Haven Hotel - Fort Lauderdale Airport

Very good

The hotel met our expectations and was an excellent choice for our stay. We were taking a cruise, so the location was perfect for us. It is also ideal if you have a flight or cruise the next day. While it is farther from downtown and the beaches, it offers great convenience for travelers. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was simple but complete enough to start the day. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage for a couple of hours after check-out until it was time to head to the port. Overall, a very pleasant stay and a hotel we would recommend.

Location to cruise port Uncleanliness. There were pubic hairs on the sheets, someone else’s hairs on the pillows, and the room was dirty. It was so bad I contemplated just sleeping in the car. The bathroom gave no room and was dirty as well. I don’t usually leave reviews but this place was so disgusting I had to inform people. Also the blinds did not work so bright lights from either window shown in. I’d much rather camp.

I payed for a room and the guy had it rented to somebody else when I got there after I paid I was forced to walk a block away with a suitcase being disabled

The property is not good value at roughly 140$ a night. Room was just large enough for queen bed. Older complex and not close to restaurants. It’s a motel not a hotel as well. Owner (?) is friendly but the price and pictures imply a nicer establishment.

We stayed one night prior to leaving for cruise . The room was clean and comfortable and cooling system was working properly. This was close to airport and cruise ports. Staff very friendly and helpful. Although dining was limited you could order take out.

I needed a place in a pinch and Haven fit the bill. I arrived late at night, but Ricky met me at the front desk. I was a little nervous because it is a ground floor place and the door had a single lock. The location is a little off the beaten path. In the morning I loved a cup of coffee and some cheerios.

This hotel is ok for a budget traveler who needs to spend one night there. No dining options in the vicinity. Hotel offers to have food delivered from two restaurants. The food was good, but it took over an hour to receive it. The room was dated, but spacious and clean. The staff was friendly. Location is close to the cruise terminal and the airport

I booked Haven Hotel at 11:30pm after my flight was delayed overnight. As I got into my Uber, I received a text from the property letting me know that they gave my room away. (As you can imagine, not a lot of availability/options at 11:30 at night, day of a reservation with a plane full of people looking for the closest, least expensive option.) They offered a room at their sister property, Vacation Inn, which was next door. Everything about the experience was unpleasant and I regret not just sleeping on the airport floor instead.

Staff was very nice and room was clean. On the negative side, noisy, couldn’t make it dark in the room.

Place is so tiny, odd location, not very nice, no coffee pot in room, very inconvenient, soda, etc in main office only, no ice machine, get ice from office, outdated, but clean and saw no roaches or bed bugs. Would not stay again, but at least its clean!!

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST place I've ever stayed! This is a seedy, rundown, unsafe, privately owned motel not hotel, located in a commercial/industrial looking area. Not only are the pictures and price discieving but it reminds me of a place that might be used for illicit activity. I made the BIG MISTAKE of booking last minute due to a cancelled flight and not reading the reviews. Only stayed one night but would have definitely made other arrangements if I could have gotten a refund.

I didn't like that the shower took forever for the water to get hot. I didn't like that the A/C was either too cold or allowed me to be too hot.

Stayed because close to airport with midnight arrival. Price was right

Owner said it would be a $25 fee for early check in. Then, she proceeded to charge my card for $32 and didn’t tell me until after the card was charged. I also found a pizza box in the closet with rotting food and a hair pin in between the bed sheets.

A great place to crash for the night after a late flight and cruise in the morning. Nothing fancy. Accommodating staff.

It was listed as a hotel, it was really a motel, with small rooms and an even smaller bathroom. The tea and coffee facilities were in the office, and so were unavailable when it was not attended. The photos on the Expedia website did not match reality. The property was located in an industrial area, with noise from passing trucks. This has put me off trusting Expedia in the future, even though I have used Expedia for a number of years.

We arrives at the hotel at 9PM. The area was very suspect and we felt un-safe and were not willing to sty in the hotel.

We were looking for an affordable, convenient one night stay before our cruise departure, and Haven fit the bill. Basic and clean, comfortable bed. A few minor condition issues but we appreciated this option. Friendly check in, and nice family running this place!

The property is extremely old and outdated. Spend the extra 100 and stay somewhere nice. Microwave was dirty, the knob fell off the shower, and the grate in the shower was half open when I got there.

You get what you pay for! If you don't mind small rooms, bare essentials, and old facilities, you'll be fine here.

Pleasantly surprised! This little ‘motel’ style hotel has been totally remodeled during covid closures. Lovely tile, new paint, new fridge and MW, very nice bedding. Tiny continental breakfast bar but adequate. Very close to Pt Everglades, midway from FLL. Staff owners very friendly and helpful.

I just needed a room close to the Ft. Lauderdale Airport and this couldn’t have gotten much closer or more convenient. My Uber ride in the morning was $8 and the Uber driver was there within 5 minutes of me ordering it. Considering the price of hotels in the surrounding areas, this was by far a very good value.

My room smells bad, shower walls are falling apart, not hot water and neighborhood is bad, not recommended.

Quiet not the greatest location except very close to Ports which worked for me. Not too sure about over all safety. Industrial neighborhood but I had no problems. Employees very nice. Older hotel but very clean

No ice machine on property. Soda machine on property in office, not always available.powder creamer for coffee. Not always hot water for shower.had to ask for room servicing. Wifi wasn't always working.not at all happy with our stay

They want to check you out of the hotel by 10: 30 am in the morning . It wasn't a very comfortable stay at all. I will never go back there again.

Dirty rooms, rude staff and smoke everywhere. I waited 3+ hours for towels. Some guy tried to sell me drugs. The pool is nice.

They demand a $20 cash deposit when checking into your room. If you have a flight at 7:30am like I did, don’t expect to get that money back. Nobody is available when you check out.

IT was cold for Florida, turned the Heat UP on one of those through the wall units to 90F, when it came on, every 15 minutes all night it sounded like a 747 Spooling Up and still NO HEAT

It was in the middle of nowhere and the first room they put us in did not have a working air conditioner and the second room was as big as a closet

2. The hotel is only 1 floor. The bathroom window was opened when I got in the room at 9:00 pm. No screen. Any murderers or rapists could have climbed in and been hiding in the dark. 3. The only chair was a hard wooden chair. 4. A/C buttons were all missing. It was either on or off. Could not adjust temperature. 5. Floor was filthy. Had to wipe dirt off my feet before I could get into bed.

The service was nice and friendly. The place could use a good coat of paint. The rooms were clean but there was dust on the top of the headlight. What made my experience bad was the hotel across the street they had left the garbage pile straight across the street and that was the view I had in the morning. Maybe if they were to put a couple of bushes blocking the view from the street. It would make it a better haven like the name suggests.

Not all that for the price and oldish will not be staying

For the money this was perfect. All we needed was a clean bed, room and bathroom. It was fine!! Not much decor but who needs all the trappings!! The air conditioner could be updated, it runs on only one setting which is waaaay to loud!!!

The breakfast was quite suitable for space they had and we left for day after having enough. The motel is close to the airport and cruise docks, so it was convenient, just pricey.

Ordered a room for 4 adults that was to have a king bed + pull out couch. There was no pull out couch. We had to put 3 in the king bed and one on couch that was not comfortable. New management had just taken over within a month of our stay. We had made the reservations for 4 two months prior to our stay. It was Super Bowl Sunday and there were rooms no where. No place nearby to get food and we ended up spending $60 to get McDonald's delivered. Terrible way to start our family vacation.

The room was small and the bathroom was very small however the place was nice and clean. There were no restaurants close so it was nice that we had a car to get around. Place okay for an overnight stay but would not like to stay for long periods

Old .. Remodeled, incomplete and unprofessional. Just a double bed, no chair or table, mold in the bathroom, broken blinds had to cover with a towel, toilet seat broken, very disapointing

The accommodation was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, but the physical condition of the property is a bit sketchy. We were a bit apprehensive, but it worked fine for the 2 nights we were there. The location is good for access to the airport and to the cruise terminal.

Didn’t like the restroom the toilet was clogged and it took a while to get it fixed and The staff was not helpful went I try to get the problem fixed. Also they give up the room while I was still in the room which a new person enter the room while I was used the bathroom.

Proximity to airport and cruise ship terminal is excellent. It is an old place with small bathroom, but nice and clean! The staff are super friendly and like family!

Its a dump...a clean quiet and mostly comfortable dump, but you do get what you pay for and support convenient to the port and airport.

My wife looked at me and said “really”? Walls hadn’t been painted in years, tile floor had multiple broken tiles. Thread count of the sheets was probably 20. There was probably 20 tubes of caulking in the bathroom. Toilet rocked.

It was a last minute choice due to flyingout out in the am.

there a sign saying „will be back soon in case call....“ as we are not from the States we were not able to call or check mails. after finding a phone to call we got the information that the key were hidden in the post box. the room was horrible. everything looked like it will fall apart. the bathroom was dirty and old. the bed was small and shaky. as soon as my man turned the whole bed shaked. the pillow was dirty and the smell in the room was ugly. you could hear EVERYTHING which was outside or arround the room. conclusion: price is way to high for that room

John was amazing went above and beyond service. The recommendation for food and drink was excellent.

The Haven is close to the airport and the port. My only complaint is the lack of restaurants nearby. The staff is great and I liked the pictures in the rooms.

The place was clean at least, but the door looked like it had been kicked in a few times and had ragged gaps at the bottom. The bed was stiff as a board. The shower head was so low I had to bend my knees a lot to wash my hair, and I'm not tall. Strange person knocked at the door in the morning asking if we had called for a cab. Would not stay here again.

I can't even go to sleep I felt so unsafe here. Mold everywhere and holes in the wall and water damage.

My stay was distressing because the hotel is located in a very lonely place. This situation did not make me feel very safe.

However when I finally arrived at the hotel, no one answered the door or answer the phone. In the morning I called hotels.com to let them know what's going on and that I need a refund. The representative called the hotel, and they refused to give me a refund because they said someone was there although when I got there, I knocked on the door rang the doorbell, called on the phone no one ever answered. I was forced to turn around and go to another hotel. Do not go to this hotel ever, management seems to have a bad attitude

Nice staff and the location from the Air port was great. The outside appearance was nice, nothing to wow you but looked like it would be comfortable. Once I entered the room I noticed how dusty the blinds were. This was not a deal breaker but it was hard to over look. She. I sat on the bed it almost tipped over. It's on a wooden frame that was too small for the boxfame and mattress. It was bearly stable. Centering yourself on the bed was the only way to feel stable and somewhat comfortable. The worse part was under the bed. It was disgusting. Looked like they hide months of dirt under it. Pic below.

Booked this hotel last minute due to a flight change and it was just horrible! Very dmall room, not clean, looks like a motel for vagabonds or prostitutes! Disgusting!

friendly staff room had visible water damage bed was ok location far from many restaurants but found one 2 blocks away that was great (riverside market) continental breakfast was granola bars, no drinks too much money for the room (paid for convenient location?) for one night it served its purpose but I would stay there again

The room had their mattresses in bad shape. The room smelled bad, broken walls and floor tiles. In the closet we found construction materials. There was no such thing as a continental breakfast at the hotel. Do not book a room at this place.

Complimentary breakfast was boxes of Kellogg's cereal and shared gallon of milk in a frig next to the checkin desk. Lamps and tv had nowhere to plug into so didn't work. Called us after we left and accused us of taking towels which we definitely didn't do. Surly checkin person too.

Hotel is old, mold and dirty everywhere. Extremely expensive for the accommodation standards. Breakfast is a joke.

The people were very nice and friendly. The hotel is dated , but comfy. Although , I do STRONGLY suggest them put a full body mirror somewhere in the room. I didn't like trying to get ready w/ just a tiny bathroom mirror .

A lot of musty smell,the sink is dense,very expensive for what they offer,I don’t recommend it

There was pubic hair all over the bathrooms, the linen was old and very dingy, (hair on linen; we slept on our beach towels with our clothes on), the ac unit was rusty and to top it all off, the locks on the window were broken. We were on the first floor and the windows locks are broken. The crazy part about this is that we were told that our room was recently updated. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. He even drove us to the store in his personal vehicle. I actually felt sorry for him to have to work in a place this raggedy. People, if you care anything at all about cleanness and comfort, you DO NOT want to stay here.

Its a clean hotel but very small there are ants in the shower not sure if it came from the rain or if its always that way but it will get you through the night
