The room was very clean with kitchenette, which was a plus, microwave and Fridge. The security is top notch using access code every entrance including elevator vestibule. I will definitely book again. Close to several activities including State Theater. We went to Legwarmer's concert. They could use some nice smelling room spray to keep room fresh. Clean but smell like has not been occupied for sometimes.

Bed was very comfy carpets and couches need an update. There were a bunch of guests using the grill and drinking a lot that were rowdy the night I was there. It fulfilled the need for a well located affordable place to stay and could use some updates

They had a clean room with staff who were kind. Their kitchen was stocked. We did have an issue with our room, so we called, but both times they put us on hold and hung up on us. So that wasn't pleasant. Besides that, parking was cheap, and it was all good.

However, I had called to request a new kitchen towel, paper towel and bed sheets and that was where my disappointment lies. I first called and I was told that I would get it after an hour because they were doing laundry. I totally get it. An hour and 30mins go by and nothing. I called again, I got the the SAME response. “They just started a new load, you’ll get it in an hour.” The associate tried to even reassure me and said that they’ll call me before delivering it to me themselves. Okay. Thank you….. Another almost 2 hours go by and nothing. I called in AGAIN and at this point I was like “I will simply go get it myself from the office.” I get there and I was able to get more bed sheets and paper towels but the the kitchen towels still weren’t done? That was so confusing and a bit frustrating. Needless to say I was stuck with the same kitchen towel for the week I stayed there because even after that, I still didn’t get a new kitchen towel. Only other thing I can kind of complain about it how easily it is to hear the neighbors on the other side of the wall if there a door connecting the two. But honestly that isn’t too big of a deal.

Unfortunately, the bathroom sink and kitchen, inside drovers were not thoroughly cleaned, and the floor showed some dry food.

Laminate floors were coming apart and room was missing linens and toilet paper.

Staff was great, Kitchen was great and parking was fine. Only minor complaint in the room is the bath sink is in the living area as you walk into the room. Having to view cosmetics, etc. as you enter the room was not ideal but hey we were there for 1 night. Nice easy walk to Red line Diner but wouldn't recommend ordering the high end menu items. Particularly the steak. Diner was really cool and expansive as well as menu (maybe too many things for Chefs to do a great job).

The room was fine in terms of amenities and cleanliness, but the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and the AC didn't work reliably. The room price was high due to significant demand on hotels in the area; would have been good value for the normal price.

Everything was great, to include cleanlines, location, quiet. I would stay here again. Many kudos to the general manager of this hotel for his knowledge, professionalism and genuine care for the guest comfort and convenience. No complaints.

Lobby was not good. Exterior of building dirty, needs maintenance. . Room was as expected. Clean, comfortable bed, spacious room. Walls are paper thin, no soundproof between rooms. Rate it a 7.5 overall

The kitchen was not fully equipped for any type of cooking even though it was mentioned in the listing, so we ended up having to go out to eat for almost every meal. There is also no continental breakfast and morning coffee ends way too early. Our room also did not have Netflix or any other type of streaming services available, so the receptionist came to fix it in our room since the IT guy was not working. While the receptionist was friendly, this was just such an inconvenience as we had a long trip planned. Later on when we needed the receptionist again, he was nowhere to be found because the property only has 1 person working at any given time, so you better be prepared to wait for almost 30 minutes if you need help. Just horrible.

Accommodation were excellent and the staff were amazing, friendly and very welcoming. Only down size was the pillows were not my favorite part, I had to purchase 2 body pillows for myself and spouse.

Great space and good job in the renovation but it is starting to show signs of customer abuse. There were always men hanging around outside whenever we went in and out. A couple men were smoking pot in the morning. We didn't feel unsafe but this was a little concerning. Parking is a little tight but you could find spots where there were fewer vehicles.

Staff was amazing and welcoming. Made us feel a part of a family and offer other resources and answered our questions. I would give especially the front desk staff 10 stars.. Scott, Malik and Mathias were over the top friendly and accommodating.

The only reason I stay here is because of the incredible staff. They are top-notch at every level. Sadly, in my five years of staying at this hotel on and off, it has dropped significantly. Poorly maintained, dirty parking lots, the hallways are dirty just an overall feeling of aging and neglect. Not to mention the rooms, especially on the first floor have paper walls. You can hear every bump every foot every noise from above.

Simple, safe and relatively clean hotel, right near the centre of Falls Church. Value for money is the name of the game here, as there are other nearby hotels charging more for similar facilities. if it still did breakfast (it used to do when owned by Marriot), it would be fantastic value for money.

The rates were good. Staff was friendly and let us know where everything was located. The kitchenette came in handy saving money on food. Guest food trash left in hallway for over 24 hrs.

Overall, the right choice for an apartment style accommodation, it was convenient, with places to eat nearby. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well done. The only negatives were the couch was a little spent, and the bathroom was tight. But, that would not keep me from staying there again. It was well worth the cost.

Billing was confusing. Although I knew an additional charge of $100 was levied as an incidental charge for each room, It did not show up as a separate charge. Each room was billed at the room rate plus $100. Then each room was billed at the room rate only. So for a few days it appeared that I was billed twice for each room. Eventually, the first higher billing appears to have been removed (a few days). But I will still have to check my credit card transactions for a few days to make sure all is as it should be.

We went there because it was close to the state Theatre in Falls Church. It was five minutes away from the venue. The rooms are spacious. The full kitchen is really nice. Property felt very safe and the staff was excellent. We will definitely stay there again.

At midnight, someone placed a metal rod under the door and tried to unlock the door from the inside and gain entry into my room. This was supposedly an employee of the hotel who didn't knock or acknowledge their presence prior to jimmying the lock. I will never stay at this hotel again.

This is a hidden gem. Very close to Tysons Corner VA.

The staff is always spectacular at this hotel. I’ve stayed here over 30 times in the last two years and no matter who is at the front desk, they are incredible. Management should be rewarded for hiring and training great people. Not to mention, honoring those in those roles.

I stayed at Sonesta Suites in Falls Church, VA and had a great experience. The room was very clean and smelled fresh when I arrived. The lobby had items although they were limited in selection. -People above us were loud foot-wise, stomping, loud thumps randomly. We loved staying there and are looking forward to staying again if we get the chance to see DC again.

while the whole staff was helpful, cordial, kind and made you feel welcome; however, there was a staff member at the front desk that was the total opposite of all the things i mentioned about how great the staff are. she was cold, rude, stuck-up, always gave bad looks and didn't give you the time of day. she is a middle-aged, mixed African American woman with orange dyed hair and wears pantsuits. i wasn't sure if it was just towards me but one person or other people that's not the way you treat clients/guests at your job. that is the ONLY complaint. otherwise everything else was close to perfect. i want to give a special thanks to Amy from the front desk. to say she was hospitable and supportive is an understatement. The rooms are an okay size. They are a little cramped and the door hits the furniture if you open it all the way. They have a fold out couch but didnt have and pillows to go with it. The "full kitchen'' is about the size of an RV kitchen and has no pots and pans. You have to check them out at the front desk and bring them back when you're done. The wifi moves at a glacial speed and when we were there the internet went out all together and we couldn't stream any tv. They do have a laundry room but its in a super inconvenient location. In the middle of the second floor of the main building so its a bit of a trek to get to it if your room is anywhere else. They have hundreds of guests and 1 place for laundry, which wouldnt have been such a big issue bc they have 2 washers and 3 dryers. But only 1 washer and dryer worked so if another guest leaves their clothes in too long then youre up a creek. They have 2 outdoor grills to use but only one of them worked and only half of it at that. They are pet friendly and many people have their doggos walking around (but if you dont like dogs then you're 100% the problem lol) its in a great area and only about 20 mins or so to all the DC attractions. Its walking distance to coffee and grocery stores. Theres lots of historic stuff to look at nearby as well. (Pictured below is the half stove lol)

I was very happy with my choice. The room was clean, clean, clean! I was very impressed. The sheets smelled wonderful and it was a pleasure to fall asleep in that bed. The room had a couch, as well as a nice desk area with lights and mirror above…a great spot to do your hair and make-up. The kitchen was fully equipped with every appliance, even a stove and oven. Again, every appliance squeaky clean. Scott, the manager and Malik at the front desk were wonderful. Both were helpful, warm and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again. If I had planned better/sooner, I would have stayed a couple extra days and taken in the sights in DC as access to DC is very easy from this location. If you ever need to stay in the Falls Church/DC area, I recommend you stay here. You won’t be disappointed!

The housekeeping said “the room is not scheduled for the cleaning today. They are following a cleaning schedule”. I was so upset I went to talk to receptionist and showed him the photo. Thankfully, he called the housekeeping dept to clean the room.

We have always thought this was a well-located and competitively-priced option when we stay in Northern VA. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Very easy access to both Washington airports and route 495 and 66. Falls Church is an interesting and walkable city.

The staff was very helpful, accomodating. We have stayed at this Sonesta 3 times and usually for at least 4 to 5 days at a time and we are always happy here. Great hotel!

Worst night of sleep at a hotel in my life. My husband was having surgery at a local hospital and we are from out of town, so we thought staying overnight and close would be a good choice. Not a good choice. Dogs barked every hour for 20 minutes at a time. No hot water for the morning shower. Just not a great experience.

Our only big issue was PM parking. The parking lot was always full of trucks, parked across multiple spaces so every night we either went without parking or had to squeeze into spots - we talked to other guests who were equally frustrated. The staff were understanding but it was outside their control. Also, the corridors smell of smoke so I’m guessing people are smoking in the rooms. If you’re not bothered by the smell of smoke then it’s not an issue.

It was an average stay. It would have been nice to have hooks in the bathroom and wash areas. There was also no hand soap in the wash area near the bathroom as well as a place to hang a hand towel. I had to open one of the drawers to serve as place to hang a hand towel. The door hinge of the smaller room was out of place so we were afraid to close the door thinking it may get dislodged. It would also be nice to have a water pitcher with a filter. Oh and also a rubber mat for the bath tub will be ideal especially for seniors like us to prevent from slipping while showering. The bathroom tissue was a bit rough for my liking. Preferable to have waste baskets in both rooms. I know the shampoo, conditioner and body wash are just perks but I have been to other hotels where they were amazing. The ones you have are pretty basic in my opinion, nothing to brag about. So all in all it was just an average stay. The one thing that I truly liked was the front office lady who was very welcoming and explained everything to me and the cleaning staff that we met on our way to our room were pretty friendly and always had a smile on their faces!

Location is good , with a couple of nice coffee shops nearby. The metro station is not walkable though. Parking at night was a little hard to come by because there were some big construction trucks parked.

Suite always seemed to smell like either cigarette smoke or marijuana and also especially in the hallways. Mouse droppings were found under the kitchen sink and actual live mouse was found on a mouse trap under the kitchen sink. Manager was quick to respond to above situation and promptly refunded our stay.

Absolutely loved staying here and will be returning again in the fall! It was so lovely to be able to walk around the community, in safety and convenience. Plus the room was super clean and cozy!

Staff was very accommodating to arrange for adjoining rooms with family. Rooms clean and recently updated. Kitchen could use more supplies of dishes and utensils. Walls aren’t very soundproof if you are unfortunate to have an inconsiderate neighbor but staff helpful to get volume dropped when notified.

The suites are great. Super value for cost. Parking lot had a few “vehicles” that looked left for a while. Otherwise, great price point value

The front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. The room was terrific: very comfortable bed, good desk and sitting areas, and full kitchen stocked with essential dishware. The only negative was occasional loud noise directly above our room as if furniture was being moved. I would definitely stay again and will look for Sonesta Simply Suites elsewhere when traveling.

You know it's a surprisingly enjoyable stay. I was really just going mainly on price when I booked it but the rooms were more comfortable than expected and the most impressive thing was that it was just very quiet. The front desk was pleasant and easy to work with. I'll absolutely stay here next time I'm in DC on the business trip

My stay was more than I expected. It was one ofvthe nicest hotels that I have ever stayed in. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great staff, large room with full kitchen.

The two bedroom suite is very nice, spacious, has separate closets in each room, separate toilet/shower room from the sink. The mini kitchen is well appointed.

This hotel always provides the best service but this trip was above and beyond. Due to the snow, I arrived early and they allowed me to check in without an additional fee. The front desk staff is wonderful and always helpful. What made this trip above and beyond was during my stay I went down to the lobby to get fresh coffee. While preparing my coffee I made a mess on the counter and offered to clean it but they took care of it for me, which was kind enough, I then took my two hot cups, turned around, and spilled them all over everything. I stood there with my head hung low and the young man behind the desk said please do not worry, it happened and he jumped up, grabbed towels, and helped me clean it all up. I was mortified and he was so kind and calming. It is an act I will never forget.

This renovated hotel doesn’t look great from the outside, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The gym is better than average and the parking is more than adequate. I liked this part of Falls Church for the bars and restaurants close by. Front desk is friendly and helpful.

It was good while I was there with my girlfriend. It’s really nice inside very clean. I’ve been there twice and will definitely go there again. But y’all should add a little better coffee and more salt and sugar. Other than that everything is amazing.

The front desk team at this hotel, no matter what hour of the day or night is wonderful. I have a tendency to lose every card they give me and have never complained or charged a fee for replacing them. They are always warm, friendly and welcoming.

The property itself is fine. It’s been masked with upgrades. Some of the staff great, some not. We had a reservation for four people but for some reason they never saw it fit to leave towels/washcloths for four people. I always had to go ask for another set.

Beautiful and modern and special room. Great size kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals. Also generous size TV. My family really enjoyed the stay and would have stayed longer if parking was free.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Sonesta in Falls Church. It is not far from many great and popular spots but, it may be more convenient to rent a car if you plan to travel into DC often. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was very nice and clean. My only negative comment is that the building/hallways has a pretty unpleasant smell. It may be from so many people having pets.

Other than that it was very nice 10/10. The room was nice and spacious. I loved the cute little stove, very convenient to cook and put food in the oven. The beds were clean comfortable. The bathroom was nice and clean. The room didn't have a weird smell, very fresh. Would definitely stay here again!!!!!

Nice area location

I have stayed at this hotel many times for business, and it is always wonderful. In particular, on this trip, I arrived several hours early and asked if I could store my luggage until check-in time. The lovely front desk agent said, "No, let me check you in to your room now, and at no extra cost." I was able to get several hours of work done from the sanctuary of my room. They always go above and beyond.

Thé property is excellent . However, the carpets are very old and they stink, there is strong bad smell from the carpets, specially in the hallways, that will contaminate your clothes. The carpets need to be changed, otherwise the hotel is excellent.

There's no pool or hot tub or breakfast, no amenities so very basic. I'd never stay at a Sonesta Suites again, the beds are hard and terrible, even the pillows were very flat.

I stayed here years ago for the same reason I stayed here last month, to attend shows at the State Theater. Great location, plenty of food options nearby, very quiet and clean.

Good location with many food, grocery, and other services for extended stays. Multi-bedroom suites have everything for families or larger parties to spread out. Could be kept slightly cleaner and kitchen amenities should be improved on but overall a good hotel.

Walking distance to the State Theater. $5.00 parking. I don't much care for a 3-5 business day hold on a $100 incidentals authorization, but it is what it is. I wouldn't have used my visa debit card for that had I known. I would stay here again if attending a concert.

My only issue was that the person who stayed above me had lead feet and at times I could hear them walk around- which would wake me up early in the morning. They also had a child staying in the room for a period of time - which was a nightmare at first. But the young man at the front desk offered to speak with them, or allow me the option of another room. Luckily, he was able to speak to the other guests, and noise from the child running around was remedied quickly. I very much appreciated that! Kuddos to the desk staff.

Good staff and exellent location. Only complaint was getting warm water in the bathroom sink. Otherwise it was just what we needed.
