    the bed was comfortable and the adjustable air conditioning was appreciated. however, i did notice a strange smell in the entirety of the building but also in my room. the bathroom sink underneath the rim had some mold, i had a few stains on my bed sheets, and surfaces including the tv remote could’ve been wiped down. other than that, it was an okay stay for 2 nights.

    Due to my air conditioner being fixed, I stayed for one night and had no complaints. The attendant at the front desk was courteous and made check-in a breeze. The room was clean and there were no disturbances. I would definitely book this hotel again.

    I enjoy staying at this hotel in which I always stay in once I’m in the Florence South Carolina area. It’s clean, safe and well maintained. I love the breakfast in the morning time with a lot of good options. The staff is friendly and nice and if you have any problems, they address it properly.     My room was clean and it was pet friendly. The out side was ok. The main problem I had was the person that checked me in asked are you sure you need a handicap room. I was in a motorcycle accident last September. I crushed my heel and broke a few more bones, so it's still hard for me to walk and it swells bad. So what he said was real inconsiderate.

    The room was ok, but overall I wouldn’t stay here again. I had reserved a pet friendly room which advertised no fee, but it was $25 more. There were only 3 pillows on a bed for 2 guests and they were stingy about handing over 1 more, and they advertised waffles at the breakfast bar, but they didn’t have them.

    I’ve stayed in Microtel Inns several times and have had zero complaints. I will never stay in this one again (Florence, SC). Musty smell, the bathroom looks like it was caulked by a first grader. Most if the electrical outlets have lost their tension and need replaced. Others have burn marks from arcing. Trying to tune a specific TV channel is a joke. Corporate needs to do a surprise visit.

    check in was quick and easy and plesant. Rooms were renovated and very clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean though the tub either needed to be scrubbed better or needs resurfaced because it looked a bit dingy. Shower head needs to be replaced but water pressure was great and HOT. There is NO fan in the bathroom so it gets really hot in there. The only thing i was super disappointed in was breakfast. All the reviews said it was good but it was awful. there was was muffins, bread, yogurt and cereal...and there may have been apples but they were gone. If they would do a better breakfast selection with at least a waffle maker and some kind of hot food like wggs and sausage they would have a really nice hotel. It was a convenient and safe location to the interstate and well lit. Lots of food choces around as well. Overall a great budget hotel just needs a little tweaking.

    The front desk personnel were just ok. The check in person was businesslike and the check out person didn’t seem to want to be there. There was a monitor behind the desk that described the breakfast but it wasn’t as described. There were muffins, bread, apples and overripe bananas. Nothing hot. The bed was ok but there had been liquids splashed on the wall and the window seat had dried liquid on it. The bathroom appeared to have been recently painted but the painters left an unpainted edge all the way around.

    I liked it so much on the way down to Florida from New Jersey that i stayed there on the way back. Staff was very accommodating. I hit tons of traffic on the way there and back and they held my room until long after midnight.

    The staff was weird. Keyed into our room while we were in there to ask if we needed towels the day after we got them. Very weird and nosey. Went inside ny friends car. I was very disappointed because I stayed here last year but now I will never come back. The room was even worse than last year, there were stains in the floor and the dresser and desks were ragged.

    If I could give it a zero star I would. The hotel rooms were nasty. We got two rooms and one of them had a leaky toilet and dripping faucet in the bathtub. We didn't even stay for the breakfast because of how nasty the rooms were. For the price I was hoping for better and I recommend a new one. Stay there unless you absolutely have to

    The bathroom floors were dirty, the maintenance was not good, there was compound thrown on the wall where a hole was, there was a hole in the wall cut out for the tissues, big nails not screwed in all the way into the walls, breakfast was false advertising, there was no waffle maker or waffles pre-made, and the tv was nonfunctioning and when we told front staff the next morning they got defensive about it said we should have said something about it in the middle of the night so we could change rooms but we were already changed into pjs and in bed at that point, we just wanted to inform them so maintenance could fix it for the next people.

    I have a Micro- hotel near where I live in NC it was very clean no roaches no loud noises of banging on doors 2am . The hallways had an intolerable smell and the furniture was broken in the room I had to request another room that one was nearly the same .

    My biggest issue is that they charged me for the room 2 times after I paid through Expedia. When I tried to explain to the manager, he blew me off, insisting he had refunded my money BUT he had only refunded 1 of the 2 $54.60 charges. The charges happened when the person at the desk charged the pet fee of $25, at check in. So instead of refunding me $109.20, he refunded me only $54.60! If he had just let me show him on my phone and listened to me, I wouldn’t be overcharged and furious!

    We chose this hotel for the free breakfast and were so excited for the waffles! Breakfast was not as advertised. No waffles, no fruit, no oatmeal or grits. Two cereals, a couple of muffins and some bread is all that was available. Next time we’ll stay somewhere else - waste of a stay.

    Place was dirty and need a big upgrade, I paid for a pet fee online and then was told I needed to pay when I checked in because it didn’t go through, ended up getting double charged on my credit card. Staff is unfriendly and doesn’t seem like they want to be there. The clientele is sketchy as well.

    Please don’t book this location. There were stained sheets on the bed and the furniture is all stained. I stayed at other locations that have full breakfast buffet options. This hotel served toast and Costco muffins. This location is just dirty. It may be convenient for location purposes but it’s not worth wasting a penny.

    A quick stop for a one night stay was not worth the money spent at this location. While its location is convenient to the highway, gas, and a few food locations the facility itself fell far below the standard a Wyndham facility should hold itself to. The rooms was muggy and the floors wet when we arrived only to find the window had been left open. It smelt heavily of strong cleaning products but the room itself didn’t appear very well maintained or cleaned. The floors- where carpet could be found was disgusting. If you need to plug something in do so before you get to your room because the plugs would fall out immediately upon use. The clock wasn’t plugged in but don’t worry they have a reminder on the door how much you’ll be charged per item if anything was missing. This place was not worth the money spent, a stay in the car would have been preferred.

    From the outside, the hotel looks adorable. When walking in, you’re immediately transported to another hotel. The lobby looks worn down and the smell of cleaning solution seems to just be to cover up the smell of disrepair. Walking through the hotel to our room, there didn’t seem to be a spot that didn’t have a scratch, stain, or some sort of damage. The carpet looked like the only thing it’s ever been cleaned with is a vacuum that is also in disrepair. The room was no better. The chairs were so stained I wouldn’t even sit on them if it was covered with a towel. The room was subject to the landlord special with paint covering outlets, wall repairs done by someone who had clearly never used spackle previously, and just overall dirty looking. Lights didn’t work, outlets didn’t hold plugs, WiFi wouldn’t connect, even the alarm clock looked like it had been through war. Tiles were coming apart, mildew in the shower - I could go on but I think you can understand. I didn’t book with Microtel for high standards or full amenities especially when we just needed a place to sleep for one night but there is a certain level of quality that should come along with booking at a Wyndham property. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

    Good for an 8-hour stop, but your kids will be disappointed with the breakfast! -- The beds & linens were very nice and the mattresses were thick & comfortable. The rooms looked good on the surface, but the carpets, walls, and bathrooms could all use a deep cleaning. There were chips on the walls and some other things needed maintenance. The breakfast is very limited & runs from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. every day - but on our trip, they closed it at 8:55 a.m. -- on a Sunday! The front desk staff were nice and helpful, at least. Overall, I'd stay here again for the price and the beds, but not take a family here, even for a road-trip stop hotel.

The evening clerk went to the restroom with the door wide open...just standing there urinating.....the 1st room they gave me had horrendous black mold.....the 2nd room they gave me was occupied when i keyed in at 1am !! The last room was a king and they made me move out 1st thing in the morning but had no other queens which i had already paid for....refused to let me stay and refused to refund my money for the night. They literally stole my money. Ive never felt so degrated by men in my life. The way they talked down to me... treated me.... urinated in front of me.... just an awful traumatice experience...and still no refund.

    I recorded 12 videos, all with audio, between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM documenting the constant noise. I reported this to the manager at checkout, but he showed little concern. For reference: Room 209 should never be booked if Room 309 is occupied. And honestly—who still buys spring mattresses for a hotel in this day and age? Do yourself a favor: stay far away from this hotel.

    Check in went fast and he was very friendly. The rooms were outdated, holes in the wall, dirty floors, humid rooms because the mini split wasn’t working properly and very limited breakfast. It was okay for one night.

    The night staff was absolutely incredible when we check in. Very helpful and accommodating. If I had a hotel I would want him working for me. Hotel was clean and well lit. Great stay!!!!

    Arrived after checkin time and was told that room wasn't ready. Front desk clerk said it would be ready in 20 minutes and I had arrived at the Microtel at 4:23 pm. Waited in lobby about 10 minutes and told he (front desk clerk) was going to check room, returned a few moments later and told me that we could go to our room. ( I prepaid the room before arrival). Went to room, and room was not ready....I w., garbage in cans and floor, dirty linens on every surface and the housekeeper decided that he would raise his voice at me. I have stayed at this property two times prior to this stay, and always had an affordable and pleasant experience previously, see that standards are no longer the same as they were in the past. Because we were post 12 hours driving, we are staying the night and leaving very early in the morning and will not be staying here any longer.

    Bad smell in the hallway and elevator. Dirty carpet in the room. Broken showerhead. Stained towels. Mold in the bathroom vent. Rude clerk at checkout time. No ice machine, just a dirty Styrofoam cooler with ice for anyone to stick their hands in.

    This is an average hotel for the cost. The elevator was not working. Therefore, you had to take stairs for the 2nd floor. The stairway carpet was dirty. Dust, spider webs, dirt, and stained carpet. My room carpet was clean but many stains. Other than that the room was clean. Outside in the back area had a lot of trash.

    The hotel rugs thruout were dirty, stsir railings are encrusted with dirt, only elevator aparantly has been not functioning since September 2024, room rug had a large red stain in it plus it was dirty, bathroom sheetrock around tub was broke and now has black mold on it, door frame to the bathroom has a lot of rust on it,plus the tv did not work. Breakfast choices were asically noexistant. This was a decent hitel at one time, now its simply a dump, stay away people!!!!!

    Rugs looked filthy on stairs. The elevator was broken. I specifically asked for first floor due to bad hip and knees, I prepaid and they were not able to accommodate me. I had to walk up the stair with my heavy luggage. Staff were friendly and said sorry but did not offer to help me with luggage or ideas.

    The hotel looked nice on the outside but in the room, it was horribly filthy! You could tell no one had swept around or under the beds! We found 2 pills, the end of a tampon with pill residue all around it, used aluminum foil, a dirty sock, and a dead roach under just 1 of the beds!

    Really enjoyed this hotel for an overnight- great Mexican restaurant nearby. Everything was great from the condition to the great price . I would recommend a guide for the TV was a little difficult need a guide in the room.

    It’s a disgrace to the Wyndham company. No elevators working. Garbage on staircase where we had to use to get to our room. Bedsheets had holes in them. Burnt light bulbs. Room was dark with patches on the walls. We will never stay at this microtel again in Florence!!👎

    This hotel is the worst hotel I've stayed at. Not only are the rooms super small(the pictures dont show true size),the elevator doesnt work, the breakfast is horrible. They also dont refund ANY early checkouts, i paid ahead for 6 days, had to leave to a different job site and the damn manager wouldnt refund those days i didnt stay. They also have a deposit that apparently isnt labeled on the website. Manager was also rude for no reason. Worst hotel ever.

    The TV remote was terrible and didn't work, so we called services and it took them like 15 MINUTES to rework our remote and tv. So I don't recommend staying if you have kids. Its ok if ia just for one night.
