Magnificent, quaint, European flare.... Super cozy bed, pillow-top mattress, sleek, crisp clean sheets and pillows that relax the neck and head. Variety of TV channels, plush spa like towels and top notch toiletries. Super clean rooms, fresh. The pool area is small but the surroundings are plush, lots of green plants, trees give plenty shade. It is possible to feel the ocean breeze from across the street. Beautiful lounge chairs with matching umbrellas. Loved it!!

The hotel is well maintained the rooms are clean and updated,very confortable beds and linens are high end as well as products,very tidy, the checking was very straight forward even is a self checking, jus t the machine to print the room keys was not working i had to call the attendant to the site ph# and they got there quickly and she was very attentive and polite, the pool area is very well maintained and well equipt with towells umbrellas and very clean,ice available and good supply of clean pool towels just missing a litle spray care for mosquitos in the pool garden ...i recommend the hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room! The room was very clean and we slept great.

Recently updated and remodeled. Aretha was fantastic to assist us with a check in problem. They are still finishing up after the remodel and rebranding. Some better signage for the elevator and the main entrance would be appreciated.

The location is great. Across the street from the beach. 5 min walk to restaurants and nightlife. Hotel is nice and quiet with a serene environment. When we first walked into the room, there was a large roach on the floor. However, I understand that this is Florida and the hotel has a lot of greenery around it. Other than that occurrence everything was fine! Would stay here again!

Worst check-in process. Booked a room in the evening as my flight was canceled. No staff on site. Did not receive the "code" for self check in. 5 others also trying to get checked in at same time with same problems. Office was very hot. Tried to adjust reservation and got no response. Loud noise in middle of night from spring breakers.

According to the listing, the pictures and the property were very nice, very clean. So I made a booking. Right after I made the booking, I called them to confirm and they told me that the room that I was trying to book had already been booked and my payment didn't go through. I looked at my bank account and the money was no longer there. I told them that and they told me that I would have to talk to booking because there was nothing they could do on there end. I ended up not staying there, I called booking and canceled the reservation because they could not accommodate me.

The room was spotless and the staff excellent and very helpful. Was a very welcoming place. Lovely pool with lots of beautiful vegetation around it. Very pretty and convenient location being close to the cruise terminal.

Property was old, EXTREMELY TINY room, no one to check in guests. Check in wasn't super obvious, and when someone was playing loud music at 11 pm and yelling at pool, there was no one to call. I texted someone, and got a response, but it was overall just a disappointing experience. I would NOT stay here in the future.

Place is very basic. Motel like but very clean. Looks to be recently remodeled. Short walk to beach. If youre looking for basics, bed, toilet, shower, this is a good option. Comfortable bed. Very sm pool. Would stay again if traveling solo. May not be a good option for a female traveling solo. Dark at night.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little hidden gem. We were immediately greeted by Aretha who set the tone for a great stay. The entire facility was kept very clean, the room was super comfy and up to date, shower was amazing and the beds were like soft fluffy clouds. We didn’t have high expectations but we really enjoyed our short stay here and without a doubt we’d consider this hotel next time! Highly recommend

The rooms were recently renovated and felt fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed. They were equipped with all the essentials you would expect from a comfortable stay, and the quality of the furnishings, bedding, and amenities was excellent. Everything felt well-maintained and practical without sacrificing comfort. There was a power outage that lasted several hours. Unfortunately, this made it difficult for my kids to sleep comfortably. Since I understand that outages can be relatively common in the area, it would be reassuring if the hotel had a reliable backup. Because of this experience, the stay ultimately did not feel like good value for money.

I booked the room 11 months ago for two beds and a pullout couch and found out a week before my stay that the hotel was under new management and had been renovated. I had texted a number for the hotel and was told there was a sofa bed. When I arrived there was not a sofa bed and because there are not any people in the hotel to help and everything is done through text they were unable to help me. We couldn't get sheets or a roll away bed so a member of our party slept on the floor. I even tried calling two numbers they gave me and no one responded. I was very disappointed as I had paid a large amount of money without any compensation. It's too bad because the room was clean, roomy and in a great location. The lack of a person on premise to help out with problems during the evening time is very discerning!

They are obviously in the midst of renovations, so we’re are trying to be understanding. Our room smelt like it had just freshly been painted, it was awful.

The location was good. The window in the shower, which looks out on the public walkway, is covered by a full window sticker for privacy. However, I noticed once I was outside the room, that the bottom of the window covering is scratched off, thereby allowing anyone walking by to peep through the window directly into the shower! I wish I'd noticed that before showering! Also, the bed was very low and could be difficult for some to get in and out of. The A/C was impossible to control and blew directly on the bed at night. I eventually had to unplug it to shut it off.

This motel--it does not qualify as a hotel--was a work in process. Self checkin, the pictures are nothing like the actual place. The rooms smell like paint and it was just a shock...nothing that was expected. Thank goodness it was only for a short sleep before our cruise.

Difficult to check in - had to wait for 20 minutes, Says newly renovated but floors are cracked and stained. Tv doesn’t work. There was a bug on my pillow when i finally got in my room.

The staff was super kind and friendly with myself and my kids. From the street it’s hard to see but the hotel is hidden by all the foliage that makes it so inviting and serene once you cross the gate. You can tell the staff put effort in and care about the hotel. The rooms were big and spacious. I love having a kitchenette when I travel with little. Walking distance to the ocean as well. Booked on a whim and happy that I did.

Nothing The facility was in construction, nothing was ready at the time was arrived, no WiFi and no TV. The manager offered me a refund, I took it and left!

Excellent staff and room

Outstand service despite a booking glitch. Initially I was frustrated to find out my room had been double booked, but the way the manager handled the situation completely turned things around. Aretha went above and beyond to make it right-professional, prompt, and genuinely caring. I left feeling valued and impressed. Mistakes happen, but this level of service is rare. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had a great stay at the Perroquet. The rooms were very clean, as was the entire property. The location is very walkable to many bars and restaurants. We also loved the location to the beach. It was just a short 5 min walk to a beautiful beach. The entire staff was friendly and attentive to all our questions or needs. We could not have had a better stay.

Newly renovated with really fluffy towels and soft pillows. The gardens around the pool were beautiful and there was jasmine blooming. It is just across the road from a really nice beach I liked everything

Very nice small hotel, great location for the reasonable price. Only issue was wrong advertising, they do NOT have sofa beds in the suites. I complained and the resolution was not sufficient (free parking), but otherwise the hotel was great for the price. They said they will correct the advertising, but make sure if you’re booking one of the suites you don’t need the sofa bed.

I really liked that the place is fully autonomous, making check-in and everything else very easy and convenient. The location is great — it’s close to a quiet, family-friendly beach that is beautiful and peaceful, and also near the boulevard where you can find very good fast food and dining options. Overall, a comfortable, clean, and well-located hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was excellent and all the staff, particularly the lady who was in charge during the day were very friendly and responsive. She responded promptly even on Christmas day and took care of our needs.

Check-in was cumbersome and confusing. Quite expensive to park on the street next to the hotel. This additional $32 plus was not expected. The hotel is undergoing remodeling and so you have to navigate around all the contractors and the materials that they were using. Also, the pool is closed. None of this was disclosed in advance. At one point, the construction workers were fighting and making such a noise. I came out of my room and yelled down at them to knock it off. I feel like we should’ve been compensated somehow for the hotel not living up to what we expected. The owner was very nice and accommodating. However, had we had no that there was remodeling going on, and the pool was closed, we probably would’ve picked another location.

It's obviously newly renovated, but not yet ready for prime time. The lobby, or rather check in cubby, is sketchy. Smell of paint is overwhelming, including in the room.

The Hotel name shows in the reservation as Sea Beach Plaza. It was very sketchy, under construction, and there were no clear signs in place on how to sign in. I didn't feel safe, and I just left the place. I never checked in. I don't recommend this hotel for women traveling alone or for families.

Service and front desk were great and the renovated room was great. No problems there. My main issue was on our way home from the cruise we had an expected stay again (Dec 14-15). However the hotel cancelled on us. I typically don't have internet when on a cruise but luckily I did this time around and just got the email 2 days before. It I didn't have internet I would have showed up at the hotel and would have nowhere to stay. Things happen | get it but still not professional. Had to take time away on vacation to look for another hotel. You should have let me know when I was there on Dec 4-5.

Unbelievably terrible experience with this hotel. They canceled our reservation with 5 hours notice. I was literally on the plane to fly there. Then they offered me a room with a king bed to meet the need of 3 people. When I declined they offered we a refund without a cancellation fee, like they were doing me a favor. The manager apologized but knew the renovation had been going on since mid-Nov. mind blowing lay horrible customer service.

I can’t believe this hotel would be represented by Hotels.com. I have lost faith in hotels.com after this horrific experience. In fact, I had to rent two additional rooms for several dates in January and I went direct to the hotel websites to book because I no longer trust hotels.com. Again, I have videos and photos of this as it was completely unacceptable. Construction workers started working at 7am outside my room on a Saturday morning as well. Unbelievable!

I am giving 4 stars only for some renovation inconveniences. Notably in our room there was no mirror in the bathroom. I am guessing it will be hung soon. The woman at the front desk was a real pleasure. She got us in quickly and was very friendly. The only little wrinkle was internet connectivity. We were in the furthest room away from the source so connection in the bedroom was non existent but we were able to connect by moving to the kitchenette area and sitting near the door with it open. If you need a good connection get a room as close to the office as possible. We previously stayed here and were directly over the office and had great internet connection. Overall a great little hotel and a two minute walk to the beach. It’s charming.

Automated check in is terrible. No one around the hotel is being renovated no mention of it prior to arrival the place was not anywhere near completion. Pool closed odd smells I feel misled and ripped off.

Room was in okay condition. Bathroom floor was covered in pubic hair(not mine). Windows and blinds were dirty and broken. Bed was as hard as a rock, everything inside room was cheap. I didn’t even get under the covers. Pool was closed due to renovation, with no date to open. Also there was no staff to be seen. Elevator was scary. 1/10 would not recommend.

The pool was drained of water with a sign from the Florida Health Department saying it was unsafe. The room had a very strong musty smell, Ice cubes in freezer were moldy. Very uncomfortable place to stay.

One of us got a regular room. A friend got a full kitchen room; even received a pic of it ahead of time. We got there and were told that no rooms have kitchens anymore. Front desk is unmanned. It’s self check in, then on your own 24/7. I didn’t know that was legal. Pool was drain since work being done on it.

When we arrived at the hotel this morning several of the guests AND your contractor informed us the plumbing is not working, toilets not flushing, water backing up in bathtubs. Your guests had to go to Best Western to use the bathroom last night! We are not interested in staying there. Owner refused to refund our payment. The health department has been contacted.

Worst experience ever. I accidentally booked the “non-refundable” option and within 5 minutes I tried to cancel to rebook as refundable. It took over 45 minutes to get ahold of someone at the hotel to plead my case but they told me no. They must really need the money because the place was a dump. The pool was shut down by the health inspector. The common areas felt trashy and cluttered. They have no staff on weekends at the front desk. I tried self-checking in anyway and although I was showing as booked, the keys couldn’t be issued through the kiosk. Nobody answers the unmanned phone line. Good thing a guy “with IT” was there to weirdly get me a key. The room had bugs flying around in it, which the pest control truck parked out front should’ve been a tip off of that. The sink was backed up the entire time and the toilet and shower made gurgling noises when not in use. At one point I woke up and there was toilet water all over and the sewer backed up through the shower. Late at night and visually impaired, I walked through human waste. There was nobody to call so I left. I should’ve booked at a more reputable hotel.

Made a last-minute reservation day of cute little spot under renovation right now. The pool was empty. They’re working on it. They just painted the building. Room is amazing. One of the best showers. I’ve ever taken definitely recommend this place.

Restaurants are a hike unless you go to the food kiosks around the very loud bar at marina village or to the mid restaurants in the resorts across the street

The property looked like it had recently been updated. They were working on the landscaping in the pool area outside. The room was perfect for our one night need. The bathroom was perfect & the shower felt amazing. They are a contactless property so you won’t see many people working but we didn’t need them for anything. I was awakened middle of night someone banging on my door to see if we had any info how to get hold of management.that was very scary, had to call 911. Also don’t know why they charge for parking since parking is on open area under sun all day ,I guess because some hotels with parking garage charges In surrounding area.

I took pictures of the property and videos. There was caution tape all over the first floor, the pool was dirty and out of service, there were junkies in the entrance, and it felt extremely unsafe. The room was clean, but the bathroom tub had dirty mat. I would like some sort of credit back!

They just walked into my room without knocking and said he was checking to see if it was vacant. Pool was closed off without any notice. People sleeping in their car on the property. Their pictures have to be 10 years old.

Nice size junior suite with good closet space. Room to move around, relax and enjoy yourself in this junior suite. The beach is down the block, somewhat walkable neighborhood.

At night it was a little scary walking from the Jungle Queen to the hotel. This isn't the fault of the motel, the area around it isn't geared towards walkers.

This hotel should not be listed on Expedia. To have Expedia have such an awful place rated highly as a place to stay in the Fort Lauderdale is shameful. This place needs to be remodeled and deep cleaned. I cannot imagine anyone satisfied with staying there. I have no idea who the people are that give this hotel high ratings. To top it off they know how dissatisfied people will be when they get to their hotel, that they have a no refund policy in place. I guess I should have known it was too good to be true.

I’m torn on leaving this review, the property and location is great value for money. I rented 2 separate rooms for 2 nights during our stay. We had room #113 which was great, no issue. The other room where we stay was #212. Room was clean and cozy, no complain but there was this faint urine smell, I assumed maybe there's a pipe or bathroom was near. During the night, the urine stench gradually increase, almost to a point I could not sleep at all because the urine smell was so strong. Could not figure it out, checked the bed, bathroom and nothing. I messaged the direct contact to see if we can switch room in the middle of the night and got a reply to wait till morning time to see for another room. I did not sleep at all for the rest of the night due to that extreme urine smell. When morning time came, I lifted the bed sheets and bed cover to find out the mattress itself was covered in urine stain (maybe from previous rentals). It was disgusting to see that a bed cover was placed over that stain including all the urine that soaked into the mattress itself. I took a picture and video to send to front desk and was told they'll look into it.

We rented two rooms for two nights. Location and room was great value for the money. One room 113 was great no issue, our other room number #212 had this urine smell. During the night we could not sleep and the smell of urine got stronger which we could not pinpoint. I text the lobby contact number for a changing room and was told to wait till morning time. The whole night I cannot sleep due to the strong stench of urine. In the morning, I took off the bedsheet and cover to discover the mattress had urine stain most likely from previous guest, but had bed cover sheets over it. The urine must have soaked into the mattress, causing this unbearable stench. I took pictures and videos of the stain and sent it to the front desk.

First room had A/C unit froze over and not working, hotel staff switched room and made the experience better. The elevator was not working but the stairs are easily accessible.

This property has been renovated inside. The room was very nice and clean. However, the outside of property looks run down and the pool in tiny! I was told to check in online which I did. It said to get you keys at the office. I pulled in about 7pm and no one was in the office, so i called the number listed and the woman gave me the code to the office door and I was told to use the kiosk. It worked fine, just a little instructions would of been nice. Later that night, I was walking back to the room and saw several people standing at the office confused like I was so I helped them out.

The pictures on the internet are like a dating app. The exterior looks horrible compared to pics. We were scared to go inside the room. However, we were pleasantly surprised at the cute interior and extremely clean conditions inside the room. WILL STAY AGAIN!!!!

Front office staff was very kind and welcoming.

Though I was only at the hotel for one night it was a wonderful experience for the night! One of the cleanest rooms I have ever been in! Quiet and private would definitely recommend and I will be staying there again anytime I travel to the area!

The Sea Beach Plaza hotel was in an excellent location for everything we wanted to do. Contactless check in and check out we're seemless. If we come to the area again we will probably stay here.

Good for the value

Room was clean, but pool was very dirty looking, elevator seemed extremely old, thought we would get stuck in it. Was located on a back street, not appealing on arrival.

Conveniently located to walk to the beach. Clean and quiet place.

This hotel misses on the details. There was no hair dryer in the room. Had to send text to get it delivered. There was a coffee pot, but no cups either crockery or paper. Had to go to the reception to get some. Could have been great, but for all the missed details. Good location though.

Great option for the price, everything you need and nothing you don’t. Location is good, not luxury but clean and safe. I would stay there again.

Very close to the beach! Air conditioner had a mildew smell and the blinds and shade did not block out the light very well.

It wasn’t the room I paid for and there wasn’t no manager on property to help but when I called they answered and accommodated my needs.

This hotel is definitely in need of a refresh. The mattress was absolutely horrible - needed to be replaced. The air conditioning was woefully inadequate. The bathroom needed a thorough scrubbing,

This place is very old, they photo shop the pictures, basically the building is constructed in the 60's or maybe early 70s at most, the beds are small, it is notsomething you would like to stay more than 1 night at most out of necessity

My family and I stayed here for 1 night before leaving for a cruise. I would not recommend staying much longer than a night or two. Ther room was very small, the pool was not heated, the ice machine was broken, and there is nothing else to do on the property. However, the location is very walkable to the beach, playground, restaurants and shopping. So if you just need an afforable place to lay your head after enjoying all Fort Lauderdale Beach has to offer, this wouldn't be a bad choice!

The location of the property was perfect. Close to everything. The staff was helpful and friendly. I will stay again.

Walking distance to ocean.

Very happy with our stay. Place is walkable to shops, beach and restaurants. A little dated but have been told complete renos will be happening within a few months. Aretha, property manager, was amazing. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful.

It is terrible. Looks more like a prison. Please remove this hotel from your website.

Happy to stay

We stayed here for the Tortuga Music Fest. Interesting when we got home, my inlaws told us that this is same hotel they stayed at when my husband (now 59) was 3 years old! Front desk staff were very helpful. No daily room cleaning- you have to put your trash and towels outside each day. Which is fine, but we would have liked the floors swept each day because they got really sandy by the end of the 4 days.

Very disappointed! It was more a Motel than Hotel. Linen poor quality. Shower head so eroded it didn’t work. Very noisy when other residents coming and going. Pool small and grubby. No facilities nearby. I felt like we had arrived in a ‘ghetto’

We had a great stay! Hotel is off the main road but walkable to the beach! Accommodations were fine, older and run down but CLEAN and hotel staff was amazing!

Very nice small motel

There was no front desk staff. I thought this was a bit different. The pool area was small which was fine however the pool did not look very clean.

A quaint little hotel close to the ocean. It was fine but lacked in that the pool was cold, the room door didn’t have a deadbolt, and it looked a bit rundown. Nevertheless, the staff was very kind and helpful and it was well positioned in regards to the beach. I would only recommend staying here if you have a car as the selection of shops is greater around 1-2kms further.

Location is great and good value for money.

Unable to check in. There was no one at the counter. Instead, there is a tablet. The tablet did not give me a room number to go with the key. Texting the hotel gave me no help and I requested a refund for both of my rooms. I was told that a manager would call me and they never did. No email, no call, no help, no refund.

Great spot and was exactly what it claimed to be. Its a sweet little motel that feels plucked right out of 1950. Loved it.

Being from overseas we did not realise that our booking was in the middle of Spring Break. We were unable to sleep for the 3 nights that we were there as the partying went on most of the night. The mattress needs replacing as it was lumpy and sagging. The hotel however was in a great position near the beach, Bahia Mar eateries and the cruise port. The receptionist was very welcoming and efficient with our requests.

This was a renovated Motel 6 with over powering smell of bleach.

Absolutely disgraceful. I have no idea where these reviews are from. This was a non stop party from 9pm until 5am. Not to mention without staff and young kids partying this is a liability. There isn’t a front desk which is fine but at least have security. This was a total cash grab and mostly I couldn’t sleep all night since they congregated at the pool until midnight then came back yelling at 3:30am. At 5am someone was loudly knocking on the doors.

Clean room and safe area

Staff was very friendly. The worst thing was the water pressure. They had an impressive full body shower, but the water pressure only allowed a trickle from the main shower head.

Bright and clean room. Very comfortable and a great location. We could easily walk to the beach and restaurants. Plenty of parking and the hotel was located right before the traffic jams up.

The room was a shoebox with almost nothing in it. The bed was the worst ive ever had. So soft and it drooped into the middle. We were there 1 night. Could not do a second. No staff either. A self checkin.

Perfect location at the south end of Fort Lauderdale - quiet and walkable to the beach and downtown shops/food! Pool and free parking this close to town was a plus and overall this was a good deal for our money. Only markdown was cleanliness because the floor didn’t seem clean, lots of random long and short hairs in the main room/bathroom, but everything else was clean. Overall, great older motel.

The ice machine wasn't working and we kept losing money in the vending machine. Any food/drink was at least .5 miles away. The check in and out process was contactless. We rarely saw any staff but could access them if needed. This was fine for me but it is not for everybody. I rate the hotel as basic and acceptable for travelers. I had no concerns, it was just different.
