Reviews
The hotel reviews indicate a mix of positive and negative experiences. Guests generally appreciate the friendly staff and convenient location, but express dissatisfaction with cleanliness, ongoing renovations, and breakfast options.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Convenient location
- Poor cleanliness and maintenance
- Ongoing renovations causing discomfort

I love it
- 5/5
The beds are more comfortable than mine at home. The exterior is very well lit at night.
- 5/5
No noise and close to stores and the interstate N/A
- 2.5/5
Close to my friends home Unable to have a full 24 hour day
- 4/5
Breakfast was very limited and dining area wasn't often cleaned.
- 1.5/5
Coffee was pretty good. The desk clerk was nice. I booked a king size bed with a sleep sofa. Didn’t realize until my son decided to go to bed, it was not a sleep sofa. Thankful we brought the air mattress. The room had a musty smell. The desk clerk told me that Choice Hotels was getting rid of sleep sofa’s. If that was the case; sheets, a blanket and pillow should have been provided. Told him the website needs to change the information. Unfortunately, he cannot make the change.
- 1/5
They did not have the room we booked available and refused to upgrade us so we had to move the next day. Front desk manager would not help not even try to find an appropriate solution. He refused to pick up the phone when Expedia called. Said he could not return email. We had a king suite and we could not even see the tv from the bed. Stains on bottom of mattress and stains on the top of the sheets. Not a good experience.
- 2/5
We were woken up at 2:30 am by a horrible load screech followed by a bang. It was our AC unit that didn’t work after that. Wasn’t able to fall back to sleep so woke my family up to leave and head home. When I told the front desk at checkout he was unfazed and just said “oh sorry”. I was too tired to fight or argue at that point. This was our first time staying there, we usually stay nearby at a different place but figured we’d try a new spot. We will not back here again
- 0.5/5
N/A The hotel itself was absolutely disgusting. The lobby and the rooms.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Clean and comfy room. Breakfast was great! We would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
Stain on top blanket towards the feet covered by the top "decorative" blanket . The room and facility had an unclean smell . One of the lights could trun on, but the lenses was broken.
- 3/5
Room smelled like Marijuana but was clean and the hair dryer didn't work
- 1/5
The property was good but Expedia made it difficult as the hotel never got our reservation and explained that we needed to call Expedia. After 45 min and 3 support persons it was discovered there was a double booking so they canceled our reservation and told us to book again through Expedia. No way! We booked at the hotel for the same price which was quick and easy. I'll never use Expedia again and I've been a customer for years.

Clean, newer, close to shopping Need newer carts to transport luggage to the room. Need better quality toilet paper. Would be nice to have shelves in shower to put soap and shampoo on.

Apparently there was bug bed

Check in was a disaster. The desk clerk could not find my prepaid reservation in his systen and called Expedia help desk who couldn't see the itinerary number on my email i showed him

The convenience Probably had a little bit of a bad smell
- 4/5
The staff was super friendly, check in was fast and the hotel was clean The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and the shampoo, conditioner and soap provided was poor quality and small
- 5/5
Yes, the room was spotless.
- 4.5/5
The location was perfect for my visit was with a family member close by. The one employee who runs the check in and check out as well as the breakfast area was very kind. The tv service the hotel has is mainly sports channels. I'm not a sport fan. The bathroom was repainted and the hook that was on the door, did not get replaced. My son and I went for breakfast an hour before it closed and very little had been replenished. The cooling system did not work well. It ended up being very hot inside the room at night even though outside temperatures were cold. I turned to cool air for 68 degrees and it took a while to turn on. The small refrigerator was not as cold as it should have been.
- 4.5/5
Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms.
- 4.5/5
Loved the full breakfast & they allow pets!
- 5/5
The staff were so nice and very accommodating!
- 4/5
The room was very comfortable and clean. AC/Heat unit was quiet. Breakfast was okay. No fruit, toaster wouldn't work and cereal dispensers were almost empty which made it hard to dispense. There was a waffle maker and scrambled eggs and sausage. Can't comment as we didn't try either one of them.
- 5/5
Overpriced snacks!
- 5/5
Clean, nice linens, nice bathroom towels, and last but not least their coffee is great.

I didn't stay here. The app selected the wrong date and tried to cancel but the cancellation never went through.
- 5/5
Always nuce and respectful towards me..

the room was nice and clean
- 4/5
Clean and quiet
- 5/5
Clean, looks to recently remolded, easy location
- 5/5
The breakfast was fresh. The coffee was great!
- 5/5
Among the places I have stayed in recent years, this one stands out for its exceptional quality. The rooms are remarkably clean, beautiful decore, and spacious. The breakfast offerings are extensive, providing a great start to the day. The staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. The location offers easy access to I-81, with a range of food options conveniently located nearby.
- 5/5
We loved the layout of the room and it was very clean, breakfast was pretty good and the surround area was very nice lots of businesses around
- 5/5
This place was recently remodeled and the value for the money is definitely there
- 4/5
Hotel was fine. Scary outside
- 5/5
Staff was extremely friendly
- 5/5
Excellent staff and the room was spacious and comfortable seating. It’s always nice when there are places to sit other than the bed, to read a book! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- 4/5
Nice newly update, comfortable room. Quite.
- 4/5
Room was nice bed was comfortable breakfast was nice
- 4/5
renovations were recently made and the place looked really nice. We were given the wrong room key and had to go back t o the desk for assistance. The TV came in well with extra channels from previous visits. Breakfast was not good. The sausages had gone bad!! Some things were omitted from the room, no clock, no towel bars.
- 4/5
It was fine. There was some construction from the floor above and some was in the carpet on the first floor. The beds were very comfortable. They can improve by giving more towels as we had 4 people and were only given two but when we asked for more they provided it with no issue
- 2/5
3 tiny pillows for two people asked for another and couldn’t get one. The night shift desk clerk was rude. He was talking on the phone using an ear bud non stop and was not helpful. He didn’t seem to care about the customers as much as he did his phone calls.
- 5/5
We booked our room last minute and the staff was so helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and appeared to be recently remodeled.
- 1/5
We were put into a room that smelled of smoke on a smokeless hotel. Then we found drug paraphernalia in the bathroom, blood stains on the mattress and the smoke detector was missing. We went and reported it immediately and there was no manager and they couldn’t print out our complaint. They did nothing to correct the situation or refund our money. We filed complaints with Expedia, Choice hotels and the Health Department.
- 5/5
Staff was nice, hotel was clean and quiet. Perfect for what we needed!
- 3/5
The comforter was dirty. You get What you pay for i guess
- 4/5
Excellent place to stay, very nice people, great rooms, liked the pool and it's a good quiet place
- 1/5
Second room was cleaner with all appropriate bed linens and pillows. Breakfast in the morning was very poor in options. I don't know if I would be willing to try staying here again in the future once the remodeling is finished.
- 1/5
The sheets and quilts had stains - also bed ( round, yellow, big stains ) when contacted Desk for help. They said it was hard water stains. The pillows smelled like someone else’s sweat, and the floors were not vacuumed or mopped because you can still see Food all over the place on the ground. My family and I were exhausted from a long drive and covered the pillows with our towels and laid on the bed with all of our clothes on.. our children had their own Blankey and fortunately they slept better than mom and dad. The reason I chose this location was because it was on the way. As soon as I walked in, I immediately regretted it due to the people in the front and also the condition of the luggage cart. I already knew that we were in for a treat.. I’ve stayed in hundreds if not, thousands of hotels and Airbnb’s. This was by far top five worst. I woke up with Red bites on my side and back. I don’t know if it was bedbugs, but it definitely felt like them. Will be avoiding this quality in and any other quality in in the United States due to this experience.
- 5/5
Would have liked a larger breakfast selection with milk options. Would have liked a blanket for the pull out couch. Went to breakfast before we checked out and when we returned to the room the key card had already been disabled at 8:30am. Check out is 11.
- 1/5
Seem to be doing renovations, no room numbers on doors or hallways. Placards tossed on the floor in the hallways. Main lobby dirty, hallways dirty, had a big couch in my room but too hard to sit on so it’s useless. Staff didn’t seem to care about the issues and weren’t willing to do anything about it last night or this morning. Disappointing.
- 4/5
Check in staff unfriendly. Breakfast just ok.
- 4/5
The hotel is under renovation, so things are not quite in a finished condition, but the room was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Room was updated, clean and large with double queens, bathroom was spacious, breakfast was good with hot servings. Facility is under renovation, so interior appearance was unfinished, nothing that affected the stay.
- 1/5
Where to start! They first put us in a room that smelled of cigarette smoke & pee, it was obvious someone had been staying in the room still! Check-in at the desk was dismal, no one there for at least 5 minutes and when someone did show up they were on their personal cell phone. There were no waste baskets in the room, manager said they were upgrading the hotel and all the baskets were thrown out!! When I tried to call the front desk the phone had no cord! The manager brought a cord in, but now the phone was flashing a large red light, that was distracting through the night. Breakfast was another joke! They ran out of coffee before 9AM, 1 container of milk which we borrowed from the cereal section! It was also only 2%, no other milk to be found. There were only two small container of butter for waffles and/ or your toast, 1 bagel, no danish. I can go on but you get the point. I’d like to know what happened to the “quality” in quality inn? It’s far from the commercials you see on TV!
- 4/5
This Quality In is undergoing renovations. The room was clean & renovated, but our door was misaligned. There wasn’t a toilet paper holder. The deadbolt didn’t close all the way. The TV wasn’t set up, but my husband fixed that.
- 4/5
bien
- 2/5
Clearly they are in the process of remodeling and it looks a little run down. My tv didn’t work, but the shower was nice and hot.
- 1/5
After booking online for about 100 dollars because a tree fell through my roof on Easter night, the clerk all the sudden spoke of needing an almost 300 dollar additional deposit for any amenities I may use in my giant 7-8 hour stay (got there at midnight and check-out is usually 10am). Just ridiculous in my opinion when the storm hit our area hard and it was pretty easy to see I was stressed and tired. I wasn't going to order room service or call long distance call using the hotel telephone like anybody even does that anymore. Just all around a bad vibe.
- 2/5
The check in experience was good. The hotel wasn’t busy at all. Friendly employees. The hotel itself is in really bad shape. I’m not sure if they are remodeling or what the reason is. But it is so rundown looking. The room itself was ok. Has a tub instead of just a shower stall and no shelves to put your shower items. The complimentary breakfast was practically non existent. There were no items in the cooler at all. Just dried up eggs in one warmer and sausages in the other. Some bread to make toast and that was it for food. Overall we didn’t enjoy this stay and would not return. I feel it was overpriced for the value received.
- 4/5
Room were very clean. Hallways, etc need some work but it appeared that this was work in progress
- 3/5
Facility under renovation, lobby shabby, smelled of cigarette smoke in our bathroom and short staffed. Hopefully in the future they will get fully operational.
- 4/5
Room was newly renovated but common areas were not completed. Once completed the place will be great
- 3/5
Breakfast was complimentary. There were not a lot of choices, but it was ok for what it was. I needed to have my door card rekeyed after breakfast so a second trip to the front desk, and it was taken care of. Overall an average stay. I think once they get it put back together it'll be nice. Right now, not so much.
- 5/5
Room is excellent. Property is undergoing renovation. Would definitely stay again.
- 3/5
Bathroom was poorly organized. Breakfast was literally nothing!!!
- 2/5
This hotel is under remodeling and should not be open until it is completed. The exercise room was packed with office chairs, work supplies, and totally inaccessible. There were trash bags in the hallway, unpainted walls and missing baseboards everywhere. It will be nice completed, but don't stay there now. I tried to add photos, but it would not let me upload.
- 2/5
Property was under cpnstruction. Room at several things missing or not working. Contruction material and debris was in halls and everywhere. No pre notifocation of the construction was provided.
- 2/5
Put on 3rd floor and only 1/2 carpeted. Part padding only. Spackle dust in air, shop vac in hall, storage door open with old bedding. Very scary for a 70 year old woman traveling alone. Bags of trash by doors. Unacceptable and should get a full refund. Have asthma and had to use rescue inhalers due to air quality. Left early this morning due to stress of the environment. Then they refused to give me a receipt. Said Experia does not allow.them to print one.
- 1/5
I have a whole list and several pictures of things that went wrong at this hotel, but the absolute worst was that they gave me my room, let me settle in and get unpacked, then gave other guests keys to my room! My teenage daughter and I were traveling alone, so this was incredibly unsafe. Luckily we were not in the room when these other guests entered the room, and luckily they were honest people and didn’t steal my things! However, we slept with furniture pushed in front of the door. Here’s my list of everything else: -had to walk through staff out front smoking next to a “no smoking within 20 feet of the entrance” sign -had to check in twice due to front desk staff not being there at check in time on a Saturday (housekeeper was filling in) -most of hotel under construction, strong paint smells, carpet staples, buckets right outside door -door was hung very uneven and we had to shove a hand towel (not a washcloth!) in the crack to keep elevator and hallway noises out -sticky residue on nightstand -no toilet paper holder -stained sheets, mismatched towels -no water pressure -bathroom door had lock but didn’t close all the way -no phone or clock in room -no cable TV -wrong WiFi password given at check in -expired half and half at breakfast (exp 11/11 and I was there on 11/16) -my key stopped working at 8:30 am Above all else, lack of care!! Not a single apology! I wouldn’t have written this review if I had received a single apology.
- 2/5
No hot water in the sink. Sounds like mice running everywhere at night
- 2/5
The worst thing was shear curtains with verystrong lighting in the parking lot the windows face, we could read with the lights off at night!
- 1/5
The inn was being renovated, and the room was incomplete. The desk lamp had to be plugged in unplugged to turn on because the switch was broken. The hairdryer did not work. The TV was not hooked up until we requested it. We stayed two days. The room was not clean. The wet towels were not picked up, and the bed was not made. Also, The elevator was very stinky and unclean. The breakfast was good and the staff were kind and we’re willing to hear feedback. well, I understand the end was under renovation. This was not acceptable.. Hotels.com should make sure of their ratings. It had a high rating. If it is going through renovation, the Hotels.com needs to get quickly up today and let the public know.
- 4/5
Good place for pets. The rooms do not have carpeting, are spacious, and the first floor has sliders to the outside. There are grassy areas to walk pets and there is s small playground for children.
- 3/5
This is really an unfair review as the property is currently under construction. The remodeling is continuing while the rooms are being let out, and not all of the improvements are finished for the rooms. Some lights work, some don't ... the tile floor in the bathroom still has grout staining the surface, the rugs are dirty, etc.
- 4/5
Affordable but not the best accommodation in fairly outdated rooms.
- 5/5
Our stay was great//easy checkin//room was clean and recently remodeled//breakfast was offered sausage eggs with cheese delicious waffles juice coffee//there was old furniture stacked up in the lobby because of renovation but easy to look past because this was my a very nice stay
- 5/5
Good progress
- 5/5
renovated
- 4/5
We had a very good experience. Staff courteous, room clean, nice breakfast….the outside could be nicer and it was under construction, but that is progress. 😊
- 4/5
We usually stay at this loxation vecause of close distance to our son and wife and grand daughters.
- 5/5
When we arrived later to check in, it was awuick and ready check-in, the room was clean, well-furnished, and everything was in working order. We took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed out to the pool, which was clean and just the perfect temperature. (Cleaning was in progress when we first arrived) There are still signs that this hotel had been in need of a major makeover, with peeling wallpaper and stained (not dirty) carpeting in the halls. Work is underway, and currently the half are cluttered with a mix of old and new furniture. Breakfast was adequate, if not spectacular. Cook-it-yourself waffles, link sausage and scrambled egg patties made up the hot portion, varieties of dry cereal, instant oatmeal and bread products were available, along with coffee, tea, juices and yogurt. Or whole family is looking forward to returning to this hotel in the future.
- 4/5
Convenient location off I-81. Hallways filled with old furniture and replacement furniture in boxes but my room was fully updated. Bless them for keeping the small bottles of shampoo and conditioner plus small bars of soap.Breakfast buffet was average with both hot and cold selections. Good value.
- 1/5
The hotel was under going complete renovations. The place was dirty and cluttered. It was unsafe for guests and shouldn’t have been opened. We left and have requested a refund but haven’t gotten a response from Expedia.
- 5/5
Hotel was renovating so some things were out of place, but overall was clean and staff was friendly.
- 5/5
The hotel was in the process of remodeling, so some things were a little out of place, but everything was clean and service was great.
- 2/5
They are doing mass refurbishing and it's not well coordinated. The direct employees sat around like they would rather be on their phones. I don't have high standards but this was definitely below average. Additionally the workers are leaving windows open and there are flies and fruit flies everywhere. Fruit flies in my drink this morning was kinda gross. I'm sure it will be better once they finish refurbishing.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly. The breakfast had a nice variety of cold and hot foods.
- 2/5
Chambre très sale cheveux dans la douche, draps sales , plancher tres sales ne recommande pas, par contre piscine propre
- 1/5
TERRIBLE PLACE
- 2/5
Upon arrival, we waited 15 minutes for someone to check us in. There was no one around and it wasn’t late. The other review talk about the renovations and the first floor was really torn up. Once we finally checked in, it was apparent our room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. There were stains on bedding, lampshades, and carpet, the AC unit was physically falling apart….we discussed leaving but were too tired. The breakfast was okay, but we were happy to get back on the road. I wouldn’t stay again.
- 4/5
Its a good place to stay. Pet friendly. The breakfast was great. They are in the middle of renovation, so the property is a bit disheveled. The rooms were clean for the most part. It wasn't noisy, so we could actually relax and get some sleep. The pool was immaculate. The staff was accommodating. All in all a good place to stay.
- 5/5
Everything was ok
- 2/5
The room was clean and relatively odor-free….which is all I can say. Hotels should have to list when they’re under construction so you’re prepared for what you’re walking into. The front desk person was abrupt and the front desk area was only about 4ft wide with the construction. The rooms are tighter than I’m used to in Choice hotels of the same price point and this is the first time I’ve seen beds with throw pillow sized pillows. The pool doesn’t even have water in it. At 7am, the eggs were cold and there were only three that weren’t replaced for the hour we were down there. They had the smallest coffee cups I’ve ever seen. The price point wasn’t worth the stay.

Not nice. Shower didnt work, floors dirty, dirty towels under bathrooms counter, curtain wouldnt close, breakfast not fresh
- 2/5
This property seems to be half renovated. Pool is not operable. The carpets are all stained with paint. Our first room had a broken window lock to the outside and the door was ajar when we arrived. The second room was nominally better but smelled of paint and had bugs in it. I understand that this is a budget hotel, but this was beyond.
- 3/5
The hotel was being renovated so there was the ordinary renovation dirt and disorganization. Our room booked for four adults only was provided with three towels and the bathroom did not seem to have been cleaned at all since the last occupant. The breakfast area was missing several items and not restocked, including napkins and ketchup. The key cards were very easily demagnetized and we had to get them reset several times because we got locked out. Overall it was decent, but not my first choice for the future.
- 3/5
Hotel was in the middle of much needed renovations. Service was pleasant enough. The first room we were given was clearly not ready and still in the middle of cleaning, but had been left for the day. Bed was comfortable once we got to a room that we could stay in. The pillows were super small!
- 1/5
Pool had no water. Showers didn’t work in numerous rooms. Dirty. No help at front desk. Very disappointed compared to previous stays here!!! Will never go back
- 3/5
We have stayed here several times due to proximity to family that we visit in the area and each time has gotten worse. The pool was not in operation, nor was the gym. The place is falling apart and there is construction being done in numerous places. The room itself was not very clean. Breakfast was ok.
- 2/5
Pool is still under renovation. The food at breakfast was poor. The room although recently updated, it was still not clean.
- 3/5
Room was decent and comfortable enough for the price, but unfortunately the hotel is undergoing renovation. Many of the amenities are not available, such as the gym and laundry.
- 3/5
The breakfast was on the poor side.
- 3/5
Price was good but the hotel was in the process of being renovated. It was fine for 1 night but it should have been disclosed to us upon booking. The room showed that work had recently been done and should have been cleaned and prepared better for guests. The staff was nice.
- 3/5
Systems were down at check in. Staff person was very nice and did the best he could with checking us and our dog in. There were huge furniture cartons in the hallway on our floor. The front door was off kilter so there was about a one inch gap at the top. As it was near the elevator you could hear conversations from the hallway. Bed was very comfortable and was nice having a fridge. It was fine for a one night stay. Great Mexican restaurant nearby.
- 3/5
Furnishings old, dirty. I understand they’ll be updating the rooms; way overdue. Bed ok.
- 1/5
The room was disgusting. Nothing was cleaned. Stains, hair, and scum everywhere. Blankets were also ripped. The place should seriously be condemned as an health hazard. they refused to refund our money. We didn’t even stay. We refused to lay on those nasty beds or use that disgusting bathroom. We left and went to another hotel. Now I have to fight to get the money back that they stole from us.
- 4/5
Convenient location next to Route 81 but the place definitely needs updating.
- 3/5
Room had drywall dust all over the rug.Breakfast was good very good variety.Staff was very helpful.
- 2/5
I had no idea that it was under construction. Materials were everywhere in and around the place. There was a huge fight among the other guests preventing us from getting any sleep. We were worried for our safety thinking that it was going to be knocking down our door. No phone in the room to call the manager. Room was covered in a layer of dust.
- 4/5
We had to call the front desk to get help with the tv.We understand the property is under construction but there was drywall dust on carpet.
- 2/5
Lots of renovations going on during my stay. Although I did receive clean towels daily there was no water pressure (the shower literally wouldn't turn on) one day. I wanted coffee for my room and there was NO ONE at the front desk for assistance.
- 1/5
This place is a dive. Go elsewhere.
- 4/5
nothing special
- 2/5
Half of the hotel was under construction with supplies in the hallways and I could tell our bathtub was recently installed given the sticker still on the tub. Towels were stained and no phone in the room. We got there around 10pm with a warning that their staff was finishing up construction work and there might be some noise for about 20 min. This continued past 11pm and only stopped due to complaints. Breakfast lacked enough bowls and spoons for cereal and staff was difficult to find for assistance.
- 1/5
The property was absolutely disgusting. The parking lot had dead rats on the ground, the trash outside looked like it hadn't been emptied out in weeks, and there was on old car that was on a ramp being worked on in the parking lot. We went inside and the place smelled like beer had spilled in the lobby mixed with a very strong odor of BO and Curry. The 3rd floor where they wanted us to stay was under complete construction, the hallway was fully tarped out and had construction workers in there. They wanted us to put towels under the door when we walked into the room. The absolute worst hotel I have ever witnessed. A total DUMP!
- 4/5
Convenient
- 4/5
Very clean rooms..nice pillows.
- 2/5
Breakfast was limited, no fruit. Eggs were terrible, waffles and cereal were ok
- 5/5
The staff was frendly and the hotel was clean
- 5/5
Our stay was one night on our way to NC and then on our way back home to NY. The property appeared to be in good shape. They were however just beginning renovations to update the property. The room was clean and comfortable and close to local eateries.
- 5/5
My king size bed was comfortable. My TV remote didnt work and didnt bother to call desk because I had a late check-in. The toilet and counter are too low for people with physical disabilities. Breakfast was less than desirable. Few choices, i only had coffee and dry cereal
- 2/5
Poor lighting in bathroom. Bulbs missing. Dried urine on both sides of toilet
- 5/5
Accommodating and friendly at the front desk. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. I have no problem recommending this place.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous.
- 4/5
It was good to have a laundry room, but it needed to be cleaned. Rishi, working at the front desk, was very friendly and clearly desired to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was very basic but acceptable. Breakfast room was clean and pleasant. WIFI worked great. I would stay here again, but I would like to stay in the room I reserved.
- 5/5
Personel were all friendly and good accomadtions.
- 3/5
The property is old and has not been refreshed in the last 40 years is my guess. Some things need to be done to maintain this property. Also, why does breakfast start at only 7am. I was hoping for a 6am or 6:30am start
- 5/5
My room was clean and very nice. The only thing was the odor of animal was very noticeable the minute you walked in the door. Need extra steps to clean room of the animal smells
- 5/5
For a pet friendly facility I am very pleased with my accommodations. Typically I have stayed at other places in the U.S. and Canada and it is very evident that pets are on the property, not here. Haven’t seen breakfast yet but I’m sure I won’t be disappointed
- 4/5
