Courtyard Fort Lauderdale East/Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

There were a couple things in our room that were a little bit annoying. It took probably 3 - 4 minutes before we got hot water to take a shower. The light in the shower didn’t work. The coffee pot didn’t work (they did replace it right away). Something with the TV and remote, it only worked half the time. It was minor things but annoying.

Great Breakfast

Everything was well, except for the fact that you have to pay $10 to park your car in their lot on the premises of the hotel. You pay for the room and then have to pay to park there to!

I have stayed at this hotel a few times due to close proximity to my mother. Overall very average. I will not be staying here in the future due to greed of charging for daily parking. They have not charged for parking in the past. This is a cheap hotel on the corner of US1/federal highwiay with high crime and constant flow of police sirens. It is idiotic for them to charge parking.

Newly remodeled Courtyard. Everything was great. I’ve stayed at Marriott courtyards many times over the last ten years. This was one of the best so far.

I was surprised that parking was charged per day via an App - I didn't see that clearly displayed when I booked. There is a bistro on site where you can have breakfast but there is no set breakfast price available, just your own a la carte selection of the options. There is a Denny's on the other side of the road if you don't like the options.

It was easy check-in ans out. Parking is not free.

The hotel seems to have been recently renovated. Things to consider: - $150 are charged as a deposit when arrived, and money is returned in 7-business days. - $10 fee for parking (per day).

Clean, modern facilities and ample parking. Nice business travel-grade hotel that also works well for families.

The hotel staff was amazing. My only issue was not having a key to access the room and always having to have the front desk person to escort me to my room because the keys weren't working for majority of my stay. Very inconvenient. Also, when I asked for a late checkout, they would not honor it. You would think they would have been more accommodating being that they inconvenience me most of my stay.

We got in early and the room was not ready, but we were able to leave our luggage at the desk and received a call when they'd completed cleaning. Easy 1.6 mile walk to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, a quaint village on the ocean with great shops and restaurants (some with outdoor dining and live music), pavilions for relaxing on brightly painted Adirondack chairs, and beach access. The hotel offered breakfast and snack options--we had a marguarita flatbread, which was just enough after our walk from the beach. The room was modern and clean, and though we didn't use the pool or hot tub, they looked amazing, and the outdoor furniture was very nice and comfy. Walked across the street to Denny's for breakfast. Lyft rideshare picked us up in the morning for our ride to Port Everglades for a cruise--around half an hour and the cost was around $30. Would definitely stay at this Courtyard again for a pre-cruise night!

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend purchasing the parking plus breakfast add on, it was a $40 value for only $25 and the breakfast was good. Room was large and clean. Overall nice moderately priced hotel.

Needed to pay for Parking, rooms were clean and nice, staff did not have us scheduled for Early Check in when requested several days before arriving. No room service but plenty of snack options to choose from in the lobby. Pool clean and fire pit beautiful.

The property was clean overall. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. The bistro is not open all day, and in the afternoon there is usually only one person making food and drinks, so wait times can be 20–30 minutes. The pool is ok, but could use more chairs for guests who want to relax and tan.

Clean and updated! Only down side was we had to pay to park in the parking lot.

This location was an excellent stay. The breakfast menu had a good offering of tasty and healthy items. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and worked to make my stay pleasant and comfortable.

Firstly we were a group of 4 and had a single luggage wrack we went to ask for another one and there were no more. Then from 8:30-10:30 on our first night there was a piercing screech in the lobby that preventing us from sleeping that took forever to get resolved. And you had to use your cell phone to call the front desk cause the phone in the room didn’t work. Then the temperature gauge didn’t work properly and the vent blew cold air right where our heads were so no one could really sleep well. Considering how much we paid for this hotel we were highly unimpressed…

This is the worst Courtyard Marriott property I have ever stayed at. It is extremely noisy right off Federal Highway. They gave us keys to our room which had a smell of cleaning chemicals that was burning my nostrils. The bathroom had urine and toilet paper still in the toilet and globs of toothpaste in the sink. We immediately asked to change rooms. The only one available had extremely slippery tiles when you first entered and a sink the size of something in a jail with nowhere to place anything. The mattress was extremely hard. Just terrible.

It was not clear that parking was not free. Not sure if this was hotel issue or hotels.com issue but I thought I was searching for free parking . So that was a surprise . Overall nice hotel

I stayed here in December 2025 and gave the hotel a 3 star rating. I just stayed here again (near a work site that I need to be close to) and was in a completely different room on the other side of the building. This time I am giving it a 4 star rating. The room was better this time around.

The beds were not comfortable. You have to pay 10.00 a day for parking which was not stated. The fire alarm went off at 1am the last night we were there. I will say, It was clean and the staff was great. The location is convenient. I wouldn’t stay here again though.

The only thing that upset me was breakfast was not free you had to pay for it website says free breakfast and paying for parking even when I had a handicap sticker they want to charge you $10 a night on top of the $150 you spent per night on the room Not Ok ! they want to nickel and dime you out of more money and that’s not OK

The team there was very hospitable to us making our stay great! They kept the kitchen open for us about 10 minutes after it closed so we could eat. We had a very long travel day and we were very hungry. The food there was made to order and delicious. The grounds were well kept, the rooms were very clean, the front desk was helpful and friendly. Overall we had an excellent stay and would go here again. The location is not 'great', but the price is affordable, and everything is a LYFT or Uber drive away. Thank you again!

The telephone in the room never worked. Our sliding glass door was broken and not able to lock for 2 days. Finally, they repaired same at 2000 hrs Wednesday. Very unsafe condition

Room had to be changed 3x due to non working TV, no phone in room and roaches in room. Then to top it off items were stolen from room! WOULD NOT recommend staying here at all! Housekeepers and maintenance people go in when they want and take advantage of access and no cameras on property.

The location and setting are fine, there's no problem with that. However, I was upset that we made a reservation for a room for a disabled person and they didn't give it to us. We specifically requested a shower chair and they didn't have it. The room has a coffee maker but doesn't have anything to make the coffee. The refrigerator is very small and doesn't fit anything.

Microwave in room is a killer

Cons: Not much. Was a little dated, hint of a stale smell in rooms. Also not sure if they put us in a handicapped room but beds were very low to the ground. Didn’t bother us at all, but was a bit odd. Other than that I would stay here again for sure!

Arrived at 3 and was told check-in was at 4 but for $75 we could check-in early. I can see if it was 11 or 12 but 3 o’clock ??? Not a good policy. I was not happy. I have never had this at any other hotel. There were several others waiting in lobby for the same reason. Come on if rooms are ready they should allow check-in with out an extra fee.

We absolutely love this place. My family and I discover this place on 2014 and since then we do not go anywhere else.

Definitely sub standard for Marriott. Staff was slow and seemed annoyed at any questions. They also ration toilet paper and refuse to give you more than one roll until its empty. Apparently they want you to use the towels to wipe. Not convenient if you want to walk and also an abandon restaurant right next door. Definitely would not recommend here.

We only stayed 1 night and selected based on location to Inter Miami (Chase stadium) which was great. My son loved the pool and overall it was fine. One lift wasn’t working and some of the cleaning staff weren’t very friendly which is why I marked the ratings down

Room was dated and had an “old” odor. Parking garage was univiting and dirty.

It was ridiculous and unsanitary to only have housekeeping every 3 days. Toilet paper ran out, garbage not emptied, no clean wash clothes for daily use. No coffee or fresh cups. I am fine with sheets not being changed but beds should be made daily. Overall very poor.

Hotel was very clean with comfortable beds. Location is extremely noisy from the streets around. A couple sandwiches and a salad from bistro in lobby took over an hour for employee to prepare despite being the only people there. Was unable to get the fireplace outside turned on to enjoy upon our arrival because maintenance guy had gone home. Over all decent stay but amenities didn't match the price tag.

The man with the ponytail at the front was very rude to me and my daughter who stood at the hotel. He was also very in accommodating to us.

The room was nice. We did have trouble getting towels. We asked for clean ones the first night, didn’t receive them. Second day we asked again and didn’t get any. We went to the pool area and took a couple of blue ones. That night we asked for wash cloths before we went out, got back and still none. My husband went and took some off a housekeeping trolley. We asked for a room refresh and were told yes, we would get one- never did. We were there a total of 3 days/nights and didn’t get anything we asked for.

Great place to stay for Broward Performing Arts events. Less than 10 miles away. We enjoyed A Beautiful Noise, the Neil Diamond musical.

The location is good for a pre-cruise stay but I wouldn't stay more than 1 or 2 nights. The staff were quite rude during check-in and did not seem to want to help at all. Unfortunately the pool was under renovation when we were there.

While the building and surrounding areas were be renovated they still maintained a nice atmosphere. Our only issue was the mattress was completely uncomfortable and I’m sure way overdue to be changed. There was lumps and holes where you laid down. Both myself and husband had sore backs for 3 days.

Hotel clean with great service. Did not care for available food. Prefer hotel that has a buffet style breakfast. My wife disliked the tall rain style shower head since she didn’t want her hair wet while trying to just take a shower.

Not much to say about this hotel. Refurbishment is still ongoing despite them telling me it would be completed about a month prior to my stay. Pool still closed - although it looks very nice and completed now - lobby never had anyone in it, staff totally indifferent- at checkout there were no words spoken! She just took the key and looked like I had prized her off her seat to do something. Not one I would return to

That was not the case instead we were gave a courtyard room facing the office building and people walking by the patio. Went back to ask about balcony I had paid for but told they were booked full - no other room available. I mentioned I did the confirm with time of arrival told they don’t look at that until have you with credit card or in front of them. She did acknowledge that I had already pre-paid but just nothing she could do. Very disappointed wanted balcony up high with view because it was our 50th anniversary.

Hotel was remodeling and amenities closed Marriott said Expedia should have told me that, I got a notice three days before travel, way to late to rebook. Was unsafe and pool was closed. Felt misled by both Marriot and Expedia! Beware!!

This was a great hotel in proximity to where I needed to be 5 min away. The shower had no shower gel in the bottle. They had small ants also lining the shower, which it’s Florida so I understand. I was near the stairs and with only 1 elevator in service the stairs had a lot of action. It was loud needles to say.

The hotel was undergoing renovations, but they were very smart about it and the rooms were done. Comfy beds, dark and quiet and well designed.

No ice on the second floor

When we arrived at the hotel, they didn't have a room for us. They sent us to another hotel, further away from where we needed to be, and we had to pay for another Uber to get there. It was an absolute nightmare.

They were undergoing a remodel during our stay. They obviously started with the rooms, clean and modern. Staff were very helpful, I asked for a late checkout and they had no problem accommodating me.

This hotel is a 3 star at best. It was clean but a hotel that boasts 4 was a big disappointment. Pool was not open and was told that ubers to the beach would replace but this never happened. The restuarant was never open..could never get breakfast there. Thank God Dennys was close by but that was about the only choice. Wont be staying here again.

The pictures showed a hotel that was in pristine condition. When I arrived it was under construction and it looked like a bomb went off. The outside of the front of the lobby looked like the place was condemned. I was looking forward to going into the pool and the pictures were fantastic. However the pool was drained and green it was absolutely disgusting on the patio. Is this false advertising and I should get my money back. Places garbage I would never go back there. That's false advertising. Yes I said it's wise cuz it's true. Bait and switch is not cool

The overall stay was a good experience. We already knew about the construction going on around the property and accepted that. However, the front desk staff/clerk seemed to take issue when I requested another room because the first room was so close to the construction and noise. I wasn’t quite sure of the reason for the attitude, it seemed to be a reasonable request. Despite the questionable customer service, I would probably stay there again.

Very sad with this experience. I know this hotel for over 20 years have stayed there for first time in 2004 for over 2 months. Stayed again in 2022 during hurricane Ian. Again this time due to hurricane Milton. I liked it ver very much in the past. They are going over renovations but that does not justify the bad service. No housekeeping any single day during the 3 nights we spent there. Vey noise even when construction is stopped. Front desk service is really bad. No good morning, or else they never look at you in the eyes. We had problems with a toilet leaking. Talked to the front desk twice and no one ever showed up to repair the toilet. One has the clear I,pression that the hotel is abandoned. Just finishing renovations but has clear marks of mold on the shower area. Elevators do not work at night? Lots of nonsense. A complete disaster. Marriott no more This is no longer a 4 start hotel shame on Marriott

Our two night stay at the Courtyard was great! And that was made possible by the staff. Unfortunately, when we booked we didn't know the hotel was undergoing extensive reservations and therefore no pool was available which was quite disappointing. Also, we did not get the room we booked. Not a huge deal as the room we had was fine, overlooking the pool which we couldn't use lol. All that being said, it was the staff like Evangelina, Flavia, Brandon and others whose names escape me, that made our stay memorable. Will definitely stay there again... pool or no pool lol.

Convenient location if you need to be in Fort Lauderdale but don’t want to pay reaort fees to be on the beach for vacation.

It was nice. Staff was nice. Checkin was easy and convenient. One issue that I had was I did a gopuff order which included adult beverages so they have to verify an ID (because you have to be 21 ) in order for the order to be completed and the order was delivered with an ID being verified but I never received the order. At first I was thinking they dropped it off at the wrong room, to one of the people staying at the hotel but then I realized that you cannot get into the building where the rooms are located without swiping your room key so it was impossible for the person who was supposedly delivering the items to get in the building so then I thought that it was left with the front desk person. This was about midnight so it wasn’t the same staff member that checked me in. That was a lady and she was amazing. That night I called downstairs to see if my order was there & it was a guy and he told me nobody came there to drop my order off so either he wasn’t truthful or the gopuff delivery guy wasn’t truthful. So idk if the responsibility is on the guy working at the front desk that night but that was terrible. Over $80 worth of things for someone to take it & scan their ID as if they purchased it smh stealing and there seems to not be cameras since they couldn’t verify what happened that night.

Overall great stay for our 3-4 day stay. Staff was super helpful 24/7. There was always someone at the front desk ready to assist. Didn’t get to try the bistro but lots of food and shopping options in the area. Parking was super easy and convenient. Outdoor and hot tub was nice. There was construction which wasn’t the best thing ever but we were aware of that before booking. Rooms were nice. The deck was great. TV were smart tv and was movable/adjustable.

Room was clean. Area was a very short drive away from the beach and a very lively area with lots of dining. The only issue I had was the WiFi never worked but as I had my own data I did not bother to find out why. The WiFi was connecting but simply not working. Staff was friendly as well
