I’ve been staying here for over 6 years amazing mom and pop spot clean, great location access to all of flagstaff.

Good parking and clean room

P.S. They had an end table drawer safe that was a nice surprise.

To this 57 yr old body the bed was painfully hard. I could hear every fart the neighbors ripped because the walls are so thin. And the trains... all night and all day trains shaking the walls. I got 2 hrs sleep at best. The room was clean, the staff was nice and accommodating but the experience was a bomb. I won't be coming back.

We slept well, the bed was comfortable. The price was good and it was fun to stay on Route 66 :)

This was a last minute decision to stop in Flagstaff for the night. The facility was clean and reasonably priced. The staff was VERY helpful the next morning with helping us with jump starting our car. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

overall it was a great overnight stay, my bed was a little firm, but everything else was awesome.

Stayed here for the weekend. My son had a soccer tournament. Saturday there was an issue with the plumbing and they got it taken care of. Stuff happens and it wasn't there fault. The owners were very apologetic everytime we seen them and while checking out. Other then that, the room was clean. The beds were comfortable, yes there is a train across the street, but you could barley hear it. I would stay here and I will stay here again!!!!!

Loved my stay! My only problem was the proximity to the freight trains that came by several times in the middle of the night. But a very comfortable, simple room, which was all I needed!

Disappointing

My room was clean, modern, and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bed and furnishings. Excellent. You can tell that there is a real pride in ownership here. Would definitely stay again.

Last minute stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are as you'd expect in this price range, but have been recently remodeled. There is obvious care and attention to the facility. My only complaint is a personal preference - I like firm (9/10) mattresses, this one was very soft (3/10).

Nice big clean rooms, very good price, you can park a car directly next to your room. Very nice for overnight stay. You cannot turn on in a bathroom to do not light to whole room (not ideal in 4 person room during night), not a possibility of breakfast - only coffee that was non drinkable

Parking was right outside my door so that was nice. Didn’t know if any amenities nor were any really shared. Only thing I saw was the out of order coffee bar in the main office.

The cleaning lady knocked on the door at 10. And told us it was time to check out. I got the room for 2 nights not one. She was confused when I told her I got it for 2 nights.

The Relax Inn is less than half the cost of many of the other brands, but provides a clean room. I liked the amount of counter space and the easy check-in and check-out process. My wife commented on how the setup of the location where we could just park in front of the room was so beneficial for our Mother's who don't get around as easily anymore. The front office did have coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the morning. No breakfast, but saving a $100 per day let us enjoy different restaurants across Flagstaff. I find the other hotels that do provide breakfast may be convenient, but they usually are just OK quality, so it was nice to get out. You do get to hear the train once in the while, but with the AC/Heater fan on I could barely hear it. I actually think it was better than hearing someone pounding around on the floor above me that we always experience at hotels. I never heard the folks in the rooms adjacent, which once again, we tend to at other hotels. Parking was easy. We did not ask for the room to be cleaned, but I did get clean towels from the staff when I saw them in the mornings with no issues. They made it easy. My wife stayed here with my daughter in the past and she enjoyed the experience. I wish we would have stayed here more in the past. Operators of this place are excellent! Thank you!

My room smelled like it had been doused in a swimming pool of perfume. I had the window open, the air conditioner on, and the bathroom fan on all evening and it still stunk. I had to close the window when trying to sleep because the property is directly across the street from double railroad tracks. I ended up with a headache and stuffed up nose. And to top it off, the TV didn't work. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have no sense of smell.

Fairly priced accommodations. The one thing that confused me is that it said all rooms are no smoking, but our room smelled like smoke when we first walked in. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Check-in was very easy, the property was clean, and there was plenty of parking. I didn’t test the Wi‑Fi this stay, but it worked fine during previous visits. The main downside was comfort—especially the bed. The mattress wasn’t very comfortable, and the blankets and pillows felt very minimal. Because of that, I don't think I’d stay here again, even just for sleep. The room did include a microwave and fridge, but there wasn’t much space besides the large bed. Also worth noting: the nearby train was very noisy throughout the night, though I realize that isn’t the hotel’s fault.

The listing said "remodeled". Some things had been upgraded. Many things were not..... Dirty grout. Chipped old mirror. Very small and dark bathroom with very small shower stall. The heating unit worked ok, but cycled off and on all night instead of maintaining a steady comfortable temperature. The TV was a decent size. The pictures of the room were deceiving.... I will not stay here again. See comments above. It was a decent room for the price.

We were told to park elsewhere because of the spot was reserved for another customer for two nights? Since when do customers get reserved parking and no one didn't park there for two nights, the room was to small and damp, the manager went into our room without our permission we were also told we were loud while we slept through the night tired from work, we were threatened to have our stuff taken out of the room after our agreement of paying for two more nights when we had gotten of from work we were also charged an additional 50$ for being accused of cooking in the room when we were not which I am taking up with bank

Good value for money and the staff/management do a good job and really care. Be aware that the train tracks are close so you'll hear the trains fairly frequently. But that'll be true of almost every other place in Flagstaff!

This place was convenient! It was clean and I slept very well, very quiet even though on a somewhat busy street. I was able to park right in front of my room which i absolutely love being able to do! Would stay again if I’m ever passing through.

Liked to frozen.Was 62 in the room. Even though the temperature was set on 78, the heater only showed 72 in the morning. The floors were cold and do not think there is heat in the bathroom. Would not stay here again.

I really wanted to like the property because it's reminiscent of old west motor inns. The rooms were clean and mostly comfortable, but dated. It is also right next to the train line which is busy, but I loved that. It's convenient being right off hwy 66. The only improvements I can see would be to update some furniture and get better linens and towels. Honestly good sheets and towels make up for a lot! I felt safe, it was very convenient and I slept well. The employee at the front desk was timely and friendly and there is coffee in the morning. A little TLC would promote this place a lot, it has character! That being said if you want to stay at a motor inn like they did in the 60s and 70s this is your gig!

I got here and I don’t expect it to be one story but that’s fine! I called to see what their price was for a one bedroom. It was maybe 10-15 dollars more. So I was like okay Expedia it is! I took a look around. Seems quant and quiet. I looked at the bed and noticed the mattress cover was covered with stains and the sheets had a few hairs one looked a lil sus. I called and told the front desk about it. She asked if I wanted new blankets and sheets. I said yes. I slept good after. The bathroom had plenty of soap and shampoo. No conditioner though; which was fine I just stayed one night anyways. They had a blow dryer and ironing table as well as the stated refrigerator and microwave. I don’t use the tv just personal preference and the heater worked really well. The pillows were comfortable as well. Checkout is at 11 am. There were plenty of places nearby. Fry’s has, goodwill, fry’s of course and some other places. There is a train near by but it didn’t bother me much. I barely heard it once before I fell asleep. Overall, a good stay. I felt safe knowing they are in plain sight from the rooms and I felt safe overall in my room.

Relax Inn was the prefect stopover on my road trip. The room was clean, bedding perfect, and room fridge and microwave were very convenient. The staff was very friendly. There was morning coffee available in the lobby and an ice machine to refill my cooler :). Also very conveniently located near oldtown Flagstaff, which is very cute.

Clean room. Comfortable. Walked to Starbucks about 2 blocks away. Near interstate. Gas, groceries, and food close by. Friendly staff. Only downside is it is located across the street from train tracks that are very busy. Was a little loud but didn't disturb my sleep.

The room was average for its price—not bad, but nothing special. However, the bathroom was quite poor. It is small and not well-maintained. The shower tray was old with yellowed sealant, and the showerhead’s water flow was excessively strong, which not only wasted water but also made it inconvenient to use. The small window's blind next to the bathroom couldn’t be fully closed, so it made the room very bright in the morning.

Had a wet towel hanging on the inside bathroom door, Sink was dirty, fitted sheet kept popping off all night. There’s trains that pass by right across the street from the hotel.

Nextdoor occupants talking and laughing loudly outside our room at 2:00 a.m. for 30 minutes. Trains going by every 10 minutes all night long. Price was right, though.

Great motel off of rt. 66. It was redone nicely. The bed was large and comfortable, the shower was hot. Nice toiletries and the room was small, but the perfect size for one couple to spend the night, would recommend.

Hotel room looked a whole lot bigger on the internet than it really was it was rather small not a lot of frills and the train went by constantly front desk was courteous and friendly but I would not probably stay there ever again

Overall I would stay at this place again. The room seemed like an effort is made to keep it decent. The king bed room is small about the size of an average bedroom. The bed is firm. The only bad thing is the bathroom vent fan draws in sewer gasses from the shower drain. That tells me the p trap is leaking.

I was very surprised at how the room was good. It is updated and very clean. The staff was pleasant and gave us extra pillows. The outside looks kinds of not good but the rooms are updated and very comfortable. Quiet and comfortable if you are on the road.

The place is cute and cozy. You can tell they have put a lot of work into renovating the motel. The cleaning product smell was way too strong for me but I’m sensitive to scents. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. But my boyfriend thought it was great. All a matter of what you prefer. The floors???? They were so dirty!! My feet were black from just walking around the room. It was disgusting. So be aware of that.

We found an inexpensive Motel in flagstaff. We have stayed in very nice hotels and budget motels. This one is a gem. Nice room, great location, very friendly staff. The place was clean, a little dated but that is not always a bad thing. We will be back.

The price was right, and the service was good. The room was clean and well-equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, cable tv, and free wifi and parking. The location was conveniently located to everything. However, the noise from the constant trains going by (day and night) was simply too much for me to get any sleep, so we had to check-out early. This is not their fault, as several nearby motels experienced the very same thing. So, I do not blame the noise from the trains on the motel. If they were located away from the trains, this would be the best motel to stay in.

This was a nice, clean, comfortable stay. The room was quite clean, minus a little hair left in shower. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. The area was pretty quiet.

Rooms where clean and nice. Property grounds were not kept up very well. Phone didn't work. Hand soap was the size of a quarter. Office smelled like Curry. No WIFI. Ice machine worked good. Office personnel never went over anything.

Needed a nice, affordable place to stay for the night. I was driving solo, so didn't need anything extravagant. This fit the bill perfectly. After reading some really good reviews, I decided this was the place for me. I will stay here again if I am ever in Flagstaff

This is an older property with updated rooms; it is located close to the railroad which ran throughout the night. There is no in room coffee maker, although it was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator.

It was a short overnight stay. Room was clean, bed comfy, microwave and refrigerator worked good. I would stay here again.

Had a good rating on expedia and convenient. But the room appeared to be quite old and not to par for the good ratings. Staff was friendly but the rules! Either they were ripped off by a a group or had heard rumors. Should have paid more and stayed closer to town

The Good - Good hot water - Parking in front of room - Cheap - Windows opened - Renovated (sort of) - Free ICE The Bad - Maid service never showed up in 3 days. - Blamed no maid service on us because the door tag kept blowing off. - Mildew in shower - Window in shower had cobwebs - Hair on pillow - WIFI barley worked- locked up. - Cable channels were all commercials - Bed was a concoction of memory foam and spring mattress - Our car alarm went off 3 times. Someone trying door. - Rude people. Blame you for their shortcomings. - Construction going on behind room - Train noise all night - No chairs or desk. Nothing to sit on. - Free coffee was worse than dishwater - Mountain View??? Maybe standing on the roof - Deluxe Room 200 sq ft maybe 150

This unassuming hotel was exceptionally clean inside and outside. There was more than enough parking. Lovely places to sit in the shade. Checkin was very easy and pleasant. Notable was the very comfortable bed. Given the class of hotel, it was not surprising that a little wear and tear was present. That said, it did NOT affect our stay and was outshined by everything else, which was excellent.

Comfort and quiet

Comfortable bed, clean room, easy check in and check out, morning coffee station was nice. Just be aware that if you get one of the rooms close to the road (I was in 104) the traffic and constant trains will be LOUD, and the AC unit is as well. So if you’re sound sensitive, bring earplugs. Otherwise a great budget stay.

Loved the quaintness and outside room entrance so you can unload easily to your room. Room is very nice with a small couch for suitcase or sitting, large end tables and outlets above both for charging phones and putting other things there. Loved the walk-in shower. Great location

The beds were a bit too firm for my liking and I wish I'd brought my own pillow. The trains run just across the street. The rooms are pretty small but it met our needs just fine.

Great for a cheap simple, no-frills hotel to sleep in. The room was clean, king size bed was decently comfortable, and the location was right off the main road. You will hear the train that's across the street as it passes, but outside of that, great for a basic overnight stay.

Near traintracks, view of parking lot. Older building but furnishings and shower have been updated. No tub, non issue for us, but mentioning if you have young kids.

Room was clean. The bed was hard as a rock. Refrigerator was uneven and rocked back and forth.

Very small room but clean & efficient. Located right on Rt 66 & railroad but surprisingly quiet.

Old-timey one-story motels are my favorites. Relax Inn did not disappoint. The gentleman (owner?) was very friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. What else does one need?! My only suggestion is to have a slightly longer shower curtain.

Another great stay at my refuge from the excessive heat in Phoenix! Everything was perfect for my stay and the owner is always very friendly and on top of things, ensuring guests have a pleasant and restful experience!

Very well kept property -- clean, pleasing to look at with trash bins, ice machine that works, little laundry room and a picnic table with seats.

I liked it was close to nearby areas (like Fry's and Buffalo Park).

The noise from the road and especially the rairoad made it impossible to sleep! There were also ants in the bathroom.

The room is small , but super clean and comfortable. Perfect for spending the night after a long travel day .Affordable and cute and really clean .

KY to CA. It was clean, the staff were nice, and the room looked newly updated. The room was small, however, and it is right by a railroad that runs along Historic Route 66, but the train noise did not affect my sleep personally. Also, bcz it’s a smaller, one story motel, I got to park right in front of my room, which was very nice.

Didn’t like anything stayed because of the no refund policy. Based odd very dirty in bathroom. Bedding/sheets. Noisy beds. Could hear people talking in next room. Only one trash can. Uneven floors.

We visit Flagstaff regularly - this was our first time staying at the Relax Inn and we will come back! The king size bed was comfortable, the property was clean and tidy, and the room was comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. A great value too.
