paid for extra amenities in valet parking, I could’ve stayed three more days at another local hotel.

This is a great property located in a nice part of Fort Lauderdale. It is a bit removed from the heart of Fort Lauderdale, but that makes it a bit quieter, and still just a couple minutes walk from the beach, restaurants, and shops.

The surprise charges for Valet $58/day, Resort Fee $47/day. The rooms are O.K. at best. Menu Prices for food at the restaurant are way out of line. The only positive is the location.

I was charged a $500 deposit upon arrival which I was not made aware of in the fine print. My room was connected to two adjoining rooms with other guests (traveling alone this felt very unsafe).There is a $46 daily charge for free water bottles, towels and a beach chair (umbrella paid separately for $36 daily) and the maid does not come every day, so you won't get your fresh towels or water bottles some days. The $25 dining credit was useless since I had to sit and wait for over 10 minutes, in which the servers chose to take orders from anyone else but me. When I tried to ask the front desk about the service, they were rude and didn't let me speak until I asked to speak to a hotel manager (decided to be nice after that). Not worth what I paid for, worst birthday trip I could have planned.

It was ok. Staff is great but hotel is a bit tired. Hallways were dark and rooms were meh. Was there for one night and restaurants nearby that were within walking distance felt like they were trying to cling to spring break in the 80s. Pool is very small. No parking so they gouge you for nearly $60 a night which is criminal. Then as I’m leaving I see public parking behind the hotel. $50ish resort fee. Wish I knew this up front I would have gone somewhere else. Gentlemen at hotel bar was very friendly and I did enjoy the kale Cesar salad with shrimp.

Front desk attendant saw me waiting but asked other ppl if they needed help before me, and they weren’t even waiting in line. Then she asked if I needed help AFTER they said no. Gave me a 2nd floor room with a crummy view even though I was an Expedia platinum. I had to ask about the credit. She didn’t just tell me. Felt a little discriminated against, not sure why. I came down later and asked a gentleman for a late checkout tomorrow which he was really nice and said he would try. But gave me a 12:00 complimentary. He was really nice and personable.

A wonderful experience, family friendly, with a welcoming and professional staff. The lobby is modern and the tone is relaxing. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Location is ideal, right across the beach and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. I appreciated the on-site restaurant and bar. We’ll definitely be returning on our next trip.

Stayed here one night prior to departing for a cruise. The staff was extremely helpful & available. The location is fantastic, just across the street from the beach. There are several shops & restaurants within walking distance. My kids also enjoyed the pool area.

Seemed nice. Could see the water from the room. We checked in late and the area seemed sketchy. We felt like we needed to use valet since we didn't see another parking option and were afraid of where was safe to park. The valet attendant was not wearing a name tag and was trying to take our keys without giving us a ticket. The TV was broke so they credited the service fee.

This was my first time staying at a Sonesta property. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff welcomed us with warm smiles. The pool area is a true gem, surrounded by palm trees and lounge chairs, making it perfect for relaxation. Special shout out to Andy and Cory, the bartenders at Steelpan, the onsite restaurant. They were entertaining and engaging. Our favorite drink there was the Bramble Daiquiri. The room itself was clean and had everything needed for a relaxing stay, including in-room refrigerator and coffee maker. The view of the ocean from the room was perfect. Nearby there are several restaurants, including a pizza place and a Mexican restaurant. Public transportation is excellent in the area. We definitely will make the Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach our first choice every time we are in the area!

The young woman that checked us in was wonderful. I went down later to ask about robes and the woman had absolutely no interest in helping. The hallways are way too dark. The valet parking was $58, which is the highest we've ever seen. Beach was right across the street and the water was so clear we could see fish.

Clean hotel in a great location right across from the beach, next to a lot of dining options, and Hugh Taylor Birch SP. We will stay here again in the future if we come back to Ft. Laud.!

Other then the hair on the bathroom floor that did not belong to us and the false fire alarm at 11:30 at night the breakfast buffet was great and the staff was great.

While my ocean view room was nice and housekeepers kept my room refreshing every day of my stay. Staff service was disappointing, not pleasant and welcoming. Some of the Restaurants servers gave poor service rushing you from the tables.

Property and rooms were wll maintained and clean. Staff was amazing and friendly, more than accommodating with absolutely anything within reason. There's no reason for me to stay anywhere else while in the FT Lauderdale area

Very nice place

The location is amazing! Quiet at night but still close to everything. The rooms are very nice and clean. Every staff member was more than just pleasant. Overall, we had an amazing stay and are already talking about going back!

On the positive side, we were given a complimentary upgrade to an ocean-view room, which was beautiful and much appreciated. That said, at check-in, we were told the room would cost nearly double the price we saw online and were instructed to leave, book through Expedia, and return 15 minutes later. Hotel staff should be able to match online prices when guests show up in person. We specifically chose this hotel to book on arrival and were forced into an unnecessary and frustrating external booking process. Do better.

We went to the beach and had a nice time. The room was very spacious and over looking the beach. The bed was very comfortable. We would stay there in the future.

The staff were friendly. The hotel location was great, right across from the beach and walking distance to a lot of restaurants. The room was clean and had a great view of the beach. The only downside was you can hear EVERY SINGLE NOISE when inside the room. I could hear the live music at the bar, every noise from the hall, and I could hear the TV and every word said in the rooms next to me. I had ear plugs but without them I wouldn’t have been able to sleep.

This is our 3rd time at the Sonesta in Fort Lauderdale. Never disappoints. Great hotel. Updated and clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. They would recommend this hotel to all.

Beautiful view from the Ocean Curve room. The double beds in our room were very small. It would be nice if they were upgraded to Queen sized beds. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Stay was great! Hotel is a little dated but it was super clean! Would highly recommend. Convenient to a lot of places and 10 minutes from Lauderdale by the sea a nice vibrant area.

They charge a ridiculous $46 resort fee. Then added $30 to use an umbrella. Plus booked through Expedia and did not include all the hidden taxes which were added on to what I prepaid...total misrepresentation of total bill. Taxes were over $100 extra.

The property had great access to the beach right across the street. It was at the end of the the strip so that was actually nice. Lots of food option close by. Very walkable just not too clean would be my only complaint.

The hotel was nice and clean. The beach was within walking distance and the two free chair rentals was a bonus. Staff were friendly. I would stay here again.

This place is a piece of crap, small room, no microwave, you can’t talk in your room without security arriving in two seconds saying this is a very quiet place mostly for flight attendants, seems more like a nursing home, dark creepy hallways, no balconies, feels like you are in a cage, not relaxing, not fun, very stuffy, and not the place to come have fun and relax

We did not like this property. The lighting and the overall look of the hotel was drab and dingy. The bathroom was a wheelchair accessible room and the bathroom was very dated. The two beds barely fit us - very very small. There were loud housekeeping doors and elevators banging all night long. Overall we will never stay here again and will definitely never recommend to anyone. For the amount we paid this was little more than a motel.

Easy access to the beach, clean, friendly staff

We enjoyed our time at Sonesta. The room could have been cleaned earlier. We had to ask the front desk at 6pm if they were going to clean the room. Parking is $55/day plus tax. Guess I didn’t read that anywhere. And the pool was at least 95 degrees. They need to drain some and fill with cold water. The bar area is nice and the bartender Steve was great. They had many chairs and seating at the pool. Very pricey place.

As you enter the hotel, there are two potted dead shrubs at the entrance, which every occupant employee and management team member walks past. Customer Service at the hotel counter greeting style lacked any sense of customer service whatsoever. The first day in residence, we required hotel engineering staff to come up and tend to a poorly operating toilet two times. Daily room service lacked the same customer service. One day we had come back to the room after breakfasting and nothing had been done by 12:30. We alerted the front desk returned and at 3 PM. The room still had not been cleaned. We were four days in residence. Another day out of the four we declined housekeeping at all due to the prior days experience. Management team that runs the front of the house oceanfront restaurant should be spoken to. The first morning at 10:30 on a Saturday, the first thing noticed was that the first several tables had not been cleaned. All of the prior guests food and plates had remained on the table. As we walked further into the restaurant, heading towards the ocean front seating, we passed a total of 11 tables that were in the same condition.When we were finally greeted by a member of the staff for seating, she asked us where we would like to sit. We expressed our concern that so many that could’ve been ready for seating were dirty. She proceeded to argue that we’re only 2 staff on and that she was the Supervisor. Do not waste you money at this Sonesta. Pool area minuscule. Much more
