Regatta Inn Folly Beach

This was our second stay and we will definitely be back again!

Such a great place! Staff was friendly, room and facility were clean and such a gorgeous view!!! The daily breakfast was so delicious! Will definitely go back!

Great location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful view from our third-floor room. Very peaceful, and we loved our time here. Note that there is no elevator and all the rooms require traversing stairs.

A gem! The breakfast each morning was delicious and they had a wide variety of food while being sensitive to dietary restrictions. They served wine and snacks in the evening. The room was clean and had a great setup with a nice screened-in balcony and fireplace. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and very close to the beach (they have bikes to ride over there and beach towels to borrow!). Parking right on site and a pretty view of the marina. We were so happy with our stay!!

Everything was immaculate...Only minor issue getting back in after a late dinner. But host got it resolved...We will stay again..

My husband and I just returned. My favorite was the view with the screened in Porch. We loved the access to bikes, beach chairs, etc. wine & light apps were a great touch in the evening. Overall our stay was great!

The staff are helpful and make you feel at home. They provide everything you need and the breakfast is amazing! I would highly recommend the Regatta.

First time staying at the Regatta and would definitely go back. Kim and Anne were the best hosts ever! It was their friendly welcome and all the little (and big) extras that made it such a great stay. Breakfast was delicious and happy hour was a nice added touch! They have a terrace with a magnificent view of the sunset. They have bikes available which we utilized a lot. They also have towels and chairs for the beach and would shuttle you there by golf cart if you didn’t want to walk(or ride a bike) the short 1/2 mile distance. The beach was beautiful and not crowded this time of year- late May prior to Memorial Day.

We loved our stay at Regatta In. On Folly Beach. The staff was warm and welcoming. Anne gave us ideas of what to do on FB. She made an amazing breakfast each morning of our stay - not the continental kind. We used the bikes one morning and had a beach ride- my first ever. Happy hour was great with beer or wine and some apps. Our view was nice of the water and our bed comfortable. We will be back and stay longer!

This property has a wonderful location with a fantastic view of the water, marsh, and a beautiful marina. The view from the rooftop deck is truly stunning! The staff is fabulous, the breakfast is great, and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The only change we would make would be replacing the shower fixture with an alternative to the waterfall fixture to allow for more water pressure. We would definitely stay here again!

We are return guests. The breakfast and snacks were delicious as always! Lisa and Kim are awesome — so accommodating and friendly. They both provided great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We loved our river view room and spent a lot of time on our balcony. The house AC was totally turned off our first night, and it was hot in our room even with the small AC fan on. The in-room AC units are also pretty loud, and the hose came out of the wall a few times during our stay. There were also a few days when we came back from the beach (around 4PM) and our room wasn’t freshened up yet, so we couldn’t shower or get ready for dinner.

4 flights of stairs inside - 31 steps plus outside stairs. - not exact count but more than 15 steps. At age 79, this was a challenge bringing in luggage. My bad for not asking before I booked. Suggest addressing this issue before booking. Otherwise, a very nice place.

Anne and Kim were super helpful and courteous. I’ve never stayed anywhere that had the hospitality we experienced. The facilities were very clean. The amenities were great great with the bicycles and beach chairs available to use. So much to say about this place and would recommend it to anyone that’s in the Folly Beach area.

The breakfast was great along with the staff. Beautiful area, wonderful sunsets.

Water temperature was difficult to dial in.. took awhile to warm up and then was scalding. Tries adjusting in small increments but was either too hot or to cold. Since it was and overhead shower your forced to stand over it while adjusting. Not fun when it is scalding.

We had the most amazing stay at Regatta Inn! It is on a beautiful piece of property right by the beach with bikes to take exploring around Folly. The breakfast was always delicious and there were always snacks, drinks, plus a fabulous happy hour available daily. The staff here are so kind and helpful! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will be back for sure.

We absolutely loved the Regatta Inn! The check in process was smooth, and we felt at home with the amazing staff ready to welcome us. They provided us with everything we needed for our stay, including beach towels and beach chairs for a beach day. We absolutely loved it here and would definitely love to return.

The staff from the front desk to the room staff were excellent. Lisa answered all my questions and was soo very attentive to any needs. I will stay there again.

The folks at the property are just incredibly nice, very easy to talk to, full of knowledge of the area and to top it off the breakfast was simply to die for. We loved our spot as we had a corner room that gave incredible views. Lastly, the staff and owners think of everything. Bikes for the trip, early evening appetizers with your wine, fire pit if you want to use it, and many, many more amenities that come with your stay. Oh, and if you like dolphin watching you will definitely see some from the property in the early morning and during sunset. Its not cheap but you get your monies worth and more. Loved the breakfast and happy hour. Lived on the private screened in porch we had that overlooked the water and marina. Squealed upon seeing dolphins. Ann and Kim were both delightful. Next time I’m going to see if I can still ride a bike. Perfect peaceful getaway.

Staff was delightful. A nice charcuterie, board and wine in the lobby for happy hour was much appreciated. Our room was spacious and very nicely appointed. If we ever stay in Orange Beach again it’ll be here.

Location location !!!! The view! The adults only, the “happy hour”, the ladies Lisa and Ann that took good care of us, the room was immaculate. The gas fireplace was nice too! We liked everything

We were a little nervous about the Inn being near the boat marina, but it was very quiet. Being on the sound side of the island was so peaceful, and the sunsets were breathtaking. We were able to see so much wildlife including birds, crabs, and dolphins right from our screened in balcony. The best part was the peace and quiet.

Our view was absolutely stunning! Every one of the staff members (Lisa, Kim, and Paige) was incredibly welcoming, treating us like family! We truly appreciated all of the special touches that were added to help us celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary (fresh flowers, a card, and complimentary Prosecco). We’re looking forward to another stay at the Regatta Inn!

This place was such a find. It’s tucked away on the Marshland where you can see dolphins swimming right from your window! The staff was absolutely phenomenal, from housekeeping to the front desk individuals who greet you at the door. Rooms were clean and beautiful with nice fireplaces and large decks. I can’t say enough good things about this location, it’s staff, and my experience there. Highly recommend.

The place was amazing. We stayed here after our wedding as a mini honeymoon and was exactly what we needed. Check in was super easy and they had homemade food and drinks waiting for us when we checked in. The room was perfect, had everything we were looking for and breakfast was really good. Would stay here again if we are in town.

Our stay at the Regatta Inn was absolutely wonderful! The room was lovely and had a beautiful view of the water – the sunset was just breathtaking. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. We could easily borrow beach chairs and towels, and there were always some cookies and fruit-infused water available. A perfect spot for a relaxing stay on Folly Beach!

Beautiful property with a gorgeous view. The room was very large with its own screened in balcony and jacuzzi tub. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice & there was an afternoon snack & wine offering. The only thing I can think of is that we were missing soap, shampoo & conditioner in our bathroom that was supposed to be provided.

You can be healthy or not. Your choice. Get a marina side room. It is great.

It’s a very quaint & quiet bed & breakfast with the nicest accommodating staff. Bikes, corn hole, fishing off pier, watching dolphins play off our screened in patio- everything we desired. We must visit again and stay longer than 3 days.

Beautiful location from sunrise and to (especially) sunset. Great roof top terraces. Dolphins right in front of you! Little marina next door was convenient and fun. Breakfasts in the morning were far beyond typical with homemade meals each day. Plenty of snacks and a solid “happy hour” of snacks and wine. Mile and a half to Folly Beach town was perfect. Many beach access areas in between. Regatta has bikes, darts and cornhole. Beach towels readily available as well as umbrellas and chairs. Staff was crazy friendly ::) There is a private balcony off every room (I think) and these were only relaxing. Hmmm. Have to really think k about it to find something. It wasn’t inconvenient to me at all but some may not enjoy the shower as it is inside of a full tub and the shower head is directly in the middle of the tub. Maybe just our room? (Catalina)

This hotel is a 10/10. We really loved the great location and the fantastic service!! They have everything from beach chairs and bikes to free rides to beach on their golf cart (although beach is only a few minute walk). We would highly recommend!

10/10 perfect to be near Folly Beach and all it offers but a bit off the beaten path. Beautiful rooms, excellent, friendly, no hassle staff and a wonderful hot homemade breakfast. Get the top floor if you’re able the views are mesmerizing. We watched dolphins, jumping fish, birds and more from our private balcony. Perfect!!

The property's location was a short walk to the beach. The Inn keepers Kim & Paige were so accommodating. The complementary breakfast was delicious to start the day and a great little nosh, wine beer or coffee before exiting for dinner. No complaints here.

We really enjoyed our six night stay at Regatta for a getaway vacation. Kim, along with the other staff attendants, were amazing and extremely helpful and kind in all matters. The facilities themselves are immaculate and have an intimate feel. Breakfast is provided daily at 9 and happy hour with free adult beverages available in the afternoon. Regatta Inn is literally within a couple of minutes walking distance to the beach, with free bicycles and lawn chairs available for your usage. Additionally, it is located in a very safe and relatively secluded part of the beach. I would most definitely stay here again the next time we come to Folly Beach.

Amazing… everything. Location. Hospitality. Quality of property and room

Great staff and amenities. I couldn’t find a comfortable place to sit in the room, patio, or dining area. The AC unit cycling made it difficult to sleep. Keep in mind we are both in our mid 70’s so that may contribute to the comments made. We loved the location and views. The stairs were also a problem for us but the staff made sure we knew about them before we arrived. Thank you especially to Kim, Paige, Lisa, and Mary Allen. They took time to talk and get to know the area a bit. Highly recommend for younger and more active couples.

Brad and I really enjoyed yhe days when Kim was working. Kim went above and be on. She was so nice and was there for anything we needed. Offered to drive us down to the beach at the park and pick us back up. Kept asking us if there was anything we needed. Also she made a delicious breakfast! We definitely would stay there again.

Quiet gem at lands end on folly island! Close to the action, shops, bars, and beach but tucked just far enough away on the south west side of the island to feel like a private vacation home

The visit at Regatta Inn was perfect. It truly felt like you were staying a friends house, not only was it clean and the staff were sweet but the other guests as well were amazing. With there only being 10 rooms, it feels like a little home away from home.

We absolutely loved the Olympus suite overlooking the River! The staff are welcoming and the home cooked breakfast and happy hour were wonderful. Easy bike ride to the county beach park and downtown. We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend this Inn for a relaxing stay on Folly Island. Amazing breakfasts (homemade by the staff) along with happy hour every afternoon kept us very happy! The Inn has been remodeled in past year and the spaces are very comfortable. We enjoyed having our own screened porch to enjoy morning coffee. Short walk to the beach, close to dining in town and Charleston is a 20 minute drive away. Perfect spot for the perfect getaway.

I came to Charleston to get away by myself and this place was absolutely a dream. The views are amazing, the ladies who work there are so sweet. I never had the chance to have breakfast, due to my schedule, but I heard it was so good. I loved the happy hour and drinks available! It was a mostly quiet area (there is a bar not too far, but the music coming from that is great as well). I felt safe there as a woman alone. The rooms were outstanding and I could walk to a beach within 10 minutes! I can’t wait to go back someday.

The atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and romantic, making it an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was memorable, offering helpful recommendations and attending to every need with genuine care. They even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate his birthday! I would definitely return to this wonderful place

My wife and I had a truly wonderful stay at Regatta Inn over long Easter Weekend.The current owners and particularly,the front desk and “COO”(Kim), was fantastic and added such happiness to our stay. Her breakfast casseroles were superb!! On the quiet side of Folly Beach with awesome sunset views. Will definitely be back whatever the season or celebration!

Regatta Inn is absolutely fabulous! It’s on the quiet end of Folly Beach on the Kiawah River. The views can’t be beat, and there’s easy access to the beach at the nearby county park. The staff is wonderful and friendly, the decor is lovely, and the daily breakfast and happy hour that are included are awesome. Highly recommend this place and I plan to stay here again!

The Regatta Inn is a beautiful small inn on the Folly River, with lovely views and a thoughtful and professional staff. We plan to return soon. Be aware that there is no elevator, which limits accessibility.

One of the cutest places we've stayed at. Quiet and hidden but close to everything. We biked a lot and enjoyed how easy it was to get to the beach and to the center square. The beds were amazing, great views, great staff. 10/10 recommend.

We have traveled to a lot of beach places, and this inn is one of the best, if not the best. Wonderful staff, great setting, an easy walk to the beach. The breakfast is delicious. Lisa and Kim know the area well and can recommend good food (ask about the fish camp!).

The property and views were delightful, with the homemade full breakfast a real treat. I big shoutout to Kim - she was a marvelous host during our stay! Hope to be back in the future.

The breakfast and coffee are superb, fresh and hot. Lisa hooked us up with a boat tour Tideline tours next door at Marina cay. The views are spectacular with water behind the property and beach strand within easy walk or bike ride. Paige helped us get our luggage downstairs and check out. Bed and breakfast Regatta Inn is a warm and friendly atmosphere with lots of opportunities to socialize with other guests or stay private. A must stay!!!!

Excellent, peaceful and convenient hidden gem with wonderful complimentary happy hour with cheese, meat, fruit and beers/wine and excellent complimentary breakfast! absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. Our room was spotless, with super comfy bedding and a wonderful view!

It’s a relatively new building. We had beautiful view and the bed was comfortable. There were many stairs and no elevator, so be aware if you have a heavy luggage. Other than that, it was nice and beautiful.

Your Living Space is spotless, the commons areas exceptional. Whether you’re having Brunch or Happy Hour overlooking the Folly River and Marina, it is World Class. And Sunset ?! Pour a glass of Wine and head to the Upstairs Porch, and enjoy the peace & quiet of Sunset On Folly .. DO NOT MISS The Regatta Inn At Folly Beach ..

Amazing peaceful getaway for the weekend! We loved the wine and charcuterie board at the time of our check in and the delicious hot breakfast. We came in February so it would have been nice to have another heating element for the screened in patio, but the fireplace warmed our room up well! We will definitely be back when we visit Folley Beach!

Our stay at the Regatta Inn was terrific! It’s clean, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our room had a gorgeous water view complete with dolphins swimming below. The homemade breakfast was delicious and featured a casserole, bagels, fresh fruit, juice, coffee and tea. In the late afternoon there are great snacks and drinks for guests in the lovely dining area. We also sat on the upper outside deck for a great view of sunset over the water. I highly recommend the Regatta Inn.

Went here for a little mini honeymoon. We booked on a Wednesday and arrived on Thursday. Entire property has been remodeled, and they did a great job. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, service was awesome. Breakfast was great, and having snacks and water available was a plus. Staff was very helpful when we asked things to do or places to eat. We have already decided we will be going back when it’s warmer and we can stay longer.

Our stay at the Regatta Inn was terrific. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful at every turn. Everything was extremely clean and the views were absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend to all couples looking for a retreat in the Folly Beach area!

Nice place

We unfortunately arrived too late to witness the famous sunset, but the room was modern and immaculate! We enjoyed the rainfall shower, down bedding, sound machine and gas fireplace in our room. Sunrise was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the wildlife from both our balcony and the breakfast area. Breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed the slow paced morning with Lisa and a few other guests. Lisa encouraged us to take coffee, fruit, and cookies for the road and encouraged us to visit again when we can enjoy the outdoors too. We plan to! Regatta was a perfect couples retreat! Highly, highly recommend!

Surprisingly, we had some difficulty with the jetted tub in our room. It looked wonderful, but after filling the tub and getting in, I realized it was too long for my 5'2" self to lean back against the backrest. I kept slipping down flat, because I couldn't brace my feet against the opposite end! Also, three small round white caps came off of something after we used the tub...we would have put them back but did not know where they came from. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to come back soon!

We enjoyed our visit from start to finish. My only complaint is we were only there one night, next time I want to stay longer. Kim was amazing, she got us all settled in, gave restaurant recommendations, and offered friendly conversation. Our stay in the schooner did not disappoint, the view was amazing and the room was beautiful. Happy hour at check in and breakfast in the morning were fantastic. We will definitely be back and will be recommending the Regatta to our friends and family. What a little gem!

Great room - recent renovations turned out awesome

Our stay at the Regatta Inn was a peaceful escape. Lisa, our gracious host, made us feel right at home. The delicious food and stunning marsh views created the perfect ambiance for relaxation. We highly recommend this tranquil retreat.

Felt like we were at home. Open kitchenette was very nice grabbing cookies and milk at midnight. View was spot on and not busy feeling like a motel, but you still had the services. Will most definitely be returning.

There is no better view of the salt marshes than the screen porch at our room.

Excellent place to stay. The staff was amazing and super helpful. The only thing that was not outstanding was the bed. It’s due to be replaced. Other than that it was perfect!

My wife and I stayed at the Regatta Inn for 4 nights in October 2024. The hotel was better than we could have imagined. Although a little outdated, it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable. Also, the location of the hotel was good, and the scenic view of Sunset Cay Marina was beautiful.

Very pretty property with gorgeous views. The rooms are all unique and have nice amenities and a very comfortable bed. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We loved the upstairs porch and the screened porches were great places to watch the sunset. The only issue perhaps for some would be the stairs. We would happily come back anytime!

Despite the initial hiccup, the location of the inn was fantastic. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and were thrilled to spot dolphins swimming just ten minutes after unpacking our bags. The serene atmosphere made for a relaxing getaway, and the beautiful sunsets were a highlight of our stay. One aspect we were particularly looking forward to was the garden tub, but unfortunately, it was not operational during our visit. This was a letdown, as we had anticipated using it for a romantic evening. On a positive note, the bedrooms were clean and well-appointed with amazing sheets, blankets, and cozy bathrobes. However, be aware that there is a $30 amenities charge, which felt a bit steep given the circumstances surrounding our stay.
