We had a wonderful stay at West Inn NAU. The motel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. What really made our experience special was the outstanding staff at the front desk. He was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Thank you for the excellent customer service and hospitality. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this motel to anyone visiting the area!

Clean rooms very spacious short distance to shopping and dinning but were charged additional fees for an extra bed which was already included in the booking price so we were cheated out of extra money when we had paid for two beds in the booking fee

Not bad, but the sheet under the sheet had a weird stain on it.

Check in/check out was easy. Location was close in to downtown. There were a couple of restaurants within walking distance. First, I asked for a quiet room because I had a small dog. They put us in the first room closest to the busy road under the guise of being able to walk my dog in a tiny strip of property running behind the rooms. There was garbage strewn around and grass was at least 2 feet high so it wasn't usable for my chihuahua to relieve himself. The room was dark; had mismatched bedding, well worn thin pillows, no clock in the room, no reading lamps at beds, very dirty molding around the floor. My dog spilled a couple of drops of water on the vinyl flooring. Got a kleenex to dry the floor and it came back filthy!! It doesn't appear they clean the floors because they are a very dark color to start with. They used black caulking around the tub about 2 feet up in the corners, while the rest of the enclosure had white grouting. The transition strip between the room and the bathroom was a trip hazard as it was at least an inch plus lower in the bathroom than the transition strip itself. There was obvious water intrusion in the ceiling showing painted over damage plus a large bulge at the back of the room. They charged us $257 for one night plus $27 for my dog. It felt like their usual clients are unhoused, and the room gave off don't care overall vibes. The posted pictures on the website do not do the room justice. It's obvious that people who left positive reviews did not stay in the room we stayed in.

Single story, park at the door motel. My favorite, especially on a motorcycle. Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and helpful. I went to my assigned room but was unable to gain entry. Ha, ha. somehow, the door latch caught and I was only able to open the door about 2 inches. With a quick trip back to the office they quickly gave me the key to another room. Clean room. Nice parking, close to Bun Huggers-my favorite. Quiet night. The A/C worked great. Nothing missing or broken. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Not my first stay here and probably not my last.
- 3/5
Clean enough. The main feature is being, probably, the cheapest stay in town. There are some oddities. For instance, the AC can not be used from 3 to 8, but at this altitude that isn't terrible.
- 5/5

The bed sheets had not been changed and had hair and crumbs from the prior guest when I pulled back the cover. The bedspread had holes. The towels were tiny and brown and smelled bad. There was a large opening between the door and the frame where light from outside shone through. I could hear someone in an adjoining room snoring loudly, as well as a baby crying, multiple times during the night for extended periods. The room did not even have a single instant coffee, much less any coffee to brew. I had to buy some instant coffee from the front desk for $4. Overall, it gave me the willies. Sorry. I do not usually leave bad reviews, but I feel I should be honest here to be fair to my fellow travellers. Very simply: avoid this place. :(
- 1/5
I will just say, it wasn't worth it, and horrible establishment, I made a mistake considering the reviews on Expedia which were misleading.
- 2/5
All good, but the beds could have been cleaner. The beds were too firm.
- 1.5/5
Price was absurdly high for an inn! Paid $269 for this mediocre place. Bed was too soft and uncomfortable. Trains went blaring by multiple times. Not a place I would stay again!
- 2/5
Lowest price place for a quick stay. Our issue is with the factory plastic covering left on the mattress under the mattress protector. It really was so loud and kept us up from the noise when we’d move around. Also the bed only had a flat sheet which moved all around. Besides that, the place was clean and staff friendly.
- 2/5
Clean room, that is the best I can say.
- 2/5
Cleanliness was okay. Parts were clean, others not so much. The historical motel needs a lot of repair. There was a big hole in the wall. It just want maintained well. Water pressure and shower head were great. Towels are a joke. More like a hand towel and thin. I used my own towels. Bed sheets and covers and all dark brown which is a red flag. No fitted sheet. Pillows were old and flat. Bed was hard and had some crinkly mattress protector on it. Both motel 6s in town are the same price and better kept. I frequently stay in town. Not the worst place I’ve been but I wouldn’t go again. For $100 a night I’d expect more

The staff was nice, but the towels were small, especially the bath towels. There was very little soap or shampoo to use and the Mattress was wrapped in plastic and it crinkled all night long. Also, we got a mirror stolen from our scooter that was parked on the property.
- 3/5
The staff was very nice and helpful with suggestions on restaurants. The room was very basic. Just a place to rest your head. The walls are very thin. It was easy to hear and understand the guests in the next room. Fortunately, they went to bed early, but I could clearly hear someone snoring. I know prices have gone up, but I feel this was overpriced for what it was. The key was a standard house key. Any previous guest could have copied it and returned later to access the room. That is an important security issue.

I liked that Mike was extremely welcoming and waited until I arrived from Tucson. As a person with a disability, its difficult to move quickly and I had to make some stops along the way to stretch my legs. Mike did not berate, or be annoyed with my delay. I appreciate him waiting until I arrived at 1:35 am, which was way over the end of check in as I had traveled for my son's graduation from NAU. That the rooms are not handicapped accessible. The towels are too small for a hotel towel; they are like hand towels. I did take my own towels.

The room was in poor condition (cracked toilet) and generally very uncomfortable. Our main complaint, however, is the bed, which had a plastic cover and was extremely soft, making it impossible to sleep in. We didn’t check in because of the bed and received no compensation. We were simply told that it met the standard. There was no willingness to accommodate us. The comparatively good rating is not justified.

Heat didn’t work. Mentioned it in morning manager came to door several hours later while girlfriend was in bath he knocked for 8 minutes. She answered in a towel he said he must enter the room. He left after telling her to get a massage while she was in a towel. He left she locked door he came back when she was in tub and unlocked the deadbolt she said he rummaged around the room and left. Then came back a third time opened door an tried to talk to her. I had to leave early due to privacy concerns on Easter and find a hotel at last minute. Room wasn’t cleaned before we checked in as well.

Pictures can lie! What looks like a clean room turned out to be less than what we experienced. I made the mistake of not wearing shoes or foot coverings while in the room and when I showered the next morning after our late afternoon arrival, I noticed a rather disturbing cloud of black dirtiness in the water in the shower. There was also no anti-slip mat in the shower and at my age, slip and falls are a real danger. A closer inspection showed dirt and grime along the floor/wall boundaries. Just not very clean. The on-site manager was pleasant and we got plenty of good clean towels. It was also fairly quiet there. So if it had not been quite as dirty as I observed, this location would have gotten a better review.

The room was what I expected for the price. Not next level, but it served its purpose. Always tough to have hotels where the door is right to the outside world, for safety reasons. But it was fine.

The staff was very friendly, gave me a lot of info about the area, which I appreciated. The room was clean and I was able to park right in front of my room. I thought being right up front was very convenient for walking my 2 service dogs, however, the traffic was really loud at night. I thought the a/c wasn’t very effective either. But, the temperature outside was cool, so that helped. Overall. I was satisfied with the room.

My own fault for not checking, but there was no hair dryer at the property at all. They are $15 at Walmart. Even if they were to have someone sign it out at the front desk, it’s better than nothing. The towels were laughably small. I am by not a large person at all, but they were so small, I thought they were hand towels, so I went to the front desk thinking they forgot bath towels… and they just handed me hand towels again. I was packing my car to leave, after staying 3 nights, and at 11am on the dot they called asking if I’m staying another night. I thought it was a bit obnoxious given the length of my stay and I left at 11:04. The blackout curtains don’t reach beyond the window, so while they do black out the light where they cover, the perimeter of the window has full Sun. Most of the rooms are facing directly east and so the sun fills the room waking me up at 7am every morning. Someone drags a wheelie trash can around past the doors in the morning so if not the sun, you will be woken again by that sound. The heater, while effective, is VERY loud. I would turn it on for as long as I could and I would have to turn it off at night, waking up chilly every morning. Upon entering the room, the shower was filled with black hair (I don’t have black hair). Good things: Location is great. Plenty of parking. The noise from the train isn’t too bad. Good WiFi. Bed comfortable. Large room.

Great location and price. Very safe for solo travelers. Room is large and has everything you need. There is a mini window for fresh air and the managers always watch the property and are available if needed. Warm hospitality, always clean and supplied with work desk, mini fridge, micro, tub/shower. Close to everything in Flagstaff but off the main road so it's a bit quieter. Would recommend!

You pay for what you get, and this is affordable, so I get the bare bones, and I have stayed here three times now. The ownership is nice, and the rooms are clean. I say in the winter months, check in and get your heater going at 71 on low fan, and then go do your thing. The pricing is super affordable, so don't keep the lights on for light's sake. Be respectful of the price, and you are all good; they can continue to offer affordable stays.

Parking was easy and secure. My state was in January and upon arriving at the hotel the room heater was off. It was freezing in the room. When I turned on the heater, it would only go up to 72. It took about three hours for the room to get to a comfortable temperature. There were multiple hairs on the bathroom vanity, toilet and bathtub. There was also an open rapper left on the floor in the bathroom. The pictures online must have been right after a renovation because my room was filthy. The floorboards were dirty, the floors were dirty, overall the room felt dirty.

I was told at check-in not to use both beds as it was only myself. I paid for the whole room but was told to use only one bed. The lock on the outside of the door to the room was shoddy and loose. The "hot" water was tepid at best. The room was clean enough, I guess. If all you're looking for is a bed and a bare lightbulb, this is the place. If, however, you want hot water, a secure room, and freedom to use all the amenities including any and all beds in your room, find somewhere else to stay. I would not recommend this place.

I booked this for my son traveling to Phoenix. He checked-in. It was difficult to find the place and parking lot was not easy to find. He got to the room, took off his shoes and checked out the room only to find stains on the sheets and covers. He called me after taking pictures and FaceTiming a friend to tell me he can’t stay there. He packed up his stuff and took it to the car then complained to manager. He was told they were clean just stained. My son said that’s unacceptable and did not want to stay there. The guy told him this was the best value he’d get in Flagstaff and they were booked up that day and the next. My son was probably on the property about an hour and was refused a refund. I contacted Expedia and he told Expedia my son took a shower and was tin the room for an hour and they have video to prove it so that’s why they weren’t giving us a refund. Seriously, my son has records too and absolutely did not take a shower and was there long enough to document the conditions. Absolutely do not stay at this hotel- management are liars and the bed was stained - absolutely disgusting. Expedia did offer $25 key cash or what ever that is called as a courtesy but never confirmed if I was going to actually get it. I have never had any issues with Expedia or hotels until now! Very disappointed. Do not stay here!!!

The owner was very pleasant and steered me to an excellent restaurant downtown, Pato Thai Cuisine. I''m sure for something around the $100 mark, this room was $94, you can do better a be little closer to the downtown bar and restaurant district.

For the most part, it was fine, very basic. What I did not like is the mattresses are covered with plastic so I felt like I was sleeping on a baby crib mattress, crinkling every time you move.

The biggest issue was the cleanliness of the room. The floors were sticky, there were crumbs in the bed, the bathroom wasn't cleaned, and the room wasn't even straightened up the next day as garbage wasn't taken out.

Nice place! This hotel was built in the heyday of Route 66. This place is restored and upgraded and still fits in as a comfy and legit Route 66 hotel. Nice folks up front. Close to a lot of places in Flagstaff.

This was an inexpensive motel during parents weekend at NAU. There wasn’t much left for hotel rooms in town, so I rented this one with very few expectations considering it was a motel. The lobby smelled, but the staff was decent. When I checked into my room, I didn’t verify there were any towels, and tried to go to sleep. The walls were so thin that my neighbor who clearly forgot his CPAP machine was still audible through the wall with earplugs and white noise right next to my head. Then there is the train. When I got up the next morning, in a hurry to meet someone, I found there were no towels in my room and the office wasn’t answering their phone. I finally got a hold of them just to start my daily preparation later than I needed. On checking out, they ask you to place the key in an unsecured mailbox attached to the wall outside of the lobby. That makes me nervous considering any transient or criminal could easily reach their hand in and enter the room causing damage between the time I left and the time they clean. I think that’s a huge liability and unfair to guests hoping to get their deposit back.

The motel is in an area near NAU and close to various restaurants. I assume they got new beds recently. The beds were very hard and wrapped in plastic underneath the sheets which was annoying because every time you moved, you heard the plastic. The AC unit worked very well.

Overall it was ok the beds are too small and the parking was a little weird because he put us in a front room and there is a huge pillar from the driveway carport that made it dificult to park especially when there were other cars parked next to us
- 5/5
Everything was great just the beds mattress and pillows were too hard! I paid 2 nights and only stayed 1 due to the beds

Great

Easy check in and you get what you pay for
- 1/5
The service was ok considering we arrived at 830p to check due to storms making our travel longer. The door did not seal shut completely so when the lights were off, you could see outside around it.The mattresses we hard as a rock, the bathroom was not clean at all and the towels that should have been bath sized were barely bigger than a hand towel and they were ripped. Will not recommend this place to anyone!
- 1/5
The beds were high barely crawl on it..the property smelt like pee and beer
- 4/5
This historic inn was a 'no frills' bargain, with clean rooms, and a friendly front desk. The towels were a bit small, but did the job. Beds were comfy, and we slept well. We did have some noisy neighbors, but they settled down before it got very late. Unusual that the front office was only open from 3pm-11pm, but someone was available on the phone.
- 3/5
But really that was the only complaint I had. Everything else was not bad at all.
- 4/5
Room was a good value, but it was hot upon arrival as AC had not been turned on in anticipation of a check in.
- 1/5
The hotel is nasty, and the staff is rude. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I stay here on the weekends when I come up to work. It is the perfect place nothing really fancy it is clean and safe and the staff is amazing.

Bed was hard, fast food near by within walking distance, like the speedyness of the safe, cameras on property like that very much felt safe
- 5/5
A+
- 5/5
This was an awesome place to stop for the night or even stay a few days if you're doing something in the area. The only drawback is the parking lot is on the smaller side so those with larger vehicles will need a better experienced driver.

We booked through expidia and it said a room for 4 people. But when we checked in the front desk person cherged us an extra $20 for our 2 girls we were traveling with. The front deak said it was on the website. But we booked the room through a third party and that it said a room for 4 people. Also the towels were to small and they smelled. Beds were uncomfortable and pillows were hard as a rock.

Staff was wonderful, hotel was quiet and clean.would recommend to everyone
- 4/5
It was a surprise for the price. Very nice and clean. Enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
The owner of the property was probably the nicest person I've met friendly person and the room for the price was definitely bang for your buck
- 5/5
Great location with parking, great price, easy check in/out, friendly clerk.
- 2/5
Our stay was for a week, and we would have expected better attention to detail. Even with "Room Service requested," no room service was provided. Three days of the week, the neighbor was loud at 4:30 am even after letting the front desk know. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this one could have done just a bit better for a customer staying a week.
- 5/5
Great stay and great price, definitely recommend.
- 5/5
It is a welcoming place. The owner is very concerned with customer satisfaction. Wifi is weak inside the room and the owner will be addressing that issue.
- 5/5
My Host was excellent. Work great with communication through customers. Overall experience was a 10/10.
- 5/5
Mike was great. Super friendly and chatted with me about my trip for 10 minutes. Parking was great. Was able to walk straight into my room from the car which was great after a long 4 day trip with kids.
- 5/5
It was clean and the atmosphere of the environment the building was situated was pleasant and serene.
- 4/5
The towels were smaller which was very smart. Efficient in my experience. The room was cozy and clean. I would stay again if in the area.
- 5/5
Staff was great and room wa nice and clean..Def recommend for a nice stay in flagstaff
- 5/5
Nice hotel would recommend. Bed a little hard but great for a nights stay . Check in was great they were expecting as we arrived late . Would return again
- 5/5
The owner was so friendly and helpful with check in telling me some inside info about Flagstaff, like places to eat and where the gyms were, and where to avoid. Had a great conversation. The room was very cleaned offered a fridge and microwave which was nice and the shower had good water pressure.
- 5/5
great front desk staff very friendly and very kind
- 5/5
Very clean, conveniently located, basic & reasonable price hotel.
- 5/5
In terms of what is important to me to have a comfortable stay, the West Inn delivered in all aspects. Large enough refrigerator to hold my beverages, a working air conditioner, decent TV channel choices and accessible Wi-Fi. I feel I got a great value staying at this hotel.
- 5/5
Friendly service
- 5/5
Piyush runs a tight ship. Easy friendly check-in, no issues, an excellent value for the price
- 4/5
It was close to a diner, some fast food restaurants, and a gas station.
- 5/5
We will go back again and i recomend this place 2 anyone in need a room Excellant staff for sure Thank you!!!

no
- 4/5
The place was dark, walls and sheets. Even towels were a dark color. Couldnt tell if room was clean. Mirror on wall kinda scretchy across from bed.. and TV no stations had to go and look for anything local on tv.
- 1/5
This property was the worst place I've ever stayed at I tried calling front desk several times I didn't even sleep on the bed it's was so awful. The fridge smelled so bad I have pictures of the fridge the shower was stained and had hair in it
- 2/5
As a result, my daughter and I decided to take our blankets from the car and sleep on top of them, covering everything beneath. We managed to sleep for about five hours, but after that, we couldn't sleep anymore. Based on the cleanliness of the room and the uncomfortable mattresses, I would not choose to stay here again when visiting Flagstaff. On a positive note, the gentleman at the front office was very nice and friendly, providing us with a lot of information about the area. However, they definitely need to renovate the interiors of their rooms.
- 5/5
Very convenient for a one night stay.

It's a great budget friendly stay in a nice area.

Wonderful and easy. Slept well.

Property needs a lot of TLC rooms need a lot of work

Avoid at all costs. Was something out of a 60's horror movie. Tweakers abound. Not for kids.
- 3/5
They gave me a very hard time about my age I’m 19, and supposedly it was a 21 hotel and i wouldve been understanding IF it were to be true, the man had told me that it should’ve stated online and I should’ve READ more before purchasing. Rude. But when i looked at the policies online the only rules about age was. IF the customer was 18 OR under parents must call to let staff know. I am not 18.
- 5/5
Customer service is always top notch
- 3/5
The only issue was the flat pillows. It would be good to have either fluffier pillows or more pillows.
- 4/5
Clean and owner is nice
- 5/5
I'm always left alone and the front desk person always has things ready for me.
- 3/5
Nice reasonable place
- 2/5
It was pretty stingy, their towels were the size of dish cloth, the heater worked really well though. Parking was good, definitely bring your own soap, they don’t really have any. I’m not picky when it comes to beds, but it was decent.

I know with the price of room i didnt expect the Quechan Casino Resort nor the exceptional service, but we drove in and hadnt even got off main road when the rep started flashing us and waving his arms yelling you can not park here. Not a hello WELCOME he just kept going off about our ATV and trailer. Did not even give us a chance. My husband got upset because he had to get off main road. My husband and i were not going to park there. We were gonna check in and ASK where we COULD park. I went in to pay and get key. We parked very flustered. I got down and asked if we could get a room close to our vehicle he said no and sent us to the end of room row. He didnt let us pull in and park by our room to unload belongings, we had to carry everything far in the cold and very dark area. I went in to pay and the same rep and asked if he could see my vehicle by camera. His reponse was theres no gangsters around here and there are way more expensuve than my truck trailer and ATV so why was i worried. Theres far more expensive cars than mine. I should of walmed away and left but we were hungry and tired from driving ALL day. Beds were not comfortable, sounded like you were sleeping plastic bags. Stiff mattress, . I coul here right tgru the walls. Here everything outside til about 12 am.

It was great.

Super dirty floors are sticky the table in the room was crazy sticky also... Random stands on the ceiling and on the bed. Also there was some blood stains in the bathroom.. the door to the bathroom was also had random stains on it

The outside parking lot lights were on when we checked in, an hour later it was pitch black. We had our dog and it was very creepy to take him out in pitch black!!! The walls were thin and we could hear conversation from the next door room.
