THIS HOTEL IS EXCEPTIONAL WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY WILL ACCOMODATE ALMOST ANYTHING YOU REQUEST LOVE THIS PLACE

The property was very clean and centrally located right on Las Olas Blvd. The staff was very friendly & accommodating. The hotel bars do close on the earlier side, around 10pm, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants open later across the street. Overall, the hotel was very nice and conveniently located in the heart of Las Olas Blvd.

Fabulous hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool. We enjoyed happy hour with snacks. Lovely clean spacious rooms.

I’ve stayed at the property many times, but I was in a room and the old section that was less than normal quality smelled like oil and mole. I will go back again, but I’ll try not to get in the old section.

Excellent location, busy area and great for entertainment. My room was much better and bigger this time than my last stay here. I had a lot of trouble with the keys but it got sorted out after a couple of tries. I would stay here again.

My husband and I traveled from the Bahamas for a weekend getaway and this hotel was amazing. Elizabeth and Kiana t the front desk were so welcoming. Pleasant attitude and friendly hospitality. The room was amazing awesome view. The restaurants were legit walking distance. We are definitely definitely coming back. Hands down the best hotel we’ve stayed in, in fort laduderdale.

From the minute I walked in I was warmly welcomed by the entire team, with a very special welcome from the front desk manager who proceeded to give me 2 free drink coupons which I used! Having one of the elevators out was a bit challenging, however, the signage was helpful in knowing about it ahead of time.

Larger than it looks the old part of the hotel is quite nice with easy access to las olas shops and restaurants and also the river front. Also even though we had a low floor room we didn't get bothered by the noise from last olas. You can see the age in some parts, but it was clean and had a comfortable bed so not really too much to complain about. Couldn't really get the AC adjusted to our liking. Too cold (indicated 68) when we arrived, it was like an ice box. Over a period of a day or so we turned up the temperature but despite saying 80 on the remote it still felt cold. In the end we had to turn it off

Staff could not help I checked in at 7 pm , tired, had to leave hotel after 8 hours to catch a flight. It was so noisy, loud music, the manager did not even informed me that it will be loud , noisy . The worst hotel in my experience.

Gosh the staff here were so kind and attentive. Happy hour was amazing, the pool area was very nice and stocked with towels and water for guests. The room was beautiful. Would definitely come back.

Second stay at Riverside Hotel. Initial stay was in the tower and it was enjoyable. We needed two beds this time and was assigned to the first floor. The room was very noisy. Surprisingly, the noise was unbearable based on the neighboring rooms and not from the outside. I would avoid the lower floors on any future visits. The bartender at the bar near Los Olas was very friendly and the staff was very helpful.

Riverside Hotel was phenomenal experience loved everything inside the hotel and its surrounding. I highly recommended you stay and experience a great vacation. I loved it so much that I’m going again with the kids next month when they get out of school….

Been staying at this hotel a few yeats and it just gets better every time they upgraded the rooms the place is very clean and the staff very accommodating the manger was outstanding very personal and also went out off his way to make the staff a very nice experience would highly recommend this hotel

What was remarkable was the staff and especially the manager, Quinto took care of minor problems immediately! He and his staff are gracious, knowledgable and professional. The hotel is very well located and walking locally is a pleasure. This is Fort Lauderdale at its best!

The room was very small. The bed very hard. The staff didn’t even tell us where the ice machine was. The amenities were across the street and closed early. I expected more from a 4 star hotel. You’re paying for the location.

There were a couple weddings going on and only one elevator was working so a little bit of an inconvenience with all the people. But the hotel itself was excellent and staff was great.

Riverside folks have earned our loyalty

The hotel has a great location along the river walkway and offers a variety of food and beverage options. You will feel safe on the property. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Because the facility is older, I am sure the housekeeping staff has a more difficult time trying to have it look as shiny and polished as a newer property, especially the bathroom floor tiles.

He was very clean very nice and then the area. It’s very good to stay quiet I don’t have anything to say bad about the place. Hopefully, I’ll come back again next month.

The Riverside was a wonderful place to stay in Fort Lauderdale. The location was right on the Riverwalk. There were numerous restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. The room was clean with great views. Highly recommend.

Staff were friendly and efficient especially bell hops and cleaning staff. Front desk were friendly but did not explain hotel policy on self parking and later check out. It was not explained before hand that there was a charge for extending checkout for an hour. Also extra day of parking charge.

Rooms were very clean (I am very particular with cleanliness). Staff was amazing and the little details were amazing. Dede took care of us and made my husband’s birthday special. The prices at the sister restaurants was also fair I think especially for the area which I loved. We came for a staycation and will definitely return!

Hotel is in the hart of Las Olas, beacon of the Ft Lauderdale, walk able distance everywhere.. Antique but elegant building, so many events going on.. pet friendly, they had K9 and drink event, with live piano music. Restaurants, bars and pools. Located right by river cruses. Staff were very friendly, we have arrived 4 hours early and we did not expected to be checked in for 4 hours. Turns out they found the room ready for us on the spot. Bars have a happy hour from 3-7 for drinks, and 5-7 for food. One side of the hotel entrance is directly on Las Olas , with a patio bar. The other side is on river docks, large boat house restaurant with swimming pool and all the amenities. This place is a jewel of Ft Lauderdale.

When we're in South Florida we always stay at Riverside. Old school hotel right in the heart of Las Olas. Great restaurants including The Boathouse right on the river with the pool, all we need! Perfect location. Great friendly staff.

One of the finest hotels in South Florida. Definitely the nicest in Fort Lauderdale – others may be newer, but the riverside is timeless elegance. I love it beyond words.

Breakfast was a bit chaotic, but there is a system that works if you are patient. Food is freshly cooked to order and is really tasty

Clean room, bathroom a bit on the small side. Water in the shower/ bath was not clear and the pressure was aggressive. I liked the pressure but the output was a lot. A better shower head would fix this Didn’t seem to be rust from pipes that caused the unclear water, but nontheless was able to shower fine. The other negative was the sensor light behind the tv. While the concept was nice, it was quite annoying to have to keep moving towards it for light. Especially when there wasn’t a lot of lighting in the room overall. This wound be a nice feature if it wasn’t the main light source. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will return.

Beautiful boutiquey hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale, close to Riverwalk and Las Olas shopping and restaurant. 30 minutes to airport. Walkable area. Resort fee, taxes as well as parking hike up the price though. No free parking. Leaving at 5am, the front desk gentleman was nice enough to walk me to my car in the garage. Would stay again.

Recently updated and close to everything. The on site restaurants were very good. No room service but, lots close. Room was very clean. Bed was the only discomfort. Seemed more like a futon mattress than a real mattress.

The room was small, but adequate. The AC works fine.

The property was updated. It looked very nice. When paying that much for a hotel I do not expect to sleep in a brick. The hotels pics online show a beautifully remodeled hotel, but they forgot to finish. The mattress was absolutely horrible, my husband and I did not sleep at all through the night because it literally was like sleeping on a board. If u are looking for a good nights sleep please think twice. Also there was a generator right outside of our window that ran all night long and was very loud. Not the stay I want at the end of my vacation when I need to sleep good to get up and catch a flight very early in the morning.

Pool is across the street. Ubers had difficulty finding us as there are multiple pickup spots and no definitive pickup area when you put in the address.

The breakfast was great and affordable. The location was also great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The lighting in the room is terrible! There was no place to put on makeup because it was so dark. The bathroom doesn’t have any counter space so I couldn’t do it in the bathroom. There is also no place to hang more than one towel. When you move in the room during the night, lights come on around the floor. It’s disruptive to others who are sleeping.

Date hotel with new hotel prices. We stayed for an event and the door to the room you can hear everything in the hallway. 1 elevator working and just felt very OLD and not worth the price we payed. We had food at the boathouse which was no better than chilis all the food was tasted prepackaged and not fresh at all. I would not stay here again as there are too many new hotels that would’ve been better for the price we paid.

I was not a fan of the yellow water in our sink and toilet. We brushed our teeth with the bottled water provided and skipped washing our faces and showering because it was soooo gross. Fortunately we were hopping on a cruise the next day but it would have been an awful experience if we spent more days at the hotel.

Great location but didn’t feel price for room was worth it. For price would have expected better more up to date room.

Looking at the hotels old picture in the lobby you can appreciate the renovation to it whenever this was done.

Great location! Lots of nice amenities. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. First room we received had a horrible mattress that sunk down when sat on and windows that were permanently covered. Staff accommodated by finding us another room with a much better mattress and great view into the courtyard.

Great location, near the River Walk with many excellent restaurants nearby on Las Olas. Staff were friendly and courteous. The room was spacious and well appointed. The only downside was one of the two elevators was down for maintenance during our stay which resulted in wasted time waiting for an elevator.

Clean rooms, easy check in, great location.

This is our go-to hotel before a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale because we enjoy the atmosphere, the value of the lower rates as compared to the major hotel chains on the beach, and the proximity to everything available on Las Olas. The hotel offers several venues to eat and drink. One restaurant is right on Las Olas, but my favorite spot is the Boathouse bar and restaurant set right on the New River. So while you are relaxing and enjoying a drink or a meal here, you can sit back and watch all the boats and yachts drift by - its just wonderful, especially during the winter months if you are visiting from the cold and snowy Northeast like we were. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and spacious and the public spaces comfortable and upscale, with that old-world charm. We will be staying at the Riverside again.

The 2 check in receptionist Elizabeth and Zes were so nice after a hectic travel day and were very helpful Our room was on the first floor 127 next to elevator and just inside valet area and a little noisy, otherwise the room, accommodations, restaurants within the hotel and great access to all things (bars/restaurants) around the hotel.

Riverside is the perfect location for an overnight stay before boarding a cruise ship. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Las Olas Boulevard offers a variety of restaurants. The Riverwalk is right across the street.The shuttle service provides a seamless arrival at Port Everglades. The Riverside Hotel is a short taxi ride from the airport. We've stayed there for our past 2 cruise vacations and plan to stay there again.

Staff was very courteous. Hotel room (in the tower on the 9th floor) had a gorgeous view which we really enjoyed. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, and the water taxi. No need for a rental car.

Overall the room was very nice as was the staff. The only issue was the refrig in the room would not close because it needed to be defrosted due to ice build up.

The room was clean. Very cramped room also the room was cold and I couldn't get the furnace to shut down and just heat up the room. We both froze all night. I tried several times to adjust the furnace and it would not heat.

Room was in horrible condition. I “thought” if I paid over 500.00 for 1 night it would be a very nice room. My BFF was in town and we took the train to Ft. Lauderdale from Orlando just for fun and relaxation! After I complained about our room; I was told the other tower was renovated and much better, but, they were full. The walls were dirty, paint chipping off, bath tub chipping, corners dirty and so on……coffee pot broken!!! Water seeped out underneath it snd went all over the table. So disappointed. I’m not sure what I paid 500.00 + for. To add insult to injury; no one cared that would speak with at the hotel, no one! Never again.

The room was clean and the staff were excellent!

Air conditioning was good, room was fine, we asked at the front desk for 2 bottles of water and never received them. The elevator was out of order for a few hours and we had fire alarms go off at 5:30 am and again at 6 am our first night Thursday technically Friday morning. Which really disrupted our sleep- we never heard why it happened.

The entire experience was first class. The staff was amazing. The pool was refreshing, not to mention the great River view. Definitely will stay there again.

The location is great. The staff are efficient and friendly. The lobby is fabulous on a cooler day due to both fireplaces being on. The room is nice. The only complaint is the bathroom is small. There is no vanity space to put your toiletries. Otherwise, all is good.

We were given a room that was very noisy and the windows were all blocked like a prison. There was a big equipment outside the room that made loud noises. The room was also small not what we booked. After we requested again they gave us a better room. They should not have sold us the first room to begin with.

A/C worked great. Food was fresh. My only complaint was the elevators were down for a long time. Fortunately we were capable of walking 9 floors. The front desk did give us food

My only complaint is that my room was ready and the hotel was not full and they charged me $50 for early check in. I paid almost $300 for a very small room. I don’t feel there should have been an early check in fee

The location was excellent, being centrally located in Las Olas Blvd. The staff was great, especially the valet attendant, Tenious who was very friendly and generous with restaurant recommendations. The room was a corner king with city view and had a great view of the New River. The room was clean and adequately supplied, but bed was way too hard on a platform surface and no soft covering to blunt the hardness.

Only issue I would give is although we paid over $2000 reception would not give us more time at the pool which I thought was a bit mean especially since this is our third year in a row at this time of year

This was an amazing, relaxing and will come back stay. We checked in and were pleasantly surprised at the hotel layout. The rooms were clean and modern without voiding the history of this location. I would have like to hear about the amenities during check in because we learned of the pool and gym during our check out with Valet. A definite come back staycation location for us in the future.

Room was very small, Air Conditioner blew on your face all night, No drawers for belongings, Small fridge on the floor that you had to sit on the floor to use. We have stayed here before, but this time we were very disappointed

I was expecting more? We were only there for one night. All the vinyl tiles in our room were lifting honestly a tripping hazard. The restaurant we wanted to go to was closed reason not really given. No water in the room except a $7 bottle no coffee in the morning in the lobby. No Kleenex in the room. I sometimes wonder when I use Expedia if I get the leftover room. For $300 it was not worth the money. I love historical hotels but staff not friendly and it was blah.

Beautiful room and view of the riverwalk! The location right on Las Olas was great for shopping and eating out too. The lobby is large with ample seating and 2 fireplaces.

This hotel is overpriced, terrible service and filthy. Couldn’t be more disappointed. I waited hours for the room to be cleaned for me to check in and find it dirty, hair and trash all over the floors, the refrigerator drawer broken and leaking all over the floor, the renovation was done poorly. Too many negatives… won’t be back…

Overall bedrooms were very clean. We had to switch rooms multiple times due to non working toilets and air conditioning, but once we moved rooms it was better. Service was slow but the drinks and food tasted great. Breakfast could have had more options but dinners had a big assortment. The bacon grilled cheese, chicken tenders, turkey BLT and skinny margaritas were our favorite.

The room was fantastic and all of the staff was superb.

Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. It was located next to the elevator and a staff storage/service room. The elevator is quite old, and every time the doors opened or closed, it made a loud, high-pitched noise. Additionally, staff conversations near the room were clearly audible, which made it difficult to relax. Overall, the hotel is good and the location is excellent. However, I strongly recommend that management consider removing this particular room from service or improving its soundproofing, as guests staying there are unlikely to have a good experience.

Room was very clean, only 2 problems, one fridge froze and water pooled on the floor, main light in bathroom was out. When we complained in the am a worker came up but we checked out before things were fixed. Would stay again.

If you are not in the tower but are placed in the 'classic' rooms, they are small and very utilitarian considering their high prices. The restaurants are excellent as is the location which is why we stay here.

Room was clean, spacious and very quiet. Perfect location directly on Las Olas. Housekeeping and front desk were very friendly. Room was ready at 2 pm when we arrived. The bartender and staff at the Boathouse were also great! Sat at the bar and watched the yachts and boats pass by.

Everything was great. Housekeeper brought me extra pillows. The property was nice with beautiful Christmas decorations. It was a very enjoyable stay!

We got there at a little before 6 PM, we were retired. We flew all day, we’re older and we just wanted to get into our room and relax. I asked where I could get some water, the young lady at the desk that checked us in, told me I could walk to the gym and go to the water fountain. I said I’m looking for a bottle of water, I asked her where their Gift Shop was. She said oh it’s closed and that was 10 to 6 in the evening, I asked where can I get some bottled water and she told me I had to go out of the hotel down the block to the donut shop to buy water. I was so upset it is not a cheap hotel and then after I went and bought water, I came back and shared my feelings with the evening manager and come to find out. They have water in the room, but it is seven dollars for a small bottle of water. When they brought our luggage to the run, I asked if we could please have a couple of extra luggage racks, and we never got them like never. They’re trying to be a luxury hotel and they are very far from it. Why when you’re paying almost $400 a night for a room, would you have to pay seven dollars for a small bottle of water, that’s ridiculous. We were there for two nights and when we checked out this morning, the desk clerk asked me what our state was and I told him and he said they hear that complaint all the time and have talked to management so management said that they would have to charge a resort fee in order not to charge for water. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

It was a older hotel in decent shape that is right in the center of everything that you wanna be at in Fort Lauderdale

Again we stayed in the older area - room was spotless but not big - bathroom is very small with no counter space so you could stay in the newer tower. However, the hotel offers fantastic food in an unbelievable restaurant- get the seafood chowder, baked oysters & salmon patee 😁😁😁❤️

Love the renovated rooms. I used to frequently stay at Riverside before we bought a condo on Las Olas 2 years ago, but just sold as we moved out of state. I was back for closing, and it was so good to see my old friends in valet (Kevin) and at Lion's Bar (Will), who both remembered and welcomed me back. I will definitely stay at Riverside in the future whenever we visit Las Olas.

We like the excellent location of this hotel, esp. if you have no car. We arrived by Brightline, whose station is a very short taxi ride. The hotel is in the middle of everything you want in walking distance. The bus to the beach and the water taxis are at the door. Need something at the drug store or the supermarket?-a few blocks walk. The lovely Riverwalk is right there. Blocks of restaurants and shops on Olas Avenue are outside the hotel and also several are connected to the hotel. We loved the heated saltwater pool and its location on the river. The room was well designed, comfortable and quiet, if just a little tight. The only reason we give 4 stars is that our room had no view and 2/3 of the windows had a transluscent film on them. Be sure to ask for a room with a view ahead of time if you care about that.

There is absolutely nothing I can say that needs attention. The room was spotless, completely quiet, staff attentive, nearby restaurant & cafe both were excellent, and the recommendations provided by staff were spot-on. Great place to stay. Oh, and I almost forgot for cruise passengers - they provide a very reasonably priced shuttle to the cruise terminal. If we're ever in FLL again, this is where we'll stay!

Nice room, old property, but still beautiful!

My husband and I stayed for two nights prior to going on a cruise. We stayed in “micro room” so I expected it to be small and it was. It was also very loud with hall lights shining under the door. It was next to an elevator and cleaning closet. We stuffed a towel at the bottom of the door to try and block out some light at night and muffle sound. Bathroom needs an update or at least a really good scrubbing. Bed was extra firm with pillows that had lived their lives and needed to be replaced. I definitely expected better for the price.Boathouse Bar is nice but service is beyond slow if you are sitting down for a meal. In summary you are paying for the location and not a luxury room or great service. Would not stay there again.

The most uncomfortable bed and pillows I've ever experienced. I've slept on more comfortable mattresses while stationed at a FOB in Iraq! Valet wouldn't park my stock GMC 2500 because it was "too big". Nice hotel but we will never stay here again.

Great location room was less than desirable. As we walked in the windows were tinted so you could not see out the window and unless you stepped on your toes, the top you could see out of. The bathroom was tiny. But the great location made up for the lack of amenities in the room.

We were placed in room 1202 w/ a rap around balcony, huge bathroom, 2 queen beds in separate room & living room w/ another tv. They let us stow are luggage & hang out at the nice pool for a late flight at check out. Ate at the hotel restaurant twice as the food & drinks were good & not overpriced.

Room was very small and old. It was mentioned as remodeled, maybe some of the furnishings were new, but the bathroom definitely needed to be refurbished, from floors, shower, toilet seat, and seat leaked. Room could have been cleaner. The restaurants at the hotel were very good.

I was disappointed to be charged 50.00 for checking one hour early. Last year they checked me in before 10 am and charged me nothing. I would also like better lighting in the rooms.

2. Reception staff were OK, not the friendliest. 3. There was an issue with the room key lock. Had to get the keys reprogrammed 3 times. 4. Room had been upgraded but the bathrooms renovations were poor.

The valet took our bags and said he would be with us all the way to the room. Hee was not. Someone else delivered our bags. When we were at the check in we were being pressured to upgrade our room. We didn’t. The room was small for 3 adults but we stayed because we were exhausted from traveling. We found things on the floor that didn’t belong to us. The floor was gritty. Paint was pealing from the ceiling, there was soap scum in the tub. The next day we inquired at the front desk and produced the original reservation. We were originally put in an inferior room. We got moved to the bigger room that we booked and upgraded with a balcony. On the last night of our stay the refrigerator started leaking water and it was from nothing inside. We were given the valet parking and $50 credit for our inconvenience. This is certainly not the experience we had expected from the Riverside Hotel.

Beautiful property. Very convenient and walkable. I lived in the neighborhood for many years and chose to stay here during a recent trip back to Ft Lauderdale. Always something to do in the area. Funky Fish Shuttles made it very easy to get around.

The worst experience was when the fire alarm went off one morning, it started, then stopped, then it went off again, this happened on a few occasions, we asked house keepers if it was a test, they just replied “it’s usually a false alarm”, a muffled voice came across the speaker system, we think it stated the fire service had been called, so with this we decided to air on the safe side and went down the exit staircase, however it only went down two flights onto a terrace, and then we were faced with locked doors, 3 of them from memory, this was a complete shambles, thankfully it turned out to be a false alarm. The property was nice, the staff were friendly, (special mention to William in the bar), and the location was great, it just let itself down. Had it not been for the fire escape element, I would have stayed there again, but this was too much of a serious fail.

Room temperature was humid!!

The problem was there were these tiny bugs all over the surface where the coffee maker was. I also had a few on my I pad I told the front desk, and all they did was extend my check out time. I was quite disappointed that there was no reduction to the cost of the room.

The front desk staff was very kind and professional. The hotel is in a prime location with lots of walkable options. Grounds were kept beautifully and house keeping was amazing.

Place was clean, I was only there for a night so I can’t say much about it, my only complaint was the door kept getting stuck, which made it a little hard to get in and out of my room. Got a little loud as well in the hallway in the morning so that wasn’t fun, got woken up at 6 am.

This is my favorite hotel in the area. I try to always stay there when I am in Fort Lauderdale area.

The river walk is behind the hotel and lovely to walk along. Shops along Las Olas were plentiful as well as many restaurants. We chose to have our morning coffee next door to The Riverside at the Hollywood Donut Factory where the owner Bobby greeted us warmly and we felt so special. The coffee was the best and the donuts to die for. Try the Kronut - so good!

This place was average, I was not a fan of the smell in the hallway, it smelled like the carpet was old and dirty. The room ok , kinda small but. Was not a fan of having to walk across the street to go to the pool and to top it off was small. Best thing about it was the small bar in the lobby, great leachy martinis lol. Over the place is ok but not my best choice
