Reviews
The hotel's location is its most praised aspect, being close to downtown and various amenities. However, the reviews consistently mention issues with cleanliness, outdated facilities, and poor customer service. Many guests also express dissatisfaction with hidden fees and parking difficulties.
- Excellent location
- Lower priced compared to other options
- Lack of cleanliness and maintenance
- Poor customer service and unfriendly staff
- 5/5
It worked for what we needed. Not your top tier stay, small room, few amenities. But quite stay. Would stay again
- 5/5
Great location, staff is super friendly and helpful full.
- 3/5
Desk staff wasn't friendly or helpful. Wasn't even at the desk a few times during the day. Rooms were awkward and partially remodeled. Like the shower was new but the rest of the bathroom was in terrible shape. There was a large hole in the drywall where some plumbing work must've been done. Great location downtown though
- 1/5
The property is run down and is in need of a major update. Our room was upstairs, which we were unaware of when we booked the room, and there is no elevator. The lobby smelled as well as our room. It smelled like old mothballs and chemicals. You can hear the train as well as traffic all day and night. The one positive is that you can walk to anything in the downtown area.
- 2/5
Our room also had a round bright “night” light on the ceiling over the bed: it was lit even at night when we turned the wall switch off and tried to sleep. It was more than ten inches in diameter. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom, and there was not a hair dryer in the room. There is a hair dryer at the front desk that you can borrow and return right after you use it. However, the front desk staff are frequently “away from the desk” so you might have to wait for them to return for help.
- 5/5
Location was amazing
- 5/5
Cozy small motel.
- 1/5
if you enjoy curry scented bath towels, urine soaked air conditioners, cigarette burned sheets, ink stained pillows, moldy showers, no wifi, and your room looking significantly worse than the pictures, by all means this is your place to stay
- 3/5
Inexpensive & u get what u pay for.
- 3/5
Just looking for a place to crash for the night so for that it was fine. On the other hand the carpet should have been replaced in 1970. Inexpensive that was what I was looking for.
- 0.5/5
Nothing The room was dirty. There was pee and blood stains on the bed when we arrived. The person working front desk gave me attitude when I was checking in. There was no parking when we arrived and when I asked the front desk she rolled her eyes and made it seem like I was an inconvenience.
- 4/5
It was difficult checking in as nobody was at the front counter when we arrived nor were they answering the call however we finally got through and it was overall a good experience.
- 1/5
Gross! Outdated! Horrible accommodations. From the furnishings to the linens. Old and gross!!
- 3/5
Steep stairs were not ideal to drag suitcase to my t room. Wish there was elevator or better stairs. Wet spot in floor was dissapointing.
- 4/5
Rodeway Inn is a great value.
- 3/5
Restroom floor was soaked wet when I arrived
- 5/5
This place gets the job done. It actually wasn’t as loud a property as I thought it would be comparing to Monte Vista Hotel. No attitude here like at the MV.
- 4/5
The room was clean and a great value. The beds were comfortable and the room overall had everything we needed. The highway noise is the only thing that stands out, but there is not much you can do about that. We only stayed one night , and we were tired so it didn't really keep us from sleeping. This might affect someone who is having a longer stay and their not as tired.
- 3.5/5
Although I was booked for two nights when I arrived back from a side trip,, the key didn't unlock the door. The front desk did something from their location and i went in. ALL of my belongings were sitting in a large plastic bag instead of where I had stored them.. housekeeping thought I was supposed to have checked out and had amassed my goods and remade the room. I had a fit and brought the desk clerk to see what had happened. He confirmed that my booking was for two nights.. See above
- 0.5/5
location we couldn’t even take a shower, it was so dirty. they charged 15 dollars extra for‘cleaning fee’ for service dog. they charged another 12 dollars for service fee, who knows what service.
- 2.5/5
Location to the Amtrak station. The pictures on the website did not make what the room actually looked like.
- 2/5
Very convenient location to downtown
- 5/5
We stayed in the rooms furthest from the road (115) the train runs through a few times a night but that’s not a big deal. We did have to pay some property fees (12$) that weren’t disclosed on Hotels.com. The guy at the desk was cool and explained they’ve tried to get Hotels.com to disclose this in the past. Other than that the room okay for the price and location. The fridge didn’t work but all in all not bad.
- 1/5
Quick to arrive to Mostly everything. Poorly maintained and you hear absolutely everything from the streets. Noise runs the whole night.
- 3/5
Small hotel and even smaller parking lot. If you have an oversized vehicle - expect to park offsite. The parking lot. I have a 1/2 car (Fiat 500) and thank God she is so small. If any larger I would have had to ask where to park.
- 1/5
Location clos4 to train station The front desk was rude, unhelpful and unfriendly. Very short and impatient and unwelcoming.
- 3/5
There was not much to see nearby except bars and restaurants. No local points of interest nearby. Floors were very uneven in room which made walking odd around the bed, the air conditioner was extremely loud and not accurate with temperature of room, the bottom of the tub was very slick no matt or grips on the bottom to keep from slipping. Gave us a little trouble when we asked for an extra pillow because they only had 3 in a room for two people and the pillows were very flat and no support so getting one extra so we both could have two was hard. Staff was not very welcoming when checked in.
- 2/5
The shops and restaurants are walking distance. The room needed updating and the carpet and floor needed cleaning.
- 1/5
Aircon didn’t work, no exhaust or fan in bathroom so everything felt damp and gross. Good for location but wouldn’t stay again
- 2.5/5
Room was clean and comfortable, good location Can't recommend for arrivals by train. The 3pm check in is ridiculously late. The train arrives very earlty in the morning and although the hotel is a five minute walk away, there wa no one there to answer me. The only option to store luggage was the lobby. I was told an early check in would be an extra 20 dollars. I waited 2 hours in the train station, then wandered the city for 7 hours before i could get in to the room.
- 4/5
Not expensive and walking distance to many places in town
- 0.5/5
It was close to the Amtrak station. The staff wasn’t helpful. I had asked for early check-in and that was approved but when we arrived they told us there were additional fees. My husband left a Yeti cup there and called to have them hold it for him when we returned to stay on our way home. They said they couldn’t find it. We think it was kept. The room was freezing when we got there and we had to turn on the heating unit / which took several hours to warm the room.
- 4/5
My room was about what I would expect for the price. Clean. Staffer who checked me in was pleasant. Location is convenient for catching the daily eastbound Amtrak in the early AM.
- 3/5
They might want to consider putting the body wash IN THE SHOWER alone with the shampoo and conditioner. All in all it was acceptable while also being very affordable.
- 1/5
Bad check in -- apparently this hotel is not paying staff; an employee was politely trying to get paid and was treated badly by staffer. Other guests playing way too loud music. Heater not working.
- 1/5
Again, I know I’m not staying at a 5 star hotel, but at the very least I hope for functional plumbing, working amenities that are included, and a clean place to land.
- 1.5/5
LOCATION ON THE EDGE OF 'HISTORIC DISTRICT.' ADEQUATE ONSITE PARKING BUT TIGHT (SMALL LOT). IVE STAYED AT THIS MOTEL MAYBE TWICE PREVIOUSLY BUT NOT RECENTLY. THE MAIN PROBLEM (THIS TIME) IS THAT UPON CHECKING IN AN ADDITIONAL $5.50 "SURPLUS" CHARGE AND ANOTHER $5.50 "HOTEL FEE" WERE ADDED TO THE TOTAL CONFIRMED BOOKING.COM 'TOTAL PRICE,' WHICH MAKES IT LESS OF A VALUE & A LESS ATTRACTIVE OPTION. THE MGR DIDNT REALLY HAVE A GOOD EXPLANATION FOR THIS OTHER THAN TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE MINIMUM WAGE. DUE TO STREET & TRAIN NOISE WE REQUESTED A DIFFERENT ROOM WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE HIDDEN UNDER SOME (NOISY) STAIRS AND WHICH HAD A VERY LOUD, OLD, UNRELIABLE HEATER. ALSO WHEN WE ARRIVED THE CABLE TV WAS INOPERABLE. THE MGR SAID THEY WOULD SEND SOMEBODY BUT NOBODY CAME. AFTER A COUPLE HOURS I WAS ABLE TO FIX IT MYSELF BUT EVEN THEN THE RECEPTION OCCASIONALLY GOT FRAGMENTED. (AFTER ID GOTTEN IT WORKING SOMEBODY DID SHOW UP.) IN GENERAL THE CONDITION & SERVICE SEEMED TO HAVE DECLINED SINCE I LAST VISITED (SORRY TO SAY).
- 1/5
Was placed in a room at the very front of the motel. Loud traffic noise 20 ft away, but worse the motel is roughly 50 yards from a very busy train track. Train noise all night long.
- 3/5
Chosen strictly for the location, which was within a couple of blocks of the Amtrak station. Extremely convenient, checkout was simply a matter of dropping off the key card, which was handy when the train arrives before five in the morning. It *is* a 1950s era motel, with the usual design limitations. But the bed was good, the shower was fine, and place was overall clean.
- 4/5
That i was in the corner room and could hear everything going on across the street, while I was trying to take a nap.
- 5/5
The rooms are spacey and clean. N/A
- 1.5/5
Location was nice as it was located downtown and relatively accessible. The other guests were disrespectful and being loud throughout all hours of the night. Traffic/train noise was a noticeable and did affect sleep occasionally. The HVAC wasn't working properly
- 2.5/5
The lady that worked at the front desk was not friendly . The room was ok but the location was great.
- 5/5
Location
- 3.5/5
How polite the staff were. There was pee on the toilet as if someone else used it prior to me coming there.
- 3/5
The location is walking distance to restaurants which was nice. The rooms need upgrading and a deep cleaning. The carpets need to be replaced.
- 3/5
Room wasn’t cleaned well, furnishings need to be cleaned better and under bed vacuumed better, food crumbs from previous guests. It took a long time for the room to get cold, heater button labels missing so you have to guess on how to operate it. Housekeeping came knocking at 8am, then again after 9am. Make sure to use the locks on the door, cause she tried to enter the room even after we told her we were still there. I had to tell her to stop knocking and that we would leave ay checkout. I do not appreciate the knocking and intrusion. If you find parking don’t leave, cause you will not find another parking spot on the premises.
- 3/5
2nd room was old but clean It was freezing... kept trying the heat and it kept shutting off The fragrance of other peoples foods was very prevelant. In their defrnce, it was the cheapest of hotels in the are
- 5/5
Central location in downtown Flagstaff, good shopping and dining available nearby. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
When we went to the front desk to address the issue, the worker stated they were “checking rooms because a key had been dropped off.” However, the key cards clearly have room numbers printed on them, making this explanation concerning and illogical. Our family did not feel safe after this incident, and we made the decision to leave. Guest safety and privacy should be a top priority, and unfortunately, this experience fell far below that standard.
- 3/5
Nice boutique motel downtown.
- 1/5
Insufficient parking onsite, manager not empowered, dead bug on wall, outdated A/C unit that had to be started with a writing pen by the manager, mold in the shower, overpriced for quality of room.
- 3/5
Very clean. Heater was very noisy and took a long time to heat the room.
- 1/5
The room we got was dirty and
- 5/5
Location to downtown is perfect for walking and exploring. The rooms are clean and perfect for sleeping in. The hotel is very quiet and safe. Lots of light in the parking lot. Will stay again. Great budget friendly hotel.
- 3/5
Toilet was off the floor
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
The staff was great, the room is outdated but worth it for the price. Location was incredible for us, but the beds were so uncomfortable. We could not get the heater to work, the blankets are so thin and it was so cold. There were other guests, or staff shouting outside of our room from 2AM to 4AM. The pillows were like rocks. I think I slept maybe two hours all night because I was just so cold and uncomfortable.
- 1/5
Alles wirkte verwohnt. Nachts im 1 Uhr juckte plötzlich mein Arm und mein Bein. Ich stand auf und schaltete das Licht ein. Auf meiner Matratze fand ich Bettwanzen.
- 4/5
Parking with our big truck was challenging. Owner was very nice.
- 4/5
The building is old, but the staff keeps it clean and good condition. You can hear the street outside, but it didn't bother our sleep, and we were only a block from the train station, which we needed to walk to in the morning. It's in the middle of downtown Flagstaff, and we would definitely stay again if it suited a future trip.
- 1/5
These people don't know how to run a hotel.
- 1/5
There is never anyone in the office. There office is locked.
- 2/5
Room was upstars and hard to locate front desk had no site maps. When we got to room toilet backing up called front desk told me to come get the plunger and clear it myself. Later the maintenance guy showed up as I was unable to clear it, he did get it working but we were afraid to use it It was a good location for downtown access to restaurants and taverns within walking distance, afraid to leave parking lot as we may not have a spot for vehicle when we return. Overall terrible experience....should have stayed somewhere else
- 4/5
Room was clean and tidy. It's an old place so it's not a palace but it's quiet, clean, has all the essentials. No complaints. Owners seem friendly enough too.
- 2/5
This historic hotel needs some major TLC. It's has the cheapest towels and bedding imaginable, the sloppiest paint job I've seen in a hotel, a staff that couldn't care less - they even charged me a early check in fee for being less than an hour early when the room was clearly ready - and the noisiest HVAC system I've ever encountered. It's also loud day and night with nearby trains and constant traffic on historic highway 66. I knew it wasn't the Ritz but there are clearly ways to do a historical hotel right and there is the way this place did it. I would gladly return to Flagstsff but would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Convenience to downtown. Rooms could be a little cleaner otherwise good stay
- 4/5
It was nice and clean for a fair price
- 1/5
Was genuinely confused when i checked into this hotel. the photos of the rooms they have listed look nothing like the condition they are currently in. The room was dark, smelled like mildew and another strong gross smell. for $210 a night im so disappointed and could not even fall asleep on the hard bed.
- 1/5
We tried to go downstairs in the office was locked, and the lights were off. They would not refund the room. We left and moved to a different motel.
- 1/5
Thr room stank like cat pee and the carpet near the closet was soaked. The carpet had obviously not been vacuumed and there was a piece of trash on the floor in the bathroom. The bottom of the bathroom door was off the hinge. There was water and a coffee drink left in the fridge from a previous customer. I woke up with a stuffy nose and sore throat. We only stayed because it was almost midnight when we arrived and were too exhausted to figure out something else. It is the worst room I have EVER stayed in.
- 1/5
I arrived at the front desk at five in the afternoon and nobody was there except for another person who’d been waiting for 15 minutes to check in. I rang the bell for another 10 minutes and waited. Eventually, I called up Expedia and they gave me a prompt refund. Don’t go to this place. It’s the worst hotel in Flagstaff even though the location is good.
- 1/5
The bed was comfortable. When I asked to check in a little early I was told it would cost $15 extra. There was a smoker allowed to smoke outside my room even though my room was no smoking. Room was small, dark (one tiny window) air conditioner is at the head of the bed and very noisy, and we were given a room right on Route 66 road with road and train noise all night long even though other rooms were available. The room was missing the remote for the TV and I had to go down and ask for one. Would definitely not recommend.
- 2/5
Great location. Rooms were clean. Staff are nice. Coffee and juice for breakfast. Close to VFW.
- 1/5
Half to squeeze into bathroom behind. doot.
- 5/5
The best value for a hotel right on the edge of historic downtown Flag. Perfect for wine walking :)
- 3/5
It was in the perfect spot, walking distance from the train, restaurants and stores.
- 2/5
I’m not usually picky but this was such a bummer. Not vacuumed, bathroom wasn’t even cleaned. I had to triple check to make sure the sheets were new at least. It wasn’t worth asking them to clean. Not approachable
- 4/5
But simplee hotell with a great location to downtown
- 5/5
Excellent location next to a park and the Orpheum Theater.
- 2/5
Not a great experience. There was hair in the tub still as well as a used bar od soap. 5 minutes after I walked into the room one of the staff uses a card at my door and lets himself in unannounced. Scared the heck out of me and left me uncomfortable the entire time. I immediately cancelled my future stay and ate the cost because i was so uncomfortable. It was loud because of the train and traffic. The pillows were bad. The TV worked well so that was a positive but no I don’t recommend.
- 2/5
Old outdated dirty and felt unsafe.
- 2/5
The Bathroom toilet was not clean nor was the shower!
- 5/5
When I arrived the office manager was out of the office and an employee was there on his day off and said he would check me in talk about going the extra mile
- 2/5
Great area right around the corner from all the shoppes, but the room looked dirty i showered there was a pink cap plastic probably from previous guest. I placed the towel on the floor to step out the towel turned brown like the floor hasn't been mopped. Room was extremely tiny, not a lot of space to move around, parking lot was tiny luckily we got a spot o park.Beds were full size so little blankets to get comfy. I guess it could of been worse but still i paid a nice amount of money to stay no breakfast no pool just in case your wondering.
- 1/5
The room was absolutely overwhelming of old cigarette smoke and funk. Would never stay here again.
- 3/5
11 dollar fees added on without mention
- 3/5
Otherwise, the stay was ok.
- 2/5
Hotel was dated and room was not very clean, very small and check in staff wasn't the friendliest. Was very noisy as it's right by the busy train track, which was my fault for not looking into a better location.
- 4/5
Nice clean hotel. I think they would get more guests with an upgrade of the facility and the furniture. Other than that it was good.
- 5/5
Good place to stay. :)
- 3/5
Its an older style motel, in a perfect spot for the Train Station-not terrible, but not the greatest design or room. BIG fridge and TV, which were plusses.
- 1/5
Place needs a complete overhaul! Grubby & uncared for. The reception smelled of curry not a good 1st impression. Staff not the friendliest. Room grubby needs complete redecoration & modernisation.
- 1/5
They downgraded my room and never gave me my money back, had to get a different room because light wouldn’t turn off, the shower was frightening. And the girl at the desk was rude, rude, rude!
- 2/5
Dirty dried toilette paper on bathroom floor. Mold in bathroom. Missing fire/smoke detector. Rude and dishonest reception re pet fee NOT disclosed by your agent, Hotels.com in booking and taking my money. Tiny room with no space. Dark, dreary. General crappy condition of room. Toilette paper shoved in trap door in ceiling of bathroom. Loose sink faucet.
- 1/5
Like being close to the historic district. The office personnel were rude and very hard for us to understand we were told there would be a breakfast but all they had with water down juice and water down coffee, nothing else and no place to have a breakfast, they could not tell me how much per night I was being charged or give me a receipt
- 5/5
NICE LOCATIONAND THE MANAGEMENT WAS VERY FRIENDLY. ROOM WAS ACCOMIDATIVE AND COMFORTABLE. LOVED IT! WILL STAY THERE AGAIN WHEN IN THE AREA.
- 2/5
Too noisey with highway traffic and trains. Not very welcoming or helpful staff. Room was shabby.
- 1/5
Room was not cleaned when we arrived. Toothpaste splatter on the sink and mirror. We had to request it be cleaned. Facility was much more run down than appeared in photos. Won’t be staying here again
- 5/5
Located at a major intersection to get around town easily but also across the street from the train tracks so that was a bit loud at times (hard to avoid though anywhere in Flagstaff) Service was nice and easy - old rooms but fixed nicely enough to sleep and shower.
- 4/5
Proximity
- 1/5
Would not recommend. Room was tiny, doors flimsy, lights inoperable. Repairs to the building are shady at best. Horrible smoke smell in the non smoking room. Did not service the room.
- 3/5
The room is tiny. There is no counter space in the bathroom. The location is close to restaurants and breweries, but also close to train tracks, so it's noisy.
- 3/5
Pretty basic hotel, good enough to pass the night. Price is not bad considering it’s located in downtown.
- 5/5
Good price and friendly service
- 2/5
There was an air conditioner on the wall but it was missing the button to turn it on. I won't be back.
- 3/5
Close to downtown.
- 4/5
Booked last minute, staff was very nice. One block from downtown so lots do walking distance. Also walking distance from Amtrak station
- 3/5
There was a water leak or something that made the 3ft of carpet outside the bathroom wet. The front desk person put some towels on it and said the maintenance person would come in an hour. He didn’t show up by 8pm and I had to call the front desk on my cell phone because the room phone didn’t work. I told him we going to sleep and not to have the maintenance person come. We had a 4am train to catch. It was close to the station which is the only reason we picked it.
- 1/5
The ice machine was broken and they didn't seem to care. They should have gotten bagged ice to give out. There are unsafe stairs that I'm sure are a code violation. Overall, the hotel is dirty, in poor visitation. But, it's in a great location.
- 1/5
Stay away from this property. The towels in the bathroom were DIRTY. The room stunk like marijuana so bad we had to open windows. The beds are not queen like advertised. Rude staff. Filthy property. Tiny parking lot, loud road noise. Avion Rewards should NOT be endorsing this motel. Go anywhere else.
- 2/5
Room was NOT a non smoking room!
- 5/5
Plan your trip around peak traffic times.
- 1/5
I'm am canceling Sunday night because Thursday was horrible. The room was filthy and there were no blankets. I can't believe I will not get a refund. You should not offer this property on your app.
- 1/5
DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY WILL SCAM YOU. Update 1/30: they charged my card yet again after I hadn’t been there for months. 3 disputes and hours on hold with credit card company and I had to change my card. Absolutely a joke The people working are extremely rude and the rooms are awful. They scammed online looks so pretty but in person its bad The beds are much smaller than advertised and there is no parking. The rooms are old and outdated. Ours smelled musty and I felt like I needed shower shoes to use the shower. Such a scam.
- 1/5
We actually gave this Hotel a second chance after staying here once before and the experience was worse than the first time. Never again! No toilet paper, the key card never worked so we basically just stayed in the room. Not clean - machine was broken.
- 3/5
There were not enough pillows. Asked desk clerk but he could not find any..
- 1/5
Bed linens were dirty upon arrival, the front replaced them but for the linens to have hair all over them.
- 1/5
Bad cleaning, dirty stained sheets, hair between them, nothing safe in cleaning we weren’t comfortable. Not good this hotel
- 3/5
Bed very comfy. Fine for a night. V convenient for Amtrak
- 1/5
This property disgusting!!! While we don’t expect a five star resort for the money we paid, we certainly did expect it to be clean. Upon entering the room we immediately smelled cigarette smoke which gave my wife a migraine. The bed spread even had a cigarette butt burn in it. The synthetic hardwood floor was dusty and dirty. The parking area had very limited parking and what parking they did have was so tight I had to let my wife out of the car before backing into a space. The water pressure was almost non-existent and was difficult to fully rinse the soap from our hair and bodies. There is very limited eating establishments within walking distant in the evening. This place seriously needs to be tore down.
- 2/5
Spend the extra money and stay elsewhere. Barely any water pressure. Hotel is just old
- 3/5
Location was perfect for what we needed for the night. Upon arrival you can tell the room was quickly cleaned as there was a straw on the floor below the bed and some debris on the carpet not vacuumed up. Beds are hard and pillows were flat, not comfortable at all. Need another blanket as the room was cold. The heater worked but was noisy and dried up the air quickly which caused sinus congestion. Photos are not representative of the actual condition of the room we were in.
- 2/5
I was greeted in the parking lot by an employee yelling at me asking what I was doing. When i said checking in she said check in wasnt till 3 unless I paid 25$. It was an unfriendly welcome to the property.
- 2/5
but for the price, it worth it. I am globall satisfied, when the person arrived at the front desk he was friendl and nice
- 5/5
Family owned, entirely up to date and clean, great staff
- 4/5
Was 3 rooms w my family. Small rooms. Towels were small and not sufficient. The ac was noisy
- 1/5
Overall, just filthy. It’s so dirty and rundown. The towels had stains on them the room is incredibly small as soon as you walk in it’s just a bed and small walkways. The bathroom was so filthy. The smells the whole thing for the price is ridiculous. We stayed out as late as we could so that all we had to do was sleep and leave first thing in the morning. Needs a lot of work and a real deep cleaning.
- 3/5
no hot water
- 1/5
If you want to feel clean, do not stay here. The bathroom was extremely dirty. There was somebody’s hair all over the bedding and bathroom. There was a fake nail and dirty bandaid stuck to the floor in the bathroom as well. The mini fridge had old salmon in the corner it stank very bad. I asked the hotel management to clean the room again so we left while they did that and when we came back all of that was still on the bathroom floor. I had to ask for cleaning supplies and clean the bathroom myself. Which proved how dirty the floor was when the white rags ended up grey and brown after using them to clean the bathroom and shower floor. They would not offer me a refund, only $10 for hotel nightly cleaning fee for one night. The only thing good about this place is its location. If you stay here, bring your own cleaning supplies and ask for new bedding when you arrive.
- 1/5
Sorry I have to be honest..
- 2/5
Not what we thought, the smell was very unpleasant
- 5/5
Feel safe and nice
- 2/5
Staff demanded we move our car from the handicap parking even though we clearly had handicap plates. They shouted at us stating that only the owner is allowed to park in the handicap parking.
- 2/5
The staff weren't friendly, the bathroom wasn't very clean, the AC/heating unit didn't work right, the ice machine didn't work, and although there were plenty of rooms, we couldn't get one on the bottom floor. The TV didn't work, but they came and fixed it.
- 3/5
Parking lot is tiny
- 4/5
No hot water in the shower
- 1/5
Smells of cigarettes. Questionable furnishings. Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, two flat pillows for a queen bed is criminal.
- 5/5
We moved to this hotel after a terrible experience at the hotel monte vista and it was everything we needed to turn our stay around! Clean rooms, friendly staff, plenty of parking, and half the price. I recommend this hotel over the other any day!!
- 3/5
Very close to AMTRAK and cheap.
- 2/5
1st person we felt with was nice. 2nd, not so much. This place is somewhat wore down. It is a place to sleep for a night.
- 1/5
This was one of the worst hotel we have stayed at. The room smell musky, the fridge had mold all over, the pillows had stains on them. The towels look very dirty. We didn't take a shower, we couldn't use the tv. I went to the lobby and told the lady, she said to go upstairs and she will call me to tell me how to set it up, well she never did. I will not recommend this place unless you are desperate.
- 3/5
Staff was very nice. Property needs an upgrade, especially due to rooms are over $100 per night.

Location was terrible. Train station across the road and loud vehicles. Also the pet fee was 50 dollars and when all said and done I paid a premium price for a substandard room. Also there was tooth paste on the faucet from the previous occupant. Was not clean at all. I got up and left early because I couldn’t sleep. Was a huge mistake staying at Rodeway Inn.

Booked a king, was not told of a plumbing issue causing a room change until we walked in to the room. Drain in shower covered in hair and not seated properly. Fridge barely cold.

Not as the pictures were shown, dirty sheets and filthy bathroom with rude staff. Don’t stay here.
- 3/5
The property was very dated and too expensive for the age. It was very walkable to all of downtown.
- 5/5
Everything was great!

Basic accomidations, small but clean rooms. Pictues on site deceiving. Close to tracks but quiet w AC on. Rooms near street were noisier. Great location that's it. Could use some new towels, ones in room were old and tiered.

This was the worst motel I've ever seen. First off there isn't enough parking spots so you have to pay to park behind the motel down an alley way. Next the pictures aren't what the rooms look like. The room was super dirty and the shower was so gross. Then the lady behind the desk argued with me that that the pictures on the website weren't this motel. I asked for my money back and she said no so im stopping payment on my card. DON'T STAY HERE!!!!

No parking bad smells in the room tv dosen't work and more

This place is awful. Strong smell of urine in room. We left immediately and stayed somewhere else. No refund.

This hotel is very convenient to Flagstaff train station. The room is suitable enough given it's not very expensive. The bathroom appeared to be newly renovated. I'd stay again!
- 1/5
I know the hotel can't help its location but it was incredibly noisy with a busy highway and a busy freight train track right outside--and no attempt at sound proofing windows or doors. In fact every time someone else slammed their door, ours banged and rattled in response. The stairs to our second floor room had narrow treads and uneven risers, making then somewhat scary to use. The room was incredibly small, and lacked basics like bedside lamps--only very glary overhead lights. The "desk" was jammed up under the clothes hanging rack which made it unusable. The sink looked dirty, but on closer inspection was only stained and pitted. The wires and connectors to the TV were dangling across the wall. The window AC unit was efficient but also incredibly loud. The whole effect was so depressing that we didn't even stay the night, choosing to drive more hours rather than stay there.
- 3/5
The shower was filthy. There was hair and what I am assuming was shampoo all over the walls. The AC unit worked but none of the buttons had any type on them. It was just guessing which button would work. The train going by at least once an hour all night long was annoying. It was inexpensive and lived up to its price point.

I paid for a king but was put into 2 double beds. We did not stay a second night but paid for it. We had to pay $100 for pet.
- 1/5
This was a postage stamp sized room. The bed was nicely made, but the bedspread had terrible stains on it. The air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool. The noise level of the AC was deafening. Bathroom was very small, but clean. The only tissues available were the the toilet paper. The second day, there was no room service at all. The bed was left unmade and no effort was made to refresh it or clean at all. The staff were nice and responded to any requests made at the front desk, but just a low quality room and service. On my list of do not stay there again!!!

Parking was a mess if you got back late there was no where to park. Until you ask about it.
- 2/5
Rooms did not match pictures on website. Dirty towels, limited parking. No extra toilet paper. Only one set of electrical outlets not near bed.

Pictures did not match actual rooms. Very old and dirty. Towels were dirty, parking was very limited.

Thank You Rodeway Inn

Basic, clean accommodations at competitive rates. Great for those that want to walk around downtown without worrying about driving.

They put us on the 3rd floor, had to walk upstairs, ubclean, staff would not help with floor level room or room condition, In pain and regretful

The area around it was pretty nice the rooms were like ugly they weren’t that clean and needed some remodeling looked super old

Property is well taken care of. It’s an older establishment, but good. Service was great and helpful.

Our room was barely cleaned from the previous guests. The pervious guests (or others prior) left a nasty cooler in the closet that had rotting gallon of warm milk and a bottle of wine in a substances at the bottom of the cooler. The bed was made but probably not cleaned, there was lots of hair strands left on the bed (ew). The soap in the bathroom was also used and not replenished. When we went to tell the front office the lights were off and the door was locked (night time). We told the staff when we checked out the following morning and was accused of it being our problem we didn't say anything sooner. Definitely won't come back.

Service at desk was rude and just kept adding on charges to my room. When I got to my room it was awful. Carpet was filthy and bed sheets were stained. Opened closet and it was full of supplies. Picture included

Clean and perfect location

I don’t recommend this hotel. The parking is tiny and has limited spaces. In our room the toilet and the TV did not work. The bed was ok and the fridge kind of worked. The AC was a window unit that barely worked. We only stayed overnight. Otherwise we would have complained to management and most like changed hotels.
- 2/5
The small of the place was horrible. Can’t tell if it’s from the bathroom/ bed or just the entire room.
- 2/5
Good value. You get what you pay for 😁 room smelled a little funky but close walking distance to everything.
- 1/5
Refused to check in and they wouldn't return my deposit when I asked 24 hours after making it because so, so many reviews say the place is a dump, dirt, unclean sheets, faulty plumbing, and bedbugs. Do not ever come to this, literally, louse-y place.
- 1/5
They charged us for extra fees once we checked in and when i refused to pay them they said they would not give me the room and would not refund what i already paid.
- 2/5
The room we were given was dirty and smell funny. The lady at the lobby was nice and heard our complain and changed our room. The new room was better. But the hotel definitely needs an upgrade. Even the towels are so old, you feel a bit creep out to dry yourself with them. Carpet on floor full of stains and blanket as well.
- 3/5
It is okay for a short night before leaving on a train. They need to visit the condition of the rooms desperately. The sheets and towels seemed clean.
- 3/5
Like an old school no tell motel
- 3/5
To small no room for luggage.
- 2/5
The bed one lumpy pillow a sheet and a blanket you can see throughIt obviously didn't bother the people in the room next door the banging on the wall was constant To sum up grotty at best is all I can say

The only good thing about this property is location. Everything in the room was duct taped together for a “fix” . Our shower curtain was down when we arrived. Asked the front desk to fix, he came in and put it back up but came down mid shower. The shower head is about tall enough for a midget and have to bend down the whole time showering and doesn’t adjust because it’s broke on the wall.
- 2/5
The cleanliness of the rooms are beyond questionable. The pillows had no pillowcases. Pillows were disgusting and had dried blood stains. I had to sacrifice a t shirt to use as a pillowcase and still used a towel on top to lay my head on. I would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice place. Parking was limited.
- 2/5
The pillows were stained so I didn’t use them, the door didn’t close/seal properly, and the parking is tight. Definitely a one and done stay.
- 1/5
Too noisy smelled like smoke.
- 1/5
It wasn't great. We had to pay and extra $10 hotel fee because we booked through Hotels.com. The closet in our room was used for the motels storage. Everything in the room was very run down and weirdly repaired.
- 1/5
No shower pressure or lights in dark enclosed hallway to my room, super scary for most people I'm sure. Don't stay there unless that's all u can afford. Next to 66 n trains, stayed 4 nights worse EVER
- 1/5
It smelled terrible. I had to climb in through the window because the door handle would not open. Small cramped dilapidated quarters.
- 4/5
Bed was too hard for me. Location was perfect.
- 4/5
Many reviews complain about cleanliness and water heat/pressure, but my room was clean and the shower came on hot immediately. Yeah, the street and railroad tracks are noisy. It's a downtown location. Everything worked fine in the room except for very weak, pretty much useless, wi-fi. Management should address that. Also, the heating unit in the window isn't old but the interface makes little sense, and it's overly loud. Makes me wonder whether a better choice might have been made. Other than the problems noted the downtown location is a major plus, and makes the facility a choice to consider.
- 2/5
The room was cold and it did not warm up with the heater going.
- 2/5
Lady charged me $25 at check in. I had two double beds. She said $10 cleaning fee and $15 charge to have 3 ppl in the room. Smh. One bed two ppl.. So 2 beds 4 ppl should be ok? She ask me how many ppl in the room. I said 3. She charges me $15 extra for 3 ppl. Smh. I'm tired and came in from the airport shuttle.I needed to sleep.i will not stay at this hotel again.
- 2/5
my room was freezing! the heat was turned off and took all night to warm up just a little
- 1/5
Worst shower of my life. No water pressure and couldn't maintain warm water. Kept changing to cold. I have had better showers camping. Room had a nasty smell. I felt like they sprayed something to cover up a worse odor.
- 1/5
There was an extra $10 charge for checking in. I could not use the closet because it was used for storage. They had 6 large hotel mirrors stored there. They charged other customers for an extra vehicle parking and left me without a parking space. I had to park two blocks two away in freezing weather
