The only downside is, the driveway is directly on a busy street corner. You can get in the back way, but it's through dirt. If you want to leave the hotel and turn right on the main road, it can be a problem.

Great location and within walking distance to various restaurants, etc. Hotel was kind enough to accommodate my request for outside 120V power. Safe, clean and comfortable accommodations.

This isi a basic hotel but it met my needs in Flagstaff. It is walking distance to the historical downtown. The room was dated but everything was clean and in good working order. It is on a busy corner with lots of traffic noise though, so if you are a light sleeper you might not feel comfortable here.

Basic room in a quiet motor inn. Breakfast not provided. Good value unless you are counting on that Hotel Waffle.

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were smaller than many motels but I just assumed it was probably built a while ago since it is on the original Route 66 and people didn't bring as much stuff as we do today. The location was perfect-we could walk to some restaurants but we chose to drive to one a short drive away. Galaxy Diner is a fun place to eat. The hotel was clean, quiet, and beds were comfortable. The man behind the desk when we checked in was very helpful concerning the best way to get to the Grand Canyon and had some suggestions of other things to do while we were there. Bottom line, I would stay here again.

The price can't be beat, I was worried about the quality of the room at this price point but was quite happy once we entered the room. Sure it's dated and in need of refreshing/upgrading but for a basic stay you can't beat the price and location. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was exceptionally clean. There was plenty of parking but it didn't seem there were a lot of customers the night I stayed here. There are no amenities (pool, breakfast, etc.) but there are plenty of food establishments within walking distance. I have stayed here before this trip and will again.

This motel may look older, but the inside was one of the cleanest motels I’ve ever been in. Even the curtains were ironed and pressed perfectly.

The price was very affordable, and while our room was simple, it felt cozy and welcoming. The beds were comfortable, and the room was exceptionally clean—one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed. We even saw the family out sweeping the parking lot by hand, which shows how much care they put into maintaining the property. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this motel to others.

Not a lot of style or amenities, but the price is unbeatable and it meets all our needs. This is our second stay, we will definitely be back!

Good location, just a few minutes walk from the historic city center with abundant resturants, cafes and shopping opportunities. The room (double w two queen size beds) was large and comfortable. The availability of a washer and a drier was also nice. There is a 2$ fee for the use of the washer and dryer. Not too bad, we just didn't expect it

Overall, though, I had a very comfortable stay. The town was already small, so it was possible to reach everywhere on foot. The Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend are both about a 2-hour drive away.

The staff were very helpful. The room was spacious, practical, and clean. However, it was freezing cold. There was an air conditioner that provided heating, but it was extremely noisy. Overall, though, I had a very comfortable stay. The town was already small, so it was possible to reach everywhere on foot. The Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend are both about a 2-hour drive away.

This is not a fancy place at all, but what it does do, it does very well. The shower is great, the rooms are very clean and seem well insulated, and the bed is comfortable. We'd see the owner out sweeping and tidying things up. They care. It is very conveniently located to leave your car and walk to downtown or the campus. There is no breakfast service, but breakfast is easy to walk to. Natural Groceries is right across the street, and a coffee shop is adjacent.

Staff were very nice, amenities were great! I did not expect that the quality of the shampoo, conditioner and lotion (small, single-use size containers, not wall dispensed) would be so much better than the ones I get from 3-4 star hotels! Keurig coffee maker and newer LG TV, towels were fluffy white and clean, likely new or replaced often. NGL, i expected rough thin towels, so this is much appreciated! I liked the shower head, the water pressure was perfect! The beds were comfortable and the whole room was clean, bathroom is nicely updated. I slept well and did not hear the busy street noise! I will definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area. It may seem small and dated on the outside but its definitely a great place to stay. No free breakfast but I knew that in making the reservation because we had planned to leave early anyway and wouldn't be able to avail of it. Highly recommended!

The high rating for this motel in my opinion, is inconsistent with the condition and comfort level. It’s a roll of the dice with this place. The basics may work or they may be broken and noisy.

Manish was always available to deal with any questions or concerns. He was polite, courteous and accommodating (as best he could be). It was perfect for our needs. (If you're looking for a pool, a gym, breakfast - pay more and go to a branded property.) If they installed "smart" tvs in the rooms, guests could watch programs using their existing accounts with the streaming services.

Walking distance to downtown and has a great coffee shop next door. We have been staying here for tge past 10 years on our roadtrips, and it is a great stop after a long ride.

The Inn is a little dated, but well maintained. Our room was very clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. It was very close to old town Flagstaff. It was surprisingly quiet, being close to a busy road. It was a good value for the money. The shower was good and lots of hot water. The fan in the bathroom came on when you turned the light on, and it was really loud.

We have stayed here a few times. A very reasonably priced hotel in the area! Heat and hot water were great. Very quiet place and the Matador coffee shop is co convenient for all day refills and breakfast burritos . My only complaint is the loud bathroom fan turning on everytime you turn the light on.

The property is old but was clean; however fitted sheet on one of the beds had blood and stains on it, so we had to remove the sheet and we slept on the bare mattress.

On motorcycle trip ... nice level parking near the room; although there is a steep ride from the street to the office (which is level).

For a hotel in the heart of Flagstaff, you can't go wrong with a stay here. We've stayed multiple times and will happily return again. It's a great place to use as a home base for all of your Northern Arizona adventures.

The owner was gracious enough to have our room ready earlier than the normal. The room was clean, neat, and very adequate. It was quiet in the evening. We were allowed to leave one car there before we checked in as we wanted to do some hiking early in the day. Would recommend to anyone.

The only downside to this property is it CAN be difficult to get out of the parking lot to turn left because the entrance is so close to the intersection. You MAY have to go right and up the road a bit to turn around and turn left at the light. Be sure to leave enough time when doing so. We didn't have a significant problem, but it could be one at certain times. Lovely property, staff, location and price. We will return the next time we go to Flagstaff to attend an event.

We had comfortable stay and property is convenient for visiting flagstaff.

For $97 a night on a brief stop on Flagstaff it was perfect. Right near Old Town

While the property is updated, it is still a motel, so keep that in mind. The concrete is tired and so are the sinks and tub, but not off-putting. If your are looking for a great place to lie down at night, this is the right place. If you're looking for luxury and a lot of amenities, go to a hotel. I will definitely stay here again when passing through Flagstaff.

we wanted to check out the Lowell observatory and the downtown Flagstaff area on an overnight stop. We got personal recommendations at the front desk, and walked the neighborhood easily. Very good Thai dinner, then the Lowell night tour was a quick drive up the mountain. Rooms were in great condition, very clean and comfy. Coffee shop next door was a big plus in the morning.

Easy parking right outside my room. Room was clean. Close to the highway & lots of stores & restaurants. Bonus that it's across the street from a great natural food store & next to a coffee shop. I'd definitely stay here again.

Easy clean and quick

Very cute cozy little inn. We were very comfortable for the night. Soap, shampoo and conditioner, lotion, and makeup wipes were in the room for us. As well as a hair dryer. The room was pre warmed which was much appreciated! We would stay again.

Rooms were like a typical motel, but the AC was particularly loud in both rooms in contrast to many other places. We were also disgusted that the floors were so dirty that our child had black soles after walking from bed to door. Washed his feet because we thought they must have just been dirty and he got black feet again from the nasty floor.

The Inn was very clean, quiet and convenient to many restaurants. I’d highly recommend staying here and as a bonus visit Brandy’s Cafe for breakfast.

I stay here often, consistently clean and pleasant... Easy walk to Downtown, shopping and restaurants. We often park and don't drive again until we leave if we're not leaving Flagstaff. I have been coming for years and always have a good stay.

This is always a great place to stay in Flag. Clean, reasonable, and the people that are at the front office are always extremely nice and efficient.

Great location just blocks from downtown Flagstaff & right across the street from Northern Arizona University. Price was very reasonable. The parking lot is small & a bit congested, but I was able to find a spot without an issue. The room was comfortable & suitable for a short-term stay. I would stay here again.

It is just a well-kept property. I don’t usually stay in motels because so many of them are unkempt. However, the owners obviously care here.

The management was very responsive. The room is pretty small with little room for bags and unpacking. The bathroom is also small. No maid service during the stay. it is in a very hip part of town and lots to do and see nearby. Lots of very good restaurants and night life!

Basic motel room. Staff were so kind. If you just need somewhere to sleep, this is perfect and also behind an awesome coffee shop. You can easily walk to NAU.

Very reasonable, clean and friendly

This property is showing its age somewhat. The accommodation was very adequate. There is quite a set of stairs to access the office which is difficult for the less mobile traveler. The property is a bit difficult to enter from the road. That said, it was a good value for the price, and the bed was good.

We had prepaid two nights but left after one.

Place was great. Staff was awesome and rooms were clean. Historic downtown was maybe a 10 minute walk. It is right off the highway so there is road noisy, but the ac pretty much drowns it out. Would stay again.

Quick and pleasant check in, clean room with plenty of towels, and so conveniently located to fun day and nightlife shops and restaurants. About 30 minutes to the Arizona Snowbowl too. Will stay here again when I come back to Flagstaff!

Great location & value

A nice clean room and a very comfortable bed. It’s an older, quiet property that has been very well updated. The room has a fridge, microwave and coffee/tea maker as well as the usual TV — everything you would need as a base for a hiking or sightseeing trip. No restaurant but LOTS of walkable choices for eating, drinking, and entertainment as it is near NAU. Historic downtown also in easy walking distance. Not luxurious but also not luxuriously priced. Perfect. We’ll definitely return.

All good! Convenient

This is a simple, no frills but very clean and very comfortable place to stay. I love the laminate floors because it makes everything feel so clean. Just fyi- This is a motel and there is no elevator to the second floor. We were very comfortable after 11 hours of driving. Woke up refreshed and ready to face a new day of driving. Also, it is located near many restaurants and shopping. There is a coffee shop right next door.

A very good, clean, friendly independent motel in walking distance of downtown Flagstaff. It's still an inexpensive motel, so don't have expectations of grandeur, but if like us you just want a decent place to lay your head in a convenient location, this is what you're looking for.

The beds were the most comfortable beds on our trip! The room was simply furnished but immaculately clean and wifi connection was very good. The coffee shop near the property was excellent also and had food items as well as great coffee!

Highland Country Inn is a great hotel for a stay in Flagstaff. The newly renovated rooms are comfortable and clean. It is within walking distance to most places in central Flagstaff. The family that own the property are great.

This inn is conveniently located near downtown Flagstaff with a fantastic coffee shop right next door. We loved the ease of walking to all the restaurants and bars in downtown Flagstaff. The room was a good size and clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was equipped with all the amenities to enhance our stay, including a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and pods, TV, and additional bathroom essentials. The friendly and kind staff made our experience even better. We would happily stay here again.

Noise. There was a compressor like sound nearby the room going on and off all nighr. Rest was fine.

The AC was a bit noisy.
