Super 8 by Wyndham Florence SC I-95 North / Hwy 76

The hotel is horrible. There are a lot of people doing drugs in the back area and a lot of homeless people. People were knocking on our door in the middle of the night. I don't recommend it.

I have requested a refund but so far they are not agreeing. They state that they have a 15 minute policy for refunds. I feel this is ridiculous.

Very good location near I-95. Nice stuff at the reception. My room was clean and contained everything necessary for the stay: microwave, refrigerator, toiletries, clean towels. It seems like pretty old motel, including furniture and everything and even if it’s clean, it nevertheless looks not nice. Despite its smoke free motel, I could smell cigarettes smoke, may be it used to be not smoke free before. A lot of noise from the highway. And breakfast… I would call it breakfast. Coffee, two types cereals, bread, butter and cream cheese. That’s all.

The outlet by the bed was not functioning so the night use of a CPAP breathing machine was not possible. There were no tissues. The floor was a plastic material that was not warm to towards feet and therefore very uncomfortable. Outside the room, the rain water was dripping onto the walkway directly in front of the door. The building was in need of some kind of repair as well.

I didn’t check before, just assumed it would be there like every other place I’ve ever stayed. Front door had an air gap all around and hard to lock letting light and air in.

We had a room with two double beds. We were supplied with 1 towel, 1 wash cloth, no face towels. Was necessary to return to office to request a complete set plus a face towel. Upon turning on the shower for the first time to adjust the temperature properly (i.e., the last person in the room would have been the cleaning staff), the water came out of the top vs out of the bottom. Related to that, my question is: when the room was cleaned -- specifically the shower -- prior to our arrival, did the cleaning people "clean it" using the showerhead (rather than the lower faucet)? I doubt it -- they would have gotten wet! Rather, I'm thinking perhaps they didn't actually clean the tub/shower...

Room 259 has no fire detectors, is supposed to be a smoke-free room, and smelled like smoke—terrible location. Save your money and sleep in your car at Buccee’s.

Bad paint job. Lobby had a bad smell maybe sulfur water? Just not up to Wyndham standards. Location was convenient to highway, but seemed to be a bad area.

Unprofessional staff the unsafe room missing smoke detector and exposed wires from an outlet having no cover in the wall no refrigerator and ride and unwilling to help staff

Everything there was cockroach ? in my room

They were supposed to have breakfast instead. The only thing they had was a cup of coffee. Very disappointing. False advertising.

There wasn't any breakfast food there as advertised. Just a pot of coffee. The room smelled like old smoke. The room was dirty and not well kept.

The guy that checked me in was nice When I booked, it said it had free breakfast there was no free breakfast. I stayed in room 101 downstairs. The door was bent, and the curtains had holes. At the joining room, the neighbor’s dog was barking, and I had to listen to them yell at their dog all night

Quiet and staff There was a roach on the wall in the room. The microwave was not cleaned. The bedsheet had dried blood on it. The mirror in the room was dirty and had gang-related words written on it. Additionally, the bathrooms in the lobby were extremely filthy; one toilet was filled with feces and had not been cleaned at all. Overall, the conditions were unsanitary and unacceptable. The only reason we stayed as long as we did was because of the severe storm, and I have three small children, which limited our ability to leave immediately

The man said the "shipment" did not come in??? There was a 7-11 across the street. There were only 2 tables anyway for a 60 room motel. My guess is there is NEVER breakfast and he uses the same explanation everyday.

Room was not put together properly. Towels ledt on bed. Ironing board did not have a cover nor an iron. Fridge leaked. Floors not swept properly nor washed. Vanity not cleaned properly. Toilet appeared to be dirty with an orange ring in the bowl. Door did not latch or close properly and didn't know until someone walked into our room while sleeping. Bathroom door does not close or lock. The only chair in the room was broken.

Nice staff. Bed and room was very clean and comfy. Bathroom needed some repairs. Shower was hot and strong, so good there. Breakfast was a community loaf of bread and butter and a residential coffee pot of weak coffee. This place is a solid 2.5/5 star place for a quick place to lay your head while traveling through.

Reviews said good but it was far from good. AC barely worked, curtains did no block bright light from outside. floor was dirty. the room had been recently painted but poor job. Hotels.com said there would breakfast but only if you like kids cereal and weak coffee. We were told nrw owners were trying ti fix it up but they have a l9ng way to go.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, there was no cigarette smell, the beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were clean and fresh. If you're expecting a hotel that looks like a Hilton...this isn't the place for you. However, this hotel is better than most 2 star hotels and it's definitely better than what some of the other reviewers say about it. My only negative comment... don't count on more than coffee and bagels for breakfast.

It was a place to sleep and that's about it. When I open and closed my door the adjoining room had a dog that would start barking. The lock on my side of the adjoining rooms was inoperable so that was a little weird.

Unexpected $100 deposit. Mold on ceiling of bathroom. Holes in curtains. Painting and walls looked like it was done by a third grader. Room smelled terrible.

Beds were dirty with hair and other dirt in them. Room door did not seem to shut well A/C did not seem to work well and was busted up.

Where to begin? I walked in the room and was immediately created by a roach and no AC. The bathroom had not been cleaned in quite sometime, there was dead bugs and boot prints in the actual shower. The AC didn’t work the entire stay. I have pictures and would add them to this review, if possible.

I usually stay at budget hotels like this one but this is one of the very best I've found. A special note: the man on the front desk, Dave, was outstanding and hospitable, he will bring a lot of repeat customers.

I went back to the front desk, to get another room. The second room was better but when I laid down to sleep, my wife saw , what look like a bed dug trying to hitch a ride. When went back again to the front desk to complain. He offered another room but by that time, we had enough. After packing we went down to another place, that was 10 times better. The Travelodge was like an pay by the hour seedy motel. We feel we should get a refund since in was so awful. During my time in the military , I found condition in the woods more appealing

I went back to the front desk, to get another room. The second room was better but when I laid down to sleep, my wife saw , what look like a bed dug trying to hitch a ride. When went back again to the front desk to complain. He offered another room but by that time, we had enough. After packing we went down to another place, that was 10 times better. The Travelodge was like an pay by the hour seedy motel. We feel we should get a refund since in was so awful. During my time in the military , I found condition in the woods more appealing

The room was not what I would expect from Expedia. It was dirty, there was no hair dryer, no tissues, and the toilet seat was ready to fall off. I spilled some water on the floor by the desk, and when I wiped it up the toilet paper I used was black dirt on it. SAD!!!!

This place was just gross…. I walked barefoot during the night from the bed to the bathroom in the middle of the night and then back to bed. I woke up in the morning and my feet we black!. The floors have not been cleaned since Regan was President… abysmal and disgusting! Spend the extra $20 and get something without roaches.

Brown strings of cobwebs on the ceiling and clearly visible white stains on the thin fabric they call a comforter. Requested a non-smoking room instead and it wasn’t that much better. Carpets made the bottom of my feet dirty! But I was too afraid that I would catch athlete’s foot if I took a shower. The ceiling of the bathroom literally cracked and leaking, the spare tissue roll was damp with said disgusting water! I could smell the weed and cigarettes the people in the room next to us were smoking. 0/10

This place is disgusting. The bathroom in the lobby was not cleaned and there was certain things left behind in one of the toilets. The first room we were given did not have a phone and the toilet overflowed. The second room was terrible. It smelled like pot. There was a message on the mirror that was written in lipstick. Someone made a pathetic attempt of cleaning it off. The fire alarm was disconnected from the wall and chirping. The picture frames had broken glass in them. There were holes in the wall. We decided to not stay there and as we were putting our bags in my truck we saw 2 cockroaches crawling around the trash can. The only positive experience was that the night manager felt terrible and said he was told that every room was spotless and refunded our money. DO NOT STAY HERE!

In town for the Southern 500 so room pretty pricey - for the quality of the room and facilities it was 'as expected' for a busy weekend. Nothing fancy and would probably by-pass if not for lack of other options on a busy weekend. Was fine just for the night.

Online photos are completely misleading guests. Property is old, needs tons of updates, carpets are dirty and old, doors don’t even close completely, air conditioner is awfully noisy, impossible to sleep, bathroom is old and small. Definitely not worthy of the room price. I will not recommend and I won’t ever stay there again.

Location was ok, but there was roaches in my first room. They moved me to a different room with no phone and the microwave was broken. It took 3 days to get a new microwave never got a phone. I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks. And was forced to keep the stay because of financial situation. Pool stated it was just closed however it was completely black inside. Very bad stay!

The guy on the phone said no problem. At around 9pm (we were 1.5 hours away) we got another call from the hotel telling us they are sold out and they cancelled our reservation (both rooms). I asked them how was that possible if just 3 hours before we confirmed the reservation. He said "well we are sold out so we don't have anymore room for you". He said it without even apologizing. It could have been cleaner and the air conditioners are to small for the room, the pool was closed, the pool was a reason we chose this place, but it was quiet and close to a few places to eat and a liquor store, but overall our stay was ok.

I was traveling with my mother and two children driving up from FL to NY. Late night I booked the cloest hotel to us driving on the highway, did not read any reviews or look at the location. I just wanted a bed to sleep in and a hot shower, which I did receive from the hotel. I booked the room for only one night but did not check into the hotel till after midnight. Woke up the next morning to get breakfast from the lobby which was satisfactory. Upon check out I did not request a receipt since I booked the hotel through Hotels.com and that would ok, but when I got the bill in for the credit card used to rent the room there was an additional charge from the hotel of $70, which is more than I paid for the room through the website. Tried to call the hotel to file a dispute with someone in the office but was told that I would have to call back at a later time when the manager was in the office. Why not take my name and number and they can call me at their earliest convenience? So we filed a dispute with my credit card company and it was initially approved but then rejected because Travelodge said that was a legit transaction and the bank took back their refund. If this is our how you do business by double charging customers then you'll never see me at another Travelodge or Wyndam property.

Worse place I have been to. Never ever visit this kind of hotel again in the future. We are really disappointed.

I didn’t like anything at this place. Room was filthy, mold in the bathroom, holes in the wall and plaster on the wall that wasn’t painted over. Room service came in a changed the towels but didn’t clean the room. If anyone wants to be comfortable DONT GO THERE. Wish I could post pictures.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We booked it as a quick overnight stay for a long drive down the east coast. After we checked in, the keys to the first room they gave us didn’t work and the door handle was falling off. We booked a nonsmoking room and the second room they gave us reeked of smoke. Holes and stains in the blankets, sheets, and carpets. The door did not look secure at all. Saw a cockroach crawling down the wall and immediately checked out. Thank god I bought the hotel protection and could cancel my reservation. There was a Howard Johnson down the road that we stayed at instead - very clean and comfortable. It doesn’t cost much more. I highly advise to put up the extra money for a more reputable hotel. Even for a quick overnight stay.

This was the worst motel I've stayed in. There were two dead bugs on the floor under the sink, we found an ant crawling in the bed, the paint was peeling from the walls, and the bathtub looked like it was permanently stained brown. We left after only a few hours there. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s too old and in need of refurbishment. Bathroom needs renovation. Only one ice machine that you have to go through the dining area to get to. The one telephone in the room had no dial tone even though it was plugged into the jack.
