Reviews
The hotel is in a prime location with plenty of restaurants and stores nearby, but it is very old and outdated. The rooms are clean but have issues such as moisture damage, rust, and old faucets. The pool is in the basement and is small and old. The breakfast is to-go only with limited options. The front desk staff lacks personality and is unhelpful.

The room was clean and the breakfast room had a good variety of offerings. The staff was pleasant as well.
- 5/5
Great value surrounded by much more expensive options. Shower was not flow-restricted to a trickle; much appreciated.

Was booked room with jacuzzi inside when i check in no room available then down grade no refund. Elevator not work. Wifi very very slow
- 3/5
Waited over 10 minutes for an elevator to the 6th floor. Had to send the elevator to my wife while I walked down to the lobby beforehand. Rooms were very outdated jacuzzi was basic but took over 30 minutes to get it ready. Bed was sleep able but not comfortable. Not sure it was worth the increased price for the private feature.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The first room I received was dirty and not properly cleaned. The bathroom was unacceptable, and the room looked like it had not been prepared for new guests. I had to change rooms twice, which was very frustrating and inconvenient. The front desk staff was rude and unhelpful when I reported the problems. Instead of helping, they made the situation worse. I expected a clean room and respectful customer service, but I received neither.

Not the best hotel. Our room was very musty and by the looks of it people live in the hotel. It was not very quiet

Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel is centrally located with ample parking on site. Breakfast was adequate.
- 4/5
Convenient, clean, reasonable, very adequate breakfast and friendly staff. My only concern is that to get to the elevator to my room, I had to climb 2 or 3 steps, then walk a short walkway, and then down 2-3 steps again. A ramp there would have been easier. To be fair, I did not request handicap access, and did not inquire if there was another elevator. I would stay here again, but I would ask those questions. The few stairs were not impossible for me, but with bad knees, and carrying luggage, it was not easy either. OH, and my room, 403, near a stairwell, was near some sort of banging in the walls for a few hours, around 10 -12. I did not hear it through the night. Could not figure out what it was. I'm sure other rooms did not have this problem, but I booked last minute on Expedia, so I was getting their 'deal' room. It was somewhat annoying, but thank goodness it stopped. Just don't take room 403. ;)

Hotel was misrepresented in the pictures listed on Expedia. In reality, you pull into the parking lot to see a building in front of you with junk, stacked boxes in most of the windows. The front desk worker was friendly. We were given a room in the second building……..room was stuffy/ musty, carpet was filthy, roach trap behind the floor lamp, obvious well-used furniture. We left. This place has the vibe of a place someone rents by the hour…..

This hotel needs a serious cleaning and update. Parking was easy and lighted. Staff was friendly. No easy access to elevators from front desk, had to got up and down a few stairs, which wouldn't be easy for anyone with disabilities.

It is an okay hotel. The staff was friendly and check in was easy. It just needs updated. We really liked the reading lamps and extra receptacles at bedside. We did have the continental breakfast and it was decent.

The room was normal and clean. Beds are good Breakfast simple and enough Very good location Too much noise, the heater makes too much sound, and sounds are coming from other rooms. Some people are screaming, speaking, or listening to music very loudly. Sound is the main problem The only problem with the room is that the windows are locked, so you don't have any chance to fresh air.

The hotel was comfortable enough for our 2 night stay but very outdated and too many things broken. Drink machines on 3 floors were sold out, we gave up at 3, and the ice machine on our floor didn't work. I can understand not having one in every floor but at least have them work. The refrigerator in our domin froze my drinks even after we turned it down. Also the outlet in the bathroom had to be reset every time it was used. We weren't in the room that much so it was ok, but definately wouldn't want to stay there longer than the 2 nights.
- 5/5
Staff was great with directions. Good breakfast. Room was comfortable
- 2/5
Elevator wasnt working and we stayed on 6th floor.
- 4/5
Luckily, workers were nice and helped us upgrade to a slightly larger room. After thinking the room was booked as a 1 bed w/tub in room. Apparently, theres only 4 rooms like that and their booked for months in advance. So thankfully in the bigger room it balenced out. Sofa was uncomfortable to sit, sank under. Beds are super comfortable, but squeak. Bathroom water took a while to heat. Still felt amazing and enjoyed my time. Tv good as well but music louder than the dialog.
- 1/5
The room had a bad odor. There was a deadmau5 on the floor on the last day I stayed. I will never stay there again.
- 1/5
Mice in my room dead on floor

The room was great, the breakfast was great. The snow in the parking lot however, not so good.

- 5/5
Great services and the staffs were very nice
- 4/5
We appreciate the front desk specialist was able to extend our stay. I paid from Saturday to Sunday, but my friend wanted to stay longer and he reserved the same room for none more day until Monday. The front desk specialist managed to keep us in the same room. We both left at 10:30 AM, and we appreciate our stay. The building is well kept.
- 5/5
Quite environment, clean room, good food, friendly staff, convenient location.

bad eggs bad sausage
- 1/5
The hotel is extremely dated and the service is awful. They don't tell you before booking that the hotel regularly runs out of hot water late at night and there's nothing they can do. So make sure you shower as early as possible. Front desk staff were useless and barely spoke English.
- 5/5
Fair for the price paid. Room was cold which I loved. Slept like a baby. Pillows and mattress ok. Outdated room. Bathroom was cleaned well. Used the gym and had free weights (dumbells) up to 45 lbs. Didn't use the pool. Breakfast had good eggs and reasonable options. Would return.
- 2/5
No hot water. They tell you to let the water run and the hot water would come. It never came. I was told they turn off the hot water boiler to save money.
- 4/5
This is an ordinary hotel but in a good, central location in Fairfax city. It’s older, but kept extremely clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating.
- 4/5
Everything was good except in the morning there was a lot of noise and it disturbed my sleep
- 3/5
Dried out, scrambled eggs, sausage that looked barely cooked, no bagels or English muffins.
- 5/5
Clean room and property, friendly and kind staff
- 4/5
clean room. the elevator was out of order.
- 2/5
We stayed for several days, and over the course of our stay, there was one nice person at the desk; everyone else was sullen and rude. I wanted to switch to a different hotel after our first night, but I was so busy with my work conference I couldn't fit that task in. But I'll definitely never go back here again.
- 4/5
Didn’t use the pool.
- 1/5
First off, the room was filthy. The mattress had stains, the walls had something on them that I didn’t even want to figure out, and honestly, the whole place just felt gross. The shower? Don’t even get me started. The water pressure didn’t work, so you had to keep pushing a button over and over just to get the showerhead to do anything. It was beyond frustrating. The mattress was so hard it felt like sleeping on a rock. To top it all off, the elevators were broken, so we had to haul our stuff up to the third floor. After a long day, that was the last thing we needed. I didn’t even feel comfortable eating breakfast in the morning because, based on how the hotel looked and felt, it didn’t seem safe or clean. The only positive thing I can say is that the front desk staff was nice—but that’s about it. I wouldn’t stay here again, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I wish we had seen the full condition of the room earlier, but it was late, and we were only there for one night. Never again.

- 5/5
Nice staff, clean rooms! Convenient to good food!
- 2/5
Upon entering the hotel, I learned the elevator was out of service. That meant hauling luggage up four flights of stairs—not ideal, though the stairwells were thankfully short. The room itself was immediately uncomfortable. The air conditioning was off upon arrival, and with outside temperatures at 87°F, the interior felt the same. Even after setting the unit to “High” and “Cool,” there was little change after 20 minutes. Most concerning was an unpleasant odor near the desk area, which made it very difficult to work. It was musty and stale enough to suggest a lack of deep cleaning or maintenance. This experience didn’t meet expectations, especially given the hotel’s proximity to a major metropolitan area. I hope management addresses these issues for future guests.
- 5/5
Friendly staff , clean and reasonable prices
- 1/5
The front desk person was rude and not helpful at all. I could not open the bathroom door all of the way because a shelf blocked it. I will never stay there again or recommend it to anyone.
- 3/5
For the price, it wasn't terrible, and the staff were great, but it has some really bad qualities. Would I stay there again? Probably. But... First, the room itself was clean, and HUGE, but very dated. The bathroom was tiny, with zero counter space. You could sit on the toilet, wash your legs in the shower and brush your teeth all at the same time. The room we were in (102) is in a terrible location, along with every other room in that hallway... BOTH ends of the hallway can only be accessed by stairs, meaning if you want to bring a cart full of luggage to your room, YOU CAN'T. Thankfully, ours was right at the top of the steps, so we parked it at the bottom and carried our things up. Our room was handicap sized, but no one in a wheelchair is getting to that room. There is a homeless problem in the area (they were hanging out on the parking lot benches during the day), so the door at our end of the building was locked past a certain time, meaning we had to walk to the other end of the building to get out in the morning. I didn't see a pool at all, but there is a random barber shop IN the building right down from our room. The elevator on our end of the building was broken the entire time we were there, and had a sign that said it would be fixed "tomorrow" and blamed a guest for breaking it. The ice machine is not in a convenient location, 2 very long hallways, a lobby and a set of stairs later The lot itself was safe enough, but the parking spaces are tiny.
- 4/5
Staff very professional
- 5/5
Thank you for upgrading my room without me asking.
- 3/5
Reserved 2 rooms with 2 queen beds but front desk said the elevators were not working in that area. they moved us to the other wing with 2 rooms with king beds. Then someone started cooking in their room on our floor making the hallways smell like fried fish lol. my 2 boys said they saw bedbugs on one of the beds in their room. 2nd comfort inn this trip, 2/5. Thai restaurant downstairs was awesome tho.
- 3/5
Liked: Convenient location for the Eagle Bank Arena.
- 4/5
Staff was very pleasant and nice upon checking in and out. The only problem was being on the second floor and having to lug my luggage up to my room because the elevator was down. But very nice, clean, and decent place to spend a night or two.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Helpful.
- 5/5
Restaurant on site was great and right next to Electrify America charging station!
- 2/5
First room was adjacent to another room and didn't feel safe. Second room was ok but didn't need a big bath tub in the middle of the room for a single person.
- 4/5
It was a quick check in,no problem, room was clean and had a mini fridge and microwave, only thing I wish they had mentioned there pool although indoor is only seasonal and wasn't open during our stay this past weekend. Breakfast was good and well serviced.

Although the property was definitely clean, it is vwry outdated and worn. The key card disnt work most of the time in the door. The beeakfast was basic and the use of foam cups and plates is unacceptable in size and material. Staff was friendly amd helpful.
- 5/5
Stayed here several times and will definitely be back
- 1/5
The room was terrible. They could do a better job of maintaining the property.
- 3/5
The hotel is in need of a remodel bad. It wasn’t welcoming or inviting. The entire parking lot was a sheet of ice and dangerous. The front desk told me it had only been plowed at the beginning of the storm and never came back.,

Bathroom was a little rundown but in general the room was very comfortable. Excellent mattress. Slept well.

This hotel needs renovations and serious repairs. After reporting no hot water for a shower, it was never restored and I ended up with no hot water for the rest of the stay. No other rooms. This is the second time I’ve not been given the type of room I’ve booked because there was a problem with the original booked room. The toilet also didn’t flush properly. The coffee maker is woefully inadequate and the coffee in the was horrible.
- 5/5
Perfect for my needs. Rooms were spacious and had up to date tv, coffee maker, fridge etc for my needs. Wifi was strong enough for me to be able to work from my room and the staff was helpful
- 5/5

- 3/5
The hotel is conveniently located. The mattresses were old. The carpet dirty. Needs updating. Would not stay again
- 3/5
Check in was at 5am due to a delayed flight. I had called front desk the night before to alert them but still they had marked me as a no show despite my having already paid. Front desk was annoyed I requested a 12 pm later check in to sleep. Room was clean. Bed was average. Hot tub was a nice touch to de stress post flight. Entire hotel was dated. Wish the room came with water bottles as most hotels do these days. Average price, average experience. You get what you pay for.
- 1/5
We had a terrible experience at this hotel. We stayed two nights and there was no housekeeping service available. We also had issues with the hot water in the room, the TV remote control and the telephone. Overall, it has been our worst experience at this type of hotel.
- 3/5
Property needed updating..didn’t feel clean like other Comfort Inn.. was more expensive than ones more updated.
- 1/5
The hotel was full of immigrants the property was dirty trash everywhere. The immigrants seem to run the hotel and the parking lot. It was disgusting. I did not feel safe.
- 1/5
Photos of this property are deceiving. This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. Our room was dirty. There were pubic hairs in the tub. Hair was all over the sheets of the beds and the carpet was dirty. The worst Comfort Inn we’ve ever stayed in!

When we arrived, there were many people hanging out in the parking lot lingering. On the first night when we returned from dinner, three large rats ran down the sidewalk in front of the main entrance into the bushes in the garden, and it appeared there were more! The next morning, we decided to check out early and one of the large rats was dead in the flower bed right outside the front entrance.

This hotel is in a prime location - there are lots to do around it; plenty of restaurants, stores, etc. The hotel itself is very old and outdated. The room I stayed in had the bathroom door bubbling due to moisture and goodness grief, they stuck me in a room next to the gym! I would've asked for a different room but the person that helped check me in was so unpleasant, I didn't even bother. The bathroom is small, like only room for one person to be in because the door closes so close to the toilet. You can see rust at every corner of the bathroom. The faucets are so old. The carpet is dark and the room looks like a dreary museum. The bed springs are horrendous. You can feel it and as soon as you move, you hear everything. They advertise they have a pool but the pool is in the basement. You have to go down a dark alley to get to it, which is scary as a woman. The pool is enclosed so you feel suffocated. The pool is nothing to fawn over. It is severely old, too. This hotel says it offers breakfast but it's to take and go. There is no sit down option. You get things like a muffin and a banana to go. The front desk has zero personality. They don't say hi, they don't look up when speaking with you, and they mumble under their breath. If you're looking for just a one night stay, then this will be fine. But if you're wanting a more relaxed feeling, then skip this hotel.
- 3/5
Dingy hotel with little personality.
- 2/5
When we checked in at 4pm we found out that the pool was not heated and was probably cold. I went to see for myself and found the pool locked at 4pm when it was supposed to be unlocked at noon. Useless! The heater in our room was very loud and the TV channels kept going in and out. Overall, a terrible stay.
- 4/5
Was ok, front desk nice and friendly very nice person.
- 1/5
I was not given the type of room I reserved and was confirmed. The tv did not work correctly, had a horrible tv guide so you didn’t know what was on at least half the channels and at least half the channels were not available. The bathroom was a total disaster. The jet tub in the middle of the room was a major inconvenience. The room was dark, the carpet needed replaced, the mini pillows did not provide adequate support. The room was stuff and hot. The air conditioner and mini refrigerator were extremely noisy. Personally I feel that I should be given a significant discount given the number of issues and the fact it was not the room I reserved and was confirmed. It was certainly my last stay at this location and I intend to contact corporate to lodge a complaint.
- 1/5
This property was disappointing. Although the property was slightly cheaper I still expect to stay in a clean, well maintained property. This property was neither. The only redeeming feature was the friendly front desk person.

The next morning, as we were coming down for breakfast, the elevator got stuck! We were amazed at how quickly the staff handled the situation, got us out of there within 5 minutes! The staff is super, super nice, we loved the breakfast lady who is always so friendly and helpful. But Comfort Inn needs to step up and give this hotel some TLC.
- 5/5
Clean environment
- 5/5
The hotel was nice. I will say, expedia still says theyre pet friendly. I was very disappointed when i got there and they were not pet friendly and non refundable. Made me feel like i was incompetent and i was embarassed.
- 4/5
This is a nice property. Rooms are spacious, updated and clean. Our room had a kitchenette w/ stove & oven. Available upon request are pots, pans or dishes. (Not a complaint, just FYI). Breakfast had eggs (scramble & hard-boil), sausage, waffles, yogurt and more. My only complaint is the Indoor pool is not heated.
- 5/5
The staff is super friendly, my room was clean, it was really quiet and I had a nice stay.

All of the room windows at this property do not lock. I was on the 2nd floor and did not feel safe. The front desk representative was very kind and moved me to a room on a higher floor, but I would not recommend this property for solo travelers.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, convenient to the NOVA area
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and friendly
- 4/5
Cons: Chemical Smell of cleaning products overwhelming when we arrived. Weirdly low sink and toilet. No coffee for coffee maker. Sticky floor in bathroom. Overall good for what we needed but not if you had to spend a lot of time in room.
- 4/5
The first room I was assigned had inadequate AC running so I was moved to a second room. In the second room the hairdryer was not functioning so they gave me a key card to an empty room and I used the hair dryer in that room. I found that unusual so made sure I did not leave any hair in that second room since it would probably not be cleaned again before another guest was placed in it. The rooms were clean and quiet and the beds comfortable. Both the night and daytime staff I interacted with were polite and helpful. Good breakfast options.
- 5/5
Everything was fine except for bathroom sink was way too low and I'm not that tall and I had to bend down so much to wash my face.
- 2/5
expensive considering services
- 5/5
Overall sensible value convenient to shopping, travel and cool attractions saddened that the inn don't offer fitness room.
- 5/5
This is a very clean hotel with very helpful and polite staff. There is a great supermarket, 7-11, Wendy's, and gas station within easy walking distance. The only real downside is the fitness room...very small and outdated, and it needs to be wiped down more often.
- 5/5
As presented and expected
- 5/5

The hotel is well located in Fairfax
- 4/5
Our room was wonderful. I'm in a wheelchair and we had an accessible room w/king size bed. There was plenty of room for my wheelchair. The large shower had handrails and a nice large bath chair. To our surprise, we also had a small kitchen with a little stove. The refrigerator was hotel sized, but had plenty of room. There were USB ports in the lights next to the bed. The bed was harder than I liked, but to be fair, the one I have at home has a big fluffy topper. The ac kept the room nice and cold. I was a little disappointed that the hot breakfast was only eggs and sausage. There wasn't any batter to make waffles. Also, there wasn't any decaffeinated coffee offered. But all in all it was a pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We were on a 4 day family trip to Washington but didn't want to pay the sky high hotel rates of DC. We found this place in Fairfax that was 1/4 the price & had mediocre expectations. We were wrong, location was great & felt safe. Drive to DC was only 30-40 minutes. Room was clean, free breakfast & free parking were great. Only interactions with staff were at check-in & breakfast & they were very professional. Kids loved the pool. We will stay here again next time we visit the nations capital.
